Do the quest Red Wine to Lady Shae +1 Just buy a bunch of red wine and give her 4 at a time. Brought my faction from dub to apprehensive within 200 bottles.
There are a few NPCs to kill that raise it..

But for the life of me I can't remember who or where. Most likely Neriak, some guard/NPC attacked and I instantly riposted it down. Where ever it was, it's probably too few mobs to make a difference, and rat whiskers would be faster still.

Ways of Gaining Faction

The easiest way I did it was doing the Emerald Warriors' Items. The quest is incredibly simple and you can buy most items off newbies for 1gold a spiderling eye (Spiderling Eye is the hardest item to obtain and does NOT stack).

Also, if you are in CB and are at slaver pits, make sure to give the keys you obtain to the slaves, this also adds with Merchants of Felweithe.

Anyway, when you finally get this faction it is very rewarding, espically for an ogre to me. I have ally faction with the merchants, better then at my hometown of Oggok. But it does take days of hard work and determination.

Kill Orc slavers and release these slaves for coin and faction.
You have to get keys 18 and 19 for male and female Wood Elf.

At some point in time, I have managed to destroy my faction with the Merchants of Felwithe.. Not quite sure how. Anyway, it is my Home town, I am a HIE. How can I regain the love and trust of these merchants?

I have the same problem! I am a HIE Cleric of Tunare and have "amiable" faction with my guild, but somehow all the Felwithe merchants con "apprehensive" to me... I have not killed any of the above NPCs, nor have I buffed or healed anyone who did so (that I know of). Fixing this faction is very important to me. Anyone with knowledge of how to do so, I would really appreciate your help! Thanks loads!

Once you have good faction (Simply kill MANY Crushbone Orcs) with Regren (Emerald Warriors), do Regren's quest. That will raise your faction with the Merchants of Felwithe.

and if you don't want to lower DE faction by killing orcs, you can also raise emerald warrior faction by killing aqua goblins (lake rathe, OOT, butcherblock mnts)
Free wood elf slaves in Crusbone

You can gain faction with the Merchants in Kelethim by relesing woodelf slaves in Crushbone. When you kill the Orc slavers they drop keys with numbers on them. Every slave sex/race have their own key, if you give the slave a copper he will tell you what key he needs, simply give the right key to the right slave and you will get a bit of good faction. And woodelf slaves gives faction with the merchants in Kelethim.
