I used the tumpy tonic portion of the trueshot longbow task. I started amiable and I handed in 1080 tonics and i changed to kindly. that is 540 tasks. Which tells me that each task only raises the faction 1 point. You do have the added benefits of raising the other factions, but regardless it will be a very slow process
faction VERY hard to raise
# Oct 28 2002 at 2:53 PM Rating: Default
This faction is almost impossible to raise. I am trying to get it up so I can do the turn in for my White Dragonscale Cloak. I started out dubious to merchants, and after turning in hundreds of Crushbone Belts/Shoulderpads I am STILL DUBIOUS! Not even 1 stinkin faction level! I am assuming that it may take as many as 1,000 Crushbone Belts just to go from dubious to apprehensive. Maybe more. Good luck raising this faction it's almost impossible.
How can I raise this faction?
# Sep 22 2002 at 5:00 PM Rating: Default
I need to get this faction up so I can do the turn in for my White Dragonscale Cloak, but one way I can NOT raise the faction is by killing in Crushbone. Those orcs give a Indigo Brotherhood faction hit and I would really prefer to not become KOS in my hometown (I am a dark elf necro). So if anyone knows how to raise this faction without taking any evil race faction hits please post here!

I checked, and, according to the quest stats, EVERY quest above raises this faction without lowering the indigo brotherhood faction.

Now, you cannot hunt to collect some of these items, but someone else could, and you could buy the items, or, if they are nodrop, they could make the kill unassisted by you, then you could grab the quest item to go do the quest.

No it's not easy. That's why it's called a quest, and not a milk-run. But if you want faction bad enough, you're going to have to work for it.
Evil Race Guide to being Accepted
# Mar 30 2002 at 10:25 AM Rating: Default
This is my guide of getting accepted into Kaladim and the merchants, myself, I am a ogre, so this is a VERY contriversel faction for me because Ogres hate Dwarves and Dwarves hate Ogres.

Anyhow, first, go into CB and slaughter, literally, hundreds to thousands of orcs. Doing this will allow you to gain massive faction with the elves, and the emerald warriors so you can practice in GFAY.

Now, you probably have around kindly-ally with dwarves. Take all the CB Belts you collected and turned them in. I collected three bags and my faction with Craknek Warriors was easily repaired with a few lizardman quests.

Then, go kill the bandits in Butcherblock for faction with the Miners (Rogue) Guild in Kaladim. Now, you can roam around Kaladim freely!

This is a good quest, not only for faction, but exp, items, cash, and the sheer simplness of it.
How I got my Iksar Necro to bank in Kaladim
# Jun 20 2001 at 12:42 PM Rating: Excellent
First I killed Pegleg's badit group countless times to get my faction with the guards, warrior guild and rouge guild all up to amiable. could have quit earlier but i like amiable to be the lowest con.

Next i did the cb belts quest in the warrior guild enough so that the banker is dubious.

now i can bank in kaladim. The banker is on the Merchantsofkaladim faction, no doubt about it.

The warriors regard me as an ally, the rouges are amiable, banker and merchants are dubious, paladins and clerics still glare.

I'll continue the belt quest untill the paladins are dubious then do the bone chip quest till they all are amiable or higher.

Somoething nice to know is that when you need to sell all the armor you get from the belt quest you should sell to trumpy irontoe. he is on warrior faction not merchant and will give much better prices.

Gadianton 50 Iksar Necro
Well loved in Freeport, Qeynos, High Pass, Rivervale, and working on Kaladim :)

Do the RunnyEye Goblin quest (give their beads to Bloodforge) and I swear this faction is raised.

# Jan 01 2001 at 11:15 PM Rating: Default
I'm raising this one wiht cb belts and lego pads only because i want to bank in kaladim.

Is the merchants of kaladim faction the one i need to raise for the banker, i allready have rogues to dubious and guardds to amiable and the banker still scowls at me (
RE: kaladim banker-what faction?
# Jan 22 2001 at 12:59 AM Rating: Default
I'm a dark elf that's actually received warmly by the warriors and dubiuosly by the merchants, yet the banker still wacks me upside the head a few times if I show my face in his bank. I too would love to know how to improve the Bankers faction. Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks
