Illusion = no faction

I was informed by someone that faction adjusts gained under illusion don't count later, when you drop illusion.
Just what I heard.

Thats untrue. Faction hits count, regardless of illusions.
Idea that might work

In a lot of quests, if you are in wolf form, and you hand the items to the NPC, then have invis cast on you with the items hand in window still open, then click the give button.

This might not work. But it does on a few NPC's. Plus that way you would not be KOS as wolf form, and you would be Indifferent, (better than apprehensive, when you click the give button.

Hope this helps! I'm going to try it myself.

Better than apprehensive

You have to be better than apprehensive to do the supplies quest.

I just tried with my human cleric of Mithaniel Marr.

He ate all items and told me to not let the door hit my *** on the way out.

I guess you guys have already answered it, but there isn't another way to raise faction with these danged priests other than that one quest, is there? I'm a dwarven cleric, worship Brell Serilis, and they're apprehensive to me, so I can't train... I just want to learn meditate! :P Oh well, I'll keep trying, and if any of you come up with another way to raise faction, please don't hesitate to post it!
This is it, but apprehen enough?

Cleric Faction

You can gain faction by doing the cleric supplies quest. You need 2 ruined wolf pelts, 1 black wolf pelt, and three foraged berries, which you can find in misty thicket.

correction - 1 foraged berries. They spawn in the gully by the Tower in the Newbie area. Apparently u need to do it about 18-20 times to get the faction up

Can you group with a new character halfling druid and let them turn in note.. delete and do it again with you grouped each time?
No, you don't receive faction while grouped
# Oct 02 2001 at 11:54 PM Rating: Good

You don't get the faction also when a person does a quest just because you are grouped.

Nothing an iksar can do for this faction, sorry. However, once you've given Joogl Honeybugger lots of bandages, and killed tons of Runnyeye goblins, you can get off KOS to all halflings in Rivervale, Misty Thicket, and Nektulos Forest, except the clerics. The clerics stay in their own little corner near the Kithicor zone in RV. They apparently aren't very agressive, or have a small agro range, because coming in from Kithicor I've never had them agro on me, despite the fact most mobs that are red and ready to attack would have. Just being on the opposite wall is enough to avoid them, don't worry about it.

Make sure to kill lots of Runnyeye goblins to get Stormreapers up, though, becuase Ella Foodcrafter, a high level druid in Misty Thicket, is a lot more agressive than the clerics, and loves to root and cast a very nasty cold-based DoT spell that does 600 points of initial damage. She's killed me several times until I've killed enough goblins to get on her good side.

What I am trying to figure out is since I am a DE cleric and am KOS to the clerics in Rivervale, but ally to the rest of the zone, can I use the halfling illusion mask to trick the clerics and then have alot of the quest? I am thinking I won't have enough backpacks for this task though :)
Nope, still kos with halfling illusion as cleric DEF

1 quest will raise faction
# Jun 11 2001 at 12:43 PM Rating: Decent
The "Cleric Supplies" quest in Rivervale will raise this faction. Hail Beek Guinders inthe cleric guild-hall to start the quest. See

About the New Quest

Hey,
Recently brought my Dark Elf Cleric friend to Rivervale, so he could kick it with my other Halfling Druid friend. So..., he has raised faction with everybody except cleric guild.
Figures huh!
Any ideas on how to give items to the guy with out getting KOSed first?
Ideas?
Anyone?
Greatly Appreciated!

Has he tried having a formchanging spell cast on him? (Like wolf-form)

Then again, his problems are probably deity-based. He probably worships some god who is unfriendly towards Bristlebane. I don't know how to solve those. I made my chars agnostic to have easier faction, but that is not really an option with clerics ;-)
RE: About the New Quest

Unfortunately,
I have already tried the wolf-form change also, and regardless of being in DE state or wolf form state, the Priests of Mischief still conned the same (Kill that ****). Which I can't really understand since the wolf form works with everyone else to be indifferent with, but that is one of the cities of the Druid, so possibly they can see past that. I still am timid about trying out the halfling illusion mask (would have some serious planning behind it)
Indifferent is enough to get squad ring recharged
# Oct 08 2000 at 4:28 PM Rating: Good
Hello

As an agnostic halfling rogue, I was indifferent with Hendi.

She recharged my ring.

Any rogue can become indifferent by sneaking, maybe that is enough, but I have not tried.
New Quest
# Sep 29 2000 at 6:33 PM Rating: Default
There's a new quest that results in a level 1 cleric spell and a few coppers. It also raises faction with GuardiansoftheVale, MayorGubbin, AND THE PRIESTSOFMISCHIEF! Give 2 ruined wolf pelts, 1 black wolf skin, and a handful of berries to Beek Guinders on the stage in the cleric guildhall. 3 such berries spawn in the depression between the abandoned tower and the Misty Thicket zone wall. I predict newbie Halfling Clerics may never need to buy spells again. :D
How much faction do I need to have to recharge squad ring?
# Sep 07 2000 at 9:05 PM Rating: Default
I am an agnostic halfling rogue.

I have indifferent faction.

Is this enough for Hendi Mrubble to recharge my squad ring, and not keep it?

I would rather keep it, unusable, than lose it in an attempt to check if I have enough faction. I worked hard for it.
There Is No Way Thus Far
# Aug 24 2000 at 3:53 PM Rating: Default
OK, for all you people trying to raise faction with the Priests of Mischief, I am assuming you want to recharge the squad ring.
Well...
There is no way, except for if you are a halfling and turned in the original guild note. That is the only time I believe you will get faction with the Priests of Mischief.
I believe this was done so that only halflings get the full benifit of the squad ring!!!
But you can always get ring, use charge, raise faction with Guardians of Vale, and get another :)
ENJOY!!!
No, I tried that
# Aug 14 2000 at 2:53 PM Rating: Decent
I consulted with Hendi Mrubble (after she took my squad ring without recharging it; never trust a follower of Bristlebane) and went through the whole process of healing and curing, but never got any faction hits for it. I've not found any way to raise PriestsofMischief at all.
faction
# Jul 24 2000 at 8:34 PM Rating: Decent
So far, the only way to raise faction with the Priests of Mischief is when you turn in your letter as a halfling cleric. One might gain faction from getting healed there, but I haven't tried it yet.
RE: faction
# Aug 27 2000 at 8:50 AM Rating: Decent
Nope, getting healed, or poison cured, doesn't raise faction. I've tried.

Well, the only way I know of getting the ring recharged and not being a halfling is to worship Bristlebane. My rogue follows Fizzlethorp and gets it recharged all the time. Not much help, but Verant really needs to work on that. I finally got the squad ring at 28, and ended up using it to save a 16 druid.
