Classes: The Shaman

Shamen - primitive power. The only magic using class of the barbarians, ogres and trolls, shamen get a variety of spells that combine aspects of most of the other magic using classes. This combination, along with the racial strength, means the class can be played in a variety of different ways.

What is the best way to develop and play your shaman? What spells and skills are the most and least useful? Can a shaman be soloed, and if so how? How should you play your shaman in a group?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Shaman and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

not 100% sure but I think the link describes the great debate of Focus line not great for everbody, but I think the Sham Focus line over writes some of the casters self shields is your main question.

You should read the mesage by Sunaeri LaSuin an 61 Enchanter
and some of the other messages are quite intertaing.
Like the one about MBG F07 and 1/3 peeps ran away-lol

I F07 myself, never had a Caster ask me for other spells to replace it? If they did not problem.

On occassion, I have had casters ask for Infusion of Spirit as Focus won't stack with their self-only shield. I have never had anyone say anything about focus overwriting it, rather I get the message stating that the toon is protected and the spell did not stick.
