Classes: The Paladin

Paladins - Icons of Virtue. The paladin combines the strength and battle prowess of a fighter with the healing and buffing of a cleric.

What is the best strategy for developing your paladin? Can a paladin be soloed, and if so, how? How should you play your paladin within a group? What skills should you concentrate on developing? What spells are most useful, and least useful? What armor and weapons should your paladin be seeking out?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Paladin and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

Hello,

I am currently a LVL 69 Paladin on EMar, and i was hopeing someone could help me out with some questions i have.

Ive been grouping at the Farm in DSH sinse i was lvl 65, and its great EXP so far...the only problem being that sometimes its impossible to get a group there, as it is so popular at the moment. My question is this...Where at LVL 69, with 200 AA's could i Solo for EXP if i cant find a group? I have prety decent gear, full suit of defiant, etc. Is it even possible for a Paladin of my LVL to Solo anywhere? I really dont like waiting around for hours not getting into groups. If anyone could shed some much needed light on this subject, and let me know where the best spots to Solo are, or a good spot to get as group with good EXP i would really appreciate it.

-Thanks

The key to high end paladin soloing is 2 things really after gear and aa. 1. There is a spell line that starts at 70 with Ward of Tunare from a quest in the devastation. That spell has kept me alive for as long as i can remember. It's been nerfed multiple times now but it still does what it's supposed to which is give an ac and attack boost as well as proc a HOT when you are attacked by a mob. 2. Solo on undead. We get slay undead aa which causes massive criticals versus undead as well as undead direct damage and undead procs. I dont know what weapon you are using but if you have 2-3 slay undead aa you should try and camp the undead in arcstone. I was soloing there at 70. Easy singles and plenty of room to med up between fights. I honestly cant think of a better spot than that at your level so i suggest you try those things.

The Murkglider Caves in WoS are also pretty good. I was soloing them up until 75 and then moved to the undead in Dire. Just make sure you root them, as they run quick.
