Classes: The Paladin

Paladins - Icons of Virtue. The paladin combines the strength and battle prowess of a fighter with the healing and buffing of a cleric.

What is the best strategy for developing your paladin? Can a paladin be soloed, and if so, how? How should you play your paladin within a group? What skills should you concentrate on developing? What spells are most useful, and least useful? What armor and weapons should your paladin be seeking out?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Paladin and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

Level 55 Gear Question

I've spent some time recently trying to gear up while I plug away at my defensive AAs. If anyone has the time or inclination to suggest any upgrades worth the time and money, I'd be appreciative of the advice.

I've tried to stay away from attunable gear whenever possible, but I'm thinking it might be time to bite the bullet and start buying magnetic. Any thoughts?

I've read that a really nice shoulder piece drops in the HHK monster mission. If anyone can suggest simillar drops, that would be cool too. I'm in a family guild, so raid drops aren't really a possibility.

If my only real option is magnetic, I suppose I can bite the bullet and start saving up. At the moment, I've only got about 10K banked.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Personally, I've got no problem with attunable gear. It's usually reasonably price due to the simple fact you can't resell it once you use it. Everyone wants to be able to make some money off their old stuff. That's fine till you start getting to the higher levels, then it becomes less viable due to the simple fact that most gear you're going to get is either attunable or no drop.

That being said, the DoN cultural stuff is pretty sweet with the augments. It's kind of pricey on my server right now, but might be more reasonable on yours. Otherwise, you could do DoN missions are start saving up crystals. Lots of pretty decent stuff from those merchants too, and if you're short a few crystals you can always buy some from the farmers.

Thanks for the suggestions Kakar.

I tried to get my usually play group interested in DoN when it came out, and they weren't really having it. Maybe I'll try again. I haven't actually tried any DoN missions, as I'm level 55, and it always seems like DoN groups are much higher level. Folks my level are either hanging out in the Hotspots or the planes. (or MM missions)

As for the DoN cultural stuff, I'm not sure what it's going for on CT. I will definately look into it. I just kinda assumed it wasn't worth it until high level. Probably an oversight on my part.

Thanks again!
