Classes: The Monk

Monks - masters of hand to hand damage. The monk is a powerful fighting class. With their unique set of skills and need to keep their weight load down, monks are a very complex class to develop and play correctly.

What is the best way to develop your monk? Which skills should the monk concentrate on learning? What is the best fighting style for a monk? Can a monk be soloed, and if so how? How should a monk be played within a group? How can a monk best use his skills? What weapons and armor should you try to get for your monk?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Monk and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

Ive heard alot about going defensive aa's on monk but my question is what are the aa's just combat agility and combat stability? how many lvls in them do i need to be proficient Not all 23 Ihope or else Its gonna take Forever. Also was looking at weap affinity does it help with shammy procs like puma/jag/leopard? I duo with a sham quite a bit and this would speed things up considerably. anyway would love if someone could take all the aa's and kinda tell me what to spend my first 200 or so on if they have time ty :P

well spend them all on maxing CA and CS for your level it may be mundane and take forever but it is well worth it for the extra avoidance and mitigation
