Classes: The Warrior

Warriors - the tank class. Combining a powerful offense with a strong defense, warriors are best suited to slugging it out toe to toe with the monsters they face.

What is the best way to develop and play your warrior? What skills are the most useful for a warrior to develop and master? Can a warrior be soloed, and if so how? How should the warrior be played within a group? What weapons and armor whould the warrior seek out?

Post your strategies on how to best play and develop the Warrior and read, rate and comment on what others have to say.

Best soloer would be the beastlord, followed by the SK. Warrior would be the worst soloer.

All of them have roles in groups. SK, Pally and warrior are tanks, the other two are dps. Personally, I like beastlords in my groups, because of their mana regen spells.

Most powerful in what way? In a raid, warriors are irreplacable.
All the other classes can usually be replaced by another, but not the warrior.

si, i agree you say you need a mostlikely solo class, with the beast you'll have a pet and good spells, decent to solo. Sk is also a great and not to mention FUN class, easy to solo and to group.

If you end up having it where you might become high enough to get interested in raids and stuff a warrior is still THE BEST and in my opinion the funnest class to play period. :-) but DEFFINATLY not the best to solo with...hehe certinaly means death...

But hey whatever you choose, as long as you like it and it works for you and your time to play on EQ, have fun hun ;-)

If you want to be able to melee yourself while soloing definatly go for the Beasty. any type of tank wheather it is a war pally or an sk, is gonna mean allot of equipment upgrades, tanks always have to have the best equipment available to handle the play at their level. for the ultimate challenge I would say play the war, a DE war means allot of work, and would recomend putting some extra points into str so you can wear heavier armour at the lower levels. any of the classes can be enjoyable, just give it time.

if you just want group demand, the best two classes for groups wanting you all the time is cleric, and enchanter.

From what I understand right now Beasties are considered the most overpowered class in the game, according to some people thats why they didn't bring them into eq2, but thats all hearsay, I still think the nec is the most powerful toon
