I think they can pop anywhere in the zone, BUT, they regularly pop near "9 pop" and Taskmaster which you get to via the main entrance from SH rather than the secret way. On eqatlas, taskmaster is 8... "9 pop" is the big room to the south (near the deep zone) of 8. There is one that pops in each room..respawn time unknown. In room near taskmaster...the fungal fiend pops at loc neg 763 by 1158.
This is also the same areas that you canf ind some underbulks.... there is also a room (near 11 on the eqatlas map)that you take an elevator down to that also has like 3-4 pops of underbulks.

I was with a group in echo at 33 and we fought some of these. most were red but one was yellow, so they must at least go down to 35 minimum
This monster drops Razor Fungus Flesh as well. Not sure if this is just vendor fodder or could be used in a tradeskill.
The level range is a tad bit off on this, I went there a couple of days ago, and all of them conned yellow or white to a 36war.

This guy DEFFIANTLY drops Razor Fungus Claws. Quite a nice item for a meele char to put in range. Killed about 3 of the mand got one drop of razor fungus claws.

Just so you all know, putting any stat items in your ammo slot does NOT give you the stats, it has to be in pri/sec/range slot to give you the stats.
So all those people putting shissar claws and razor fungus claws in ammo slots are just wasting space for other things, like fishing grubs . . .

Just so YOU know, whether its a bug or as it is, the razorfungus spores, wILL grant the STR and STA bonus as well as the CHA hit even if you have them in a slot in your backpack.
Tested this out two days ago and figured it HAD to be a bug. Maybe since they are "spores" you are constantly inhaling them and being affected? Dunno, but thats the way it was as of 3/31/03.

This is because it is edible. Like any other food, it has to be the "first in line" to be eaten to gain the stat. You don't have to eat it, and its recommended you consistently chomp on your other food to stay full and in turn, will prevent you from consuming your stat-food. (same with drinks)

i have a 35 shaman and it gets preety hard to kill white mobs... so can someone please tell me the hp and what this creature hits for thanks

Does anyone know where this mob spawns, and if there is a place holder. I have run with groups in Echo a few times, and have never seen him. Any information would be appreciated.

OK, as a "weak" lvl 46 wiz who has over 200 int, I started to look for plus STR and INT items so I can carry more loots, and thought the claw would be perfect since I have nothing in the ammo slot. I got the razor fugus claws and razor fugus spores from the 1st fiend I killed. What I found out is the claw does NOT inc str, but the spores does (although -5cha too) if I put the spores before my food... and the spores is a "snack". If anyone know how to get the claw work, add your post. In the mean time, I am going to report the bug. Thx

I am on AB, Named Ikeren. I have low Str and Need an ammo slot item (saw a cleric with one, so I know its Clr Useable)

Throwing boulders rock. 36DMG 35DLY. I found 6 on the ground at the cabilis bank with my SK Yshale.

Finaly they did something right. These and the Underbulks in Echo both drop a stackable thrown weapon. Both are 10/15 and All/All. The Underbulk claw is -5 cha and 150 range,and also a common drop. The one this beast drops is 170 range and +5 STR, but a bit more rare. I've only been able to get 1 sofar.
These new throwing toys are great for us short race rogues that can't use throwing boulders or for monks that are worried about the weight they carry and want better range then the old thrown weapons had.
I can't wait to hit a Deadly Strike with 1 of these.

This guy's pretty cool lookin. I don't have luclin, but I haven't been impressed just by the pictures of the new mobs. This is the first guy that I've seen that is really cool looking.
