Was about to do this quest but saw my elaborate armor almost equivalent to these. Kinda glad for it yet kinda sad that defiant armor made this quest obsolete.

And the clicky? On farming/grinding... really pointless, all it does is get pet ate. On Boss mobs/named? All it does is get pet ate...and not you ate...so you can DoT the living crap out of something and not get summoned right off the bat.
I don't have access to upper level stuff, and I just came back, but I know...even with that minimum loss of stats, this robe beats that robe, hands down.

first off a big thanks to Master Vektil's post to the location of the NPC its the only reason I could find him!
second, the quest does work. Last night my lvl 72 cleric got his gloves.
third, Tenish is not lvl 75. it coned dark blue to me (73 druid) and my cleric.
I just tried to get an armor quest today, with my 71 druid. He will not give me the task. Says he has no work for someone as young as me. Come back when you are more experienced. Any ideas? I didn't think this was a faction quest, but maybe so?
The quest giver is definitely broken. I already have the gloves with my 71 Magician, and just went to him to do the cap quest. Now he tells me to come back when I'm more experienced (still at level 71). I /bug reported it, hopefully it's fixed soon.

I think this quest is broken atm, I've already posted on the Sony boards about this fact. To test I ran a 71 Monk there, couldn't get the quest. Tried a 72 Druid (that has already done the quest a few times) and couldn't get the quest. I tried with a 75 Rogue and WAS able to get the quest. So, either Sony did a Ninja-Nerf on this quest or it's broken.

Softly glowing powersource = Plate
Faintly glowing = chain
flickering = leather
Translucent = silk
Also these are used for the 1 group attainable molds.
The large versions are for the raid dropped molds from FC1/2 and Ashengate E/W/N.
PS's do not change based on slot the mold is for.

Since I SO hate tryin to find a /loc let me help the rest of you out... When you are facing the opening where the bank is go to the other side of the tent to the left of it and you will see 2 research suppliers and a quest guy for level 1+... Take the ramp up to the next level and Tenish is on the ramp just before you get to the 2nd floor... Hope this saves some of you the time that I spent running around...

Did turn in to Tenish for Teir 1 and can not get him to replay to /say how futher to get Teir 2. Checked to see if i had open quest from him and none there. How do i get Teir 2 Quest?

Tenish gives armor tasks for all classes. You may only have one task up at a time for tier one and one for tier 2. If you want to get a different task for another piece of tier 1 armor, then you have to leave the one you currently have.
You can get a tier 2 task and see the rewards by saying [further] to Tenish.
Tier 2 armors are the same as tier 1 but have the mods and some have effects as well.
Doing a tier 2 task requires a finished tier 1 armor piece + 1 power source- for rangers it is a Faintly Glowing Power Source.
Power Sources drop from 1 group named in the higher end TSS zones. You will need a pretty good group or a couple of lesser geared groups.
I have seen them drop in Ashengate and Valdeholm so far, and i have completed the tier 2 ranger BP
forgot name atm but it is the same stats as the Embraced Chain Coat with several mods (+atk, mana regen, some other stuff will post it later)

You have to be 71 in order to get new task
I went to him and got the plate BP quest on my warrior, but couldn't then get other armor pieces quests from him.
Do you have to have the quest before you loot the nodrop pattern pieces?
How do you get multiple quests from him? Did I just overlook the obvious?

They made it that way for a very obvious reason... all of the armour quests in TSS use the same materials... for the Kimem Saydel ones, they use Blightfire-Infused items. If you have 7 tasks that all require the same items, then just looting one of the items you need would update all 7, and turning it in would do the same.

That is incorrect. The tasks do NOT update as you loot items, and looting the items is not even part of the tasks. You can in fact, loot the molds, buy the chain links, metal, hides, swatches in the bazaar then go get the task and immediately do the turn in for your reward. The only thing that is part of the tasks is the turn ins.

I believe it was in reply to this. IE IF you could get the BP and leg quests at the same time, you'd only need 1 set of whatever covered bits to update both quests.
He was not saying you could, but saying why you can't ;-)

Find Libarian Hemfar [using Find button]. To the west of the Librarian is the ramp that leads up to Tenish.
