Missing on Agnarr Server

Sir Hobble is not spawning on the Agnarr server. I put in a bug report a year ago and have updated it several times since. Agnarr is the PoP locked server where the Firiona Vie outpost is still in it's original state. Other servers experience a war, where the golems and Dark Elves take over FV outpost, relocating the inhabitants to the other side of the zone. This has not and will not happen on the PoP locked Agnarr server. I'm guessing that Sir Hobble got lost in the code that would have moved them to the new outpost.

it seems like Sir Hobble / Squire Fuzzmin's behavior has changed over the years. i have been trying to locate these two guys for a couple of days now to turn in my dragon scales. tried speaking to the barbarian chick and the ogre in the outpost, waited 18min, 30min, an hour, nothing. did this half a dozen times. finally just decided to hang out in the outpost with track up. finally Sir Hobble popped East / NE of the outpost.

I ran out to him and Squire was already walking with him. hailed both, neither would stop. tried root and snare, but got a message that neither spells could be cast on either of them (never saw that before). so i just walked with them as I handed in the scales to Squire and voila, Wurmslayer.

i decided to follow them, they were headed straight west towards DL. as they walked west they pathed through countless drachnids and surprisingly neither Hobble, Fuzz or the spiders seemed to care that the other was there. eventually they made it to the tunnel, walk about halfway in and stopped at +95, +4667, -149

after a short pause, they turned around and went back out the way they came. again, walking through spiders, frogloks and goblins without any issue. eventually they walked far enough east and stopped at -365, -521, +33.56, just south of the drolvarg fort (kind of small to be a fort) - i think this may be where he spawned when i first saw him on track, although by the time i ran out to meet him (from outpost) he had made his way a little more west than that location.

again after a short pause they turned around and headed west to the tunnel, walked in and this time paused a little bit before halfway then turned around and back east they went. at this point i was bored and left. the point of all this is that they did not spawn anywhere near the "brown pit" up north, nor were they near the drolvargs, nor did Hobble start attacking mobs left and right.

saw him right outside the tunnel, just as 4 spiders decided to make a snack out of him, he lasted about 30 secs, just long enough for me to run up and see him die. Grrrrr, no wonder no one has the Wurmslayer ;)
Found him...

Ok, some news on Sir HObble. I can confirm that he exists, I have seen him this morning.
I went thru the talk with Lenka, then ran off tracking like a mad bas****. After some ten minutes, Sir Hobble was on track. He runs quite fast and stops at every mob he sees to fight it. In the end, he heads for the DL tunnels. When hailed, he calls for Squire Fuzzmin. The problem is that with his aggressive nature, he dies kinda fast so be quick to find him. With Hobble dead, I did not manage to find Squire. Damnit, but I am gonna try again.
------------------------
I DID try again. I talked to Lenka for maybe 10 times, and everytime ran off to track Hobble - nothing. I guess there really is some PH involved and maybe even some timer. I started to kill what aggroed me, goblins, spiders, drolvargs. Back to Lenka in a 30 minute rhythm, and suddenly I had Hobble on track again. Hailed him, ran for the city to track Squire. Squire spawned on the other side of the shores, so NOT in the city. He was moving quickly and it was impossible to give 3 scales to him. The only solution was to charm him. Did that and am now a proud owner of a Wurmslayer.
All in all, I sacrificed 4-5 hours looking for Hobble.

No luck...

Hailed Lenka with my druid with 125 tracking skill, then tried to see if Sir Hobble or his squire was on track. Nada. So I ran around the west side of the zone. Zip.

I gave up after 3 hours. Anybody got a sure way to find him?

Just wanted to let you guys know that a week ago I was running back from the DL to PoK book when I got jumped by this gentlemen. He had the squire with him and immediatly attacked me (iksar monk). He has a pretty funny line when attacking, something to the tune of "Sir Hobble begins to move towards you, his bones creak more then his armor." Just thought it may be a little reassuring to know he's still out there picking on evil races :(

I did all that was suggested for this quest. Did the hail, had trackers in zone, and nothing. I did a petition, and guide said hmm, must be broke. will pass on to gm. GM gets me later, says all working fine, and I need to explore quest more, and talk to other players. I have no idea what else to do now. BAHH!!

I am having similar difficulty in finding Sir Hobble. Myself with 100 Tracking and Selos couldn't find him. A friend of mine who can run twice as fast canvased the entire zone while I repeatedly talked to Lenka couldn't find him. Another friend who can Track half the zone at once couldn't find him.

I submitted it as a bug, but am now wondering if he's been changed to a Trigger AND a Timer?

A friend of mine who has done the quest 20+ times told me Hobble is on a 4hr timer, and has no specific spawn point. Good luck =)

I keep seeing Lenka in these posts, but not in the quest...what you have to do to her/him?
He Quit
# Jan 25 2003 at 3:20 PM Rating: Default
Sir Hobble simply just quit because he was tired of day in and day out getting killed. He simply couldn't take the day to day stress being caused by his job.
Sir Hobble?
# Jan 25 2003 at 2:09 PM Rating: Decent
I spoke to Lenka and went north and tried my tracking (125)... No Sir Hobble...
I tried this 20 times... still no Sir Hobble...
I went east 2 of the times... No Sir Hobble...
I'm beginning to believe he doesn't exist, but then again, I might just be DAMN unlucky
works fine

talked to Lenka, ran NW some, tracked, found hobble, got to him, hailed him, ran to the shore, tracked, found fuzzmin, ran to him, helped him kill two spiders that were on him, then hailed him, gave the scales, and recieved wurmslayer. piece of cake. :)

Has anyone seen Sir Hobble, or Squire Fuzzmin for that matter, recently? I have spent several days off and on trying to locate either. I have read the various posts suggesting that if you speak to Lenka, you can get Sir Hobble to spawn. If you say "show me something interesting" she will NOT acknowledge you. If you say "I want to see something interesting" she will.

I have tried both lines and still no success. I have had various Bards, Druids, and Rangers look for these two, but so far nothing still.

If anyone has recently completed the quest and can point out what I am missing or doing wrong I would appreciate it if you could post a response. I will continue to check and let you know if my luck changes.

Spawn time / location
# Jan 30 2002 at 12:06 AM Rating: Excellent
I had the pleasure of tracking Sir Hobble over about a six hour period tonight. Trigger him by saying "show me something interesting" to Lenka Stoutheart. She is located in the same building as the brew barrel.

IMMEDIATELY start tracking for Sir Hobble. Of the five or six times I triggered him, I always found him somewhere near the trail that parallels the river from FV to LIO, so focus on that area.

For some reason, he wants to try to kill every spider he sees. As said before, he can handle one or two, but when he gets swarmed by five or six, it's all over. Clearing the area of spiders before triggering him seemed to help quite a bit. You don't need to kill the spiders yourself, just pull them to the drixie's and pilgrims and let them do the work.

After hailing Sir Hobble, the squire will be along shortly. If you time your movements to match his, you should have no problems turning in the scales while on the move.

G'luck to ye!

I have not triggered him, but I do confirm that he gets owned by spiders. I frequently see him wander towards the tunnel to dreadlands/pok book and if I leave more than a few spiders up for him, then he goes down.

There is an NPC in Fironia Vie (in the the Bar/Brewery with Frothy and Lenka Stoutheart) that if hailed will get Sir Hobble to spawn... Can anybody remind me of the NPC's name?

In the Firiona Vie outpost, find Lenka Stoutheart. She is a barbarian woman in the same hut as an ogre and dwarf. Hail her. Ask her to "show me something interesting". She will begin to tell another dialogue string, but just ignore her and leave. By asking her about "something interesting" you have triggered the spawning of Sir Hobble.

Now head out into the wilderness to the east, preferably with a tracker. When you find Sir Hobble, hail him. He will say something about Squire Fizzmin. Hailing Sir Hobble spawns Squire Fizzmin in town. Keep following Sir Hobble. Squire Fizzmin will make a bee-line to wherever Sir Hobble is.

Unfortunately, Squire Fizzmin will be too busy helping and following Sir Hobble for you to be able to do much more than hail him and speak of few key phrases. Trying to give him the scales was a pain while he was running along.

Keep following them and help them kill any mobs that double-team them. They are tough and can handle most solo mobs. Once Sir Hobble and the Squire complete their "circuit" of the zone, Squire Fizzmin will break away and head back towards town. Follow him until he comes to a stop and complete the quest. For me, he came to a stop behind the big temple looking building.

I am sure some people have been able to give him scales and complete the quest while he was running around but it's much easier to just keep them alive and wait for Squire to stop.
