A Tainted Pearl just dropped off one of these. These must be fairly rare, as I have slaughtered dozens of passive splorgaths without seeing one.

zoned into ruins (prexus server) , headed to safe spot and one of these guys agroed out of nowhere. it droped Splorgath Floatation Sack which is only listed as droping in Undershore.

These seem to infest the underwater tunnels near the arena in Ruins of Illsalin.
Max Hit: 1140 on 70 warrior max defense no shielding
Triples
Kicks: 265 max
Partically slowable
Can be crippled
Flees at 20%
Didn't have very good resists it seems
Drops included Splorgath Stinger -- Splorgath Teeth -- Undamaged Splorgath Skin which was no trade
Also should have added that they do use a targeted ae with short range called Grim Breath
