Note about the Amondson brothers: Aldo buys brown, Galic buys white, Hiklo buys tan, and Wendal buys black horses. Give them the proper color bridle to sell your horse.

The hail text on Wendal Amondson says its for Black Horses only and to talk to his brothers for a horse of a different color.

This is the NPC that you turn in bridles to in order to get back your money for an unwanted horse.
You just hand him the bridle and he will give you a Bag of Platinum. You can then sell the Bag of Platinum to any store. Haven't tried to see if you can get better prices at different vendors, but that may be a good way to get more for the horse.
