EQ:Kiting
There are 2 basic types of kiteing: Aggro and charm.
Aggro: Snare a mob and pile on the dots and run to keep it at max distance, refresh dots as needed. Nuke as mana permits.
A variation of this is group kiteing. The kiter uses high-agro spells and runs around with the mob chasing the kiter, while melee's and pets chase the mob, hitting it from behind, and casters nuke.
Charm: There are 2 ways to Kite with charm: fear and aggro. With either, the first step is to debuff an animal (to make the charm last longer) and then charm it. You may also choose to buff your pet with spells such as Savage Spirit, although you need to be more cautious of the pet when charm breaks if it is buffed.
Fear kiting only works with an animal target. Snare and fear the target. Send in your pet to hit the target mob from behind as it runs away. Debuffing the target will help the pet do more damage. You may also choose to add dots or nuke as mana allows.
You can also set up just like aggro kiteing but add a charmed pet attacking the mob as it chases you. Make sure pet taunt is off.
