EQ:Classes

There are sixteen classes in EverQuest. Fourteen were included at launch, beastlords were added in Luclin, and berserkers were added in Gates of Discord. Five classes ({{eq:bard]]s, clerics, paladins, shadowknights, and warriors) wear plate armor, while three (beastlords, druids, and monks) wear leather armor, four (berserkers, rangers, rogues, and shaman) wear chain and four (enchanter, magician, necromancer, wizard) wear silk. Four classes (berserkers, warriors, rogues, and monks) are generally considered pure melee whereas three (cleric, druid, shaman) are considered to be priests/wis casters, as well as four (enchanter, wizard, magician, necromancer) int casters and five (bard, beastlord, paladin, ranger, shadowknight) hybrids.[1]

Please feel free to discuss the classes or any questions you may have in our General EverQuest Forum, as it sees considerably more traffic than our class discussion pages, you are liable to get a faster response there than in the class discussion pages. You may access the class discussion pages here.

  1. ^ This article classifies bards as hybrids, but they are perhaps better thought of independently. Their abilities and needs have diverged greatly from their hybrid roots.
