EQ:Servers  

EQ currently has 13 regular servers, and 9 special ruleset servers. Zek, Firiona Vie, Brekt, Fippy Darkpaw, Lockjaw, Phinigel, Quarm, Ragefire and Vulak'Aerr are special ruleset servers. Zek has broad PVP, Firiona is a role-playing preferred server with different rules about no drop items, and both Fippy and Vulak are progression server's.

Al'Kabor

• Al'Kabor was the Macintosh server. It was closed on Thursday, March 29, 2012. There had been no changes or updates applied to this server since 2003. It had expansions through the Planes of Power. There is still a popular, player-run forum for this server hosted at EQMac.com now points to project1999.

Quarm

• Quarm was a limited server that ended with the Omens of War expansion. Special rewards were given by beating certain events. This server was merged into Brekt in January of 2107.

1. Antonius Bayle (Kane Bayle)

• Antonius Bayle is designed for European time zone players. The player-run Antonius Bayle message boards can be found here. The server's short name, used for cross server tells, is antonius.

2. Bertoxxulous (Tholuxe Paells, Sayrn, Mithaniel Marr)

• Bertoxxulous's message boards are located here. The server's short name is bertox.

3. Brekt (Quarm server merged into this unique server)

• This server was created as another FV type server with free trade. Quarm server players were transferred to this server.

3. Bristlebane (Solusek Ro, The Tribunal, Ayonae Ro)

• Bristlebane's short name is bristle.

4. Cazic Thule (Brell Serilis, Fennin Ro, Torvonnilous)

• Cazic Thule's short name is cazic. A set of forums initially set up for Brell Serilis can be found here.

5. Drinal (Tarew Marr, Maelin Starpyre, Vazaelle)

• Drinal's message boards can be found here, and the server's short name is drinal. This server is named after Norrath's second moon, Drinal. Drinal is the moon that is visible from Norrath. The moon Luclin is only visible from the Plane of Sky.

6. Erollisi Marr (The Nameless, Morell-Thule, Innoruuk)

• Erollisi's message boards are here. An additional set of message boards originally for Morrell-Thule can be found here. The server's short name is erollisi.

7. Fippy Darkpaw

• Fippy's shortname is fippy.

8. Firiona Vie

• Special ruleset server where all loot is droppable.

9. Luclin (Veeshan, Stromm)

• Luclin's shortname is luclin. Veeshan's original forums are here.

10. Lockjaw

• Lockjaw is a voting time locked progression server. You can find their forums here.

11. Phinigel

• Phinigel's shortname is phinny. Phinigel is a progression server that only allows you to play 1 client per computer. Phinigel's forums are found here.

12. Povar (Morden Rasp, Quellious, Rodcet Nife)

• Povar's shortname is povar.

15. Ragefire

• Ragefire is a voting timelocked progression server. You can find their forums here.

16. The Rathe (Prexus. Karana, Terris Thule)

• The Rathe's shortname is rathe.

17. Trakanon

• This normal server was started later than the rest.

18. Tunare (E'ci, The Seventh Hammer, Lanys T'Vyl)

• Tunare's shortname is tunare.

19. Vox

• This server was added when Everquest went Free to Play in March 2012. It was listed as a "preferred" server because it was new and characters could not be transferred to it, therefore everyone on it would be starting fresh.

20. Vulak'Aerr

• Vulak's shortname is vulak.

21. Xegony (Zebuxoruk, Druzzil Ro, The Combine, Xev)

• Xegony's shortname is xegony. Xegony's boards are here.

22. Zek (Tallon Zek, Vallon Zek, Sullon Zek, Rallos Zek)

• The only PvP server.
