EverQuest Guide Recruitment

SOE has put out a call for new guides to the EverQuest Guide Team. From EQLive:

Guide Applications

You are walking along a dimly lit path when you see two fiery red eyes peering at you from a shadowed cave-like area. You draw your weapon and…

My mind begins to ponder the possibilities of the situation and I wonder what could be in that cave. Could it be a sworn enemy, a fabled dragon, a small rat or could it be a friend? I slowly approach the entrance to the cave, listening intently and announce my presence by unsheathing my weapon. I then demand that the creature shows himself with a mighty bellow! With my mace at the ready I toss my torch into the cave entrance so I can identify whether friend or foe.

Ever wonder what happens next? Do you want to find out? If so the Guide Program is looking for more adventurers. The Guide Program is a Team of volunteers that dedicate their time to entertain and interact with other adventures. They participate in in-game quests, events, and tomfoolery.

If this sounds interesting please feel free to check out our new FAQ and Application.

If it is asking your password it is a phishing tool!!! The real guide application is here:
http://forums.station.sony.com/station/posts/list.m?topic_id=11500043495 It specifically states they DO NOT want your password.
I agree why do they need your password?

I think its wierd that they would want your Station name and password. What do they want it for to see if you actually have 2 lvl 10+ toons please. People Beware, Sony has always said you will never be asked for you account info!!!

Okay, this reply is a bit late, but just in case anyone else is reading this.... It's perfectly legit. The only reason you are asked for your password and username is to log you into the system so you can submit the application online. It's not in the least bit questionable.

Remember this. SOE has stated in the past that NO ONE would EVER ask for your Password for any reason. I'd say it's BOGUS.

Perhaps it's to login to your Station account?

Sorry, didn't mean to get all Einstein on you.

I think it would be fun to be a guide on Eq, i spend most of my time helping new folks anyway learn how to play the game. Getting some kind of event going would be interesting and help the new folks keep an interest in Eq

What does this have to do with guilds. I think SOE could have come up with a better way to get guilds IMO. Ooo and Hiyas everyone.
