SOE All Access Membership Details

Subscription members will be converted to All Access plans in April.

Last week, SOE unveiled their membership changes:

On or about April 2nd, we will be rolling out a simple, new All Access membership plan full of value. In the new All Access plan, members will be able to:

  • Claim 500 Station Cash monthly from within the game marketplaces.
  • Receive a 10% discount on marketplace purchases.
  • Gain access to exclusive promotions and offers throughout the year.

And we’ve gone a step further…
We will be upgrading all existing individual game memberships to the new All Access plan, which will include the top-tier membership level in all eligible SOE games (EverQuest, EverQuest II, DC Universe Online PC, PlanetSide 2 PC, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, and the upcoming EverQuest Next and EQN Landmark) for one, low monthly rate of $14.99 (with extra savings for 3, 6 and 12 month plans). We’re also finalizing membership benefits to other games such as Dragon’s Prophet and will share these new updates as available.

Some players may have special subscription rates and have been concerned about losing the value of their plan. According to SOE's FAQ:

Q: I am grandfathered in under a special legacy promotional program or locked-in rate and want to make sure I don’t lose my status! How do I find out how I am affected?
A: Our goal is to honor all special rates and programs for our players. Please contact Customer Service with any special concerns you may have! https://help.soe.com/

Feedback threads are available on the EverQuest and EverQuest II forums regarding the changes.

Well, two of my accounts are Gold and two more are Silver or free to play. I wonder what will happen with my two Silver accounts. Any thoughts?

Isn't Vanguard closing pretty soon?

Why yes, it is: Vanguard: July 31, 2014

Did marketing not get the memo, or are they just fluffing out the list to make the deal look better than it really is?
Grandfathered 3-month plan, query placed 1/25/14...nada

so....my plan "rolls over" on 2/2/14 and I decided to contact SOE to see what I should expect. Imagine, if you will, that my 3-month subscription(s) end(s) on 5/2/14 making that overlap the new plans that supposedly begin on 4/2/14. What then? So far, I've received 2 email replies basically deferring my questions. No answer forthcoming as yet. Could SOE be scratching their heads about this?

I understand the language used by SOE in their latest post. The word Goal is what it is. What that mean is, no guarantees. I'm a step closer to quitting the games. Thanks a load SOE, I'm feeling like I'm SOL.

Edit/Add-On: There should be no doubt implied. SOE should have drawn up a complete statement covering ALL possibilities. This is unacceptable.

“WOW!
I have an EQ1 only account that I have paid for 2 years at a time (in the past, it has been about $200 for 2 years). At the moment I do not wish to play the other games. I don not want or need access to a dozen games I cannot/will not play.

Will this new plan alter the gold access subscriptions for those of us who only can play in one place? I'm not sure I want to pay $14.95 a month for stuff I dont want or need.

If this question has been asked and/or answered before, I apologize, but I still have not found a specific answer.
Thank you for all you do

That 2yr rate you pay you are locked into one of our "Legacy Plan," so you are covered under this part of the FAQ.

“What happens to those that took out the $100 a year for life EQ1 subscription?”
Just like the above poster you are covered under this part of the FAQ.

From every other post, it looks like you keep doing what you do except that when this new plan goes live, you have top flight sub access to the other games as well, for whatever that's worth (which isn't much to me. I'm all EQ1.)
