Quests for The Bazaar

Container Tokens (Normal): You can turn a droppable container into a token and vice versa by speaking with either Caerlyna in the Bazaar (in front of the central building) or Realnyna in Crescent Reach (-1345, -1350, -85 -- on the second floor inside the bank).

You say, 'Hail, Caerlyna'

Caerlyna says 'Greetings ______! Nice to meet you. I've started up a complimentary bag check service. Feel free to give me your weight reducing bag, and I'll give you a token in return. When you would like to get your bag back, simply return to me with your token.'

Give her a container.

Caerlyna says 'Here you go. Bring this token back to me when you would like your bag back.'

You receive a non-stacking token corresponding to the container you gave her. You may then sell the token on your bazaar trader, or exchange a purchased token for a bag. You can exchange most droppable containers for a token. A LORE container results in a LORE token, and vice versa.

Warning: If you turn in a LORE container and already have the LORE token in your inventory, you will not receive a second LORE token and will lose your container. It works in the other direction as well: turn in a LORE token when you already have the LORE container in inventory and you will lose the token. Reward: Rallic Pack Token

Depths of Darkhollow Item Exchange (Incomplete): Archaeologist Flottwit may be found at +45, -5.

From the Dec. 7, 2005 patch message:

Archaeologist Flottwit has uncovered a cache of older Darkhollow items and is currently searching the bazaar for some of the newer items for comparison. If you have a Depths of Darkhollow item that changed from tradeable to no trade with the last patch and you'd prefer to have the old tradeable item instead, give the no trade version to Flottwit and he'll give you the old tradeable item in return. Flottwit will only be around until the next patch.

You say, 'Hail, Archaeologist Flottwit'

Archaeologist Flottwit says 'Good day to you ______. As much as I'd love to chat, I'm a bit busy trying to find samples of some of the [items] that have recently come out of Darkhollow.'

You say, 'What items?'

Archaeologist Flottwit says 'I unearthed a large cache of artifacts from deep within Darkhollow and found that they look suprisingly similar to some of the newer items that adventurers have been uncovering. I'm trying to locate a few samples of these new items for comparison. If you have one and are willing to part with it, just hand it to me. I have a large number of the artifacts I found so I'll give you one of those in return.'

Handing in item XXX nets you Archaic XXX, with a possible degradation in quality:

Archaeologist Flottwit says 'Ahh, yes this is one of them! The similarity is absolutely striking. Thank you, ______. I'll hold onto this for further study. Please, take this in return. I believe it's a predecessor to the item you gave me.'

If you try to hand in an item he won't accept, you'll see:

Archaeologist Flottwit says 'Hrm, no, this doesn't look anything like the artifacts I uncovered. You can have it back.'

Hand in a TEMPORARY Grandmaster's Satchel, summoned by a tradeskill grandmaster's trophy (one of the upgraded/newer ones that summon bags) to receive an Artisan Essence. Combine this by itself in the appropriate tradeskill container to get two corresponding containers, one a normal bag (XXX Carry-All) and one a bag for tradeskill components (XXX Component Bag). In the crate, combine four Small Bricks of Unrefined Ore (dropped by gnolls and goblins in various zones across all levels) to create a Small Shipment of High Quality Ore. Turn this in to Gliblixl Rocktok.

Gliblixl Rocktok says 'Thank you! I will prepare the ore for sale and be open for business again momentarily. Here is your payment for your services.'

The Automated Barding Oscillator (Normal): If you purchased the boxed set of Prophecy of Ro, you have an Ornate Barding available if you type "/claim #," where # is the particular number corresponding to the Prophecy of Ro reward claimable on your account. This summons a very slow (but free!) horse. If you would like to upgrade it to the speed of your other horse, find Stable Ward Kyle in The Bazaar and do the following:

You say, 'What bind?'

Stable Ward Kyle says 'It's this blasted Automated Barding Oscillator! The dang thing just came in from Ak`Anon. It's designed to take the barding on and off of horses in only a few seconds. It works really well. In fact, too well. It's going to drive us Stable Wards out of a job. Isn't that a [shame] ______?'

Stable Ward Kyle says 'You said it, my friend! It's a crying shame! In fact, I'm going to cry my eyes out for the next thirty seconds. Use your tradeskill trophy to summon a TEMPORARY XXX artisan satchel, where "XXX" is one of Beginner, Apprentice, Freshman, Journeyman, Expert, Master. Give the satchel to Jolum.

Jolum says 'Take this essence and put it in the appropriate container, and it will change into a new bag. Do this before your trophy evolves because this essence is delicate and will only respond if you own the appropriate trophy.'

You receive a corresponding XXX Artisan Essence. Place the essence in an appropriate container for your particular tradeskill and hit combine. You will craft a permanent XXX YYY Carry-All, where "YYY" is the tradeskill, e.g.:

The essence flickers brightly and coalesces into a bag.

You have fashioned the items together to create something new: Master Baker Carry-All.

Jolum says 'To upgrade your Grandmaster Baker's Spoon, simply combine your old spoon in an oven with a mixing spoon and you should get a new Grandmaster Baker's Spoon in return.'

Note: The old Grandmaster Baker's Spoon appears to have been written over by SOE with another item, so this portion may no longer work. Please confirm that it still works with a Dairy Spoon and provide the new dialogue, if any.

You say, 'What Grandmaster Brewer's Corker?'

Jolum says 'For a new and improved Grandmaster Brewer's Corker combine your old Brewer's Corker with a corking device and, voila! You have a new Grandmaster Brewer's Corker.'

You say, 'What Grandmaster Fletcher's Knife?'

Jolum says 'Ahh, a fletcher are you? Well in your fletching kit combine your Grandmaster Fletcher's Knife with a Fishbone Dart tool and you will have made yourself a new Grandmaster Fletcher's Knife.'

You say, 'What Grandmaster Jeweler's Eyeglass?'
