Shazda Kaekwon says 'Shalom, _____! I welcome you to our humble village in these [trying times].

You say, 'What trying times?'

Shazda Kaekwon says 'There are many threats currently facing this village. The kobolds of Clan Kolbok are becoming bolder in pushing the boundaries of the territory in which they usually hunt. A few of the kobolds now hunt recklessly, killing for pleasure instead of sustenance. [Rognarog] the Infuriated is the most murderous of such kobolds. Then there are the [heretics] that have been invading both Clan Kolbok and Kejek territories alike, practicing their dark sorceries as a show of devotion to their faceless god.

You say, 'What about the Heretics?'

Shazda Kaekwon says 'The heretics have not only corrupted their own spirits but they defile the spirits of the dead with their evil sorceries. Fill this satchel with the heads of invading heretics and I shall reward you for your allegiance to Kejek.

Receive Burlap Satchel. Inside it, combine four Heretic Heads (any combination of male and female heads works). Then hand in the Satchel of Heretic Heads.

Luggald Studies (Dark Caster Spells) (Normal): Cedric Trallus may be found in the Stonebrunt Mountains in the tents east of the zoneline to Gulf of Gunthak at -4445, -3400.

You say, 'Hail, Cedric Trallus'

Cedric Trallus says 'Hello ______, chancing a journey to Brokenskull are you? Many have ventured there, but few have returned. I was favored by the will of Thule to return here in one piece, although I would not call my [journey] exactly successful.'

You say, 'What journey?'

Cedric Trallus says 'Our spies in Erudin were able to learn that a voyage of Deepwater knights was setting sail in search of Brokenskull Island. Our priests in Paineel had received several visions from the lord Cazic telling of great powers that might be found on this island. Our group was instructed to follow their ship across the waters and explore the island should we find it. Find it they did, and more then they ever bargained for on that [cursed isle].'

You say, 'What cursed isle?'

Cedric Trallus says 'Just as the Deepwater knights were about to drop anchor near a small cove on the island, we attacked them. The magic cloaks we had placed over our ship did their job all too well. We took them by surprise and our forces easily overpowered them, but our battle was joined by a [third force].'

You say, 'What third force?'

Cedric Trallus says 'A group of strange creatures crawled up the side of the boats and began to attack everyone on both sides. They cut through many of us before we were able to retreat our forces back to our ship and turn our sails away from the island. Several of the creatures pursued us through the water with amazing speed. We fought them off and we forced them back into the sea. We were able to slay one of them, or so we thought. We brought the [body] back to Paineel for the priests to study.'

You say, 'What body?'

Cedric Trallus says 'When we docked here in Paineel we were carrying the body off of the ship when suddenly the creature came to life. It threw several of our knights into the water and then jumped in himself and swam off into the ocean. We suspect that it used some form of magic to fool us into believing it was actually dead. The necromancers of Paineel are not easily fooled in matters of life and death. We greatly desire to study the [organs] of these creatures to learn the secret of this new magic.'

You say, 'What organs?'

Cedric Trallus says 'Bring me two samples of these creatures internal organs for our priests to study and we may share the secret of their magic with you. Something tells me you won't come back alive though.'

Hand him 2 x Luggald Organs (not parts, which are a different item for a different quest). You can get these in Dulak. After zoning in from Gunthak, to the left is a "wooden wall" or ship. This hides a secret entrance into some tunnels. In these tunnels is a 3-way bridge, and this is where the organs dropped.

Necromancers receive the spell "Auspice." Shadowknights receive the spell "Blood of Pain."

You gain experience!!

Cedric Trallus takes the organs from you and lays them down on the ground before him. He begins to slice and separate the organs from one another with a wicked looking dagger. Dark blue blood stains his robe as he probes the strange flesh. Finally after several minutes he smiles and pulls a parchment from a bag at this side and begins to draw several runes using the dark blue blood. 'Take this, I have discovered the secret of their magic, or so I believe. Of course it might not work and you'll end up actually dead, but we'll never know till you try will we?'

As you take the scroll from him you notice a sickly burning odor in the air. You glance down at Cedric's robes and notice several holes beginning to form where the blood touches his [robes].

You say, 'What is happening to your robes?'

Cedric Trallus glances at the burns in his robes inquisitively. 'It seems an aspect of the luggald's system is acidic in nature. Perhaps we have yet to find the secret of their comatose state. I'll need more samples to continue my research. This time bring me purified samples of their bile, blood, and saliva and I will study them.'

These are random drops off various luggalds. Handing in the three items:

Cedric Trallus takes the vials and holds them out in front of him. He begins to recite an incantation and the vials rise and float in the air in front of him. He ontinues to chant as each of the vials begins to glow and then grow dim in turn. Cedric picks up a large potion bottle and places a rolled piece of parchment inside. He then holds it before him causing it to float in the air as well. Each of the first three vials floats over the potion bottle and a distinct amount of each liquid is poured in, causing it to bubble and shake. Cedric reaches out before him and takes the bottle from the air and hands it to you.

You receive a Glowing dark blue potion.

Cedric Trallus says 'Fear is a weapon to be used against your enemies, ______, but we can not afford to let it cloud our judgment as well. Drink the potion and new power will energize your being.'

The potion has the effect Luggald Blood, which causes 300 hps of damage and summons a copy of Spell: Comatose. Reward: Spell: Auspice

Miranda says 'Khonza Ayssla went away one time and came back with chocolate covered cherries and pixie powder cinnesticks for my sister and I. I like the chocolates the best.'

Miranda would like some chocolate covered cherries, which are made from three marr cherries and one winter chocolate (126 trivial baking).

You say, 'What dice?'

Miranda says 'I had my dice in a little bag and lost it outside the walls of the village. I think the kobolds must have found it.'

he attempted to cleanse the land of them. It wants nothing more than to destroy who killed him, but it cannot in this [form].

You say, 'What form?'

a spirit flares brightly again as it explains there isn't enough time for it to explain. It then begins to whisper again, telling you that it commands you the aid it in it's revenge. You make out, through the barely audible whispering, that if you do help it, you will be rewarded.

You say, 'I will help you get revenge'

In an earlier campaign, he lost a very powerful weapon. That weapon would enable him to take on a form likened to his former self. If you return this weapon to the spirit, and then help him to defeat his enemy, the reward will be yours.

You say, 'What earlier campaign?'

a spirit seems hesitant to go into details and reacts harshly when asked further. He does say that he went to enlist an army of lesser beings to do it's bidding, but they refused. The spirit scoffs and says they believed the lord they shared favored them more than it. It goes on, explaining their utter foolishness and eventual demise in great detail.

a spirit says 'Yes, the lance!' and begins to glow as it draws power from the lance, which now floats in mid air next to the spirit. The form of the spirit expands and takes on a humanoid shape. The air itself then seems to condense about the spirit as bits of matter appear within the glowing form. The bits soon take the shape of bones and ropes of muscle. Within minutes, an emaciated Erudite male stands before you. Despite his frail appearance, he stands upright and strong, a fierce red light burning in his eyes.

The ghost will despawn in roughly one minute so move quickly.

Give Ghost of Ridossan the Idol of Fear.

Spirit Aid (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Saemey Wirewhisker'

Saemey Wirewhisker says 'Welcome to Kejek friend. I am the seer of this village for I have been gifted by the spirits with an affinity for their realm. The barrier between the spirit and physical realms is thin in these lands. The heretics know this and must be prevented from committing [atrocities] similar to those that have been committed in the past.

You say, 'What sort of atrocities?'

Saemey Wirewhisker says 'Long ago when our noble ancestors the Vah Shir were destroyed by an explosion that devastated the warring Heretic and Erudin armies an evil creature by the name of Tserrina Syl'Tor was attracted to the sudden abundance of new spirits in these lands. Tserrina was capable of capturing these spirits before they were able to cross over beyond the mortal realm and through her dark magic transformed them into a [crystalline shadow] substance.

You say, 'What crystalline shadow substance?'

Saemey Wirewhisker says 'The crystalline shadow substance was used as building blocks for Tserrina's tower on an Island near the frozen lands to the south as well as fashioned into armor and weapons for her mindless servants. Emylie Steelclaws has developed a means to purify the armor and weapons using the special properties of our Kejek forge and a smithy hammer blessed by the Titan Spirits. The purifying process transfers the imprisoned spirits into [soul orbs]. Ask Emylie about the purification process.

You say, 'What are soul orbs?'

Saemey Wirewhisker says 'I have perfected a ritual that will free the imprisoned spirits within the soul orbs. I simply require some kejek [spirit powder] to scrawl the proper sigils and a soul orb upon which to perform the ceremony. My apprentice will perform the ceremony on fading soul orbs. Simply bring him a fading soul orb and some kejek spirit powder.

You say, 'What is kejek spirit powder?'

Saemey Wirewhisker says 'The spirit power of which I speak is composed of ground spiritling stones. I will grind some powder for you if you would bring me a Valley Spiritling Stone, a Jungle Spiritling Stone, and a Mountain Spiritling Stone. Collecting the stones does not truly harm the spiritlings for when slain in this realm their essence simply disperses until it eventually reforms into a new spiritling.

Approach Emylie in the same fort.

You say, 'Hail, Emylie Steelclaws'

Emylie Steelclaws says 'Shalom friend. My mate Kalaaro is the primary blacksmith of our village. I mostly create his tools, do touch ups and refurbishes, and maintain the [kejek forge].

You say, 'What kejek forge?'

Emylie Steelclaws says 'Our forge has received the blessings of the Titan Spirits to burn with a supernatural flame! This flame has many beneficial properties but most importantly it can aid in freeing the spirits that have been imprisoned in materials by evil sorcerers.

You say, 'What about the purification process?'

Emylie Steelclaws says 'The crystalline shadow must be purified in the kejek forge using a special hammer blessed by the Titan Spirits. I will craft a hammer for you to take to the Titans for their blessings if you bring me a Large Brick of High Quality Ore and an Oak Shaft. Once the hammer is blessed you may use it in the kejek forge to purify the crystalline shadow and transfer the spirits contained within it to a Soul Orb that must be taken to our village seer.

Give Emylie a Large Brick of High Quality Ore and an Oak Shaft.

Emylie Steelclaws takes the supplies and begins to work on the hammer. She works swiftly and efficiently then cools the finished hammer and hands it to you.

Yuio's Illness (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Jali Kaliio'

Jali Kaliio says 'Greetings outsider. I trust you have [peaceful intentions] while visiting our village?

You say, 'I have peaceful intentions.'

Jali Kaliio says 'That is good to hear. Those filthy kobolds have caused enough trouble. We do not need more enemies.' Jali turns around and glances at another Kejekan. This one seems somewhat ill. Her fur is coming out in patches and strange sores cover her body. 'That is my wife, Yuio. She has come down with a sickness, no doubt caused by those accursed kobolds.' Anger wracks Jali's face as he speaks. 'I would ask you for [help] but you are a stranger and owe us nothing. Of course if you did assist me, I would be forever grateful.'

You say, 'I would like to help.'

Jali Kaliio says 'Oh thank you. You are most kind. I fear that there is not much time left for my dear Yuio. Please speak to [Khonza Ayssla]. She is most wise and perhaps can find some cure for this affliction.

You say, 'Who is Khonza Ayssla?'

Jali Kaliio says 'Khonza Ayssla is the village's High Shaman. She teaches the ancient ways of Okanjo and is most wise. If she cannot assist you I do not know who can. I would go myself but I am too worried to leave my dear wife behind. When you find Khonza, tell her that Jali sent you. Please hurry, friend!

Go to Khonza and tell her, 'Jali sent me.'

Khonza Ayssla says 'Ah yes Jali, whose wife is ill. I have been looking for a cure for many moons. I do believe I can make one now if I had the proper ingredients. Unfortunately it will require the deaths of some of our lands creatures but the spirits will not be angered as it is for a noble cause. Perhaps you could [fetch them] for me?

You say, 'I will fetch them for you.'

Khonza Ayssla says 'Take this satchel and please listen closely. I need the following and they need to be relatively fresh. So dont waste time with frivolous strolls through the jungle. I require two Panda Claws, two Tiger Skins, two Asp Poison Sacs, a Bamboo Shoot, and a Kejekan Palm Fruit, which you will need to find somewhere in the jungle. Once you have these items, combine them in the bag and return to me.'

Panda Claws can be found from pandas in Stonebrunt.
Tiger Skins drop from Kejek Tigers.
The best place to get Asp Poison Sacks is in Oasis of Marr.
The fruit and bamboo are foraged in Stonebrunt.

When you return the bag to Khonza, Khonza Ayssla says 'I thought the kobolds would have you for dinner, but you made it back.' Ayssla takes the satchel and begins to pour different vials of foul smelling liquid into it. She then takes the entire contents of the bag and dumps it into a large kettle and begins to chant in an unknown language. After a few minutes, she takes a small amount of the now boiling liquid and puts it in a vial. 'Take this vial back to Jali. I pray to the Titan Spirits that it works.'
