Quests for Plane of Tranquility

Adler's Request - Crypt of Decay flag (Normal): This is a raid level quest for entry to the Crypt of Decay (Ruins of Lxanvom).

You say, 'Hail, Adler Fuirstel'

Adler Fuirstel tells you, 'Can you smell it? It is the musk of death and pestilence. It is a smell that I have welcomed for so long, but now it turns my stomach. My brother Milyk and I have come here from Qeynos. We were members of the Bloodsabers but sought higher enlightenment. Upon arriving here Milyk began to channel all of his energy into opening the portal to the Plane of Disease.'

You say, 'What portal to the Plane of Disease?'

Adler Fuirstel tells you, 'We sought only the wisdom of Bertoxxulous. When Milyk finished his chant and the portal opened, it began to spew out this vile pestilence you see before you. Milyk caught the brunt of the plague, and his condition worsens. I have been infected as well, and am weak but I will go into the plane to save my brother if I must. The weavers have seen in their tapestries that one holds a ward that will halt the effects of the toxins that the touch of Bertoxxulous brings.'

You say, 'What ward?'

Adler Fuirstel tells you, 'The ward is carried by the one that Bertoxxulous has created to protect the entrance into his den. If you dare travel into this pungent plane and find the ward bring it back. If we can halt the advanced toxins in Milyk's system maybe we can save him.'

You have received a character flag!

Visiting Seer Mal Nae`Shi in the Plane of Knowledge, the character flag identifies as follows: "Adler Fuirstel wishes you to obtain the Ward from the Plane of Disease and take it to his ill brother Milyk."

Inside the castle in the Plane of Disease, you will need to kill Gryme the Crypt Guardian to receive a key to the Crypt he guards. He is relatively easy and can be dropped with two groups.

The passageway is guarded by Aramin the Spider Guardian, who is a little harder than Gryme. Aramin also drops loot.

In the bottom of the Castle is Grummus. He hits for about 1100, and has two very nasty Area Effect attacks.

Ensure that your raid is set up as a raid through /raidwindow, and kill Grummus. Doing so will spawn "A Planar Projection" which the people in the raid may then hail to receive another character flag.

You say, 'Hail, A Planar Projection'

You recognize the sound of the voice echoing in your mind to be Milyk Fuirstel's. He tells you before fading, 'I beg of you, return to me with the ward that now envelops your body. This etheric energy is the only thing that can stop this plague that has been placed upon me.'
You have received a character flag!

Visiting Seer Mal Nae`Shi in the Plane of Knowledge, the character flag identifies as follows: "Grummus has been destroyed, about his corpse you found a small ward to protect from disease."

You say, 'Hail, Adler Fuirstel'

Adler Fuirstel tells you, 'Please you must hurry! Take the ward that surrounds you back to my brother and lift the sickness that has come over him!'

You say, 'Hail, Elder Fuirstel'

Elder Fuirstel slowly turns towards you. You can feel the heat radiating from his face. The warding that envelopes your body reaches out and begins to surround him. You immediately see improvement in his condition. The pus filled sores covering his face and his burning fever start to vanish. 'Thank you friend. I no longer feel the touch of death on my soul. However I do feel the grasp on Bertoxxulous, his plague is still upon me but not spreading throughout my body. I fear the only way to remove this pox would be to weaken Bertoxxulous enough that his curse would be lifted. I now renounce my faith in Bertoxxulous, please fell this god so that I may continue and learn from my mistakes.'
You have received a character flag!

Visiting Seer Mal Nae`Shi in the Plane of Knowledge, the character flag identifies as follows: "Now that Grummus has been destroyed, the entrance to the Crypt of Bertoxxulous should open before your might."

You say, 'Hail, Adler Fuirstel'

Adler Fuirstel tells you, 'Did you learn how to get into Bertoxxulous' lair when you retrieved the ward? In my brother's vision he spoke of a huge metal pipe, that would only be affected by one that carries the knowledge of what lies behind it. Go now into disease and move the rotted pipe that is behind Grummus. There you will find the Lord of Pestilence. I beg of you for the mercy of my brother, and myself, weaken Bertoxxulous to a point where his curse on us can be lifted.'
Alternate Access: Plane of Torment (Normal): Note: You can zone into Plane of Torment for experience only at level 55. This quest lets you get in for experience only before that.

You say, 'Hail, Iramai Sacredsoul'

Iramai Sacredsoul says 'Oh, hello. I am sorry, I did not see you approach. I have been giving all of my attention to poor [Phanti] here.'

You say, 'What is wrong with Phanti?

Iramai Sacredsoul says 'A few days ago Phanti started to get very ill, while she was preparing herself for another trip into [Saryrn's domain]. We are not sure exactly was caused her to fall into this malaise, although we do have our [suspicions].'

You say, 'what about Saryrn's domain?'

Iramai Sacredsoul says 'Torment, the Plane of Pain. She was doing some research on the denizens there, should you [help] us, I could grant you and your companions entry. The key will not do Phanti any good for quite some time.'

You say, 'i will help you' (or `what suspicions?')

Iramai Sacredsoul says 'Recently, the portal from the Plane of Disease has been unusually active. People have been reporting strange sounds from around the portal at night, and a few of our trackers have seen strange, almost rodent like, footprints. Our best guess is that one of the denizens of the Plane of Disease managed to make its way into our plane. If this is true, it may explain the unnaturally quick manifestation of the disease. Perhaps, the bile from one of the rodents will help us learn of the cause, and hopefully a cure.'

The Bubonian Bile you need drops off of a named rodent in the caves in Plane of Disease named Rythrak. He does not drop it every time. He is located in the spider/rat cave. Enter the cave, at the first big room hook a left, and he's the first rat spawn on the left as you exit the small tunnel.

It can also drop off Resnak. He has a PH of another a bubonian relak in the tunnel just south of the room Rythrak spawns.

Loot the bile and turn it into Iramai Sacredsoul in the Plane of Tranquility.

Iramai Sacredsoul pours the bile into a small flask, there is a puff of green smoke, which turns white as it floats into the sky. 'This is good news. It appears that this is the cause for her disease, but I have neither the tools, nor the knowledge to create a cure. There is rumor of an indigo orc who may prove useful to us in this area, but he is imprisoned in the Plane of Justice. Ask him about rare diseases. He was known to have cured many, prior to his imprisonment.'

You receive Purified Bubonian Bile from her.

The indigo orc she speaks of is named Brugga, and is indeed imprisoned in the Plane of Justice at /way -710,-110. You need amiable or higher faction standing with Creatures of Justice, and must speak to him with a high proficiency (possibly 100%) in Orcish.

You say, 'Hail, Brugga'

Brugga says, in Orcish, 'Ragh!' His eyes you with pure hatred. 'Indigo, my dark bowels. . . treachery it is, treachery against the clan. Gharol paid! Paid for it!' He shows you his hands and grins maliciously. 'Paid, he did!'

You say, 'What rare disease?'

Brugga snorts. 'You have someone that needs killing, or someone that needs saving? It not matter to Brugga, but you smell of a hero, so Brugga think there someone need saving. Well Brugga have time, so you give Brugga the disease and Brugga see.'

Give him the Purified Bubonian Bile.

Brugga dips his finger into the flask and tastes the liquid, 'Hmm, someone start work on this already and it still vile. This nothing that Brugga have trouble to cure, we just need stronger toxins to drive this one back. Brugga need a gnome made crawlerpoison, a venom sack from the Terror Matriarch, and the stinger from a Nettling Wraith, Brugga make you a cure.'

The "gnomemade crawlerpoison" is Mechanical Clockwork Venom, which drops from the mechanical spiders in the Plane of Innovation. The venom sack drops off of the Terror Matriarch at the spider camp (spawns in between the two consorts) in the Plane of Nightmare. She is a 3-day spawn, hits in the mid 600's, unslowable, spawns a baby spider about every 30 seconds, or at 66% and 33% life. The stinger from a Nettling Wraith is a fairly common drop in the Plane of Nightmare off of Nettling Wraiths. Give all three to Brugga.

Brugga says, in Orcish, 'Yes, Brugga work with this.' Brugga chants and makes strange gestures while mixing the objects in his mortar and pestle. 'Ok, Brugga finished now. You have your cure, give cure with the bile and that will heal. You go now, Brugga done talking.'

You receive a Vial of Opaque Fluid. Return to the Plane of Tranquility and give Iramai the two vials, bile and opaque fluid.

Iramai Sacredsoul says 'Hmm, it looks like I will need both the cure and the purified bile in order to heal Phanti.'

Symbol of Torment has been added to your key ring.

Your group has had keys added to their keyrings!

Iramai Sacredsoul says 'You've done it! Praise the Tranquil! I can already see Phanti's condition improving. Take these, Phanti is not going to be doing any planar exploration any time soon. She was planning on using them to bring her research party into Torment, make good use of them, and stay safe. Thank you again for your help.'

You gain party experience!!

Phanti Sacredsoul stops sweating and a little color returns to her cheeks as Iramai pours the liquid into her mouth.

You get an entry on your /keyring that says, "Phanti's medallion allows passage into Torment, the Plane of Pain." Reward: Symbol of Torment

Alternate Access: Tower of Solusek Ro (Normal): This quest is unlocked on Progression servers when Omens of War becomes available.

Find Ronar Flametip in the Plane of Tranquility - Location +254.67, -2119.95, -927.41 (in the building to the Plane of Fire).

You say, 'Hail, Ronar Flametip'

Ronar Flametip says 'Ronar says, 'Greetings travelers! Though the blessing Karana bestowed upon me seems to be waning, I was at least able to portend your arrival here and the role you would play in the [events] I shall soon inform you of.'

You say, 'What events?'

Ronar Flametip says 'My gift normally allows me to peer into other realms. I have used it many times to protect Norrath from dangerous outside forces. Now, however, I have lost the ability to peer into the planes under the domain of Fennin Ro. I suspect that his son, Solusek, may play a hand in these events, although I know not how. I fear that he has managed to somehow [move the portal] into the Plane of Fire for reasons that are not completely clear to me.'

You say, 'Move the portal?'

Ronar Flametip says 'Yes, and by doing so he has blocked my sight and access into the plane itself. Yet before I completely lost the ability to see into his realm, I glimpsed a giant stream of mystical fire coming from his tower and shooting upwards into the sky. Once the clouds had parted, another more sinister torrent of magic returned from the sky back to his tower. I believe that Solusek may have an accomplice for whatever he has planned. Though I much prefer subtlety, I fear the time for that has passed. No, you must simply stop Solusek from completing his plans and you must discover who his accomplice is lest he manages to continue their vile plans. Will you [fulfill the call of destiny]?'

You say, 'I will fulfill the call of destiny'

Ronar Flametip says 'Before you can gain access to Solusek's tower, you will need an enchantment to protect you from the searing heat that is contained within its walls. On my own I do not have the ability to grant such protection but I can still aid thee nonetheless. In the frigid landscapes of the Western Wastes there is a particularly powerful [efreeti] that wanders a path that only the mad would follow.'

You say, 'What efreeti?'

Ronar Flametip says 'Banished by his own kind for cruelty not even they could tolerate, he roams the wasteland forever searching for the entrance back to his home, an entrance forever denied to him. You must destroy this abomination and bring me the fiery heart that burns inside of him. Only then will you be able to survive the blistering environment in Solusek Ro's tower. Once inside though, you will need to gain access to his inner sanctum by getting his sanctum key. I know little of this but always be on the lookout for help for you never know when the gods may choose to aid you. Once you have destroyed Solusek, return to me with any information you find.'

Find and kill the Banished Efreeti in the Western Wastes. He spawns on the western coast and wanders the zone. He is a curiously simple mob: Max hit 651, average 385; fully slowable, rootable, snareable, doesn't summon). Loot the Banished Efreeti Heart and give it to Ronar.

Ronar Flametip says 'Very good _____. With this I can create an enchantment powerful enough to protect you from the searing heat within Solusek's Tower.' Ronar plunges the heart into the nearby pool of water and begins to chant in a low monotonous tone. The water around his claw begins to boil and swirl faster and faster as his chanting grows louder till he finally pulls out his now-empty claw. He gently touches your forehead and though you hear your flesh sizzle as he inscribes a rune upon it, you feel nothing. 'Now you may freely enter Solusek's Tower and complete your task.'

You now have access to the Tower of Solusek Ro.
Alternate PoP Flag: Bypass Grummus (Normal):
  • Find Veriok Dreik in the sick bay of the Plane of Tranquility.

  • In order to do this quest, you must have your Saryrn, Keeper of Sorrows, Terris Thule, and Hedge, flags.

    You say, 'Hail, Veriok Dreik'

Veriok Dreik says 'Excellent work _____, but there is no time to waste. [Mylik] needs our help.'

You say, 'I will help Mylik'

Veriok Dreik says 'Excellent! Let me tell you about Mylik. Much like Thelin, Mylik was a strong brave man too. Mylik stood in these lands and focused his energy and mana and opened the portal to the Plane of Disease. Bertoxxulous set a curse on those who dared open a portal to his plane and he defiled Mylik's soul with a potent toxin that has left him lying there slowly decaying away. Do you [understand] the amount of death that Bertoxxulous can spread over Norrath?'

    You say, 'I understand'

Veriok Dreik says 'Ok then pay attention _____. I have already sent in an old friend of mine to handle what needs to be done inside the Plane of Disease. What he doesn't know is that Bertoxxulous is aware that he has breached the portal and is planning on sending four guardians to eliminate him. Enter the Crypt of Decay and destroy the guardians. Bring me back proof of their death and I'll give you further instructions. Hurry _____, this task is vital to saving Milyk.'

  • Head to the Crypt of Decay and retrieve four "Orders of Bertoxxulous" from various mobs. Then return them to Veriok as proof of your work.

Orders from Bertoxxulous Pg. 1 - Banord Paffa
Orders from Bertoxxulous pg. 2 - Warlord Abouu
Orders from Bertoxxulous pg. 3 - Jerill the Enraged
Orders from Bertoxxulous pg. 4 - Assassin Kakoo

    Hand them in to Veriok.

  • Your Reward: Grummus Flag, which counts toward your planar progression progress.

Veriok Dreik says 'Great work _______. Now head into the Plane of Disease and find a dark elf that goes by the name of Odaen. The last I heard he was closing in on completing his task. Assist him in anything he needs.'

Alternate PoP Flag: Bypass Hedge & Terris Thule (Normal): Find Veriok Dreik in the sick bay of the Plane of Tranquility.

You must have the Saryrn flag in order to complete this quest.

    You say, 'Hail, Veriok Dreik'

Veriok Dreik says 'Excellent work _____, I hear great things of you from Odaen. I have more work for you if you wish to help. Do you [believe] that we can help another suffering soul?'

    You say, 'I believe'

Veriok Dreik says 'We will see how much you believe in my powers and your abilities. This man Thelin over here is lost in a world of Nightmares. Thelin was once a great man who opened a portal to the Plane of Nightmare is now a weak man trapped inside his own [nightmares].'

    You say, 'What nightmares?'

Veriok Dreik says 'Thelin had used all of his energy to open the portal to the Plane of Nightmare. He went home that day and fell asleep clutching a [jeweled dagger] that was once given to him. While sleeping, he had this terrible nightmare and he started to toss and turn from the vision that was sent to him. He tossed and turned so much that he landed on the dagger and critically injured himself. The elders found him in time and were able to save him but he has slipped into a coma and is in an endless world of nightmares.'

    You say, 'What jeweled dagger?'

Veriok Dreik says 'Ah yes the jeweled dagger. It was precious to him and he always kept it by his side. I believe that retrieving the dagger is the key to saving him. I have a scout inside the Plane of Nightmare trying to recover it for me. Terris Thule has broken it into many pieces and scattered it inside a maze so Thelin couldn't use it to escape his nightmares. Our scout has been gone for awhile now and I'm getting worried. Can you [find her] and assist her in bringing the jeweled dagger back to me?'

You say, 'I will find her'

Veriok Dreik says 'Excellent her name is Kelletia. She is one of our best scouts.'

Kellitia is on the ledge at the very end of the PoN caves, past the Vhaksiz the Shade, right before you drop off and back to the base level of the Plane of Nightmares.

    You say, 'Hail, Kelletia'

Kelletia says 'Shhh _____, [they] can hear and see every move that you make.'

    You say, 'They?'

Kelletia says 'Terris Thule and her henchman are after me. I thought I had completed my [work] without being noticed but something went wrong.'

    You say, 'What work?'

Kelletia says 'I came here to find the pieces of the dagger for Variok. Terris did a good job at scattering them across her maze but I was able to sneak around and find each of them without being noticed. I crafted the dagger back together and I made my escape out of the maze to here. I was going to take a night's rest then leave this plane and return the dagger to Variok but that's when the [nightmares] started.'

    You say, 'What nightmares?'

Kelletia says 'I fell asleep here that night and in my dreams I saw Terris Thule ordering her henchman to kill me at all costs because I have the dagger in my possession. I try and fight the urge to sleep but eventually I find myself running from them, fighting to stay alive. My only hope of surviving is to assassinate her henchman before he assassinates me. I have scouted the area and I know my point of attack but with the many sleepless nights I don't think I have the power to assassinate him myself. Do you think you [can help] me?'

    You say, 'I can help'

Kelletia says 'Ok every night he appears just south east of the maze. He has two guardsmen with him when he is around. If he were alone I could assassinate him but his two guards pose a problem for me. Kill him and bring his heart back to me.'

The Tyrant of Nightmare spawns between the two Forboding Guardians at the entrance to the Lair of Terris Thule. He is slowable, hits for a max of 1700. He mostly doubles, occasionally triples. He has about 100,000 hitpoints and enrages. Bring its heart to Kelletia.

Kelletia says 'You made fast work of him. I need to clean this dagger before returning it to Variok. With Terris and her henchman chasing me I couldn't collect the pieces that I needed. Could you collect [three items] for me?'
    You gain experience!!

    You say, 'What three items?'

Kelletia says 'I need a secured wooden case and two pieces of silky cloth. If you can bring them back to me I'll be able to return this to Veriok.'

The Secured Wooden Case drops from the Terror Matriarch. Silky Cloths drop from her offspring that spawn near her. Return these items to Kelletia.

Kelletia says 'Perfect I can clean this dagger up and return it to Veriok. You were a great help to me. I'll be sure to report that to Veriok when I get back.'
    You gain experience!!

Return to the Plane of Tranquility:

    You say, 'Hail, Veriok Dreik'

Veriok Dreik says '_____ we have done it! I heard all about your adventures into the Plane of Nightmare from Kelletia. Do you believe it? I always believed that you believed that we could do it and look we have done it! Our work here is done friend.'
Alternate PoP Flag: Bypass Keeper of Sorrows (Normal): Find Veriok Dreik in the sick bay of the Plane of Tranquility.

You must have the Saryrn flag in order to complete this quest.

    You say, 'Hail, Veriok Dreik'

Veriok Dreik says 'Greetings fellow adventurer, I can see that you're interested in curing the [illness] that seeps through Norrath.'

    You say, 'What illness?'

Veriok Dreik says '_____, look at these people. Their minds are being tormented, they are diseased and their souls are decaying more and more each day. You only see four in front of you but tomorrow it might be eight and the day after it could be hundreds. Who knows, it might even be [you] on your sick bed.'

    You say, 'Me?'

Veriok Dreik says 'Yes _____ even you. You have to believe that I can help these people. You need to believe that I can help you. You need to believe that you can help me. I believe you can help me. Will you [help me] save these people?'

You say, 'I will help you.'

Veriok Dreik says 'Then let's get started! This man Tylis suffers from mental torment. Look at him ______ he is in pain. His illness is no ordinary illness. Someone is controlling his mind and we need to stop the source ofthis torment. You can find the one who controls his mind inside the Plane of Torment. We want to learn more about how his brain works. Destroy the source and bring me back his brain so we can set those under his spell free.'

Find and kill the Crazed Mind Tormentor in the Plane of Torment. It spawns in the small southern room on the first floor of Saryrn's tower. This means you will require someone with a Saryrn tower key in order to reach him. It is single-groupable. The Crazed Mind Tormentor melees and rampages, but has no special effects and does not cast. Loot Brains of the Tormentor and bring it to Veriok:

Reward: Keeper of Sorrows Flag, which counts toward your planar progression.

Chain Elemental Tranquility Armor (Normal): Each class gets a specific suit of armor by talking to Bor Wharhammer. This is for classes that wear chain armor.

T'construct a piece o'chain armor, ye need t'combine a chain pattern, an emblem, various amounts of ethereal metal rings an' use one o'those crafty Tanaan smithin' 'ammers all within a furnace touched by Ro. Ethereal metal ring construction is another matter. Ye will need to combine a brick o'ethereal energy, an ethereal temper an' a file within a Tanaan forge. You say, 'Hail, Hrelic Reista'

Hrelic Reista glances over from his books for a moment. 'Greetings. Have you come to the realm of the tranquil to study as have? The chaotic energy of lightning has caught my interest of late. I've been trying to understand the magics that further refine my control of lightning and [thunder].'

    You say, 'What thunder?'

Hrelic Reista says 'The sages of Knowledge have been able to create useful powers by translating some of the ancient scripts found in the planes. I've been doing further research into the Draught of Thunder spell. I believe I can refine the power of the thunder and lightning into a bolt of pure destructive energy. I hear rumors that the giants of Torden have acute control of thunder and lightning. If you bring me one of their lightning spheres and a copy of the Draught of Thunder scroll I may be able to weave them into a new spell.'

Upon turning in the two items:

Hrelic Reista takes the sphere and the scroll from you and begins to scrawl some rune on the bottom of the parchment. He begins to utter some strange syllables over the parchment and the sphere begins to glow, then it dissolves into floating strands of ethereal energy and begins to scrawl itself across the page. Hrelic hands you the scroll, 'The power of lightning rests in your hands _____. Use this new power wisely.'

Receive Spell: Draught of Lightning Reward: Spell: Draught of Lightning

Elder Gelok's Supplies (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Elder Gelok'

Elder Gelok says 'Hello there! Welcome in. . . Welcome in. . . Just watch yourself when making your way past my most trusted assistant, Drogguk. While he may have superior strength, his coordination is most inferior. He's dropped many a gear on my toes, but I know he means well. In fact, I was intending to send him on a [serious mission], though I would rather he not go.'

    You say, 'what serious mission'

Elder Gelok says 'You see, this windmill is more than it seems. It's quite a splendid device! It produces energy by converting the wind that rotates the blades into a power that supercharges the windmill's transcentrifugal axles. In simple terms, what it does is creates a portal into the [Plane of Innovation]. What a wonderful place that is! A virtual dream-land for any gnome!'

You say, 'what Plane of Innovation'

Elder Gelok says 'Oh, it is such an amazing place! I ultimately desire to travel there to learn of advanced mechanics. Alas, this windmill requires constant upkeep due the constant surge of power that it propels. The gears are constantly getting sandy and the axles lose their grease almost daily. I'm often in need of [new parts] and that's where Drogguk's assistance would currently be handy, but I simply cannot sacrifice his current duties at this time. Pity, pity.'

    You say, 'what new parts'

Elder Gelok says 'Well, Drogguk used to travel through the portal to acquire items for me from the salvage yard. The last time he went through in search of parts he came back [badly wounded] and that's saying quite a lot! I was quite alarmed, but the elders nursed him to health with amazing haste. I simply cannot imagine placing him in such jeopardy again. He was lucky to return at all by the look of him then!'

    You say, 'how badly wounded'

Elder Gelok says 'Aye, you can still see some of the scars about his body. He stumbled out of the portal that day, bloody and spouting on about shiny men trying to tear him apart. He said they were speaking of research the whole time. Frightful stuff, really. Well, you look adventurous enough. Why don't you go collect some supplies for me? I fear that Drogguk would not be able to manage another trip to collect the [supplies] I require to maintain this place.'

    You say, 'what supplies?'

Elder Gelok says 'Size 12 sprockets are always greatly needed. Any Silicorrosive Grease you find would be a huge help as well. You can never have too much Silicorrosive grease laying around. Also, tri-platinum foil and mini-gyro shields would be good for something or another. Micro-ceramic sleeves are a nice find as well. Got all that? Now, reach around up there in the area of the transcentrifugal axle that isn't working. You'll either be badly wounded or transported to the Plane of Innovation. Take care!'

    Hand in a requested item:

Elder Gelok examines the object for a moment and then says, 'This is great! The windmill should function for weeks to come due to your hard work. Feel free to bring me any others that you find. A stockpile of parts never hurt anyone!'
    You gain experience!!

You also occasionally receive a random valuable gem. Reward: Blue Diamond
    Reward: Diamond
    Reward: Peridot
    Reward: Raw Diamond

Force of Akera (Normal): Find Illian Rellasp (white robed Erudite, downshore from the Plane of Tranquility zone-in and entrance to the Plane of Fire).

    You say, 'Hail, Illian Rellasp'

Illian Rellasp says 'Hello ______. Come to enjoy the soothing serenity of this place? The quiet waters remind me of the docks in Erudin when I was a child. It is unfortunate that the tranquility of Quellious does not extend further into the world of Norrath. Every Deepwater Knight yearns for the eternal calm of paradise after a life of faithful service to the gods. Perhaps you have heard of one such knight that achieved transcendence. His name was [Inte Akera] and he is one of the greatest Deepwater Knights to ever live.'

You say, 'Who is Inte Akera?' [Rather silly, as I was holding a Fiery Defender at the time.]

Illian Rellasp says 'Inte was the first paladin of the Deepwater order to be called to the planes as a servant to the greater gods. While the power of tranquility is fairly well known among the holy orders of paladins in Norrath, few were able to harness the calming power of the ocean into a weapon of order. Inte was one of those holy knights. I can teach this little known magic to you, but I will need a few [things] first.'

    You say, 'What things?'

Illian Rellasp says 'The words of Quellious were the foundation of Inte's magic, I'll need a copy of Quellious' Words of Tranquility. I'll also need the scales of a seahorse blessed by Prexus, the ocean lord, in order to harness the power of the sea. Bring me these things and I will teach you the Power of Inte Akera.'

Get a Seahorse Scales (found in Kedge, possibly Siren's Grotto. Found mine in the Bazaar) and a copy of the level 54 paladin spell Words of Tranquility (PoK Library, Cavalier Preradus, 88 PP).

Illian Rellasp takes the scales and the scroll from you. He takes the scales and grinds them with a mortar and pestle into a fine powder. He begins to speak holy words out over the water and allows the powder to fall into the water. The water begins to glow and bubble. Illian takes the scroll and dips one edge into the water. The water then races up across he parchment and forms into holy runes of Prexus. As the seas calm, Illian turns to you and hands you the scroll. 'May the power of the Prexus guard your journeys ______.' Reward: Spell: Force of Akera

Jimlok's Friend (Clockwork Talisman #1) (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Jimlok Keylifter'

Jimlok Keylifter says 'Well met, traveler. Can I be of assistance to you? Can't say as I got much to do at the moment. I'm just attending to a little fishing while I wait on my friend to get back to me. Hopefully he doesn't keep me waiting for too much longer. I can only stand so much of this place.'

    You say, 'What friend?'

Jimlok Keylifter says 'This is the situation. My friend Gilor Swiftfoot and I were going to try our hand at breaking into the Plane of Justice. Yeah, yeah, I'm sure you're thinking that's silly and all, but how many people do you know of that can say they've broken out of the Eternal Prison, let alone in? 'None', right? So, we were all ready to go in when I got word that something else needed re-appropriating all quick like. I told Gilor to wait until I got back, but no. He had to run off, eager as always and as patient as a gust of wind. Now, I think he's in trouble.'

    You say, 'What trouble?'

Jimlok Keylifter says 'People here seem to think that he tried to make the prison break by himself. They've found another way in, so maybe he took that route. I'd like to check on him, but if he isn't in there, I'm liable to get myself in trouble. I think I'd be much better off staying here and waiting for him. If you want to go look for him, I'd be quite grateful. I doubt you have the skills to get far in there. You don't look like the burglarizing type, but I'd even be willing to give you the document that I picked up on my last job if you look for him.'

    You say, 'What document?'

Jimlok Keylifter says 'Don't you worry about that unless you bring me some word of Gilor's condition. Trust me, it's a strange and mysterious document. Just the sort of thing you adventuring types love. Find Gilor and it's all yours, I give you my word.'

You say, 'I will look for him.'

Jimlok Keylifter says 'Alright, friend, you need to be on the lookout for a gnome about my height, with one bad leg. He's got a bit of a limp, but he's still a hard one to chase down. If you can't find him, be on the lookout for anything that resembles a small bottle. He's got a way with rodents; so if you see some little pest carrying a bottle of some sort, grab him! It will most likely be a message for me. Bring it back immediately. It won't be of any use to you anyway, since you can't read our code. Be quick and good luck!'

Kill A Festering Rat in the Plane of Justice to obtain a Tiny Bottle with Note. Give this to Jimlok Keylifter.

Jimlok Keylifter sighs deeply as he hands you an intricate schematic of some device. The notation on the document is written in a strange language that is completely foreign to you. 'This doesn't bode well for Gilor. He says he's found a secret tunnel and he's going to go in deeper. I guess I'll go in and find him if he doesn't return soon. Well, a deal is a deal. Here is the document that I mentioned.'

Jimlok Keylifter says 'The person that I was supposed to lift it for was a jeweler of sorts, but he mainly dealt in mechanical devices. I wasn't able to track him down to get my coin, so I don't know what you'll do with it. Maybe my cousin Tabben will give you something for it. He's got himself a little tinker's shop in the Jeral section of New Tanaan. Show him the map thingy and see what he says.'

You receive a Strange Jeweler's Schematic. Go to Tabben Bromal in the Plane of Knowledge.

    You say, 'Hail, Tabben Bromal'

Tabben Bromal says 'What is it? What do you wan. . . Oh bloody underfoot, do forgive me, traveler. I'm not used to all this bickering and flittering about -- you know, the bustle of the 'living' city. The racket, the noise, and the wails of the children. Bah! I came here to escape it, not to relive it. But if I survived it once, I sure as Brell's holy bottom will do it again! In hopes of getting you all out of here as soon as possible and the peace and quiet being resurrected out of your blessed absence, I've agreed to lend some of my knowledge of the more inferior levels of tinkering to those who have an interest in this art. If you don't intend on purchasing any materials, then be off with you and leave me in peace. However, if you have coin in your pocket and you plan on spending, then do so quickly. I have more pressing things to do with my time than wait while you leisurely browse my wares.'

    Give him the schematic.

Tabben Bromal takes the document from you and looks at it for a moment. 'Well, this is a beautiful looking schematic. I wonder what they are trying to make with it? Where did you get this? No wait; don't tell me. I'd rather not know. I can make some of this writing out but just barely. What I can read leads me to believe that I'd be better off not knowing.'

Tabben Bromal falls victim to his curiosity and grabs a small kit from the table behind him. 'Take this kit and look for the following parts,' he says as he scrunches his nose at the schematic again. 'We'll need a Tri-coated Metal Casing, one Size C spring, some Creeping silk strands -- whatever those are -- and some Congealed Bile-based Ooze. I'm not sure if this thing is wanting us to make a device or some sort of nasty cocktail, but that's what it's asking for... ewww!'

You receive a Small Parts Kit.

Tabben Bromal says 'Seal those things up in the container that I just gave you and bring it straight back to me. I'll wait here for you and see if I can decipher anymore of this schematic.'

Tri-Coated Metal Casing - random from spiders in PoI,
Size C Spring - random from models in PoI,
Creeping Silk Strands - from a virulent arachnid in PoN
Congealed Bile-Based Ooze - from a pile of bile in PoD
[The loot tables for the bile and arachnids used to be switched, but should now be fixed.]

Combine the four parts in the Small Parts Kit to craft a Sealed Parts Box. Give this to Tabben.

Tabben Bromal says 'Oh, you've returned! Very good, ______! Saria and I have made some real progress on the document that you brought us. Watch this and you'll see what I mean!'

Tabben Bromal quickly opens the small case and removes the parts. He takes a tiny spanner, several small bolts, and a long wire and quickly pieces together what appears to be a small clockwork talisman. He pulls a leather string through the top of it and offers it to you.

You receive a Small Clockwork Talisman.
You receive a Small Parts Container.

Tabben Bromal says 'That should work for you, but from what we gathered, there's another layer of mechanics that works to shield and envelope the existing talisman. It's going to require more parts. So take this container and let me know when you're ready to write down the names of the next set of parts.' Reward: Small Clockwork Talisman
    Reward: Small Parts Container

Key to Xegony's Island (Normal): Find Sarhya the Dawnbreeze, a drake, located at the entrance to the Plane of Air in Tranquility (+882, -686, -612.).

You say, 'Hail, Sarhya the Dawnbreeze'

Sarhya says, 'Well met. I am keeper of the Portal to the [Plane or Air].'

You say, 'What of the Plane of Air?'

Without access to Plane of Air:

Sarhya the Dawnbreeze says, 'The Elemental Planes are not for idle exploration. Return to me when you have a reason to enter and I will consider opening the portal for you.'

With proper access to Plane of Air:

Sarhya the Dawnbreeze says, 'Xegony has created four avatars, each one embodies a different aspect of her power, and each of these avatars was created with a portion of her very essence. The story goes, the one who possesses each of these essences may create a key to break Xegony's ward and enter into her inner sanctum. I don't know the truth behind this, as I have neither the power, nor the desire to challenge the Avatars myself. I have fashioned this, which I believe will form the four essences into a key.'

    You receive on your cursor:

    Pouch of Swirling Winds
    Lore, No Trade
    Class: NONE
    Race: NONE

    Size: SMALL
    Weight: 1.0
    Weight Red: 5
    Capacity: 6
    Size Cap: MEDIUM

Take your pouch along with a nice sized raid into the Plane of Air. You'll need to kill the four Avatars and loot their essences. This basically involves clearing the entire zone.

The Avatars of Smoke (event information) and Wind (event information) are located in the lower levels of the zone, while the Avatars of Dust (event information) and Mist (event information) are located in the upper levels.

Once you have the four essences, combine them in your pouch. This results in a Wind Etched Key, which is the key to Xegony's Island. Using the key, you can port your group up to the island.

    Reward: Wind Etched Key

    You say, 'what leather'

Bor Wharhammer says 'Leather armor provides little protection due t'the make-up o'the materials. We shall do our best, 'owever, t'see ye make a quality piece. T'do so, ye must combine a pattern, an emblem, various pieces o'cured ethereal energy an' a Tanaan embroidery needle all within a sewing kit boilin' with magical energy. The cured energy may be problematic fer an unskilled craftsman, 'owever. Just sew two silk ethereal swatches together using a Tanaan embroidery needle within a Tanaan loom. I can just imagine yer next question t'be about swatches, aye?'

    You say, 'what swatches'

Bor Wharhammer sighs at you. 'T'make a swatch, ye need t'combine two strands o'ether along with a curing agent in a Tanaan loom. Ye will need t'seek a skilled brew master t'make the curing agent fer ye. Just 'ave them create it by using two celestial essences, soda an' paeala sap'

Just venture back when ye need another an' dinnae ferget the coin!'

    You say, 'What planar armors?'

Bor Wharhammer says 'From me understanding, the very fabric o'the planes is so strong out 'ere, it can be found in raw form the deeper ye traverse. Anyone who ventures far into the planes finds that they must wear excellent armor t'protect them from the savage environment. The very essence of planar energy can be focused into a form that can fit our shape. As ye progress deeper into the planes, ye will find many molds an' patterns with which t'base a set o'armor. If ye want t'know 'ow t'craft the various types o'armor, I can instruct ye about plate, chain, leather an' silk.'

    You say, 'What plate?'

Bor Wharhammer says 'Ahhhhh ______! The fine rigid armor that can stop a shaft from piercing yer heart! Too bad it be so cumbersome an' difficult t'move about in. To construct a piece o'plate armor, ye need t'combine a plate mold, an emblem, various amounts o'sheet metal an' use one o'those crafty Tanaan smithin' 'ammers all within a furnace touched by Ro. Ethereal metal sheet construction is another matter. Ye will need t'combine two bricks o'ethereal energy, an ethereal temper an' a Tanaan smithin' 'ammer within a Tanaan forge. I would seek a skilled craftsperson t'make the metal sheets fer ye; the emblem will enable ye t'craft the final armor piece no matter what yer skill be.'

If you give him 500 platinum pieces:

Bor Wharhammer says 'Wonderful! This coin will go towards me fines with the Myrist library. They charge quite a bit fer overdue volumes! 'ere be yer emblem an' a kit in which ye may craft planar armor. The kit only 'as enough magical energy t'craft one piece before the energies expire, be sure ye understand. May the armor ye make with it provide ye with much protection.'

You receive a class-specific emblem and a Mystical Furnace of Ro, an 8-slot container useful only for combines involving ornate or elemental molds. The ornate molds drop in various zones.

Basic recipe is: appropriate ornate plate mold, class-specific emblem, tanaan smithing hammer, 1-3 ethereal sheets of metal. Combine in the Mystical Furnace of Ro. The final combine is no-fail.

The kit acts as a focal point fer the wild magic energy o'the Planes. Ye will only be able t'use each emblem an' kit once when ye create the piece, 'owever I dinnae be goin' anywhere soon!

The Binden Concerrentia (Talisman #3) (Normal): You must complete the previous two quests before you can do this quest.

Elder Clinka is found in the Plane of Tranquility at loc -385, -1275, -900, not far from the Plane of Nightmare entrance.

    You say, 'Hail, Elder Clinka'

Elder Clinka does not seem to notice you.

Hand her The Talisman Schematic (the note you got at the end of the previous quest).

Elder Clinka says 'It is a pleasure to meet you. I've heard a great deal about you from the other elders. Please give me a moment to scan over this for you.'

Elder Clinka scans the schematic for a few seconds, mumbling as she reads, 'This parchment states that you are to place a small shard of concentrated elemental matter into each of the holes in your talisman.' She points a finger to the diagram as she begins to recount what she has learned from it, 'They would then need to be locked into place, as the diagram indicates here.'

Elder Clinka says 'If you bring me a fragment or shard of some living creature from each of the elemental planes, I will see if we can make this device work. Place them in this box with your talisman and combine them together before returning the box to me. In the meantime, I will continue to translate this document from its original language.'

You receive a Small Lined Case. Place the following five items into the case:
    * Powered Clockwork Talisman (the reward from the previous quest in the series)
    * A Living Fragment of Air (dropped by any Temple Guardian in the Eryslai, the Kingdom of Air [Plane of Air])
    * A Living Fragment of Fire (dropped by any Jopal in Doomfire, the Burning Lands [Plane of Fire])
    * A Living Fragment of Water (dropped by any Trilouns in the Reef of Coirnav [Plane of Water])
    * A Living Fragment of Earth (dropped by any Vekerchikis in Vegarlson, the Earthen Badlands or Ragrax, Stronghold of the Twelve [Plane of Earth A and B, respectively])

Combine them to produce a Sealed Lined Case.

You have fashioned the items together to create something new!

Hand the Case to Elder Clinka.

Elder Clinka carefully opens the small box and takes several small tools from the pocket in her robe. Her nimble fingers place the glowing elemental pieces into the appropriate sockets and covers them with several small caps that she must have made while you were away.

Elder Clinka then looks up at you and says, 'This device is called the Binden Concerrentia. Its true power will be revealed to you soon. This document describes it as a device that is meant to convert the energy that can be found in true prime elemental matter, into an entirely new form of energy. The schematic states that this energy will 'bind you in the now'. I am not sure what that means, but I believe that you will soon find out.

Elder Clinka says 'Take care of it and keep it with you at all times. I feel that your journey from this point will only become more dangerous. Perhaps this device will play a role in all of that. Move forward along the path of enlightenment. May the Balance guide your fate.'

You receive The Binden Concerrentia in your inventory. Reward: The Binden Concerrentia

Thelin's Torment (Access to the Lair of Terris Thule) (Normal): This quest grants you access to the Lair of Terris Thule.

Pre-Flag: Elder Poxbourne & Adroha Jezith

Find Elder Poxbourne and Adroha Jezith in the Plane of Tranquility, in the structure south of the one that contains the Plane of Knowledge book:

    You say, 'Hail, Elder Poxbourne'

Adroha gives a soft sigh of woe, 'You won't be getting any response from Thelin. Ever since his injury he has been in a deep [coma] with no sign of ever recovering.'

Thelin tosses and turns violently on the floor, then is still.

Target Adroha Jezith and ask her about the coma:

    You say, 'What coma?'

Adroha Jezith says 'My pity onto Thelin. His life on Norrath was a miserable one. As a young man he began to study the workings of fear inspired by Cazic-Thule. The workings had been translated for mortals by Zebuxoruk. Pouring over the texts, Thelin felt his mind being invaded by Cazic. This information was not for mortal usage and the malevolent god stripped him of all his earthly belongings and cursed him to live in [poverty and ruin].'

You say, 'What poverty and ruin?'

Adroha Jezith says 'Aye, he lived in the streets of Eastern Freeport, begging from those passing through the port. He sat quivering, propped up against a wall with one hand out as he watched the travelers pass by. None of them even gave him a second glance. Several years would pass before a female dwarf would arrive to trade some of her family's armor and weapons. She saw and took pity on Thelin. She knelt down, scratched her beard then began to rummage through her backpack. She then placed a [jeweled dagger] in his hand, smiled and returned to her former business.'

    You say, 'What jeweled dagger?'

Adroha Jezith says 'This was the only gift that Thelin had received since the curse. It was beautifully crafted and would likely have fetched a handsome price upon the market. He decided to keep the dagger as it was such a kind gesture. Later that eve, Thelin heard the calling of others that studied Zebuxoruk's workings. He recognized the language they called out in. He approached the men and explained he had studied the writings of Zebuxoruk. One of the shaded figures then began to mutter an incantation. Suddenly, there was a bright flash, lush vegetation and a peaceful breeze surrounded them. They had ascended here, to the [Plane of Tranquility] where they could further study the works without interference from the gods and mortals alike.'

You say, 'The Plane of Tranquility?'

Adroha Jezith says 'Thelin enjoyed it here. He assisted the other followers by using all his mana to open a portal to the Plane of Nightmares, the demi-plane ruled by the child of The Faceless, Terris-Thule. Spent from using all his energies, he went to bed early after his victory had been achieved in this task. As he laid in bed, he looked over the dagger that had been given to him by the female dwarf. He smiled at the new peace he had found here and began to fall asleep. Drifting away into the realm of dreams, his subconscious was assulted by the horrors of a nightmare. He tossed and turned from the visions that came before him. So bad did he writhe in his subconscious torment that he turned on the dagger. He was critically injured, and let out a wrenching scream. We found him and were able to heal his wound enough to keep him alive. However, he still lies in a deep coma seemingly [tortured by nightmares].'

    You say, 'Tortured by nightmares?'

Adroha Jezith tells you, 'It is our belief that Terris-Thule is punishing him for allowing entrance into her plane. She seems to have an exceedingly strong tie to him. Since her father has already punished him, she likely found that he was easily tormented by her own powers. Sometimes he talks while tossing and turning. We have taken note of everything he has said. He has said 'I accept your offer Terris-Thule', 'I must find the pieces', and 'It never ends'. You must help him. Go through the portal that he has helped to create. Try to find his planar projection in Terris' plane. Help him wake from this torment. Please, I beg you. I cannot stand to watch him suffer any longer.'

You have received a character flag!

    The Hedge Event

Bring along three groups, making up 18 people (the maximum allowed in this event) and speak with Thelin Poxbourne who is located at the hedge near the zoneout across the river in the Plane of Nightmares.

If you hail him without the pre-flag:

Thelin Poxbourne screams loudly, and then falls asleep once again.

If you hail him with the pre-flag:

Thelin Poxbourne tells you, 'Who is it? Are you.. really there? You are! Please I beg of you to help me escape from this horrid place. Terris Thule is holding me here, she delights in the nightmares she sends me. To further torture me, she has offered me a pact. She has said that if I can retrieve my [dagger], then I am free to go. She does this only because she knows that I cannot retrieve it on my own.'

    You say, 'what dagger?'

Thelin Poxbourne tells you, 'She has taken the only thing that has brought me any joy in my life. She took it and broke it into seven pieces. She placed them deep within the labyrinth of my nightmare. I must retrieve it, will you [help] me. Please I beg of your mercy.'

You say, 'I will help you'

Thelin Poxbourne tells you, 'I do not know who you are, but I am thankful that you have stumbled upon me. I can bring you into my dream state, but my powers are limited so I can only handle eighteen at once. Please when you are prepared have the leader of each of your band of adventurers tell me they are ready.'

    You say, 'I am ready'

Thelin Poxbourne says 'Thelin Poxbourne closes his eyes and falls asleep immediately. He looks peaceful for a moment and then screams in agony!'

You are ported into the Hedge Maze.

When ready to begin the event, speak with Thelin Poxbourne inside the maze.

    You say, 'Hail, Thelin Poxbourne'

Thelin Poxbourne says 'Has everyone made it here safely? When you tell me I will seal off my dream and we can begin. We must be careful here, visions await around every turn. Are you ready to follow? I know where all the pieces of the dagger are, but I cannot collect them all on my own.'

    You say, 'I am ready'

Thelin Poxbourne says 'Please stay close, I know not what horror Terris will unleash upon us.'

He leads you into a maze, with growing NPC encounters along the way. You must keep him (and yourselves) alive as NPCs spawn and attack. Along the way, he will pick up pieces of the dagger he spoke of:

Thelin Poxbourne kneels down and picks up a dagger hilt.
Thelin Poxbourne slowly picks up a shard of a dagger blade.
Thelin Poxbourne picks up a the top half of a dagger blade.
Thelin Poxbourne picks up a dagger handle with a small hole in it.
Thelin Poxbourne picks up a small gem to place inside the handle.
Thelin Poxbourne kneels down and picks up a dagger blade tip.

Once he gets to the center of the maze, the Construct of Nightmares spawns. It hits for a max ~1,150 (double attacks) and has a lot of hitpoints for its level. Kill it and loot the Dagger Blade Shard from its corpse, and give it to Thelin.

Thelin Poxbourne takes the final shard from you and places all of the pieces on the ground, with unseen hands the dagger moves together and fuses itself back together into one complete piece. Thelin picks it up and hands it to you.

Thelin Poxbourne says 'Terris hear me now! I have done as you have called for. My beloved dagger is whole once again! Come now keep up your part of the bargain.'

    Terris Thule spawns:

Terris Thule says 'You fool! You did not earn this prize on your own! The contract that has been drawn is now invalid. You will never leave my grasp, prepare your soul for eternal torment!'

Terris Thule laughs heartily and then vanishes in a swirl of incorporeal mist.

Thelin Poxbourne says 'Vile wench, I knew in the end it would come to this. You shall pay dearly for your injustice here.'

Thelin Poxbourne says 'So then my hope is nearly lost. Take with you my dagger. Plunge it deep into her soulless heart. If I cannot escape from this plane under her rules, I shall make my own!'

Hail Thelin Poxbourne for the flag:

    You say, 'Hail, Thelin Poxbourne'

Thelin Poxbourne tells you, 'Please destroy her for all that have had to endure her hideous visions.' Thelin closes his eyes and is swept away from his nightmare. The land of pure thought begins to vanish from around you.

You have received a character flag!

This flags you for the zone "Lair of Terris Thule". Reward: Twisted Longbow
    Reward: Skull Lined Amice
    Reward: Thelin's Dagger
    Reward: Elbow Spiked Arm Plates
    Reward: Black Bastardsword
    Reward: Veteran's Chain Leggings

Tylis's Condition (Saryrn Flag) (Normal): You must be flagged from killing both Bertoxxulous and Terris Thule for Fahlia Shadyglade to talk to you. You can, however, kill Maareq the Prophet and Saryrn first, then kill Bertoxxulous and/or Terris Thule later, then see Seer Mal Nae`Shi in the Plane of Knowledge to get your flags in order.

    You say, 'Hail, Fahlia Shadyglade'

Fahlia Shadyglade tells you, 'Greetings travelers. Please excuse me but I must attend to Tylis for his condition does not improve.'

    You say, 'What condition?'

Fahlia Shadyglade tells you, 'It all goes back to when I found him. I had just purchased a new fishing pole in the hopes of finding some time to relax on the shores of the island. As I was walking out of the shop, I heard a distant moan. I walked toward the source and found Tylis lying by the reflecting pool. The pool was different, though. It now had a small [black cube] floating over it. I tried to wake Tylis but was not successful. I then brought him here and have been caring for him since.'

    You say, 'What black cube?'

Fahlia Shadyglade tells you, 'I do not like that cube at all. Just thinking of it brings pain to my mind. Gazing upon it gives the sensation of being slowly rent apart at each limb. I believe that whatever has fallen over Tylis is related to this cursed cube. Other elders claim that it is a portal that will lead into the [Plane of Torment].'

You say, 'What Plane of Torment?'

Fahlia Shadyglade tells you, 'It is not a plane that was originally sought to be reached by our elders. It is their belief though that Saryrn, the Mistress of Torment, intends to breed her suffering even into this protected plane of Quellious. I wish I had the strength to go into the Plane of Torment and find out exactly the nature of the current circumstances to have afflicted Tylis, but I cannot leave his side in good conscience.'

    You say, 'I will go.'

Fahlia Shadyglade tells you, 'Wonderful. I did not think that an outsider was one that I could trust to aid me in this. One name that Tylis has mentioned in agony is that of Maareq. I do not know whom this is, but he must be instrumental in Tylis' suffering. You must find Maareq and do what you must to release Tylis from this torture.'

You have received a character flag!

Note that saying "I will go into the Plane of Torment" will put you in a dialogue loop.

Once pre-flagged, you have to trek to the Tower of Saryrn. Only one key is needed to admit all of the raid. Climb the tower. You will have to kill one mini-boss at each level to pass:

    - no boss on ground floor
    - Salczek the Fleshgrinder (1st floor)
    - The Acolyte of Affliction (2nd floor)
    - Ta`Grusch the Abomination (3rd floor)

On the 4th floor is Maareq the Prophet. Defeat him, and Tylis Newleaf will
spawn in one of the suspended cages of the room. Somebody with a valid
preflag must hail him, and offer to help.

    After killing Maareq the Prophet:

    You say, 'Hail, Tylis Newleaf'

Tylis Newleaf doesn't move, but struggles to whisper, '...help ...end this torment ...will you come? I can show you the pain... it moves in the shadows of my mind... will you assist me?'

You say, 'We will assist you.'

Tylis Newleaf says 'Please tell me when you are ready. I do not know if I have enough energy to channel all of you, but I can try. When you are ready, I will channel you into my pain.'

Make sure the entire raid is bunched together near Tylis Newleaf.

    You say, 'We are ready.'

The entire raid is teleported into "Tylis' suffering" (an isolated part of the zone). Move upstairs to find the Keeper of Sorrows. Upon slaying the Keeper, Tylis spawns. Hail him to get the Keeper flag, then say you're ready for travel, and you'll be sent back to Maareq's room. Note: Unless you hail him before saying you are ready to return, you may get a Saryrn flag during this raid but must go on a second raid to complete your Keeper flag.

Tylis Newleaf tells you, 'I must thank you for your kind efforts friends. This place has laid claim to me for far too long. Please take care and offer the dark wench my best. I am off... and I suggest you not stray to far from that route yourselves. Please tell me when you are ready to return and may your blades strike true!'
You have received a character flag!

You say, 'I am ready to return.' <--- WARNING. This ports your whole group. Wait until everyone in your group/raid has their hails/flags done before saying this.

    Your tormented visions have ended.

You are teleported back to where you were after killing Maareq.

Saryrn is on the 5th floor. Kill her, and hail the Planar Projection which spawns upon her death. Both flags (Keeper and Saryrn) are required to complete the Torment plane flagging.
