Charm of the Brotherhood (Incomplete): Note: To receive the Charm of the Brotherhood, all you need to do is hand Firon Dernkal the four medallions. The text below may or may not have anything to do with the charm...

Firon Dernkal may be found at -85, -1110, +3, at the top of the warrior guild. He is indifferent to all races.

You say, 'Hail, Firon Dernkal'

Firon Dernkal says 'Well met _____, what exactly is it I can do for you? You must excuse me if there are no pressing matters, I have a very important [lieutenant] to track down. He has been missing for quite some time now.'

You say, 'Who is this lieutenant?"

Firon Dernkal says, 'Ah yes, of course. The one I speak of is none other than Gerod Yalronsan, he is one of the finest warriors to ever serve the brotherhood. He was recently promoted to official courier of the brotherhood. He has most recently been tasked with the responsibility to take documents to and from Mistmoore. Most notably our battle strategies that are very dangerous if they end up in the wrong hands. I do not know what has become of him and I have grown worried. Would you be [willing to help me locate Gerod]."

You say, 'I am willing to help you locate Gerod.'

Firon Dernkal says 'Very well then. Allow me to gather my thoughts about what he was to pick up and drop off this trip. Ah yes, of course, he was to report to Eirod Haerod with our latest plans for the attack on Kelethin with the help of Clan Crushbone. If you wished to find his whereabouts, visiting her would probably be a good place to start. Bring this symbol so that she will know we have sent you.'

Receive Symbol of the Brotherhood, which you can take to Eirod Haerod in Castle Mistmoore.

(dialogues?)

She'll ask you to bring her a Brownie Torso in exchange for some war plans. (Where does it go from here?)

(Steps missing here: Is there any dialogue to suggest you should hand in the four medallions to Firon Dernkal?)

Upon turning in the four medallions to Firon Dernkal -- Silver Medallion, Gold Medallion, Platinum Medallion, Bronze Medallion, all random drops in Dulak's Harbor:

Firon Dernkal says 'This is terrible news most definitely. I do not know how this could have happened. Gerod was one of the most skilled weapon masters that the Brotherhood has ever seen. I do certainly appreciate your work and dedication to this matter, please take this charm as a token of my appreciation.'

Receive Charm of the Brotherhood. Reward: Charm of the Brotherhood
Reward: Symbol of the Brotherhood

Exterminate the Vermin (Neriak Commons) (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Exterminator Damasi'

Exterminator Damasi says 'Greetings traveller. How would you like to make some money? I was brought in to kill some of these rodents that have been infesting the city but there are simply way too many of them. If you can kill some of the rodents around here and bring me four rat whiskers, perhaps I could find some spare coin for you.'

You say, 'I would like to make some money'

On handing in the whiskers..

Exterminator Damasi says 'Well there are still many rodents around but I will honor my deal. Here are your coins. Now I must get back to work.'
Fire Goblin Runner (Normal): Narex T`Vem may be found in the warriors guild (/loc?).

You say, 'Hail, Narex T`Vem'

Narex T`Vem says 'Welcome to the Cauldron of Hate. If you are a young warrior, you have come to the right place. There are many [duties] to be performed. If you are a veteran of the blade, we welcome your return to service. Perhaps you return with a [Leatherfoot] skullcap?'

You say, 'What duties?'

Narex T`Vem says 'I am so glad you asked. There is one matter of importance with which you may be able to assist. It seems an Erudite has made camp in Lavastorm. He is powerful and we do not expect you to slay him. Your mission is to cut off his supply line. I hope you will [accept the mission].'

You say, 'I will accept the mission.'

Narex T`Vem says 'Go to the Lavastorm Mountain Range. It is a dangerous place, but the one you seek must leave by the direction you entered. He is a goblin. Apparently the Erudite is employing their strength. The fire goblin runner shall be an easy kill for you. At least, he should be. Return his runner pouch to me.'

Head to Lavastorm Mountains, kill a Goblin Runner and loot its Goblin Supply Pouch. Turn this in to Narex.

Narex T`Vem says 'Fine work. I trust the denizens of Lavastorm were not unkind. Please take this featherweight pouch as a reward. May it keep you fleet of foot.'

Your faction standing with Indigo Brotherhood got better.
Your faction standing with Emerald Warriors got worse.
Your faction standing with Steel Warriors got worse.
Your faction standing with Primordial Malice got worse.
You gain experience!!

Need cut-off level to receive quest, /loc of a goblin runner. Reward: Featherweight Pouch

Halfling Raider Helms (Normal): Narex T'Vem, in the warrior's guild will announce that the Indigo Brotherhood is looking for someone to kill halfling raiders (located in various camps in Nektulos Forest).

You say, 'Hail, Narex T`Vem'

Narex T'vem says 'Welcome to the cauldron of hate. If you are a young warrior, you have come to the right place. There are many [duties] to be performed. If you are a veteran of the blade, we welcome your return to service. Perhaps you return with a [leatherfoot] skullcap?'

You say, 'Leatherfoot'

Narex T`Vem says, 'Where have you been? The halflings of Rivervale have an elite force of warriors. They are called the Leatherfoot Raiders. They have been infiltrating our glorious city of Neriak for quite some time. They must be exterminated! I must hire strong warriors who wish to [collect the bounty].'

You say, 'collect the bounty'

Narex T`Vem says, 'So you wish to collect the bounty on Leatherfoot Raiders? Then go into Nektulos and hunt them down. I shall pay a reward for no fewer than four Leatherfoot Raider skullcaps.'

Most Leatherfoot halflings occasionally drop a "Leatherfoot Raider Skullcap". Turn in four of these at a time to Narex T`Vem for experience, coin, and faction.

Narex T`Vem says, 'Fool! There shall be no reward until I have four skullcaps in my hands!'
Narex T`Vem says, 'Fool! There shall be no reward until I have four skullcaps in my hands!'
Narex T`Vem says, 'Fool! There shall be no reward until I have four skullcaps in my hands!'
Narex T`Vem says, 'I had my doubts, but you have proven them false. You are a fine warrior. You must continue to refine your talents. I reward you with the footman's voulge! Welcome into our house of warriors. Let us share skills as we shall share foes.'

Your faction standing with Indigo Brotherhood has been adjusted by 50.
Your faction standing with Emerald Warriors has been adjusted by -7.
Your faction standing with Steel Warriors has been adjusted by -2.
Your faction standing with Primordial Malice has been adjusted by -100.
You receive 7 gold from Narex T`Vem.
Reward: Footman's Voulge

Luggald Flesh (Normal): Fleshweaver T`soma stands along a wall as you zone into Neriak Commons.

You say, 'Hail, Fleshweaver T`soma'

Fleshweaver T`soma says 'Ah you must be the one sent to assist me. Good. I have need of flesh for my spellwork. I wish to summon them myself! Get me three samples of flesh from these new Luggald beings. Put the samples in this Fleshthread Satchel so that they don't decay.'

You receive a Fleshthreaded Satchel, a 4-slot GIANT container.

Journey to Dulak. As you enter Dulak from Gunthak, keep along the left wall till you find a hidden wall/secret passage into some caverns. Luggald Flesh (NO DROP) is a random drop in the tunnel, and seems to drop more commonly by the waterfall/temple-looking area. Combine 3 pieces of Luggald Flesh in the satchel to craft a Satchel of Luggald Samples. Return this to Fleshweaver T`soma.

Fleshweaver T`soma says 'Hmm. You seem more capable than my other assistants. I have another [task] to ask of you.'

You say, 'What task?'

Fleshweaver T`soma says 'We first learned of the Luggalds through our agents on Broken Skull Rock. It appears that Innoruuk intended these servants only for the trolls. We shall see about that! Go retrieve three samples of Fecund Luggald Flesh. You will need to get the flesh of those in the Crypt of Nadox this time. Here. Make sure to put them in this Fleshwoven Bag.'

You receive a Fleshwoven Bag, another 4-slot GIANT container.

Head for the Crypt of Nadox. Just before you get to the Undead Troll area, there is a room filled with Luggald Initiates and Luggald Abominations. The Fecund Luggald Flesh is pretty darn rare: it took me 4 nights of 5-hour camps to get 3 pieces, and it can come from either initiates or abominations. Combine the 3 pieces of Fecund Luggald Flesh to craft Fecund Luggald Samples. Return this to Fleshweaver T`soma.

Fleshweaver T`soma says 'Ah, yes. These are fantastic examples. No doubt they will ensure the success of our attempt. Now quickly, go speak with my Assistant T`os. She's prepared the ritual of summoning on the shores of Toxxulia Forest. It should be far enough away if anything...occurs.'

Head for Toxxulia Forest. Assistant T`os can be found to the very north of the water at approximately +2000, +1500.

You say, 'Hail, Assistant T`os'

Assistant T`os says 'You're late! Never mind. Prepare yourself. I do not trust these magics T`soma has constructed.'

This triggers a giant skeleton called a Fleshless Servant, approximately level 60. It harm touches, has a maximum melee of about 511, occasionally rampages, and is slowable with Shackle of Spirit. Beat it down to loot the item Fleshless Heart (NO DROP). As was mentioned, hailing T'os again will trigger another Fleshless Servant to spawn, so be careful not to go out in a blaze of harm touch. Take our Fleshless Heart back to Fleshweaver T`soma.

Fleshweaver T`soma says 'So. You've come back. I hope, for your sake, you haven't returned empty handed.'

Turn in your Fleshless Heart.

Fleshweaver T'soma says 'Apparently our ignorance exceeded our luck. Ah well, I'm sure the Prince of Hate will find some other punishment for our folly. Well, since you too chance his anger I suppose you deserve a reward. Here, take this...though I'm not sure how much use it will be against a god.' Reward: Fleshweaver's Mark
Reward: Heartspike

Orc Pawn Picks (Normal): Trizam N`Tan in the warrior guild gives the quest to return 4 Orc Pawn Picks to him for faction, money and occasionally an Item.

You say, 'Hail, Trizam N`Tan'
Trizam N`Tan says, 'And who do you think you are? To step into the Cauldron of Hate one should have the black soul of a warrior. For one to speak with Trizam he must have good reason. Perhaps you return with tales of [Deathfist agendas]. If so, then you are a year too late.'
You say, 'Deathfist agendas'
Trizam N`Tan says, 'Have you been spending day and night at the Maiden's Fancy?! The Deathfist orcs in the Commonlands are up to something insidious. As the inept humans in Freeport hunt down the warrior orcs, the pawns run about on some secret mission. I have been appointed by King Nathox to attend to this matter and hire young warriors who wish to [collect pawn kills].'
You say, 'collect pawn kills'
Trizam N`Tan says, 'Yes. You will. You need not know the reason why. I command you by order of King Naythox Thex to venture forth to the Commonlands and slay all the orc pawns you see. Return with four pawn picks and maybe I shall even reward you. Leave at once or you shall find yourself hanging from the Hooks of Innoruuk!'

Trizam N`Tan says, 'I instructed you to return with no fewer than four pawn picks!'
Trizam N`Tan says, 'I instructed you to return with no fewer than four pawn picks!'
Trizam N`Tan says, 'I instructed you to return with no fewer than four pawn picks!'
Trizam N`Tan says, 'So you have done your part to serve the King. As instructed, I shall reward your good deed. But I choose to reward you with provisions from the pantries of Neriak. They shall keep you strong.'
Your faction standing with Indigo Brotherhood has been adjusted by 10.
Your faction standing with Emerald Warriors has been adjusted by -1.
Your faction standing with Steel Warriors has been adjusted by -1.
Your faction standing with Primordial Malice has been adjusted by -20.

Have you come to [destroy the enemies of Neriak] or are you a coward better suited to mop the filth from the back rooms of the Maidens Fancy. '

You say, 'I have come to destroy the enemies of Neriak'

Jarrex N`Ryt says 'If you are going to be of any value to the Indigo Brotherhood you will need to outfit yourself in a suit of armor that will turn aside the blades of enemy forces. From the looks of you even the tiny fangs of a moss snake could bring you death. Take this request form to Issva H'Rugla to get yourself started on the assembly of your armor. When you have procured some protection for your weakling body return to me for [further instruction]. '

Issva H`Rugla says 'So you are one of Jarrex's new recruits. You are to assist in the construction of the armor you will don as a new Warrior of the Indigo Brotherhood. I have assembled a kit that is used in the crafting of Orc Slayer Mail. You must travel beyond Neriak into the Nektulos Forest for the [materials] that compose the armor. '
You say, 'what materials?'
Issva H`Rugla says 'Many species of dangerous creatures, the walking dead, and invading Deathfist Orcs inhabit the Nektulos Forest. You must defeat these creatures and undead in order to obtain the materials. The materials you seek depend on the piece of armor you desire. Do you desire to craft [gauntlets], [boots], a [bracer], a [helm], [greaves], [vambraces], or a [breastplate]? '

You say, 'I desire to craft a boots'

Issva H`Rugla says 'To craft Orc Slayer Boots you require two [silk thread], two cracked pyre beetle carapaces, and two orc foot bones. Once you have the necessary components combine them in your Mail Assembly Kit with this Tattered Boot Pattern. ' Reward: Orc Slayer Boots

You say, 'what further instruction?'

Jarrex N`Ryt says 'Ah, you are eager to advance further within the Indigo Brotherhood. Although it is my duty to aid your training, do not allow your arrogance to blind you to your lowly position amongst the Kings most loyal subjects. Your next task is to assist the construction of a [weapon] and [shield] worthy of being wielded by a Warrior of the Indigo Brotherhood. '

You say, 'what shield?'

Jarrex N`Ryt says 'Young Kodiak Bears often wander into the Nektulos Forest from the Commonlands searching for food. You do not appear to have the strength to arm wrestle a pixie. If you prove me wrong by slaying Young Kodiaks and bringing me four Young Kodiak Femurs I will guide you in the construction of a shield worthy of a warrior of the Indigo Brotherhood. ' Reward: Black Femur Shield

Orc Slayer Vambraces (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Jarrex N`Ryt'

Jarrex N`Ryt says 'What have we here? A new weakling that wishes to reap some sort of self-value and renown through service to the Indigo Brotherhood perhaps? Well speak up whelp!! Have you come to [destroy the enemies of Neriak] or are you a coward better suited to mop the filth from the back rooms of the Maidens Fancy.

You say, 'I desire to craft a vambraces'

Issva H`Rugla says 'To craft Ord Slayer Vambraces you require two [silk thread], a pyre beetle carapace, and two orc humerus bones. Once you have the necessary components combine them in your Mail Assembly Kit with this Tattered Sleeves Pattern. ' Reward: Orc Slayer Vambraces

Orc Slayer Weapon (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Jarrex N`Ryt'

Jarrex N`Ryt says 'What have we here? A new weakling that wishes to reap some sort of self-value and renown through service to the Indigo Brotherhood perhaps? Well speak up whelp!! You say, 'what weapon?'

Jarrex N`Ryt says 'Beyond the mouth of Neriak lies the Nektulos Forest. There the Deathfist Clan of Orcs has set up camps in an attempt to invade and claim the Nektulos Forest. Slay these invaders and bring to me an Orc Templar Scalp, an Orc Fibula bone, and an Orc Clavicle bone. '

Turn in the 3 items:

Jarrex N`Ryt fashions the orc templar scalp, orc fibula, and orc clavicle into the likeness of a sword hilt. 'This will be the hilt of your new sword. Take this jagged blade and sharpen it in a [forge] using a [sharpening stone], it may take you several attempts if you are unfamiliar with the process. Poison Frogloks (Illusion Guktan - evil) (Normal): Find the enchanter guildleader Ryoz K`Tarn on the top floor of the caster guild in Neriak Commons.

You say, 'Hail, Ryoz K`Tarn'

Ryoz K`Tarn says 'Bah! You have the stench of Troll on you! Then again, who doesn't these days with all those filthy brutes in our city? If only there was a way to [get rid of the Trolls].'

You say, 'I will get rid of the Trolls.'

Ryoz K`Tarn says 'The only way to get rid of the dirty beasts is to give them their so-called [city back].'

You say, 'Their city back?'

Ryoz K`Tarn says 'You truly are an imbecile aren't you? We have to [get rid of the Frogloks]!'

You say, 'I will get rid of the Frogloks.'

Ryoz K`Tarn says 'Well there are several ways. We could kill all of the slimy jumpers, but the king and queen won't commit our forces to that. We could infiltrate their ranks and sow dissension, but the most direct way would be to [assassinate] some of their leaders.'

You say, 'I will assassinate their leaders.'

Ryoz K`Tarn says 'I don't know. Perhaps you should speak to someone who does things like that for a living like one of our local assassins. Come back and see me when you have found a way to kill the slimy beasts. Now quit pestering me before I grow angry!'

Next, find Sazan K`Jartan in the Rogue guild, Neriak third quarter. He is the first NPC on the right when you enter the rogue guild. Make sure you have an inventory slot open. At this point, if you are KOS to the rogue guild you need to hail him and complete the dialog quickly, as he will attack you during it. He doesn't hit very hard, but when done you need an escape plan. Having a wizard or druid there to cast evacuate/exodus is ideal.

You say, 'Hail, Sazan K`Jartan'

Sazan K`Jartan glances at you from the corner of his eye. 'You'd better speak more swiftly than my blades or you won't walk out of here ______.'
Sazan K`Jartan says 'You are quite bold to approach a member of the Ebon Mask. Now be smart and run away.'
Sazan K`Jartan says 'Prepare to be gutted like a fish.'
Sazan K`Jartan says 'Ah, come to speak business have you, I figured Ryoz would be sending someone to me eventually. Well then, let's get down to business. I know of a [potent poison] that will kill even the hardiest Froglok quickly and silently, but with great pain.'

You say, 'What potent poison?'

Sazan K`Jartan says 'It is a bubbling concoction that can be quite dangerous to make for those with less than skilled hands. I will make this poison for you. However, I will need you to gather the [necessary materials].'

You say, 'What necessary materials?'

Sazan K`Jartan says 'Well, first off, we will need one dose of Mage's Bane which I just happen to have here. However, I will also need a dose of Susceptible Essence, a dose of Mind Melt and two [special ingredients]. When you have collected these poisons use this mortar to combine them and then hand me the result. Now you must be careful as this mortar is very fragile. If you happen to break it just tell me you need another and I will give you a new one.'

You receive a Slime Coated Mortar and Pestle.

You say, 'What special ingredients?'

Sazan K`Jartan says 'There is an associate of mine who can be found in a place known as the cauldron. Show him this note and he should be able to point you in the right direction. Be wary, retrieving these two ingredients will not be easy. Keep in mind that my friend will not talk to you unless you have some proof from me. If you lose this note come on back, let me know and I will write another for you.'

At this point, he has handed you a four-slot container to mix the final poison in, as well as a note to deliver to Grimpl Rustedcog, in Dagnor's Cauldron. He can be found on the island in the center of the lake.

You say, 'Hail, Grimpl Rustedcog'

Grimpl Rustedcog says 'Can I help you, or do you normally walk up to those you don't know and stare at them?'

Hand him the note.

Grimpl Rustedcog says 'Ah, you want some Viscous Venom, eh? Well I just used my last little bit to settle a score with an old gambling buddy. If you really want some you'll have to get it from good Ol' [Jagged Fang]!'

You say, 'Who is Jagged Fang?'

Grimpl Rustedcog says 'Jagged Fang is a long time resident of this here lake. Her scales secrete a liquid that is quite potent. The effects of this liquid causes one's mind and body to become weak. While she is a rather non-aggressive beast, I would suggest you bring some friends if you plan on getting some of her venom. Oh and one more thing, if you can manage to subdue her bring me back what you get and then I will tell ya who can help out with the other item you need.'

Upon asking about Jagged Fang, the mob should spawn across the lake on the shore. The snake cons dark blue to level 65, summons, hits for around 200, poisons and you can't stun her. Once dead, she drops Venom Filled Scales (no drop) which you take back to Grimpl Rustedcog.

Grimpl Rustedcog says 'Heh, I thought I would never see you again. Guess Ol' Jagged Fang wasn't as tough as I heard. Anyway here are your scales back and a note to my friend Saeko. She should be able to help you. You can normally find her wandering around the Southern Desert.'

He will hand back the Venom Filled Scales and a Note to Saeko. Travel to South Ro and find Saeko L`Vinec at the dark elf merchant tents.

You say, 'Hail, Saeko L`Vinec'

Hand her the note.

Saeko L`Vinec says 'So you're the one Sazan sent to help. He must need this venom badly. Tell you what, since I have been here for so long and turned up nothing I will tell you the [last known area] that Gargantula was spotted. She is a crafty beast who uses the sands of this desert to move silently.'

You say, 'Last known area?'

Saeko L`Vinec says 'From the information I have gathered the last time she came above ground was somewhere in the middle of the. . . Suddenly as if staring in the face of death Saeko's blue skin turns deathly grey. She looks at you for a moment and begins to cast a spell. That's when you hear a loud chittering behind you.'
Saeko L`Vinec begins to cast the gate spell.

This summons a large spider named Gargantula. The spider hits for 275 max, can't be snared, can't be stunned, and summons. A little over halfway through the fight, she will summon ten small spiders (Frenzied Gargling, Rabid Gargling, Gargling Runt, etc). These small spiders can be mezzed and have few hit points. When dead, you can loot a Venom Soaked Mandible which you will use for the poison combine.

Next, you need to hire the services of a rogue with 250 poison making skill, or find two more poisons for sale in the bazaar. The first is Susceptible Essence and is made by combining Ethereal Suspension, Nohope Moss x2, Sealed Poison Vial and Snowcap Amanita. The second poison you need is Mind Melt, which is made by combining Ethereal Suspension, Mt. Death Mineral Salts x2, Quicksilver and a Sealed Poison Vial.

Once you have the poisons, put your Venom Filled Scales, Venom Soaked Mandible, Susceptible Essence and Mind Melt in the mortar and pestle given to you by Sazan. Click combine to craft Bubbling Concoction, which is lore and no drop. Take this concoction back to Sazan in Neriak. At this point, if you are KOS to him you need to take an enchanter that can charm him to do the hand in.

Sazan K`Jartan takes the materials from you. Sniffing the sickly smell coming from the container, he nods and grabs a small vial from a pouch on his belt. He begins to mix the vial into the jar gently as beads of sweat begin to form on his forehead. Then, he smiles in triumph.

Sazan K`Jartan says 'I did it! I didn't think I would be able to but here I stand triumphant. I got the recipe from an associate of mine named Tisumie, beautiful lass, deadly with a blade. It took a fortune to get that recipe from her but it will be well worth it if we can accomplish our goal. Well now, all that remains is the delivery. Take this to Ryoz and he will give you further instructions. It will kill any Froglok in Norrath. That I guarantee!'

He will hand you back a Vial of Froglok's Bane, which you deliver to Ryoz.

Ryoz K`Tarn says 'You've done it! I'd thank the gods if I believed in them. Take this stone and it will allow you to travel amongst their ranks as one of them. Once you have infiltrated their city give this poisoned ale to Dar Strategist Guib. When the trolls hear of the strategist's death perhaps we can persuade them to leave our city and reclaim theirs. The stone will only work once so use it wisely. If you somehow make a mistake in using it return it to me and I will imbue it once again.'

Ryoz hands you A Mug of Poisoned Ale and a Froglok Stone.

At this point, if you were only after the stone you are done. You can use the stone at any time and return to Ryoz to get it recharged. If you are after the spell Illusion: Guktan, you need to do the last task for Ryoz: Head to the Rathe Mountains froglok town and poison Dar Strategist Guib. He is located at -1758, +103 (next to the tribute master).

You say, 'Hail, Dar Strategist Guib'

Dar Strategist Guib says 'Well hello there. I don't mean to be rude but I am trying to enjoy a short break alone and enjoy my favorite Ale.'

Give him the mug of poisoned ale.

Dar Strategist Guib says 'Thanks young one, that was just what I needed. Take this as a token of my gratitude. Perhaps you will join our ranks when you get older.'

You hand Guib the mug of ale laced with Froglok's Bane. He grins and downs the deadly syrup in one gulp.

Your faction standing with Protectors of Gukta got worse.
You gain experience!!

The strategist shouts in pain, then there is a thud as his armor clatters to the floor. As he falls to the floor, he gasps for help in an insidious whisper. A portal opens and three frogloks appear. The poison has taken it's victim swiftly just as you were told. You grin to yourself evilly as Guktan healers rush to the aid of their fallen comrade. From this day forward Gukta will forever be changed.

Dar Strategist Guib falls into a state of quiescence.

Yun Apprentice Healer says 'Sir Strategist, what has happened?'

Yun Apprentice Healer says 'The master healer will be here soon, just hang on Sir Strategist.'

Yun Apprentice Healer says 'Don't worry Sir Strategist, we shall save you.'

Yun Master Healer says 'Guib my old friend, who has done this to you?'

Yun Apprentice Healer says 'I cannot believe this, we must save him!'

Yun Master Healer bows his head in anguish as he covers the face of his longtime friend. 'This injustice will not go unpunished my friend.'

Yun Master Healer shouts 'How could this be?! What trickery could fool our strategist, the one with the wisdom that brought us victory over the trolls! How will we defend ourselves without him? We shall find the person who committed this atrocity, I swear it.'

All of the frogloks in the above dialog despawn. There is a negative faction hit to Protectors of Gukta when you assassinate him. You receive an Insignia of the Gukta Knights. With your new insignia, head back to Ryoz and give it to him.

You say, 'Hail, Ryoz K`Tarn'

Ryoz K`Tarn says 'Time grows short and my patience grows thin. Get back on task or you will regret it.'

Give him the insignia.

Ryoz K`Tarn says 'EXCELLENT! This is the best news I've received since those dirty trolls moved in. You have done so well, I may have use for you in the future. For now, I will grant you a spell from my personal library.'

You receive Spell: Illusion Guktan.

Spurned Initiate Bracer (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'Who dares to address me while I am clearly busy reviewing my daily research. I sure hope this is important Branaddar, I do not have time to waste on just any initate of House Spurned. Not a single day goes by that I do not come face to face with cannon fodder that is not even worthy of a headstone in our burial grounds. If you wish to [prove yourself] then I might be in a generous mood. '

You say, 'I wish to prove myself'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'I must admit this is not the first time I have heard someone say that nor will it be the last, however I am wiling to give you a chance. First thing we will need to do is get some clothes in your back if you wish to survive for any amount of time. If you are a young Wizard, Enchanter or Magician of House Spurned then I will present you with a [mystical sewing kit]. '

You say, 'what mystical sewing kit?'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'The Mystical Sewing kit that I have created is one that is able to fashion a material used for crafting clothes worn by all Initates of House Spurned. All that is required are Cloaks worn by Lightwalkers that plague our Forest to this very day. If you are to take my task and seek vegenence on this inferior group of Arcane lightwalkers you will pride your house along with gathering one of the [key ingredients] for your armor. I have heard rumor that they have tried to generate some kind of magic from a source shrouded by our forest. '

You say, 'what key ingredients?'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'You will be given different combination recipes for whichever armor piece you wish to craft. You will combine the specific items in the Mystical Sewing Kit that I will give to you when you are ready. After you have combined the correct items in your sewing kit you will fashion together a Bloodstained Cloth of the Spurned. At that time you will put the pattern that I will give you for each armor piece you request in the loom along with this cloth to craft your Armor piece. You say, 'I want to craft the Spurned Initiate Bracer'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'Branaddar, you will need to collect 1 Blood Drenched Cloak, 1 Black Mamba Skin, 1 Fire beetle Eye, 1 Short Beer. Combine these all in your Mystical Sewing Kit to create a Bloodstained Cloth of the Spurned that is used for creating your Bracer. Take this Bracer pattern that I have given you and place it in the closest loom along with your Bloodstained Cloth of the Spurned to craft a Bracer of the Spurned Initiate. You say, 'What final test?'

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'Well, I must say that I did not expect you to progress in your training at the rate you have. I also knew there was something that separated you from our other initiates. For your final test, I will need you to execute three specific Orc Chieftans in the Nektulos forest. Bring me the Prayer beads of all three Orc Chieftans. These Orc Chieftans are the heads of each Orc camp and will be heavily guarded, so I would suggest bringing any friends you have made that are somewhat proficient on the battlefield to assist you. They have caused my house many problems and it is time that they are put to rest. You have come too far to fail me now. I hope to see you soon...alive, that is.'

Head out into Nektulos Forest and kill three High Chiefs: Ferilsars, Wasolors, and Deroslan. Loot their beads and turn them in:

Morgalanth Tal`Raeloen says 'Your prowess both in the classroom and on the battlefield has certainly amazed me. Please take this relic that is only presented to the most dedicated initiates and carry it with pride. You have made your house very proud on this day.'

You gain experience.

The Realm of Heroes -- Neriak (Unsolved): You say, 'hail Vorshar the Despised'

Vorshar the Despised turns toward you with an icy glare. ''Hail Findim , I am Vorshar the Despised. I trust that you have important business with me? Why else would you disturb one such as I when it is so obvious that I am a being of great power. I was [selected by Innoruuk] himself to reside in the Realm of Heroes. I have sacrificed many a mortal in the eyes of hate and do not be so quick to assume that I would not be delighted to perform such a rite again.'' Vorshar the Despised curls his lip in a twisted, sinister smirk.

You say, 'why were you selected by innoruuk'

Vorshar the Despised says 'Why? You dare to ask one such as I the will of the Hateful Father?! However, you do seem to be quite lacking in the field of thought and intelligence, which would easily explain why you have not heard my name [nor of my legend].

You say, 'what about your legend'

Vorshar the Despised says 'I, my dear witless Dark Elf, was chosen by Innoruuk's hand during the uprising and fall of the [Combine Empire.] When the Teir`Dal had begun their decision to sign a treaty and join the Empire, I was one of the few who opposed siding with humans and the rest of the lowly creatures of this world.

You say, 'what of the combine era'

Vorshar the Despised narrows his eyes, blazing with hatred and a sinister amusement. ''The Combine Empire was a short-lived political structure of many of the world's races that fell shortly after my ascension. Innoruuk had found my faith and devotion to his word and his children so appealing, that he had chosen me to walk within the Hall of Heroes, although now, I have been [allowed a return]. To this moment, I know not why I have been given such a punishment as to again lay sight and ear to the grotesque, obtuse
creatures of Norrath.''

You say, 'why have you been allowed a return'

Vorshar the Despised says 'It is the Dark Father's will that I have returned to the prime realm. I do not question his judgement, nor shall I ever. His will is mine, and I do not question myself. The Dark Father wishes to expand his followers within the Realm of Heroes, and thus, I have been sent as more of a judge and jury for those who would [consider themselves worthy] of Innoruuk's recognition and divine favor.

You say, 'i consider myself worthy'

Vorshar the Despised looks at you a moment, his features emotionless beyond the searing impatience and hatred within his eyes. ''Then you have only furthered my faith in your utter lack in wit. Those who would gain favor with The Dark Father carry a symbol, a coin, that they must give to me for proper judgement. Without that coin, you are but another fool among a sea of imbeciles.''

You say, 'what coin'

You say, 'what symbol'

You say, 'what of the realm of heroes'
Tier`Dal Courier (Normal): Hail Seloxia Punox and he will say that he has a little test for the young warrior. He wants you to deliver a report to Ambassador K'rynn in the Ogre city of Oggok. Tell him you will venture to Oggok and he gives you a note. Take it to K'ryn (yes it is spelled differently) for some xp and change. He spawns near the Shaman's Guild, and is not always there. I am told that he spawns at 10:00 a.m. game time and stays for about 2 hours. He will then give you a report to deliver back to Seloxia. He will reward you with a minor item
Yegek's Test, Part 1 (Normal): Yegek B'Larin, an NPC beside the Arena area in the Neriak warrior's guild building, will give a bag with 6 slots when told "Seloxia Punox sent me". He instructs you to fill it with 3 bone chips and 3 fire beetle eyes, combine it, and return the bag (and also reminds you to keep your starting shortsword). Doing so results in pocket change, and a minor item (often a torch, but I got plenty of iron rations from this one also). You may then get part two of his quest.

You say, 'Hail, Yegek B`Larin'
Yegek B`Larin says 'Welcome. A brother of the Indigo you must be. Why else would one dare to roam the corridors of the Cauldron of Hate? You were most likely sent to speak with Yegek. If so, speak up and tell Yegek who [sent] you.'
You say, 'Seloxia Punox sent me'
Yegek B`Larin says 'You are new blood! I shall help you to face the dangers. For now, you must listen. First we must be sure to increase your skill by combat. Take this bag to the outside and fill it with three beetle eyes and three bone shards from the undead. Combine and return it. Then we shall reward you and continue. Do not lose the short sword you had upon entering our brotherhood. We just may need it later on.'

You receive "Empty Bag"

Combining 3 Bone Chips and 3 Fire Beetle Eyes it becomes: Bag of Eyes n Bones

Upon handing it in:

Yegek B`Larin says 'Very nice work. Here are some provisions. Now are you [ready for the second test]?'

A chanter can use alliance on Guard Klan to get faction up.
Yegek's Test, Part 2 (Normal): When Part 1 has been completed, Yegek may ask if you are ready for the [second test]. If you say you are, he will request your starting No Drop shortsword (you DID keep it, right?). Give it to him, and a Teir'Dal Coward appears in the arena. You have to fight this NPC to complete Quest #2. Note that Yegek says you must do it without a blade, but you can use a weapon. He is hard to kill, but can be done by levels 4 and above. The easier way is to enlist the help of a high level player and let him kill him and then you can loot him and get his head.

You say, 'I am ready for the second test!'

Yegek B`Larin says 'You will now learn what happens to those undesirables who once called themselves Indigo. But first, you will hand me your sword which was given to you by the Indigo Brotherhood. This battle must be fought without a blade. Show us your strength!'

Give Yegek B`Larin your Short Sword* (no drop)

Yegek B`Larin says 'Those young warriors who dared to run from battle are now our fodder. They shall help us teach you that sometimes you must kill your own kind. In the center of the arena we have set a coward. Show me you can kill your own when required and bring me his head. Do not grant him mercy nor allow him to flee.'

Teir'Dal Coward will then spawn in the center of the arena. Proceed to kill him and loot a Teir'Dal Head.

Give Yegek B`Larin the Teir'Dal Head

Yegek B`Larin says 'You have performed greatly. A coward deserves no pity or mercy. You will be a fine addition to our house. Let us replace your weapon with this, a sullied two handed sword! The weapon of a young brother of this hall. It is a finer weapon than your first. Go and spread the hate of Innoruuk.'
Your faction standing with Indigo Brotherhood has been adjusted by 15.
Your faction standing with Emerald Warriors has been adjusted by -2.
Your faction standing with Steel Warriors has been adjusted by -1.
Your faction standing with Primordial Malice has been adjusted by -30.
