Last updated: Thu Mar 16 00:00:01 2006
Ashen Bone Bow (Normal): Selzar L`Crit says 'What have we here? Another hopeful member of the House of the Ebon Mask? You've got much to learn before you will be of much use to our House or the secret operations that support both the thrones of our King and Queen. First you need to outfit yourself in a suit of [armor], Branaddar. '

You say, 'what armor?'

Selzar L`Crit says 'Seek Kanthu M'Rekkor and give him this request parchment. When you have outfitted yourself in a suit of armor return to the House of the Ebon Mask and I will grant you [another task]. '

You say, 'what other task?'

Selzar L`Crit says 'Ah, you are eager to advance further within the House of the Ebon Mask. Although it is my duty to aid your training, do not allow your arrogance to blind you to your lowly position in our House. I can see that you have not yet learned to temper the use of your tongue. Your next task is to assist the construction of a [weapon] and [bow] worthy of being wielded by a Rogue of the House of the Ebon Mask. '

You say, 'what bow?'

Selzar L`Crit says 'The Halfling Druids from Rivervale that frequent the ancient druid ruins in the Nektulos Forest are guarded by Leatherfoot Warriors. The peck druids perform the rituals that they hope will prevent Innoruuks corruption from spreading deeper into the Forest and the lands beyond. Should you slay the peck warriors guarding the druids and obtain a Leatherfoot Short Bow, take the bow, a Black Mamba Skin, and a Lock of Zombie Hair to Andara C'Luzz at The Bleek Fletcher in the Neriak Commons near the headquarters of the Indigo Brotherhood. ' Reward: Ebon Short Bow

You say, 'what materials?'

Kanthu M`Rekkor says 'Many species of dangerous creatures, the restless dead, and halfling invaders from Rivervale inhabit the Nektulos Forest. You must defeat these creatures and halflings in order to obtain the materials. The materials you seek depend on the piece of armor you desire. Do you desire to craft [gloves], [boots], a [bracer], a [coif], [leggings], [sleeves], or a [tunic]? '

Ulraz S`Lon says 'The bones of the dead that dig from their graves at the [Ultricle] in the Nektulos Forest have been strengthened by the minerals and ashen soil. Return some of these walking dead to the rest they have abandoned and bring to me four Petrified Femurs.'

Off to Ultricle. In the end Petried Femurs dropped from "A Decaying Councilman." I had to kill 76 to get the 4 I needed. Back to Ulraz to hand them in:

Ulraz S`Lon fashions the petrified femurs into a shield frame. 'This will be the frame of your new shield. Return now again to the Nektulos Forest, in the gray ashen region of the forest near the Lavastorm mountains the basilisks often come down from the fiery peaks to lay their eggs in the ashen soil. Basilisk hatchlings can be found there as they make their way towards the warmer interior of the mountains. Hunt these basilisk hatchlings and gather two Basilisk Hatchling Skins. Once this is done take the skins and frame to Medron Y'Lask at the Furrier Royale.'

Medron Y`Lask stretches and fastened the basilisk skins across the shield frame and attaches a leather strap and grip to the back of the shield.

Simply give him the request parchment and he will instruct you further. When you have outfitted yourself in a suit of armor return to the Lodge of the Dead and I will grant you [another task].'

Take the Parchment he gives you to Krivn S`Tai in the Blue Flame (BF) in Neriak Commons (/loc?). When you hand him the parchment he will give you a Mail Creation Kit, an 8-slot container. Follow the dialogue (dialogue needed) using the appropriate [Key words] until Krivn lists the types of armor you can make. Then ask him about each piece to find out the recipe:

You say, 'What tunic?'

Krivn S`Tai says 'To craft a Bone Mail Tunic you require four [silk thread], a medium quality wolf skin, a calcified sternum, and a calcified ribcage. Once you have the necessary components combine them in your Bone Mail Kit with this Tattered Tunic Pattern.'

Need dialogue for "What silk thread?" Reward: Bone Mail Breastplate

Bone Mail Weapon (Normal): Visit Ulraz S`Lon in the Lodge of the Dead, Neriak 3rd Quarter. He is one of the ShadowKinght trainers in the center room on the first floor of the building.

You say, 'Hail, Ulraz S`Lon'

Ulraz S`Lon says 'So you are the next pathetic maggot I have the displeasure of training to be a useful Shadowknight of the Lodge of the Dead. First you must get yourself outfitted in a suit of [armor], those rags you wear can not even contain the stench of your miserable hide and will do no good protecting it from the edge of an enemies blade. '

You say, 'what armor?'

Ulraz S`Lon says 'Seek Krivn S'Tai in the Commoner quarter of Neriak and give him this request parchment. Krivn S'Tai has been paid in advance by the Lodge of the Dead for the requested service. Take the Parchment he gives you to Krivn S'Tai in the Blue Flame (BF) in Neriak Commons. When you hand him the parchment he will give you an 8 slot combinable container ('Mail Creation Kit'). Follow the dialog, using the appropriate [Key words] until Krivn lists the types of armour you can make. Then ask him about each piece to find out the recipe:

You say, 'another task?'

Ulraz S`Lon says 'Ah, you are eager to advance further within the Lodge of the Dead. Although it is my duty to aid your training, do not allow your arrogance to blind you to your lowly position amongst the Queens most loyal subjects. Your next task is to assist the construction of a [weapon] and [shield] worthy of being wielded by a Shadowknight of the Lodge of the Dead.'

You say, 'what weapon?'

Ulraz S`Lon says 'Beyond the mouth of Neriak lies the Nektulos Forest. There the walking dead can be found digging their way from the ashen soil of the [Ultricle], their flesh cured and hardened and bones strengthened from the minerals and volcanic ash in which they rested in death. Return some of these undead to the rest they have abandoned and bring to me some Leathered Zombie Flesh, a Petrified Humerus bone, and a Petrified Rib bone. ' Reward: Bone Hilted Long Sword

Book of Turmoil (Normal): In the Library at the 3rd gate is a scribe named Lokar To`Biath.

Complete the Red Wine Quest and he will mention his sister and her [vow]. If you ask Lokar To'Biath, "What vow?" He says a 70 gold tithe to Innoruuk may help.

When you give him the 70 gp he will give you the note to his sister Rysva To'Biath, who is a female barkeep in the Blind Fish Tavern. When you find her, you can ask her about being a scribe of dal and about the book of turmoil.

Give her the note from her brother and she gives you a note written in Tier`Dal, the note says that she will give you the book if you return to her the head of her brother, because he has betrayed her secret, and the note.

Her brother is the bartender upstairs named Marenkor. Go back and kill him and take his head and the note back to the Rysva.

This quest is one of the books in the Tome of Ages Quest.

Need all dialogues, modern faction hits, /loc of quest mobs, contents of note, etc. Reward: Glowing Torch

Bottle of Red Wine (Normal): Find Lokar To`biath in the library of the 3rd Gate at +895, -1245.

After hailing him he will say that he is a 'Scribe of Innoruuk'.

If you ask him if he is a 'Scribe of Dal' he will seal his lips and only a bottle of Red Wine from The Blind Fish will open them. Give him a bottle of Red Wine (It can be from anywhere, not just the Blind Fish) and he will reward you with low exp, faction, and the key words for the 'Book of Turmoil' quest.

This is one of the best quests to gain faction with the Dark Bargainers (Neriak Residents).

This quest will eventually max faction with the Dread Guards (at indifferent if you started worse than this), although the Dark Bargainers will continue to improve, even when already warm.

Need all dialogues, current faction hits, etc.
Death of Lyda Nasin (Normal): You sometimes get this after doing the rogue take quest. She then gives you a mission to kill Lyda Nasin, the daughter of the Owner of the Seafarers Roost. She spawns on the second floor of the Seafarers in the morning, however Dark elves are KOS if they enter the bar (with the new ability to move and stay hidden perhaps the thieves can now complete this one...) In any case an easier way to kill her is to hire someone to go upstairs and tell her that a ship has docked. She will come outside to the pier where she can be killed. You need Amiably or better to get this quest

Need exact faction required, dialogues, current faction hits, locations, spawn information, etc. Reward: Cinctured Whip

Exterminate the Vermin (Neriak 3rd Gate) (Normal): Exterminator Gilea is located near the pool between cleric guild and the gate to the final area.

You say, 'Hail, Exterminator Gilea'

Exterminator Gilea says 'Hello, Malcore. I was hired to eradicate all these pesky rodents running around the city, but there are too many of them. If you could help me by bringing back four of their whiskers I should have a few spare coins for you.'

There are many of "a rodent" running around, and they occasionally drop "rat whiskers."

Exterminator Gilea says 'Well there are still many rodents around but I will honor my deal. Here are your coins. Now I must get back to work.'
Your faction standing with Dreadguard Inner got better.
Your faction standing with Dark Bargainers got better.
Your faction standing with Indigo Brotherhood got better.
Your faction standing with Primordial Malice got worse.
You gain experience!!
Fire Beetle Eyes (Normal): See the man at the top of the guild and tell him "I will collect fire beetle eyes" and he will give you a box.

Fill the box with ten eyes from the fire beetles in the newbie area. Combine the box and give it to him.

Need all dialogues, /loc and name of quest NPC, name of box, name of combined results, current faction hits (if any).
Honeybugger Assassin (Normal): This starts in the Rogue Guild

Pazin Punox wants Lil Honeybugger dead and promises a "king's reward" for her head. She lives in Misty Thicket in the Halfling territory just outside of town. Unfortunately, she rooms with her big brother Joogl Honeybugger who never seems to leave her side, and he is probably around level 10 or so. Since you need to be below this level to get the quest, you had better get some help in killing her. When you kill Lil, she drops a halfling head (which is what you're supposed to bring back to Paziu Puno for your "kings reward"), a bandage (so you can reverse the faction hit you take from killing Lil by giving it to Joogl later), and a Case of Jum Jum Juice (lore item)(which I guess you can give to the treant). Here's where this quest gets funny. After sneaking/hiding through Rivervale and making the run back to Neriak, you need to give the halfling head to Pazin Punox. He then tells you something to the effect of "Foolish young elf. This was no contract from King Naythox. I wanted Lil Honeybugger killed before she gave birth to my child. Only a naive dark elf would set foot in Halfling territory. Here's your great reward, garbage from other guild exploits."
Initiate Dark Priest's Armguards (Normal): You say, 'Hail, High Priestess Alexandrian'

High Priestess Alexandrian says 'Greetings child, what business do you have here? I'm sorry but I will only deal with Clerics that are willing to prove their loyalty to Innoruuk. I cannot deal with every single heathen that feels it is necessary to bid me a good day. If you are a [Cleric of Innoruuk] I might be able to aid you in your training. '

You say, 'I am a Cleric of Innoruuk'

High Priestess Alexandrian says 'Is that so Branaddar. Well from the looks of you I wouldn?t say you are much of anything yet. However, if you have the willingness and determination to serve your God then there might just be more hope for you then I would have thought. Obviously, to move forward in your training, you will need to shield yourself from your enemies and from the elements. I believe I have something that could help you if you are still [interested in proving yourself]. '

You say, 'I am interested in proving myself'

High Priestess Alexandrian says 'Well I must say that I am impressed by your eagerness to learn, however, you are not the first and will not be the last I am sure that has sworn devotion to our Lord Innoruuk. Lets just hope you don't end up in the burial grounds where many promising young ones before you have found their resting place. If you are ready to begin gathering items to fashion your very own Initiate Darkpriest Armor then I will present you with a [magical relic]. '

You say, 'what magical relic?'

High Priestess Alexandrian says 'I have a box that I have been keeping for quite some time and have been waiting to present it to someone like yourself. Someone that I had faith would be strong enough to use it's power to their benefit. This magical box can be used to refine certain metals into a magical compound that is used in crafting Initiate Darkpriest armor pieces. I have the molds necessary to craft Initiate Darkpriest [Helms], [Bracers], [Boots], [Armguards], [Greaves], [Gauntlets] and [Breastplates]. However there are some [important items] that you will need to collect before the molds will be of any use to you. One thing to keep in mind is that I suggest you craft your Breastplate last due to the difficulty of obtaining the items needed for that specific recipe. '

You say, 'what important items?'

High Priestess Alexandrian says 'There are certain items that will need to be gathered in our great city of Neriak along with many different things gathered outside in the Forest of Nektulos, where most of your training will take place. The most important component that you will need to collect while adventuring in the forest are Helms that are only worn by Priests of Rodcet Nife. These vile creatures have set up camp in the forest from what I have heard and it is your responsibility to find and execute them. These helms will be your most important component that you will gather because it is used in all [armor recipes] as the metal that you will forge your armor with. '

You say, 'what armor recipes?'

High Priestess Alexandrian says 'Ah of course , I almost forgot that you will need to know what items to combine in the Dark Blessed Box that I presented you with. Simply tell me the armor piece that you wish to craft and I will give you the list of items that you will need to combine, along with the applicable mold. For example, should you want to craft a Helm first you would say, I want to craft a Initiate Darkpriest`s Helm. High Priestess Alexandrian says 'Take this mold Branaddar. You will need to place this in a Forge along with the correct Refined sheet of Holy Metal to craft your Initiate Darkpriest's Greaves. The correct Refined sheet of Holy Metal for these greaves can be fashioned by combining 4 Helms of the Lifebringer, 2 Spiderling Eyes, 2 Deathfist Legionairre Scalps and 1 bottle of kalish. ' Reward: Greaves of the Darkpriest

Initiate Dark Priest's Helm (Normal): You say, 'Hail, High Priestess Alexandrian'

Please remember that the exact items must be combined in exact quantities in the box or the infusion will not take place. After you have combined together the items necessary to infuse your metal the correct way, you will need to take the Refined sheet of Holy Metal to the nearest forge and combine it with the correct mold to yield your armor piece. '

You say, 'I want to craft a Initiate Darkpriest's Helm'

High Priestess Alexandrian says 'A Helm you say Branaddar? This should be a good test for you to see if you are able to gather the correct items and annihilate those disgusting clerics that follow that worthless God Rodcet Nife. Seek out 1 Helm of the Lifebringer, 1 Low Quality Wolf Skin, 1 Black Mamba Skin and 1 Short Ale. After you have combined these in your Dark Blessed Box take your Refined sheet of Holy Metal along with this mold to the nearest forge to craft your very own Initiate Darkpriest`s Helm. ' Reward: Helm of the Darkpriest

(Master Whopal spawns at -927 , 1227 at a Totem Pole just west of the bridge near the shore. His placeholder is Questor Dunden.) Slay him and you will get a Halfling Head.

Return to Neriak Commons and give the head to Draxiz. He will give you a mask, which looks like a head, that will give you 1 guise of halfling.

Now head down to West Commons and look for an npc halfling called Wallin Slyfoot. He wanders a bit, but usually ends up on the path near Kitchor. When you find him active the illusion spell and tell him that you will assist him and he will give you a letter for Master Whoopal (Hehe..he's dead)

Now return to Neriak Commons and give Draxiz this note. This will cause the Leatherfoot spies to spawn. They spawn in a small room behind the waterfall near the PoD. Kill them (there may be two) and one of them will drop another Halfling Head.

Return to Neriak 3rd Gate and take this head and your Initiate Symbol to Ithvol. He will reward you with your Disciple Symbol

Note: Dealing with Draxis will lower your Dead Faction. It is a small hit but if you are Dub, then think twice before doing this part.

Travel to Steamfont and talk to Ennixy Frennor (a gnome at 1350, -850). You say, 'Hate be my guide' Ennixy will ask you to slay a paladin named Crusader Swiftmoon. He will spawn right near her. After you slay him he will drop the missing crate and his head.

Travel back to Lesser Faydark and take the crate back to Dragoon Szorn and he will give you a Voucher of Services Rendered.

Travel back to Neriak 3rd Gate and give to Ithvol the Voucher, the head of Crusader Swiftmoon, the receipt for the provisions, and your Disciple Symbol of Innoruuk. Ithvol will then give you your Regent Symbol of Innoruuk.

If you choose to help, he will give you a box which you need to fill with 10 fire beetle eyes and combine.

He asks for Kerran Fire Beetle Eyes but eyes from the ones in Nektulos Forest will do just as well. When you hand the combined box in you get a few coppers and he mentions [other components].
Mammoth Tusks (Normal): When you ask him about the other components, he then tells you to get 4 kerran fire beetle eyes and a bull elephant tusk.

There are no bull elephant tusks in the game. In order to do this quest, you give him a Mammoth tusk instead.

Mammoths are found way over in Everfrost and the Kerran Beetle Eyes are found in Erud's Crossing, so you will have to do some hiking to get him his stuff.

Also, Bull Elephants, which are found in South Karana, do occasionally drop mammoth tusts as well (who knows why).

When you give him the Mammoth tusk and the combined box of Kerra Island beetle eyes, you will get some experience and a reward. I received level 12 necro spells each of the three times I did the quest.

He then tells you that you seem to be of sufficient level to assist [The Dead]. Here the quest series is broken, and I could not get him to tell me his third quest.

Verant has confirmed that this ring no longer drops. Reward: Ring of the Dead

Scroll of G`Han (Unsolved): In neriak 3rd gate on the top floor of the lodge of the dead. You ask Noxhil V'Sek "who is Innoruuk". He then mentions the Scroll of G'han, was scribed long ago by the great necromancer G'han, with which they can communicate directly with Innoruuk. However the 2nd half of the scroll was apparantly stollen by a rogue hired by the Koada'Dal and now lies within Felwithe. I am not sure where this goes. Of note it that you can get a scroll valued by Innoruuk in the Visiting Princess Quest in Najena. This might be part of that quest.
Sir Lindeal's Testimony (Normal): You say, 'Hail, Loveal S`Nez'

Loveal S`Nez says 'What is this I see before me? A would-be hero of the Dead? You reek of false bravado. I have seen others much stronger than you meet their fate at the end of a blade. I see no reason to continue our conversation. How can one such as you assist with my [delegated duties]?'

You say, 'What delegated duties?'

Loveal S`Nez says 'Why do you ask? I know why. Glory has captured your affections. Those who seek glory find death. Still, you may be of some use. Before I assign you a task, I must be assured of your power. I require you to [perform a test].'

You say, 'I will perform a test.'

Loveal S`Nez says 'In the Lavastorm Mountain Range there have been sightings of a paladin, one Sir Lindeal. He has compromised our routes between.. well, that is none of your concern. All you need to know is that this paladin of the Temple of Marr must be sent to his everlasting life. Do so and prove your worth to us. I await your proof. Use no assistance. If you are truly his equal then I shall know. I know all.'

Travel now to Lavastorm Mountains and find Sir Lindeal.

You say, 'Hail, Sir Lindeal'

The Rogue Take (Normal): Eolorn needs you to take message to the dark elf lady on the shores of freeport (swim south from the docks around the corner - better like sharks if you go on this one). The message is regarding receiving the take of the loot from local rogues. She tells you that the loot is in a strongbox, and that the last courrier was killed by sharks before he could deliver it. If you swim off shore a little, you will find a locked chest. Pick it up and bring it back to Eolorn for some coin and a minor item.
Thex Mallet (Normal): Note: this is extremely difficult factionwise for anyone other than a dark elf necromancer or shadowknight.

At the end of the previous quest, you heard this:

Loveal S`Nez says 'So you have succeeded where others have failed. You show promise. Take this then. You shall be a valuable asset to the Dead and soon this shall be of value to one so great. This will help you on your way. Are you still interested in my [appointed tasks]?'

You say, 'I am interested in your appointed tasks.'

Loveal S`Nez says 'Very well. You have gained the appropriate power. I require you to journey to the Commonlands and seek out Kizdean Gix. He is a member of a very important force. Tell him 'Utalk Adarev Otcin'. Remember this password.'

You say, 'What is the Thex Mallet?'

Loveal S`Nez says 'All you can know is that the Thex Mallet is desired by our Queen. If we are not successful in its retrieval, it will be our heads which adorn her trophy room. We have learned its location and believe it to be broken into three separate pieces.'

You say, 'Who is Queen Cristanos Thex?'

Loveal S`Nez says 'The Queen of the Teir'Dal is the most powerful of all. It is she who should sit on the throne and not King Naythox. The Dead are her humble servants. We await the day when she shall finally take her rightful position as ruler of Neriak.'

You say, 'Who is King Naythox Thex?'

Loveal S`Nez says 'A competent and powerful warrior, but a warrior nonetheless. He has suppressed the true glory of the Teir'Dal. Perhaps it is time for a new ruler of Neriak.'

Travel now to the West Commonlands and find Kizdean Gix near the tollbooth.

You say, 'Hail, Kizdean Gix'

Kizdean Gix says 'If you have business then out with it!! If not, then please be gone. I have little time to waste on chitchat!'

You say, 'Utalk Adarev Otcin.'

Kizdean Gix says 'You speak the words of the Dead. You must be the assistance Loveal was to send. You must work quickly! Inside Befallen are the three pieces to the [Thex Mallet] which are to be returned to Loveal. Find Hubard L'rodd. He was my assistant. Give him this note and he should have information.'

You receive "a tattered cloth note."

You say, 'What Thex Mallet?'
You say, 'What about the Thex Mallet?'
You say, 'What is the Thex Mallet?'
You say, 'Where is the Thex Mallet?'
You say, 'Where is Befallen?'
You say, 'Who is Hubard L'rodd?'

No response to any of these.

Travel to Befallen. Inside, near the well, you will find Skeleton Lrodd. Give him the note.

skeleton Lrodd says 'Search!! Find Windstream. Find the mallet!! One. Two. Three.'

Handing in the note will spawn Cmdr Windstream on level 3. Kill him, and he will drop the "Mallet Stem."

Cmdr Windstream and the other Befallen necromancers are now on Burning Dead faction.

Journey back to Neriak 3rd Gate and give the mallet to Loveal S`Nez.

Loveal S`Nez says 'Oh how grand it is!! Look at it!! I feel the power trembling within. Who would have thought such an item would be abandoned? You have performed supremely. Queen Cristanos shall reward me greatly and I shall reward you greatly. Here is my weapon from years past.. the Reaper of the Dead. I believe it has one soul still trapped within.'

Talorial D`Estalian says 'Very well child. There is an ancient tome of Necromancy called the Writ of the Fallen. I have kept the binding of this sacred tome for a very long time however I have never searched for the pages that form the writ. If you are able to recover the 4 pages of the writ I have faith that you posses the power to bind them to this empty tome that I carry. Seek out these pages and bind them to this tome. Talorial D`Estalian says 'On what grounds do you think you are welcome to address me like that vermin? I am afraid you will have to prove yourself to me before I can treat you with any respect. Do you feel that you are [worthy] to stand before me? '

You say, 'I feel I am worthy'

Talorial D`Estalian says 'Very well then, you are lucky that I have been looking for some sort of an apprentice to help me out in gathering some hides from those nasty halflings. I did have a young one as yourself working for me before but unfortunately they didn't work out as you can see by looking at this autopsy table. I would hope that you will complete my [tasks], for your sake. '

You say, 'What tasks?'

Talorial D`Estalian says 'If you are willing to [gather some items] that are needed for specific halfling hides I can offer you with the resources necessary to fashion your own armor. '

You say, 'Gather some items?'

Talorial D`Estalian says 'Excellent Vinamar. Please take this Old Enchanted Tailors Kit. It contains magical power that is able to fashion specific components into a magical version of whatever the core material is. If you are a Necromancer you will need to gather halfling hides that have been infused with many different elements that you will collect and combine in this box. Simply tell me what pattern you [want] and I will present you with the recipe necessary for [Gloves], [Robe], [Trousers], [Sleeves], [Skullcap], [Bracers] and [slippers]. I would recommend you fashion your Robe last due to the difficulty and complex nature that is involved with finding the items necessary. '

You say, 'I want the Trousers pattern'

Talorial D`Estalian says 'To make your own Unholy Silk Trousers you will need to collect many items in the forest along with a few in town. The halfling hide that you will need along with a pattern to craft together these Trousers will need to be infused with 4 Halfling Hides, 2 Bone Chips, 3 Spiderling Silks and 1 Raw Bamboo. All of these items will be collected in the field with the exception of the Raw Bamboo which can be bought in town. ' Reward: Unholy Silk Trousers
