Full Walkthrough

Step One: Obtain the Orb of Frozen Water

Shmendrik Lavawalker can be found at loc (+3600, 0) in Lake Rathetear. He has a spawn timer of three hours.

You say, 'Hail, Shmendrik Lavawalker.'

Shmendrik Lavawalker says 'Hail, good [your name here] !! Be wary near the waters of Lake Rathe! The Riptide goblin king, Lord Bergurgle has been commanding his minions to murder and rob all who come near it! I am here seeking his death but I am afraid I am no match for all of his subjects. I shall reward you greatly for the death of Lord Bergurgle. I simply ask that you bring me his crown as proof.'

Seek out Lord Bergurgle (loc 2800, 150 in underwater cave). He is a Cleric, and a rare spawn on a 28 minute PH spawn timer.

  • Kill him and loot Lord Bergurgle's Crown

  • Take the crown to Shmendrik Lavawalker

Shmendrik Lavawalker shoves the crown into a scorch marked leather satchel and cackles uncontrollably as madness twists his features and flames dance in his eyes. You have reduced the Riptides into chaos! Without a king to keep them in control they will ravage the settlements surrounding this lake! After the slaughter I shall return and easily burn the remainder of the villages and fishing shanties to the ground! None shall escape the fires of the Tyrant!!'

  • You'll receive Oil of Fennin Ro in exchange for the crown

Natasha Whitewater spawns in a hut nearby and walks out.

Natasha Whitewater shouts, 'The Triumvirate of Water has decreed your fate, Shmendrik Lavawalker!! I am here to deliver said fate!!'

Shmendrik Lavawalker says, 'I'll slay you like I slaughtered your fellow missionaries! The Triumvirate can not decide the fate of a follower of the Tyrant!!'

Natasha Whitewater says, 'Enough!! Your existence has come to an end!'

Natasha Whitewater says, 'This conflict has been destined by the waters of the Triumvirate!'

  • Kill Shmendrik Lavawalker

Upon Shmendrik Lavawalker's death The Spirit of Flame spawns and attacks Natasha Whitewalker. It is a Warrior, and 40th level. It has no special attacks.

  • Kill the Spirit of Flame before it kills Natasha Whitewalker or else you'll have to get another crown to start this event again

  • Loot the Damaged Goblin Crown from The Spirit Flame

    You say, 'Hail, Natasha Whitewater.'

Natasha Whitewater says 'The Riptide goblins must have their crown returned to them. If you would be so kind as to give me the crown I will make sure that it reaches them. Hopefully they are capable enough to repair the damage that has been done to it.'

  • Give her the Damaged Goblin Crown.

Natasha Whitewater says 'I will have this crown returned to the Riptide Goblins immediately! Should you ever come across an Erudite named Omat Vastsea, give him this sea shell. The waters of Norrath shimmer with awareness of your deeds here today!'

  • Receive an Ornate Sea Shell (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell I).

Head to the paradise area of Timorous Deep and find Omat Vastsea (loc -11565, -2235; cave entrance loc -11530, -3728).

    You say, 'Hail, Omat Vastsea.'

Omat Vastsea bows deeply. 'I have been expecting you. The waters have foretold your arrival. I am High Priest Omat Vastsea of the Triumvirate missionaries. Please feel free to enjoy the quiet solitude of this inn.'

You say, 'Who are the Triumvirate?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Triumvirate of Water are: E'ci, the mistress of ice; Tarew Marr, the lord of water; and Povar, the formless master of vapor and mist. We Triumvirate missionaries are granted great divinatory powers and wisdom through our devotion to the Triumvirate and must defend the waters of Norrath from the ravages of the Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro.'

You say, 'Who is Fennin Ro?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Tyrant of Fire, Fennin Ro, is the merciless lord of fire in all its forms. The rivalry between the tyrant and the Triumvirate is as old as the gods themselves and is an eternal battle. We witness the struggle every moment of our lives as the Oasis of Marr succumbs to the heat of the surrounding desert and is replenished by the swelling of the Lifire River. That fragile balance between the elements must be maintained but the Plasmatic Priesthood threatens that balance.'

You say, 'Who are the Plasmatic Priesthood?'

Omat Vastsea says 'The Plasmatic Priesthood are worshipers of the Tyrant of Fire, but they have been driven mad by their fanaticism and have forgotten the importance of the balance. In their madness they would set the whole world aflame, leaving nothing but lifeless ash.'

  • Hand him the Ornate Sea Shell.

Omat Vastsea says 'So, you are a friend of Natasha's? That is good to see. She is a very wise and gifted woman. The Riptide goblins have adopted a new king but are still in a vulnerable state until his subjects accept his rule. The Plasmatic Priesthood is aware of the weakened state of the Riptides and has convinced the Fire Peak goblins to strike against them. Although I do not agree with the mannerisms or actions of any goblin clan, such a war would be detrimental to all who are caught in its path. Lord Gimblox of the Fire Peak clan has been meeting with a member of the Plasmatic Priesthood in the Temple of Solusek Ro. Locate the Plasmatic Priest, hand him this statue to hinder his powers, then eliminate him and bring me his robe.'

  • Receive Coral Statue of Tarew Marr.

You must now head to the Temple of Solusek Ro. Take the Coral Statue to a seeker. He can be found at loc (+326, +38, +29). He spawns at 9 A.M. and despawns at 9 P.M. game time.

  • Upon giving him the statue, he will attack.

A seeker shakes violently as his hand closes on the coral statue and flames dance in the depths of his eyes! The statue begins to emit a reddish glow then shatters in a burst of fire and smoke! The flames in the plasmatic priest's eyes vanish with the explosion and only madness remains! 'The Triumvirate thinks that destroying my spirit of flame will stop me?!! I will kill you all now, the goblins will continue to war, and when my spirit is restored I will ensure that Ixiblat Fer consumes all of Norrath in his flames!!'

A Seeker will now change into a Plasmatic Priest and start attacking you. He is a 55th level Cleric with about 12k hitpoints. It is recommended you bring him to the zone or pull him out in the hallway so that any AE spells he casts do not aggro other NPCs.

  • Kill him and loot the Blood Soaked Plasmatic Robe.

Now head to Solusek's Eye and kill Lord Gimblox, loc (-796, -366). He is 30th level and a rare spawn on a 19 minute timer with PH.

  • Kill him and loot Lord Gimblox's Signet Ring.

Head back to Timorous Deep and see Omat Vastsea.

  • Give Omat Vastsea the Blood Soaked Plasmatic Robe.

Omat Vastsea says, 'You have proven yourself to be one who is willing to take responsibility for his own actions. Such a trait is desired by all deities to be present in their faithful. I pray that you had the wisdom to slay Lord Gimblox as well as the Plasmatic Priest in order to prevent further advancement in the incursion against the Riptides. Priestess Natasha awaits inside the inn for Lord Gimblox's ring, make haste for she is a busy women and will depart soon.'

  • Receive Orb of Frozen Water.

  • Step Two: Obtain the Orb of Clear Water

After giving Omat Vastea the Plasmatic Robe, Natasha Whitewater will have spawned nearby

  • Give her Lord Gimblox's Ring.

Natasha Whitewater says, 'Thank you for your services thus far. The Triumvirate missionaries are, so far, impressed. However, there is yet another threat rising from the Plasmatic Priesthood that may have dire effects on all of Norrath if it is not stopped. An Iksar member of the Triumvirate missionaries has discovered that the Plasmatic Priesthood has somehow convinced the sarnak summoners of Chardok to assit them in summoning Ixilblat Fer to Norrath. Take this shell to Naxton Deepwater in the Burning Woods so that she knows I have sent you. We ask that you return with the Sceptre of Ixiblat Fer as well as evidence to show that the Plasmatic Priesthood is dealing with sarnaks. High Priest Omat will await your return. I Must depart now. I pray for your success.'

  • Receive Ornate Sea Shell (Item Lore: Ornate Sea Shell II).

You must take this Sea Shell to Naxot Deepwater in the Burning Woods, loc (+3400, -2150).

    You say, 'Hail, Naxot Deepwater.'

Naxot Deepwater says, 'Beware these woods! The sarnak claim this land as their own and wicked creatures walk beneath the burning foliage.'

Naxot Deepwater says, 'Praise the Triumvirate! Natasha sent you just in time! Those twisted sarnak summoners are summoning Ixiblat Fer as we speak! We must stop Ixiblat Fer while he is still weak or all of Norrath may be set aflame! Please do me one more favor, should I perish to this beast of fire. Give this note to Natasha when you next see her, and if you should perish and I survive, I will make sure the waters never forget your reflections of your deeds this day.'

  • Receive Message to Natasha.

Ixiblat Fir spawns at loc (-2000, +1500). He is a 62nd level gigantic Fire Elemental, and hits for 575 damage with about 32000 hit points in total. He also casts an AE fire spell for 300.

  • Kill Ixiblat Fir and loot the Sceptre of Ixiblat Fir.

You're now due in Chardok and need to kill Overking Bathezid. He is located deep in Chardok in the royals area. He is 63rd level and takes about two good groups to kill. He casts an AE spell for 500 and gates.

  • Loot a Singed Scroll off his corpse

    It reads:
'Greetings Overking Bathezid. The time has come for you to return the boon owed to me from so long ago. I have need of your most powerful summoners to bring Ixiblat Fer into the mortal realm and rain fire upon my enemies. Your old friend, Zordak Ragefire.'

  • Take the Singed Scroll and Sceptre of Ixiblat Fir to Omat Vastsea.

Omat Vastsea says, 'I commend you on your success over the fire elemental lord, Ixiblat Fer. The fact that the Plasmatic Priesthood has mustered up the power to summon such a being means drastic actions must be taken to stop the fanatic cult of Fennin Ro. I wonder what kind of favor Zordak Ragefire performed for the sarnak summoners to convince them to assist in the ritual that brought forth Ixiblat Fer. The dragon Iksar hybrid abominations are not beings who ally with others easily. All I have seen in my divinations of the High Plasmatic Priest are riddles, and signs that the one who slays him may be awarded an Orb of the Triumvirate. If you are the one whom my visions foretell, then seek Zordak Ragefire and bring me his heart.'

  • Receive the Orb of Clear Water.

  • Step Three: Obtain the Orb of Vapor

After giving Omat Vastsea the Scroll and Sceptre, Natasha Whitewater will spawn nearby. Give her the Message to Natasha.

Natasha Whitewater lowers her head in mourning and whispers a prayer. It is a shame that fate has decided one so young and from such a background should perish, but we must not attempt to change what was destined to be. Priestess Naxot sacrificed herself selflessly so that others may be spared the horrors Ixiblat would have brought to Norrath. May the waters of Norrath forever remember her reflection. I thank you for delivering Naxot's message to me and give you this pearl imbued with the power of the Triumvirate. Should you find Zordak Ragefire, speak with him before all else then hold this pearl before him. When the pearl begins to swirl its enchantment will have taken effect.'

    You gain experience!!

  • Receive a Shimmering Pearl.

  • Head to Nagafen's Lair and go to the fire giant castle. Zordak Ragefire can be found outside the castle at -1380, -350.

    You say, 'Hail, Zordak Ragefire.'

Zordak Ragefire stares at you with unblinking eyes. A wide grin crosses Zordak's face and flames flicker in the depths of his eyes. 'Welcome to the new fortress of the Plasmatic Priesthood! It's a shame about Lord Nagafen's untimely death, really it is! Such a powerful and noble creature should not perish at the hands of mortals.'

  • Give him the Shimmering Pearl, and receive a Swirling Pearl and Zordak's Box of Bindings in return.

  • Head to the Skyfire Mountains and talk to Warder Cecilia loc (+3000, -3200).

    You say, 'Hail, Warder Cecilia.'

Warder Cecilia says 'Greetings, you have made excellent time. We received word that Zordak was gathering his power here, and we still have little knowledge of his true intentions. Scattered throughout these mountains there are small Pearlescent Shards, binding four of these shards together within a Box of Binding should allow me to create a Seal. This seal, when fused with a Swirling Pearl inside Zordak's heart should allow our seers to divine his true intentions, even after he has been slain. Once you have the seal I will release Zordak, make haste I will not be able to hold him for long.'

Kill the general population in Skyfire (wurms, wyverns, drakes, etc.) until you've looted four Pearlescent Fragments. They drop very rarely off any mob in the zone.

  • Combine these fragments in Zordak's Box of Bindings to create an Assembled Pearlescent Shard

  • Give this shard to Warder Cecilia in exchange for a Pearlescent Seal

This also spawns a human version of Zordak Ragefire. He'll attack and needs to be killed. Immediately upon his death, the dragon version, Zordakalicus Ragefire spawns.

  • Kill Zordakalicus Ragefire and loot the Impure Heart of Zordak Ragefire

  • Combine the Swirling Pearl and Pearlescent Seal inside this container to create Heart of Zordak Ragefire.

Head back to the Timorous Deep and give the heart to Omat Vastsea.

Omat Vastsea says, 'I see now that Zordak Ragefire and the exiled elder dragon Zordakalicus were the same being. That explains how he resisted our attempts to divine his affairs and past. Each of these orbs I have granted you represents one of the Triumvirate. Jhassad Oceanson awaits on the shore below to perform the ritual that will merge the orbs into a single Orb of the Triumvirate and summon an avatar from the Plane of Water. Present the Orb of the Triumvirate to the Avatar of Water when it arrives and allow your destiny to be unraveled.'

Omat Vastsea will summon Jhassad Oceanson if hailed by a character in possession of the Orb of Vapor. He will summon the Avatar of Water if the character has the Orb of the Triumvirate. But he will not summon either if one of them is already around.

  • Receive the Orb of Vapor.

  • Step Four: Obtain the Orb of the Triumvirate

After turning in Zordak Ragefire's Heart, Jhassad Oceanson spawns nearby.

  • Give him the Orb of Frozen Water, Orb of Clear Water, and Orb of Vapor.

Jhassad Oceanson kneels in the sand and places the three orbs into a large abalone shell bowl. A blue glow surrounds his hands as he waves them over the orbs resting in the bowl. The orbs crack and fall apart, releasing their contents, then reform into a single glowing orb. Jhassad Oceanson gently removes the Orb of the Triumvirate and places it in your hands. 'The Avatar of Water approaches. You must hand him the Orb of the Triumvirate and it will be decided if it is your destiny to wield the Nem Ankh Sprinkler.'

  • Receive Orb of the Triumvirate.

  • Step Five: Obtain the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh

Upon turning the three orbs into Jhassad Oceanson, the Avatar of Water will spawn and walk out of the lake. It does not respond to hails, so you may have to chase it down.

  • Hand in the Orb of the Triumvirate and receive the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh.

Congratulations to Kerania von Krieger, the first to wield the Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh! Reward: Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh
    Reward: Oil of Fennin Ro

    Full Walkthrough

    Power of the Orb

Rykas is a gnome in a yellow robe in Lake Rathetear, who may be found at approximately +950, -650.

    You say, 'Hail, Rykas'

Rykas says 'Greetings ______, I am Rykas, chronicler of knowledge. I have journeyed all throughout the lands of Norrath, and I have learned many tales of adventure from people I have encountered during my travels. I have learned of legends known and unknown to most mortals. Are you in search of knowledge?'

You say, 'I am in search of knowledge.'

Rykas says 'A small task is needed if you wish to learn more. Do you wish to learn the tale of Magi'kot?'

You say, 'I wish to learn the tale of Magi'kot.'

Rykas says, 'If you seek to learn the tale of Trilith Magi'kot, your journey shall begin in the Commonlands. Search for Jahsohn Ak'sot and give him this token. He will share some of the knowledge I have bestowed upon him, and point you further down your path to Mastery. Bring me the Words of Mastery, Power of the Elements, and the Words of Magi'kot....Then you shall learn more about the power of the orb.'

You receive a Token of Mastery.

    Words of Magi`kot

Now find Jahsohn Ak`sot (note slightly different spelling) in the western Commonlands, who wanders in the general vicinity of +60, +3640.

    You say, 'Hail, Jahsohn Ak`sot'

    Jahsohn Ak`sot says 'Greetings, ______.'

    Give him the token.

Jahsohn Ak`sot says 'What is this? I cannot believe you found it! Where did you get this?'
    You gain experience!!

    You say, 'Rykas sent me.'

Jahsohn Ak`sot says 'I have not heard of anyone speaking that name out loud in years. Rykas once shared a tale with me, though I have lived with fear in my mind ever since. He told me afterwards that I did not have the balance I thought I had. Have you come for the Words of Magi'kot?'

You say, 'I have come for the Words of Magi'kot.'

Jahsohn Ak`sot says 'The Words of Magi'kot can only be shared with those elementalists whose minds are of balance. The Words were separated into three pieces by a high council of Magi who feared that the story would bring an end to elementalists throughout Norrath. If you feel you wish to read from the sacred Power of the Orb then an elementalist of such power should easily accomplish this task.'

    You say, 'What task?'

Jahsohn Ak`sot says 'Bring me the torn pages of Magi'kot. The first section can be found in the depths of a tainted forest, warded by an angry lupine. It is also rumored that one section is found in the haunted estate of a murderer, on a many armed creature. The last may be found in the belly of an amphibian who thirsts for blood.'

You now need Torn Page(s) of Magi`kot pg. 1-3. Page 1 drops in Kithicor Forest from the level 40 Enraged Dread Wolf that spawns at night. Page 2 drops in the Estate of Unrest from the tentacle terrors and dark terrors found in the basement. Page 3 drops in Lower Guk from bloodthirsty ghouls and the frenzied ghoul. Give all three words to Jahsohn.

Jahsohn Ak`sot says 'Have you forgotten something, ______?'

Jahsohn Ak`sot says 'Have you forgotten something, ______?'

Jahsohn Ak`sot says 'Rykas may have been right about you, ______. Now, go find Walnan. Walnan was apprenticed to a very powerful Mage. After her apprenticeship was complete, she wished to begin teaching other beings of Norrath. Even those who knew nothing of the art! I do not believe she was successful, though. Seek her out to further your tale. Good luck in your journeys, ______!'

You receive the Words of Magi`kot.

    Power of the Elements

Now find Walnan, a female high elf in purple in the Butcherblock Mountains. She wanders the path from the docks to Kaladim.

    You say, 'Hail, Walnan'

Walnan says 'Hallo ______! I am Walnan, elementalist, summoner, wanderer, and sometimes teacher. Might you be a elementalist in search of the truth?'

You say, 'I am in search of the truth.'

Walnan says 'The truth is something not all people can handle or understand. If the truth of the elements is what you seek then the Power of the Elements shall reveal all. Have you come to learn of Magi'kot?'

You say, 'I have come to learn of Magi'kot.'

Walnan says 'Magi'kot was the most powerful elementalist of his age. He may have been the most powerful mortal mage of all time, such was his mastery. He wished to obtain infinite knowledge and wisdom in order to further expand the arcane art of Summoning. Do you know what became of Magi'kot?'

    You say, 'No.'

Walnan says 'Only a few elementalists and followers outside our circle know what truly happened to Magi'kot. Even now, many are fearful to speak of his name. If you truly wish to continue, here is what you must do. Gather the Power of the Earth, warded by a fae creature. Then seek the Power of Fire, held by an elemental. Next you will need the Power of Wind, held by a twirling and prancing wanderer who has been corrupted. Finally, the Power of Water, held by a ravenous beast who is the minion of a fallen Sarnak. Bring them all to me, and I shall give you the Power of the Elements.'

The Power of Earth drops from A Fairy Guard in Lesser Faydark. The Power of Fire drops from blazing elementals and lava elementals in Solusek A, aka Solusek's Eye. The Power of Wind drops from A Gypsy Dancer in Mistmoore Castle, found in the ballroom of the castle. The Power of Water drops from various raveners in Kaesora. Give all four to Walnan.

Walnan says 'Wait, ______, are you not forgetting something?'

Walnan says 'Wait, ______, are you not forgetting something?'

Walnan says 'Wait, ______, are you not forgetting something?'

Walnan says 'The arcane art of Summoning is derived from the power of the elements which surround us. Continue your journey across the Ocean of Tears. In a dark fortress, you should find Akksstaf lurking about. Be wary, but tell him that you seek Magi'kot. Hurry now ______, you do not wish to miss the ship!'
    You gain experience!!

You receive Power of the Elements.

    Words of Mastery

The dark fortress Walnan spoke of is Najena, whose entrance is found in the Lavastorm Mountains. Akksstaff is a male dark elf in a green-brown robe who wanders Najena. He has a relatively long spawn time of anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days.

    You say, 'Hail, Akksstaff'

Akksstaff says 'What do you want?! Foolish Human, I am in no mood to treat with beggars. I have half a mind to turn Jobober here loose on you! Well, don't keep me waiting, state your business or be off with you!'

You say, 'Tell me about Magi'kot.'

Akksstaff says 'Ah, that I can help you with. Magi'kot was a powerful elementalist, able to control the power of the elements which surrounded him. He was not able to fully master the elements when I was learning from him, but soon after my departure I heard rumors that he was going after the Orb of Mastery. At the time, I did not feel he was ready to harness all the elements, but Magi'kot listened to no one. He was in search of power beyond any held by a mortal. Do you wish to hear more?'

You say, 'I wish to hear more.'

Akksstaff says 'Then bring me the torn pages of Mastery, there are four pages that can be found upon the women In this keep, though have a care, Najena's followers guard her treasures carefully, and delight in punishing trespassers.'

The four pages drop randomly off various magicians, goblin magicians, Rathyl, Rathyl Incarnate (spawned after Rathyl is killed), etc., and may be found throughout Najena. Gather all four and give them to Akksstaff.

Akksstaff says 'Very well. Take these words back to that shriveled old gnome, Rykas, if you wish to complete this quest. Now leave me, ______, it sickens me to be this cordial for so long. And Jobober needs exercise. Go!'

    You receive Words of Mastery.

    Power of the Orb

Return to Rykas in Lake Rathetear, and give him Words of Magi`kot, Power of the Elements, and Words of Mastery.

Rykas says 'I see that you have completed the quest I laid before you. That speaks well of your dedication, yet you do not realize your journey has just begun. Study this tome.'
    You gain experience!!

You receive Power of the Orb, which reads as follows:

"An elementalist's power comes from the Orb of Mastery. The Elements of Earth, Fire, Wind and Water are contained within the orb. The Master of Elements holds the Orb.

"He can be found within the Plane of Sky. No mortal has been able to contain the true power of the Orb.

"Trilith Magi'kot presented himself to the Master of Elements and the Orb of Mastery. The power of elements brought agony to his mind and body. Magi'kot was not of Balance.

"Fire burned his eyes unto blindness, Wind put his mind into a spin, Earth entered his body and aged him like the mountains, and finally, Water washed his memories of mortal life away.

"Failing his test, the Orb exacted its terrible price, and now Magi'kot is part of the Orb.

"The bearer of this tome should seek out the Master of Fire and present it to him, for there is much left to be revealed."

    Element of Fire

The Master of Fire is Jennus Lyklobar, who may be found in Skyfire Mountains.

    You say, 'Hail, Jennus Lyklobar'

Jennus Lyklobar says 'Hello and well met! Humans like you don't often come here.. Do you come seeking what I possess? Fire, fire, fire and fire is mine! I surround myself with fire, I bathe in fire, I consume fire, I am the Master of Fire! Hahahaha, but I digress. Have you come for the element of Fire, seeking to fall to the same fate as Trilith Magi'kot?'

You say, 'I have come for the element of Fire.'

Jennus Lyklobar says 'The Element of Fire I can provide you, but you must prove you are able to contain its power. Bring me the Torch of the Elements now kept by a doomed lord of merchants, the burning embers from a notable member of wurmkind who can be found a short journey from here and a blazing wand, which you should be familiar with. And you must surrender the tome Rykas gave you. But I think you would be happier if you stayed with me and learned more of the beauty of the one true element, FIRE! FIRE! Hahahahahahah!'

Obtain the following items: Torch of the Elements (dropped by Neh`Ashirr in City of Mist), Burning Embers (dropped by Phurzikon, Nezekezena, or Gylton, named wurms in Burning Woods), and Blazing Wand (dropped by Undertow in Kedge Keep). Give these three items along with Power of the Orb to Jennus.

Jennus Lyklobar says 'I see that you are well versed in the ways of Fire. Indeed, if you are as adept in the other, lesser elements, you may just seize the Orb of Mastery after all, and avoid Magi'kot's fate. Take this element, and guard it well, for more trials are to come, I assure you. Succeed and you shall be remembered always! Oh, and ______? Watch out for the puddles! HAHAHAHAHAHA!'
    You gain experience!!

    You receive Element of Fire.

    Element of Earth

Seek out Tiblner Milnik in Firiona Vie. He's a male high elf in a brown robe wandering near the cliff.

    You say, 'Hail, Tiblner Milnik'

Tiblner Milnik says 'Huh? What? Oh, you speak so fast, it took me a moment. I have become used to the slow and stately conversation the Earth holds, where a thought can span aeons. I am the Master of Earth, you know. Though I'm usually too humble to say this, that makes me the most powerful mortal in Norrath, as everyone knows that Earth is the only REAL Element, all else must give way before its power. Water is absorbed by it, Air is ignored by it, and Fire is contained in it. But you know all these things, I am sure. Are you interested in obtaining the Element of Earth? I know Magi'kot was, but we know what happened to him, don't we?'

You say, 'I have come for the element of earth.'

Tiblner Milnik says 'Combining the following items can bring the Element of Earth together. Obtain the Staff of Elemental Mastery: Earth, held by the minions of the Prince of Hate, The Dirt of Underfoot found on Slix something or the other, and of course, I shall need the Broom of Trilon and the Shovel of Ponz. Bring all these things, and I shall show you what a true Master of Earth can do, and gift you with the Element of Earth.'

The Staff of Elemental Mastery: Earth is an uncommon drop from one of the mini-bosses in the Plane of Hate, Magi P`Tasa. Dirt of Underfoot is a rare drop from Slixin Klex in the Burning Woods. The Broom of Trilon and Shovel of Ponz are the results of quests available through the Temple of Solusek Ro. Give all four items to Tiblner.

Tiblner Milnik says 'Take this Element and keep it with you. I wish you the best in your journey, but I must ask you to leave me now, this frantic pace you set makes me nervous.'
    You gain experience!!

    You receive Element of Earth.

    Element of Water

Find Jinalis Andir, an erudite female in blue robes at approximately -600, -2000 in Dagnor's Cauldron.

    You say, 'Hail, Jinalis Andir'

Jinalis Andir says 'Let us dispense with pleasantries, ______. I am Jinalis, as you know. I imagine you want to control the Elements. The Element of Water, which I possess, is the most powerful of the Elements. With it you can control the water which falls from the Air, erodes the Earth, and extinguishes Fire. It is a pity you do not focus on the Prime Element, but if you wish to follow that fool Magi'kot to your doom, I will not stop you. Bring me the Staff of Elemental Mastery: Water held by the last of the Kedge, the Tears of Erollisi held by a dirty and rotten officer across the Blessed Deep, and finally, the Rain of Karana, found on a mighty Giant in, where else, the Karanas.'

The Staff of Elemental Mastery: Water is a rare drop from Phinigel Autropos in Kedge Keep. Rain of Karana drops every time from Tarbul Earthstrider in Eastern Karana. He has a placeholder of "a rogue lion." Tears of Erollisi drop from Captain Rottgrime at the outpost in The Overthere. Give the three items to Jinalis.

Jinalis Andir says 'You have the control needed in order to manipulate the water which surrounds us. Take this Element and guard it well, you will need it in the times to come.'
    You gain experience!!

    You receive Element of Water.

    Element of Wind

Find Kihun Solstin, a human male in white in the quest room below the first island in the Plane of Sky.

    You say, 'Hail, Kihun Solstin'

Kihun Solstin says 'So, you have made it this far. I am Kihun Solstin, the Master of Wind. I control the unfettered Element like none other. As you should have learned, Air is the most potent of Elements. It fuels Fire, Water is comprised of it, and Earth cannot restrain it. Knowing this, do you seek the Element of Wind?'

You say, 'I seek the element of Wind.'

Kihun Solstin says 'I will test you then. In this wondrous plane of Air [editor's note: now Sky], find the Crown of Elemental Mastery, and search the world below for an Elemental Binder, and a cloak fashioned from the feathers of a Pegusus. Return them to me and I shall give you the Element of Wind.'

The Crown of Elemental Mastery is a rare drop from any mob on the seventh island in the Plane of Sky. Elemental Binders drop from Elemental Warriors in The Hole. The Pegasus Feather Cloak is a very rare drop from a rare spawn, Quillmane, found in Southern Karana. By all accounts this is the most difficult piece to get. Give the three items to Kihun.

Kihun Solstin says 'If you have obtained the other, lesser Elements, go speak with The Master of Elements, who is now waiting for you. I wish you luck. If you have not completed all the tasks set for you, let me know, and I shall let you see the Master.'
    You gain experience!!

    You receive Element of Wind.

    Orb of Mastery

After receiving the Element of Wind, Master of Elements will spawn in the Plane of Sky. If for some reason he has despawned, you can always get him to respawn by talking to Kihun Solstin and saying, "I want to see the master."

You say, 'Hail, Master of Elements'

Master of Elements says 'I... am... the... Master... of... Elements.. Elements... Forgive... me. I am... unaccustomed.. to.. speaking.. this.. mortal... tongue. Might.. you... be... the... One?'

You say, 'I am the One'

Master of Elements says 'Trilith... Magi'kot.. knelt.. before.. the.. orb.. in.. his.. his.. last.. few.. moments... of.. mortal.. life. He... too... believed.. that.. he.. had.. the.. power.. and.. balance.. needed.. to.. grasp... control.. of.. the.. elements. He.. was.... flawed. Give.... give.. me.. the.. Elements.. you.. have... gathered.. and.. I.. shall.. see.. if.. you.. are.. ready.. ready.. to control.. the... Elements.. of... life.. life.. life.'

Give it the Element of Fire, the Element of Earth, the Element of Water, and the Element of Wind.

Master of Elements says 'You... are.. balanced... and.. powerful.. for.. a.. mortal... ______ ..... ______ . More.. so.. than.... Magi'kot. But.... you.. are.. not.. yet.. ready.. to.. transcend.. transcend... this.. mortal.. coil. Take.. take.. seize.. this.. You receive Spell: Summon Orb. Scribe it immediately and cast it to summon your new epic weapon, the Orb of Mastery. Reward: Orb of Mastery
    Reward: Spell: Summon Orb

Monk Epic 1.5 Pre-Quest (Normal): This flags you to start the quest for the epic 1.5 if you don't have the Celestial Fists (epic 1.0).

Are You Ready to Leave This Place, Grasshopper?

"a fallen student" may be found in Lake Rathetear at +1350, +2075.

You say, 'Hail, a fallen student'

As you look at this individual, you can tell he has something bothering him greatly. The fallen student says, 'Eh? There is nothing I can help you with. I have nothing for myself anymore. . .except these [cursed dreams].'

    You say, 'What cursed dreams?'

a fallen student says 'I sense something within you. . .You may walk the path, but I must be certain. The information I possess is too important to give to just anyone. If you believe you are worthy of the information I hold you will [complete this task] I ask.'

You say, 'I will complete the task.'

a fallen student says 'Do not think that it will be an easy feat, even for one with such capabilities as yourself. There are two masters you must find. They will show you the ways of the enlightened. Return to me after you have gained proof of your deeds.'

You say, 'Show me the way of the enlightened.'

a fallen student says 'Very well then. There is a place full of mirrors. Locate one of them and speak the words, 'I am ready to be tested.' It is at this point you will face the darkness within yourself. You will have to face this foe alone, remember that. Return back to me if you manage to prove that you are worthy of true enlightenment.'

    Master Cedrick

The first master is Cedrick, found in Cobalt Scar at -970, +1185.

    You say, 'Hail, Cedrick'

Cedrick says 'So you wish to challenge me, eh? Why else would you be here bearing the Sign of Acceptance. It is your own funeral though. If you still wish to [prove your worth] and ascend to the next level I am ready.'

You say 'I will prove my worth.'

Cedrick says 'I didn't know slime could speak common.. go back to the sewer before I lose my temper.'

Cedrick attacks. Upon defeat, loot a Seal of Cedrick.

    Master Mystik

Mystik is found in West Karana at +1370, -7350.

    You say, 'Hail, Mystik'

Mystik says 'I see you bear the Sign of Acceptance. So you believe you are strong enough to accomplish all that is asked of you? If you stand true during this [test] you will find all you seek.'

You say, 'I am ready for the test.'

Mystik says 'In this test you will have to face me and prove that you have the heart to succeed. I hope you have brought strong allies to accompany you for you shall need them. We shall begin as soon as you are [ready to start].'

You say, 'I am ready to start.'

Mystik says 'I didn't know Slime could speak common..go back to the sewer before I lose my temper.'

Mystik attacks. Mystik is highly fire-resistant, but vulnerable to magic and cold and is magic-slowable. Upon defeat, loot a Seal of Mystik.

    Return to Vortix

You say, 'Hail, a fallen student'

A fallen student says 'I see you do have the skill that is needed to continue this quest, but you must now face your hardest foe yet. For your final task, you will be alone, and in that moment you will have to face your true self. Many cannot bear to see what they find within. It is at that time we really see what we are capable of. If you wish to continue, I will [show you the way].'

    Hand in both seals.

A fallen student says 'Very well then. There is a place full of mirrors. Locate one of them and speak the words, 'I am ready to be tested.' It is at this point you will face the darkness within yourself. You will have to face this foe alone, remember that. Return back to me if you manage to prove you are worthy of true enlightenment.'

    Mirror, Mirror

Go to the Tower of Frozen Shadow. On the fourth floor, there is a mirror to zone out. Stand in front of the mirror and say, "I am ready to be tested." mirror reflection (a level 65 monk that looks like you) will spawn and attack. You must defeat it entirely solo. Once defeated, it drops a Medal of Identity.

Head back to the fallen student and turn it in.

A fallen student says 'So I see you do truly have the ability to follow the path of the Enlightened. I am sorry I was not sure before but I am now. Now I must tell you of my [cursed dreams].'

Congratulations, you have completed the pre-quest.
Monk Epic 1.5: Fistwraps of Celestial Discipline (Normal): If you have the Celestial Fists or have completed the pre-quest, "a fallen student" may be found in Lake Rathetear at +1350, +2075.

You say, 'Hail, a fallen student'

As you look at this individual, you can tell he has something bothering him greatly. The fallen student says, 'Eh? There is nothing I can help you with. I have nothing for myself anymore. . .except these [cursed dreams].'

    You say, 'What cursed dreams?'

a fallen student says 'I pray that they stay locked within my mind for the world as we know it would be changed forever. In my dreams I see sand as red as blood and skies scorched from war. It is a terrible [vision].'

    You say, 'What vision?'

a fallen student says 'I have seen visions of a dark foe gaining new strength in a plane unknown to me. It grows stronger with every passing minute. It gathers those that stand for chaos and disorder and is sending them out to search for the ultimate power of the Immortals, but it cannot be real. History reveals that he has been defeated. I see this same dream every night. It haunts me greatly. This dream seems too real, however, to not have some truth to it. If only I knew if this was the gift of foresight, or if I have finally lost my mind. If I only knew, I would be able to rest again.'

He doesn't respond to any keywords here, so:

You say, 'Hail, a fallen student'

a fallen student says 'In my dreams I see sand as red as blood and skies scorched from war. It is a terrible vision that has haunted me greatly. Please find a way to let me know if this is fact or fiction, ______.'

    Proof of Nightmares: Harbingers' Spire

Muramite Sand drops from trash mobs in Harbingers' Spire. It identifies as "Sand that is as red as blood from scorched skies and war."

    Lake Rathetear

Give the sand to the fallen student.

a fallen student says 'Where did you find this? Could it really be happening now, after all of this time? It couldn't be. He had been defeated. . .there is little [time] left for us now I am afraid.'

    You say, 'Time?'

a fallen student says 'Time for what? Time for us to find a way to defeat this menace that threatens our ways of life. Go out and find one that may know more about the [power of the Immortals]. Please do not return until you have found someone to help.'

    Finding an Expert: Erudin

Tomekeeper Danl may be found on the second floor of the Erudin library at location -1092.48, -245.23, 67.72.

    You say, 'Hail, Tomekeeper Danl'

Tomekeeper Danl says 'Good day, citizen. Please remember to keep your voice down in our library. Feel free to browse the extensive collection of books we have on display. Learning is all about you. Our library is the greatest collection of educational literature in the world, as you can no doubt see. If you've come across any [rare finds] we may be interested in purchasing them.'

You say, 'What about the power of the Immortals?'

Tomekeeper Danl says 'Power of the Immortals? Hmmm. . .well of course I know about that, but at the moment I have more pressing issues at hand. I'm sorry I could not be of more help, but maybe after my assistant has returned I can help you.'

    Tomekeeper Danl's Assistant: Shadow Haven

Researcher Relreom may be found at +370, +1200.

    You say, 'Hail, Researcher Relreom'

Researcher Relreom says 'Hello there. I'm afraid I really don't have time to have a conversation though. I have been sent on a very important task to retrieve some lost pages to a very [important book].'

    You say, 'What important book?'

Researcher Relreom says 'Oh dear, I shouldn't have said anything at all. I guess another set of eyes on the look out couldn't hurt though. I have been searching for some pages that were torn from a book in Erudin. These pages are illegible to the untrained eye due to the enchantment we place on them in case of such an occurrence, but I am afraid if the [pages] aren't recovered soon, the enchantment will fade exposing our secrets.'

    You say, 'What pages?'

Researcher Relreom says 'The pages are from a very special book. I was not actually told more than that about the book, except that a gang of mercenaries took them. Since they will not be able to read them they probably will just end up tossing them away making it that much harder to locate them. I trust you will be able to locate the four of them though and aid me. Be safe and please return when you have found all four sections of parchment.'

The four pages are called Section of Parchment. Each identifies as "A section of a larger, ancient book" and each is found as a ground spawn, with a respawn time of approximately 30 minutes. One is on the beach inside a beached ship in the Gulf of Gunthak, at -730, -340. One is in the Ruins of Old Paineel, a.k.a. The Hole, at +65, +90, inside the old city to the right. One is in Charasis, a.k.a. Howling Stones, at +100, -20, directly down from zone-in. One is in the passage south of Shei Vinitras' room in Akheva Ruins, at +710, -1425. Give all four to Researcher Relreom.

You must turn in all quest items at once in order to complete this quest.
Researcher Relreom says 'I'm sorry you seem to still be missing at least one of the parchments I am looking for ______.'
Researcher Relreom says 'I'm sorry you seem to still be missing at least one of the parchments I am looking for ______.'
Researcher Relreom says 'I'm sorry you seem to still be missing at least one of the parchments I am looking for ______.'
Researcher Relreom says 'You have returned with the pages but I am afraid I have nothing to reward you with but my thanks. I am sure Tomekeeper Danl will be able to give you something though if you want to bring them to him. Yes! That is what we will do. Take the pages back and give them to Tomekeeper Danl he will be overjoyed to have them back!'
    You gain experience!!

    You receive Danl's Missing Book.

    Back to Danl: Erudin

Give the book to Tomekeeper Danl.

Tomekeeper Danl says 'What's this? How did you know I was missing these pages? I still do not know how you always find a way to help but you have again. Now what is it you came to ask me before? Ah yes, it was regarding the Immortals. It is no coincidence that the pages you just brought me came from the very book you are referring to. Tomekeeper Danl mumbles a few words you do not understand and the pages magically are inserted back into the book and become legible again.'

Tomekeeper Danl says 'Well I suppose I do owe you the information you had come here seeking. Unfortunately, I do not know much more than what is in this book already. The other references I have found do speak of another [disciple of Kaiaren].'
    You gain experience!!

You say, 'What disciple of Kaiaren?'

Tomekeeper Danl says 'It is unknown to many that Kaiaren had another student before Vorash. He was a disciple that wanted to learn the true power of mind and body. Sage Kaiaren had so much respect for him that he decided that he was going to take Kaiaren's place among the Order of the Celestial Fists when it was his turn to choose a new member. This disciple's name was [Vortix].'

    You say, 'Who is Vortix?'

Tomekeeper Danl says 'When Vortix was training with Kaiaren, he learned many techniques that Vorash never had time to learn because of Kaiaren's suspicions of him. The only soul that may know of these lost disciplines is Vortix. Unfortunately, he went into hiding shortly after Kaiaren's battle with Vorash. He became a coward hiding from the public and began to write himself out of history to live the life of an outcast. If he cannot be found you can also find his [book].'

    You say, 'What book?'

Tomekeeper Danl says 'Well I shouldn't say book. It was really a diary of sorts. Kaiaren wrote a diary and it contained all of his disciplines. There may also be a way to reverse the effects of Vorash's attacks located within it. Unfortunately, Vortix would also be the only one that would know the diary's location. Go now and try to locate Vortix and ask him [where Kaiaren's diary] may be. Who referred you to me in the first place? Maybe he knows more than he appears to. I remember that Vortix will only address those that call to him by name.'

    Vortix: Lake Rathetear

Head back to the fallen student.

    You say, 'Are you Vortix?'

a fallen student says 'I see you know who I truly am now. It does not matter though. There is nothing I can help you with. Danl should have been able to help you more than I could.'

He despawns and respawns as Vortix.

Vortix regards you indifferently -- what would you like your tombstone to say?

You say, 'Where is Kaiaren's diary?'

Vortix says 'Kaiaren's Diary? I haven't seen it in some time now. If I were not such a coward, I would have kept it. I have heard rumors of it being torn in half. Some students that wanted to learn the ways of the Celestial Fists were looking for it a while back. One was a pirate that wanted to only learn the Path of the Silent to gain more treasures than he had. The other, wanted to become the most powerful fighter alive. You may want to seek them out and see if they have located pieces of it. I am sorry I could not be of more help. If you do happen to locate the two pieces, bring them back to me and maybe I will be able to aid you further. Now that you know my secret, there is no reason to remain hidden from the world. You will be able to find me resting in the Plane of Tranquility. Be safe, ______.'

    Kaiaren's Diary

Kaiaren's Diary is in two parts. The first part drops from Wygrish in Sirens Grotto, at -140, -215.

    You say, 'Hail, Wygrish'

As you approach Wygrish you can see him meditating with a small ripped book in his grasp. As you pass him by he raises his eyes and stares at you before going back into meditation.

Wygrish says 'I see you wear the Celestial Mark! I know why you are here and you can't have it back! I will fight you with all that I am to prevent losing the diary!'

Wygrish attacks. He quads for 1500, AE rampages, is snareable and slowable, does not summon, flees at 4%, and has about 150k hp. He should be a single group encounter. He drops 1/2 of Kaiaren's Diary, which identifies as "Right half."

The other part of Kaiaren's Diary drops from Quigli in Dulak's Harbor. He may be found on the Windscorn.

    You say, 'Hail, Quigli'

Quigli says 'I have nothing for you unless say you have the [right price]. . .'

    You say, 'What right price?'

Quigli says 'I have just placed my 'ands on this 'ere book and I'd be willin to part with it for a mighty price else you could try and [defeat me crew].'

You say, 'I will defeat your crew.'

Quigli can give rude responses to a hail but still attack when you say this final text.

Quigli says 'Good. . .good. I 'aven't 'ad much change to stretch me arms in a while.'

Quigli says 'You sorry sacks of vermin come aid me now!'

a scallywag of Quigli says 'Your attack on me is an attack on Windscorn! You will not make it far.'
a scallywag of Quigli says 'Your attack on me is an attack on Windscorn! You will not make it far.'
a scallywag of Quigli says 'Your attack on me is an attack on Windscorn! You will not make it far.'
a lackey of Quigli says 'Your attack on me is an attack on Windscorn! You will not make it far.'

Quigli attacks. He hits for around 600 and spawns 4 adds, 3 x "a scallywag of Quigli" and 1 x "a lackey of Quigli" (fight info needed). The adds despawn a couple of seconds after you slay Quigli. Once Quigli is dead, loot 1/2 of Kaiaren's Diary, which identifies as "Left half."

    Vortix Revealed: Plane of Tranquility

Vortix may now be found in the Plane of Tranquility on top of a rock, at +1845, -735.

    You say, 'Hail, Vortix'

Vortix says 'It is good to see you ______, but I have no new information to share with you. If you have anything to show me, please do.'

Turn in both halves of Kaiaren's Diary.

Vortix says 'You still seem to be missing part of the Diary, ______.'
Vortix says 'You have found it. Let me look at it for a minute. Ah yes, it has been a while but it is all coming back to me. What's this though? It seems like [what I was searching for] is located elsewhere.'

You say, 'What you were searching for?'

Vortix says 'Long ago, Kaiaren wrote down all of his teachings in this book. It was in case anything ever happened to him the teachings would not be lost forever. These are those teachings. There are several [techniques] missing though that I had hoped to find in this book. Kaiaren had once told me that there was a way to retrieve someone's memories using a similar technique that originally caused his memory loss.'

    You say, 'What techniques?'

Vortix says 'The only other place the techniques that we seek could be retained would be within the Celestial Order itself. Yes. . .the [Celestial Guardians] should be safekeeping the sacred techniques.'

You say, 'Who are the Celestial Guardians?'

Vortix says 'They are the keepers of the disciplines. They are the ones that guard all that is right and balanced in this world. They are the enlightened and their faith is unwavering.'

You say, 'How can I find the Celestial Guardians?'

Vortix says 'You can find them within their essences. The names you will most likely find them by are the [Disciples] of [Sun], [Moon], and [Order]. Hopefully you will be able to locate them and help retrieve the techniques we need.'

You say, 'What Disciple of Sun?'

Vortix says 'The Disciple of Sun represents all that is pure. There is nothing stronger than the leadership of the sun. The energy that we draw from it powers everything in this world. The plants we use as herbs draw strength for it. The animals we eat grow by it and we use it to guide us. You will find him where his reign is the most apparent. He is strong and proud, so you may need to use ingenuity to draw him out.'

You say, 'What Disciple of Moon?'

Vortix says 'The Disciple of Moon represents all that is pure. How can two disciples represent the same essence? It is simple. How can you have day without night. You cannot understand right without knowing wrong as well. How can you say you understand true happiness without ever feelings the depths of despair. You can find this Disciple where the soul is the closest to the elements.'

You say, 'What Disciple of Order?'

Vortix says 'The Disciple of Order represents what we all try to follow as close as possible as children of the Celestial Order. Order is what we live by. It helps to keep our senses pure and strong. It makes us understand what steps we must take to become enlightened. This Disciple will be found where Order is upheld at all times. Be careful however, if you hesitate in any way you will be found flawed in his eyes. You should prepare to be tested to the limits of your capabilities. This disciple resides upon the highest of councils. He is the only member that resides upon another plane and does the bidding of a group that is the Tribunal.'

Disciple of Sun: The Scarlet Desert

The Disciple of Sun may be found on the plateau at 722, -949, 157.

You say, 'Hail, Disciple of Sun'

Disciple of Sun says 'I see you come in search of our ways. How can one such as yourself think that you have the power and pureness to challenge a Disciple of the Celestial Order? Very well though, if you wish to [challenge] me I shall enlighten you.'

You say, 'I wish to challenge you.'

Disciple of Sun says 'I didn't know Slime could speak common..go back to the sewer before I lose my temper.'

It attacks. It hits for about 850, and has two procs, DrakeBreathBig and Deathly Fire. Once it's dead:

Disciple of Sun's corpse says 'You have done well. May you continue to prosper through your trials.'

    Loot a Symbol of Sun.

    Disciple of Moon: Western Wastes

Head to +3300, +2800 (northwest corner of the landmass) and you will see this emote:

You hear a faint voice in your mind, 'The Moon guides us as we are in darkness. If the Sun is bright and bold, the Moon will be the reasoning. If you seek to [prove yourself] to the Order speak it now.'

You say, 'I seek to prove myself to the Order.'

A dragon called Disciple of Moon spawns.

Disciple of Moon says 'Very well then. Prepare your soul to be cleansed.'

It attacks. It hits for about 850 and procs Deathly Ice. Once it's dead:

Disciple of Moon's corpse says 'You have done well. May you continue to prosper through your trials.'

Loot the Symbol of Moon from its corpse.

Disciple of Order: The Seventh Hammer, Plane of Justice

Bring a raid force with you. After getting yourself flagged to reach the Seventh Hammer's room, you will see the following emote:

As you enter the area you can see the great figure known as The Seventh Hammer standing before you. The Seventh Hammer says, 'I can see you have come from the Celestial Ones. If you wish to seek [judgement] from the Order, speak the phrase now.'

You say, 'I am ready to face my judgement.'

The epic version of The Seventh Hammer spawns.

It attacks. Upon killing the epic version, loot a Symbol of Order. Note: You must have completed all six Plane of Justice trials and obtained The Mark of Justice in order to loot the symbol. Reportedly, the regular version of The Seventh Hammer also drops the symbol.

    Vortix's Letter: Plane of Tranquility

After you have killed any of the Disciples, you may return to Vortix in the Plane of Tranquility.

    You say, 'Hail, Vortix'

Vortix says 'Ah, I see you have seen a Disciple. The tokens you now possess are used to represent status among the Order. There used to be a tradesman that would fashion them into sashes for us but I'm afraid he has since passed on. I believe there may be another that has learned his trade. His name is Eryke Stremstin, and you should be able to find him peddling his wares across the land. Take this and give it to him. He should be able to tell you of what you will need to fashion your new sash. Once you have fashioned it please bring it to me.'

You receive a Letter to Stremstin.

    Eryke Stremstin: The Bazaar

Eryke Stremstin may be found in The Bazaar at -402, +146.

    You say, 'Hail, Eryke Stremstin'

Eryke Stremstin says 'Hello there ______. I am sorry I have nothing to offer or trade since moving to these charming 'accommodations'.'

    Give him the letter.

Eryke Stremstin says 'What's this? A note from Vortix. . .I have not made anything in a long while. I am afraid I cannot be of much use to you except to sell you the required materials. I suppose I could also 'guide' you by telling you what you need to make the garment yourself. . .but that's if the [price] is right.'

    You say, 'What price?'

Eryke Stremstin says 'I would be willing to part with the information and items for a meager amount of 1000 platinum pieces.'

    Give him 1000 pp.

Eryke Stemstin says 'Ah, very good then. What you will need to make your sash is the Celestial Thread I have handed you, as well as a Belt Pattern, and your three [polished] symbols in a sewing kit.'

    You receive Celestial Thread.

    You say, 'Polished?'

Eryke Stremstin says 'You mean you haven't polished them yet. Must I teach you everything? You will need to polish each one by using some Divine Crystalline Glaze with your symbol in a kiln. Good luck and I wish you much success.'

Place one Symbol of XXX in a kiln with some Divine Crystalline Glaze to craft a Polished Symbol of XXX (trivial at 138). Combine the three Polished Symbols with the Celestial Thread and a Belt Pattern in a sewing kit or loom to craft an Initiate's Sash of the Celestial Order, which identifies as "A sash that displays status in the Order" (need trivial and minimum skill required, trivial somewhere between 133 and 150). If you fail, you will lose the Celestial Thread, but you can get more by handing another 1000 pp to Eryke Stremstin. You will not lose the Polished Symbols if you fail.

Back to Vortix: Plane of Tranquility

    Give Vortix the sash.

Vortix says 'I see you have gained great strength during your journey as you now wear the Sash of the Celestial Order. I am glad you have made it this far. You will need that for the next steps of your [journey].'

    You say, 'What journey?'

Vortix says 'The steps that you have taken thus far have been to prepare you for the next step. I must apologize for not telling you sooner but I had to make sure I knew you were worthy. Kaiaren's diary did contain the way to unlock his mind again. To do so, you must travel back to the land that you brought the sand from. There you will have to battle the two halves of [Kaiaren's being]; his mind and body.'

    You say, 'Kaiaren's being?'

Vortix says 'He has entered a [place] where chaos rules and his mind has separated from his body. His consciousness has taken the form of beings of another plane. Only after you have retrieved both essences of his mind and body, will we be able to free him again.'

    You say, 'What place?'

Vortix says 'This place is not something I know much about. It seems as though discord runs free there. You must be careful while you are there. There are many things we still do not yet fully understand unfolding before our eyes.'

He does not respond to anything else.

    You say, 'Hail, Vortix'

Vortix says 'It is good to see you ______, but I have no new information to share with you. If you have anything to show me, please do.'

    Kaiaren's Mind: The Bloodfields

Bring a raid. Kragsmash may be found at -500, -1200.

    You say, 'Hail, Kragsmash'

Kragsmash says 'I know what you seek and you will have to go through me to get to it. This feat will be your undoing but if you [insist] I will provide you a quick demise.'

    You say, 'I insist.'

Kragsmash says 'Prepare to meet your god, fool!'
Kragsmash says 'Oh look..a talking lump of refuse..how novel!'

Kragsmash attacks. It hits for 1200, rampages, is permarooted, summons, rampages, does not enrage or regenerate, procs Bazu Grip. At each of 75%, 50%, and 25% health, it will spawn 2 additional mobs called "Strength of Body" (need fight info). At some point in there (when?), it will also spawn a seventh mob called "speed of body" (need fight info). When the adds spawn, you will see these:

Kragsmash says 'You shall never retrieve that which you search for!'
Kragsmash says 'There is much more to fear other than me!'
Kragsmash says 'Fools! You have tried my patience!'

Once Kragsmash is dead, loot Kaiaren's Mind. A chest can spawn with additional loot.

    Kaiaren's Body: Harbingers' Spire

Windrush may be found deep into Harbingers' Spire, up the spiral ramp at the back of the first hall, at +590, -2045, +415. Bring a group.

    You say, 'Hail, Windrush'

As you look at Windrush's face you can feel that you share a common bond with it. You can hear a faint voice in your mind that says, 'Speak the words of the Master. [I am of the body]. Windrush says, 'Leave before I send you to your god.'

You say, 'I am of the body.'

As you speak you can see that you have stirred something from within this creature.
Windrush says 'I will teach you to disturb what you cannot change!'

It attacks. Windrush is EXTREMELY magic resistant. During the fight it casts Stunning Strike which appears to be a single target >30 second stun. During this time it did not spin and engage another attacker, possibly doesn't drop aggro. It also at varied times casts Mana Spectrum.

It constantly goes on a Wild Rampage and Enrages around 8-10%. Otherwise it is pretty much a straight melee fight. Load up on pure melee instead of casters. Enchanter slow (Desolate Deeds) was able to land 1/10 casts. Once it's dead, loot Kaiaren's Body. A chest can spawn with additional loot.

Vortix Takes Kaiaren's Mind and Body: Plane of Tranquility

Give Kaiaren's Mind and Kaiaren's Body to Vortix.

Vortix says 'You have proven yourself time and time again to be very courageous, ______. Let us hope that lasts for the final issue we must resolve. The Order has seen that Kaiaren will not be ready in time to battle the evil which is growing stronger with every passing day. You must return to the land of Discord and find Vorash. He must be stopped now before he reaches full strength again.'

    The Keeper: The Bloodfields

The Keeper may found in the Bloodfields on the wall above the druid/wizard port-in /loc of the Keeper is 540, -170, -570.. Bring a raid.

    You say, 'Hail, The Keeper'

The Keeper says 'I see you have found me once again. I have grown in strength since the last time the Order tried to defeat me. When the final blow was struck I was reborn in this world. The hatred within my heart gave me newfound strength. There was another far more powerful than the great Rallos Zek. He provided me this new shell and capabilites far superior than that which I could imagine. I am everlasting. If you wish to meet your god prepare to [die].'

You say, 'You are the one who shall die.'

The Keeper says 'It is useless to try and challenge me. Kaiaren will forever be lost within this land of discord!'
The Keeper says 'Is that your BREATH..or did something die in here..now go away!'

The Keeper attacks. He procs Stunning Strike, Breath of the Black, and Relinquish Spirit. User Ragord reports the following fight info: "The hardest I was hit for was 1643, although with mid grade mitigation, his raw damage is likely higher. He did not seem overly accurate, as being hit was uncommon. The mob was perma rooted and did not summon until I dropped him below eighty percent hits. He Rampaged rarely, but Wild Rampaged quite frequently.

He did regen a bit when I tried to get him to summon me, but it did not seem any higher than normal mob regen. He did not Enrage")
    Once he's dead:

    You have slain The Keeper!
    You gained raid experience!!
The Keeper's corpse says 'I am sorry I have failed you Dark One! The name Vorash shall always strike fear into your hearts.'

Loot a Scribed Note, which identifies as "A note in a language you cannot read."

    Final Hand-in: Plane of Tranquility

    Give the note to Vortix.

Vortix says 'I can see that you are truly a great member of the Celestial Order now. You have helped the Order when it was needed and have helped me regain the honor which I had lost. The Order has given me the privilege now to bestow upon you the Fistwraps of the Celestial Disciple. May you enjoy your new ranking within the Order. Kaiaren will be pleased to speak to the person responsible for his saving. You may find him wandering the lands with his newfound well-being. I believe the last place he was seen was travelling in the Ocean of Tears. Be safe ______ and thank you again.'

You receive the Fistwraps of Celestial Discipline, a.k.a. monk epic 1.5. You also receive 5 AA and access to your new title, Enlightened. Reward: Fistwraps of Celestial Discipline

Necromancer Epic 1.5: Soulwhisper (Normal): If you have the Scythe of the Shadowed Soul or have done the pre-quest, Kazen Fecae may be found at 405, -1135 near Lake Rathetear.

    You say, 'Hail, Kazen Fecae'

Kazen Fecae says 'It has been a while since we have talked. You have done well in obtaining your Scythe. The time has come however for you to perform another task for me. I do not wish to waste time, so in short, I want you to collect a most powerful staff for me. I only have a piece of it as the rest has mysteriously disappeared. I wish to research this staff piece but first I need some special research tools. Take this note and travel to Steamfont. Find a gnome named Biddliss Sperandu and give him the note. When you obtain the research tools hand them to me.'

You receive a Note to Biddliss (if you did the pre-quest, you already have the note). Travel to +403, -1137, +4 in Steamfont.

    You say, 'Hail, Biddliss Sperandu'

Biddliss Sperandu says 'Go away before I sic the clockworks on ya!'

    Give him the note.

Biddliss Sperandu says 'Kazen wants some research tools? That is fine. I want something from you first, however. Bring me four gleaming zraxthil ores and combine them in this satchel. Why do I want them? Why do you care? Bring them to me or you don't get your tools. Now scram!'

You receive a Gleaming Ore Satchel, a 4-slot container. Gleaming Zraxthril Ores may be found as drops in Torgiran Mines. Combine four in the satchel to craft a Sealed Ore Satchel. Bring this back to Biddliss.

Biddliss Sperandu says 'So you're not totally useless after all. Maybe there is a reason Kazen hasn't destroyed you yet. Take these tools and give my warmest regards to Master Kazen.'

Biddliss Sperandu despawns (respawn time needed). You receive Biddliss's Research Tools. Take these back to Kazen Fecae.

Kazen Fecae takes the tools from you. He opens the case and pulls out a small magnifying glass. It seems to faintly glow as he passes it over the surface of the staff piece. 'There appears to be a small rune etched in the wood.' Kazen takes out a piece of parchment and draws a picture of the rune. 'I am not familiar with this rune. Take this drawing of the rune to Ruandia in the Plane of Knowledge. She is an expert on runes and should know what it means. From here on out I will want you to handle the research of this staff through my assistant Tebarin in the Plane of Knowledge. I am busy and do not wish to be disturbed further. Tebarin will communicate to me any progress you have made with helping to recover the staff.'

You receive a Drawing of Rune. Take it to Ruandia in the Plane of Knowledge at +440, +155.

Ruandia takes the drawing from you and studies it for a moment. Her face turns pale as a look of fear overcomes her. 'You must stop your quest for whatever this rune deals with. It will only lead to your demise. This rune has many meanings; the main meaning essentially being 'discord'. I am hesitant to tell you more about it, but I am sure Kazen would not be pleased.' Ruandia writes some directions onto the drawing. 'I am not responsible for the outcome of your quest. Keep that in mind.'

You receive Ruandia's Instructions. Take them to Tebarin in the necromancers guild at -805, +1065.

Tebarin says 'Kazen informed me that you would be coming. Ruandia deciphered the rune for you? Good. That witch better be accurate or Kazen will have her head. I need you to find two balls of elemental clay and combine them in this box. Return them to me when you have them.'

You receive an Intricately Carved Box, a 4-slot container. Balls of Elemental Clay have been reported as dropping in the Ruins of Old Paineel (The Hole) and Vegarlson, the Earthen Badlands. Combine two in the box to craft a Sealed Intricately Carved Box. Give this to Tebarin.

Tebarin takes the clay from you and combines them into a large ball. He then flattens it out into a thin sheet and carefully carves a likeness of the rune into the clay sheet with a sharp stick. 'The directions say we will require an ancient tome of lost lore. I believe you can find one somewhere in The Hole. When you find the tome, combine it in the intricately carved box with the oil and then hand it to me. The oil will protect the tome for the ritual ahead.'

You receive the Intricately Carved Box again and some Strange Smelling Oil. The Ancient Tome of Lost Lore drops from An Old Gargoyle in the Ruins of Old Paineel (The Hole). Combine the tome and the oil in the box to craft A Protected Tome. Bring it back to Tebarin.

Tebarin presses the sheet of clay into the tome and closes it. A red glow begins to engulf the tome. Tebarin opens the tome and you can see words slowly start to appear on the pages as if a ghost were writing on the pages. Tebarin studies the words within for several minutes. 'There is an explanation of the history of the staff. I have decided that our best bet of obtaining the staff is for me to attempt to summon it from its home plane of existence. I would advise you to prepare for the worst. This could end up being very dangerous. Hold the tome for a moment and try to attune yourself to its magics. Hand it to me when you are ready for me to begin the summoning.'

You receive a Brightly Glowing Tome. When you are ready, give it back.

Tebarin holds up the book with both hands and begins to chant. After several minutes, a sudden flash blinds you. When you regain your vision a few seconds later, you are amazed to see the staff floating in the air before you. Before you or Tebarin are able to take the staff as your own, a booming voice echoes throughout the room, 'All who seek my staff will be destroyed!' An explosion of bright magic stuns you as a magical portal opens. Five heavily armored paladins step through the portal and grab the staff. 'Not if we destroy the staff first!' one of the paladins shouts. The paladins rush back into the portal with the staff. Tebarin tries to follow them into the portal but it disappears. 'This cannot be!' cries Tebarin. 'We must ensure this tome does not also fall into the hands of the paladins. The tome is our only hope of recovering the staff before the paladins destroy it. We must build a [special box] that will protect the tome. Take this rune-covered insert. You will use it to construct the box.'

You receive a Rune Covered Insert.

    You say, 'What special box?'

Tebarin says 'I must have a box made to protect the tome from these thieves! In addition to the rune-covered insert I have given you, you will also need one piece of gnarled wood, and one elaborate hinge. Find those items and combine them in a forge to make the box. If you fail, Kazen and I will not be pleased. Now go!'

The Gnarled Wood drops from a gnarled treant in the Plane of Nightmare. The Elaborate Hinge is an uncommon drop from the uncommon A Scrap Collector in the Plane of Innovation. Combine the Gnarled Wood, Elaborate Hinge, and Rune Covered Insert in a forge to craft a Glowing Box of Protection. The combine is no-fail, but you must have Blacksmithing skill >= 100 to attempt it. Give the Glowing Box of Protection to Tebarin in the Plane of Knowledge.

Tebarin says 'This should do nicely. At least I hope so, for your sake. Now that the box is secure, I want revenge on the paladins who took the staff! Find all four of the paladins and take their heads! Once you have their heads, combine them in this sack and hand it to me. I will make sure they are reanimated and suffer for many, many years for what they have done. Now leave me. I must ponder the turn of events that have taken place here.'

(Note: If Tebarin asks for "five" paladin heads, it is a bug in the text. Only four are needed.)

You receive a Paladin Headhunting Satchel. Go to each of the four Karana zones and bring a tracker. All four of the paladins (Sir Arlindo Goldheart, Sir Gerwin Thunderblade, Sir Telian Mottsworth, and Sir Gregon Sulltor) are level 70, very magic-resistant (tash or malo will help greatly). They are snarable and do not summon. However, kiting is difficult because they have a single-target stun and single-target mana tap. They can triple-hit for 1600 a pop, and will flee at low health. Loot their heads: Sir Arlindo's Head, Sir Gerwin's Head, Sir Telian's Head, and Sir Gregon's Head. Combine the heads in the satchel to craft a Full Paladin Headhunting Satchel. Give this to Tebarin.

Tebarin says, 'Your donation will please my masters greatly. I have a special reanimation spell reserved just for these do-gooders. Now you are to travel to Natimbi and find the paladin who has the staff. You might want to talk to the dead you come across as they often have valuable information. Take this orb to help enhance your natural abilities to communicate with the dead.'

You receive an Orb of Deathspeaking.

Head to Natimbi and find Whiahdi near the undead camp, at +385, -935. She will ignore you unless you have the Orb of Deathspeaking.

    You say, 'Hail, Whiahdi'

Whiahdi says 'You speak to the dead? Not many have that talent. What is it you want from me, mortal?'

You say, 'I want the staff.'

Whiahdi says 'Yes. I did see a paladin with a staff. Before I give you any more information however. I wish for you to perform a task for me. I need you to travel to Barindu and find my most precious possessions from when I was once alive. A muramite in Barindu killed me and took all I owned. If you can get my earthly possessions back, I will help you in regards to the location of the paladin. Find my brother, Taiandao in Barindu. He is still among the living, but is a slave of the vile muramites. Ask him if he knows of the muramite that killed me.'

Bring a solid group to Barindu. Taiandao is found at +350, -130, inside a hut in the northwest part of the zone, directly north of the Ferubi zoneline.

    You say, 'Hail, Taiandao'

Taiandao says 'What is it you want? I will be beaten if I am seen talking to you.'

You say, 'What muramite killed Whiahdi?'

Taiandao says 'Yes I know the one who took her life. His name is Viarglug. I hate him with every fiber of my being. If you kill him, I will forever be in debt to you. He should be somewhere nearby making life miserable for a slave.'

Viarglug spawns at -310, -35 in a cornfield near a tower northeast of the Ferubi zoneline. He is KoS but will not attack unless attacked or hailed. He has a mana drain/DoT AE that will overwrite Lich and KEI/VoQ. Once he's dead, loot Whiahdi's Earthly Possessions. A chest can spawn with additional loot. Give Whiahdi's Earthly Possessions back to her.

Whiahdi says 'You found my possessions! I am most greatful. The paladin you seek did walk by here some time ago. I believe he was on his way to Qinimi. He had a curious staff with him that seemed to whisper dark tidings. That staf seemed to have a very evil presence about it. I would advise you to let the paladin destroy it. I have in my possession another staff of great [power]. I can tell you about if you give up your quest for the paladin and the dark staff. However if you with to [locate the paladin] I will help you since you did help me.'

    You say, 'What power?'

Whiahdi says 'I have come to know many spirits from other realms. they speak of a being known as Tarlang who resides in the Realm of Discord in a area known as the Nobles Causeway. He has wronged many of my kin and I wish to see him pay for what he has done. If you bring me his head. I will reward you with a weapon of great power. He believes himself to be indestructible, but he is not. In fact I think you have what it takes to destroy him.'

Head to Nobles Causeway to find Tarlang, along the left path at the end of the tunnel. He is a blue /con. If you have completed the previous steps, hailing him will cause him to respawn as a red /con (to level 70). The red-con can quad for 3200, can rampage, and has an AE melee/casting slow and DoT. This definitely requires a few groups, but probably not a full raid (depending on your gear, of course). He will AE immediately when you hail him.

He stays up for 25 minutes after being hailed. If you fail to kill him or he despawns, you must go back to Whiahdi and say "What power" again, or else Tarlang will ignore you while in the blue-con form.

Once he's dead, loot Tarlang's Head. A chest can spawn with additional loot. Bring the head back to Whiahdi.

Whiahdi says, 'Take this weapon for helping me. I regret giving away a weapon of such power, but having it near me was most unsettling. Do not ask how I obtained it.'

You receive Soulwhisper, a.k.a. necromancer epic 1.5. You also receive a new title, "Deathspeaker," and 5 AAs. Reward: Soulwhisper
