Margyn McCann says 'Maybe so, however, there are some who may be too much fer ye to handle.I'll need to know if ye're a [young shaman] or a [standin' member of the court].'

You say, 'I am a young shaman'

Margyn McCann says 'We seek a former member who dared to curse the righteousness of the Tribunal. We'll have his head for that remark. His name is Granin O'Gill and he has run to the wastelands of Everfrost seeking safe haven. Find him. Return his head to me. Do so, and earn the ninth circle spell, Spirit o' the Bear. Go at once!'

Granin O’Gill may be found wandering the eastern half of Everfrost Peaks near the giant statue. He hits for a max of 20 and is a spell caster. Kill him and loot the Barbarian Head.

Turn in the Barbarian Head to Margyn McCann:

Margyn McCann says 'We can now rest assured that justice has been served. Ye'll be a valuable asset to our court. Take and remember this spell, Spirit o' the Bear. I hope ye've attained the necessary skills to scribe it. If not, I'm sure ye soon will. Go now, and serve justice.'

You say, 'What ice goblins?'

Lysbith McNaff says 'The ice goblins have plagued our community fer some time now. At times, they even manage to get inside our walls. Fer the most part, they prey on travelers who pass through Everfrost Peaks. Since they're a weak race, we employ our youngest warriors to [protect the pass].'

You say, 'I will protect the pass.'

Lysbith McNaff says 'Then travel to the Everfrost Peaks and take this pack with ye. I want ye to return this pack to me when it is filled with the beaded ice necklaces o' the ice goblins. Ivan McMannus' Remains (Normal): Renth McLanis may be found in McDaniels Smokes & Spirits at +370, -280, or via the Find function (he is a Warrior Guildmaster).

You say, 'Hail, Renth McLanis'

Renth McLanis says 'Hail, ______! Have ye come to train? I train all warriors. All Wolves o' the North must be strong warriors and swift as well. Are ye a young wolf, then? If so, maybe ye can [assist Renth] with his wee problem, eh?'

You say, 'I will assist you.'

Renth McLanis says 'I was ordered by Kylan O'Danos to personally escort a young warrior sent to fetch the remains of his cousin, Ivan McMannus. I forgot and spent me greater time testing out the fine spirits. Now I must find the courier and the remains. Will ye [search for the courier]?'

You say, 'I will search for the courier.'

Renth McLanis says 'Thank ye, _____! Go to Everfrost Peaks and seek out Arnis McLish. Ask him where Megan, the courier, is. Once ye find Megan, would you ask her where Ivan's remains are? Please go, at once!'

Arnis McLish may be found in Everfrost Peaks near the entrance ramp to Black Burrow at -1595, -175. He will run eastward to the tree at -1090, -960, attacking monsters along the way.

You say, 'Hail, Arnis McLish'

Arnis McLish says 'My word!! I cannot believe how cold it is out here. I must keep running around just to keep warm.'

You say, 'Where is Megan?'

Arnis McLish says 'I heard she got lost on the plains. You should ask her dog, Snowflake, where she is. I hear he is somewhere around the pass to Halas.'

Snowflake may be found at +2020, -1160, near Bryndin McMill and Lish McMarrin.

You say, 'Hail, Snowflake'

Snowflake says 'Grrrrrr!!'

You say, 'Where is Megan?'

Snowflake says 'Ruff.. Ruff.. Woof..'

Snowflake will slowly walk away to the east, stopping at the pillars of the tower at (+2045, +3835). Regardless of whether Megan is there or not, he will slowly walk back to the tree by Bryndin McMill. You can make him return to Megan's tower during the return trip by asking asking him again "Where is Megan?"

Megan OReilly stands outside the tower to the right of the pillars at (+2060, -3870) and will frequently walk to the bank of the frozen river at (+2025, -4240). Wandering orcs will sometimes attack her so you might have to wait for her.

You say, 'Hail, Megan OReilly'

Megan OReilly says 'Brrrr.. It.. Is sooo.. c-cold!! I never.. sh-should've j-joined.. the.. the W-wolves of the N-north!!'

You say, 'Where are Ivan's remains?'

Megan OReilly says 'You were sent to retrieve the remains? I am sorry, I lost them. It was not my fault! There was no escort as I was told. I got lost returning to Halas and ended up on a frozen river. The ice broke and the remains were scattered into the freezing water. Will you [dive for the remains]?'

You say, 'I will dive for the remains.'

Megan OReilly says 'Thank the Tribunal!! I would have, but I cannot swim. Take this chest. Fill it with the four pieces which fell below the surface. I know not what else lies within. When you fill the box and combine the items, return it to Renth. Good luck, ______.'

You receive a 4-slot Empty Box, which identifies as "Box For Ivan's Remains."

Southeast of Megan's tower, there is a hole in the frozen river at +1375, -4585; grab an Enduring Breath from someone and go diving. Under the ice are various goblins ("goblin diver" and "ice goblin diver") who are KoS. Three of the pieces of the remains are ground spawns found on the river bottom and look like bags.

Barbarian Femur: +1405, -4570, -190
Barbarian Jaw: +1465, -4500, -230
Barbarian Skull: +1580, -3390, -245

The final item, Barbarian Rib, is dropped by a "goblin diver" found between the spawn spots for the jaw and the skull. Kill it for the final item, a Barbarian Rib.

Combine the four items in the box to craft a Box of Remains (identifies as "Box of Ivan's Remains"). Head back to Halas and give Renth the Box of Remains.

Renth LcLanis says 'Good work!! Kylan will never know o' me negligence. I owe ye one, young warrior. Let's call it even with this. Twas found by one of our foraging parties. It is still useful. And... I believe ye can assist with a more [dangerous matter] as well.'

Karana Clovers (Normal): You'll need to talk to Jinkus (he is in the shaman's guild). He asks if you want to contribute to the guild. He tells you to find Halana and tell her "Jinkus sent me to assist you". She is located in Ye Majik shop in Halas) She askes you to take a note to Einhorst in the Barbarian fishing village in West Karana and return with their monthly Karana Clover shipment.

To get to the village, go though Black Burrow to Qeynos Hills, follow the mountains to the left until you hit a path, follow the path to the left, you will zone into West Karana. In West Karana follow path until it splits turn right and head from the path towards the horizon, the fishing village is not far. Einhorst is in one of the buildings.

Upon giving him the note, you'll receive coin, experience, and a shipment to return to Holana. You also get the following faction adjustments:
+Wolves of the North
+Shaman of Justice
+Merchants of Halas
+Steel Warriors
-Rogues of the White Rose

When you give the shipment to Holana, you'll receive coin, experience, an item (usually a 5th level shaman spell, but on occasion you can get a pretty decent item such as a polar bear cloak), and the following faction adjustments:
+Shaman of Justice
+Merchants of Halas
-Circle of Unseen Hands
-Coalition of Tradefolk
-Ebon Mask

Need missing dialogues, current faction hits if any, /loc of quest mobs, list of additional quest rewards.
Langseax (Normal): As of May 11, 2004, we have unconfirmed reports that factions are broken on this quest at the moment, and that all factions are lowered instead of some being raised, so be careful. If someone could test this in-game and let us know whether it's still broken or has been fixed, please let us know.

This is the quest to obtain the Langseax or the Langseax of the Wolves. You need a very good faction to complete this quest (amiable at least).

Complete Version: Go to Renth McLanis in the tavern across from Mac's Kilts. Ask him "What dangerous matter?". He tells you of a crime. Agree to hunt the murderer. Renth then sends you to see Dok in Dok's Cigars. Find out all you can about the crime. He tells you to go see the leader of Clan McMannus. This is the fishing village located in West Karanas. Speak to the leader. Then speak to Ulrich McMannus and he tells you Frostbite can track prey if he has a piece of sweaty clothing. Return to Dok and ask him "Where is the sweaty shirt?". He then tells you he sold it to Tundra Jack. Find Tundra Jack on the tundra of Everfrost. He will tell you that Iceberg is using it for a collar and that you can distract Iceberg with his favorite meal, Lion Delight. Go back to Halas and speak to Teria O' Danos. Do the lion meat quest (you get coin and faction as well as the Lion Delight). Once you have Lion Delight, be sure to bury it lower in your container then your normal food to prevent it being eaten by you. Take the Lion Delight to Iceberg and receive the shirt (NO DROP, LORE ITEM) and faction adjustment. Now run to the village and give the shirt to Frostbite. (NOTE: Frostbite will wait for the murderer to spawn before he takes off. He walks pretty fast so I wouls strongly suggest that you have Spirit of Wolf on you. It also helps to have a party member along that can track because I lost sight of Frostbite many times and have had to start over. Also, Frostbite likes to fight things along the way. Help him out. Be very careful not to target Frostbite by accident!) Frostbite will lead you right to the criminal. The murderer will be either Paglan or Basil. Paglan is tougher to kill and probably in his low to mid 20's, Basil is around level 20. Kill whomever the dog leads you to, hope he drops a Barbarian head and then return to Halas with the head. Give the head to Renth for faction, coin, and of course, the Langseax (if you have Basil's head) or the Langseax of the Wolves (if it is Paglan's head). I am not sure what triggers which criminal you get or even if you can just kill both and get both heads, but it seems that you wil normally get Basil.

Complete the Lion Meat Shipment quest to get Lion Delight. Run to Iceberg, give Lion Delight, receive shirt, faction, exp. Run to Frosbite, give shirt, gain exp. Kill the criminal. Return head for faction, coin, exp and Langseax. One thing to keep in mind is that your faction drops a good deal with the thieves guild with this quest, and the banker in Halas is a thief, making it possible that doint this quest can cause you to get kos if you try to use the bank. Also, you need a high faction with the Wolves of the North to finish the quest.

The faction changes are as follows: When you complete the lion meat quest: Shaman of Justice (+1), Wolves of the North (+1) Merchants of Halas (+1), Rogues of the White Rose (-1); When you trick Iceberg and get the Sweaty Shirt: Shaman of Justice (+1), Wolves of the North (+1), Merchants of Halas (+1), Steel Warriors (+1), Rogues of the White Rose (-1); When you kill Paglan or Basil: Rogues of the White Rose (-1); When you turn in Paglan's or Basil's head for your reward: Shaman of Justice (-1), Wolves of the North (+1), Merchants of Halas (-1), Rogues of the White Rose (+1); Faction adjustments overall: Shaman of Justice (+1), Wolves of the North (+3), Merchants of Halas (+1), Steel Warriors (+1), Rogues of the White Rose (-2).

Be warned that the Halas Banker is part of the Rogues of the White Rose, so you may lose banking privileges if you lose too much of that faction.

Need all dialogues, current faction hits, /loc of quest mobs, additional quest items, quest mobs, details to get both Langseax and Langseax of the Wolves. Reward: Langseax
Reward: Langseax of the Wolves

Lion Meat Shipment (Normal): This quest is also a part of the Langseax quest, but can be done on its own. A good idea is to combine this quest with the note to Einhurst quest since they both go to the same place.

Return four of them and you will be given items that show your loyalty to our Clan.

Oct 2
Today was an especially cold day. Never stay in Halas again. The only bright point was I met a Master Brewer named Garsen who agreed to join our group and help us explore the uncharted depths of Permafrost. He seems to speak only in rhyme which is a bit annoying but his skill with weapons makes up for it. He said he has to keep practicing because he is writing countless books of Brewing Limericks.

Oct 3
Everfrost Mountains must be the coldest place on Norrath, and to make matters worse we were almost killed by a Mammoth that appeared over a peak. Tolan was almost slain but Garsen saved him.

Oct 4
We discovered underground caverns. The only thing more frightening than
monsters is Garsen opening his mouth. I'd say, " I need to sit and rest". He'd follow with; "Do you really think that's best?" Tolan said, "We could really use a Cleric". Garsen replied, "Don't be a hysteric". I can't take it, can't take it.

Page 75 reads:

Oct 5
Garsen was quite offended by Tolan's outburst today. Tolan said that our food tasted like it came from the sewer and Garsen, as usual, replied with a rhyme, "It could taste better with a skewer." Tolan made him realize how irritating his voice is. One more rhyme, ONE more damn rhyme, and I'll kill him myself.

Oct 6
Garsen was quiet all day today and didn't mutter a word even when he was almost killed and needed help.

However, when we stopped to camp we had to sleep right next to each other because of our location. Garsen was murmuring rhymes in his sleep. Every damn word out of his mouth rang in my ears. Each syllable lingered just long enough to drive me crazy. I kept praying that the next word would not rhyme. Satisfaction never came.

Tolan and I talked and decided to help him sleep a bit better.

Oct 7
We rifled through our departed friends things and found the unfinished limericks and component charts on the brewing trade. After destroying many Tolan suggested someone might want to buy the rest. We'll try to sell them in Halas.

Page 76 reads:

Oct 23
Just got out of prison and finally received my possessions back. I arrived back in Halas on the 9th and sold the limericks to a Barbarian who paid a hefty amount of silver for the work. As I was walking down the street a Blacksmith said, "I'll have to charge my usual fee of 12 copper." His patron replied, "If I pay you that much I'll be a pauper." I had no idea if the rhyme was intentional or not but uncontrollable rage swept over me. Slowly, ever so slowly, I turned, grabbed the patron by the throat and squeezed. It took six guards to free him. One guard gave me a strong warning and said, "You must now leave our city". Which was fine but another guard said right afterward, "Do this again and face the committee."
Before I could realize it, my hands were wrapped around the guard's throat. Jail wasn't that bad save the rats, bats, mildew, and stench. Unusually, the jail served rat sandwiches everyday. At least no one has said a rhyme to me since. The end to the horror seems far from sight. Rhyming winter nightmares have sadly impaled me. Writhing with nightly havoc, sanity eludes me.

Turn in the three pages to Thadres Thyme.

Thadres Thyme says 'Thank you very much. Now, please help me find all three missing pages.'
Thadres Thyme says 'Thank you very much. Now, please help me find all three missing pages.'
