You say, 'What powers?'

Prime Patriarch Vuzx says 'A Patriarch of Cabilis must learn to survive the hard way, by heading into the wild lands and mastering the creatures that reside in them. First you must learn to defeat even the most insignificant of nuisances. Go from this temple and return to me with four Leech Husks that have been skinned from the creatures by your own claws.'

Blood Ink (Unsolved): War Historian Kobl (General Supplies) may be found in the Warriors Guild at -596, -237. He's on Find (Ctrl+F).

You say, 'Hail War Historian Kobl'

War Historian Kobl says, 'You have come to learn, have you not? I have knowledge of importance to young warriors of the legion. Or perhaps you are a scribe seeking my [unique writing materials]!'

You say, 'What unique writing materials?'

War Historian Kobl says, 'You must be a scribe of sorts? Always glad to assist a talented youth. I make two things unique to Cabilis and important to any future scribe. I can create [blood ink] and [illweed parchment].'

You say, 'What blood ink?'

War Historian Kobl says, 'If blood ink is what you seek, only I can provide it. I use a unique blend prepared by my secret method. I can supply you with a vial of blood ink, but first you must fetch me four ingredients. I need globules of blood from certain creatures. I need globules from the carnivorous plants, leeches, and mosquitoes. I also need globules from the blood pit of the Tower of Death. Bring me these and be quick, or the blood will disintegrate.'

Need all dialogues, quest mobs and their /locs, quest items, current faction hits, quest rewards, additional zones, confirmation about how to obtain illweed, etc.
Cabilis Pale Ale (Cabilis) (Normal): In the Tink 'N Bubble at night there is an NPC named Grype. He spawns in the same place as Clerk Doval. If you hail him, he'll just be finishing his ale. Go buy four Cabilis Pale Ales and give them to him. You'll be rewarded with a loud burp, some experience, and coin.

He'll also tell you not to mess with a Blue Talon. If you ask him what a Blue Talon is he'll take a swipe at you (text, not an actual attack) and tell you that the Blue Talons were the bruisers of the westside. Whether or not there is more to this is unknown.
Claw of the Apprentice (#3) (Normal): Elder Patriarch Ixthal may be found on the second floor of the Shaman guild in East Cabilis. At the end of the previous quest, he asked you to come back when you wished to continue training.

You say, 'I wish to continue training.'

Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'That's the spirit. For your next task we will require you to show your skills at locating a [missing member] of the Patriarchs of Cabilis.'

You say, 'What missing member?'

Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'His name is Welgaz and he tends to roam the continent in search of a perfect training area. We have not heard back from him in a while now and we grow worried. You must now go forth and find him. Tell him I have sent you to find him.'

Welgaz may be found in Warsliks Woods near the West Cabilis zone line hiding out as "an injured traveller."

You say, 'Ixthal sent me.'

an injured traveller says 'Oh, has he now? I can't return yet, I don't have the strength. If you were to [help] me I think I might be able to make it back though.'

You say, 'How can I help?'

an injured traveller says 'Good. I have not eaten in a while so I will ask you to get me some Legion Lager and Noodles for my journey back.'

Both Legion Lager and Noodles are crafted, by brewing and baking respectively. To craft Legion Lager, combine A Giant Blood Sac (dropped by leeches in the Swamp of No Hope), a Bottle (purchasable at brewing merchants), Deadbone Barley (foraged in the Field of Bone), and a Flask of Bloodwater (purchasable in various places, including Cabilis) in a brew barrel, trivial 36. To craft Noodles, combine a Cup of Flour (purchasable at baking merchants), a Water Flask, and some variety of eggs in an Oven or Spit, trivial 31. Snake eggs are probably the easiest version to obtain. Bring the Legion Lager and Noodles back to the traveller.

an injured traveller says 'You have returned with what I asked for. Here, take this note back to Ixthal and let him know I am safe and will be making the return trip soon.'

He gives you a note to return to Ixthal. Give him the note and your Claw of the Scout.

Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'I will also need your Claw of the Scout my young apprentice. . .'
Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'Because of you, we now know that Welgaz is safe and will be returning to us shortly. Take this to represent our appreciation for your deeds completed here today. Please return soon once you have decided to [aid the cause].'
You gain experience!! Reward: Claw of the Apprentice

Claw of the Cub (#1) (Normal): Prime Patriarch Vuzx is located on the second floor of the Temple of Terror.

You say, 'Hail, Prime Patriarch Vuzx'

Prime Patriarch Vuzx says, 'Greetings. I only train those who follow the path of the Patriarchs of Cabilis and have yet to develop their [powers] over the beasts of the wild, or maybe you are trained and are here to [help aid in our cause]?'

You say, 'I will help aid his cause.'

Prime Patriarch Vuzx says, 'Good. Well we shall see how well you match up with our needs with this first mission. Go out beyond the safety of our city walls and bring back proof of your inner strength and training. This proof will be in the form of a sarnak raider brain, a froglok bounder javelin, an Iksar bandit mask, and a mandible from a rogue shaman.'

You'll need to head out into the surrounding area of Cabilis to collect these items :
- a sarnak crypt raider can be found in the Lake of Ill Omen, near the explorer tower ;
- a froglok bounder can easily be found on an island in the Swamp of No Hope at about -1000, 2500 ;
- an iksar bandit can be found in the pit in the Field of Bone ;
- a rogue shaman can also be found in the Field of Bone in the evening northeast of Kurn's Tower.

Hand these four items in for your claw.

Prime Patriarch Vuzx says 'I said do not return without a sarnak raider brain, a goblin hunter javelin, an iksar bandit mask, and a mandible from a rogue shaman.'
Prime Patriarch Vuzx says 'I said do not return without a sarnak raider brain, a goblin hunter javelin, an iksar bandit mask, and a mandible from a rogue shaman.'
Prime Patriarch Vuzx says 'I said do not return without a sarnak raider brain, a goblin hunter javelin, an iksar bandit mask, and a mandible from a rogue shaman.'
Prime Patriarch Vuzx says 'You have done well on your way to becoming a great patriarch. Now I must tend to other pressing issues. Take your reward and wear it proudly.'

Your faction standing with Scaled Mystics got better.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis got better.
You gain experience!! Reward: Claw of the Cub

Claw of the Mature Patriarch (#5) (Normal): Zreezas may be found above the GM (1029, -187, 60).

You say, 'Hail, Zreezas'

Zreezas says 'Lower your voice in here. I [cannot let the others know I am speaking to you].'

You say, 'Why cannot let the others know I am speaking to you?'

Zreezas says 'Because it is a [terrible secret] that is being guarded by the Patriarchs.'

You say, 'What terrible secret?'

Zreezas says 'I believe one of their [followers] has turned against them and is organizing a force to overthrow the Patriarchs of Cabilis.'

You say, 'What followers?'

Zreezas says 'That I do not know fully yet. If only I knew his [name]. . .If you wish to gain this information for yourself I would suggest searching in spiritual areas. That would be your best bet to find any more information.'

You need to retrieve two Hidden Plans from "a corrupt spiritualist" in City of Mist and Kaesora. The spiritualist in Kaesora is near Xalgoz. In City of Mist, he is in the north end of a small building. (This part can be skipped, as long as you collect the three Symbols of Lativ, and hand them in to Ixthal).

Hand Zreezas in the hidden plans and follow the conversation, which refers you to ask Ixthal about "rumored attacks" (which Ixthal will deny). Hand Ixthal the note Zreezas gave you (Lativ's Plans) in return for the hidden plans. He tells you to find rankings from three close to the traitor to reveal his location.

These three are the loyal followers found in the SE corner of the hidden valley in Dreadlands(Iksar), NW of giants in Frontier Mountains on a rock(Sarnak), and in Burning Woods near -820 -4080 on the east zone wall(Sarnak); each dropping a symbol of Lativ. Hand in the three symbols and your claw to Ixthal to receive your new Claw of the Mature Patriarch.

Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'I require their three rankings and your Claw of the Young Patriarch.'
Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'I require their three rankings and your Claw of the Young Patriarch.'
Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'I require their three rankings and your Claw of the Young Patriarch.'

Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'Well done ______, as promised here is your reward, the Claw of the Mature Patriarch. As far as the location of Lativ goes, that is a matter that needs to be dealt with by the elders of the Patriarchs. Go now, and continue your training ______.'

You gain experience!!

Need all dialogues, /loc of quest mobs, etc. Reward: Claw of the Mature Patriarch

Claw of the Scout (#2) (Normal): Begin by hailing Elder Patriarch Ixthal. He's on the second floor of the SK/Shaman guild at loc 1052, -224.

Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'Hello to you as well. I am Elder Patriarch Ixthal and I continue training when the Prime Patriarch becomes overwhelmed with duties. I will train you if you seek to one day [become a Patriarch of Cabilis].'

You say, 'I would like to become a Patriarch of Cabilis.'

Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'I thought you might. I can sense your spirit is strong. For your first mission, you will need to use the spirits to guide you to collect some [rare items] we need on a daily basis in order to keep up with the demands of the city. This mission will also be great [training] for you.'

You say, 'What rare items?'

Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'We gather several items that we trade with the Hierophants. These items include a cracked femur, creeper cabbage, and lichenclover. Once you have all of these items, return them to me with your Claw of the Cub and you shall be rewarded.'

Now head out and collect the items he speaks of. The cracked femur is quite common, dropping off Greater Scalebones in the area. The creeper cabbage drops off the Man eating creeper, found in the Swamp of No Hope. Lichenclover can be foraged from several zones, but it may be easier to buy it from the bazaar. Then simply turn them in, along with your Claw of the Cub from the previous quest, to receive your reward.

Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'I told you not to return without a cracked femur, creeper cabbage, some lichenclover, and your Claw of the Cub.'
Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'I told you not to return without a cracked femur, creeper cabbage, some lichenclover, and your Claw of the Cub.'
Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'I told you not to return without a cracked femur, creeper cabbage, some lichenclover, and your Claw of the Cub.'
Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'You have returned unharmed with the items I asked for. Here is your reward now. If you wish to [continue training] please let me know.'
You gain experience!! Reward: Claw of the Scout

Claw of the Spiritual Elder (#6) (Normal): Zreezas may be found above the GM at 1026.47, -189.62, 60.35.

You say, 'Is his name Lativ?'

Zreezas says 'Would that be the traitor's name? Hmm. . .that name does sound familiar. He had once gained the rank of young patriarch before he was banished from the Patriarchs of Cabilis. Now where [Lativ] is I may know.'

You say, 'Where is Lativ?'

Zreezas says 'I have heard talk of him training in a jungle region. Go seek him out and return with whatever you can retrieve from his demise.'

Kill Lativ in Trakanon's Teeth. He may be found in a ruined building at 2695, 815. Loot his remains and bring them back to Zreezas.

You gain experience!!

Zreezas says 'What is this? This cannot be Lativ. It seems as though he has gained more power than we have been aware of thus far. Take the remains to Prime Patriarch Vuzx. He should know what is going on from this point forward.'

Take the remains to Prime Patriarch Vuzx.

You gain experience!!

Prime Patriarch Vuzx says 'Are these what I think they are?! How long have you been doing our work from the shadows young one? No matter now you have seen too much as it is. We have been on a search for the four pieces of the [Seal of Choatl].'

You say, 'What is the Seal of Choatl?'

Prime Patriarch Vuzx says 'The Amulet of Choatl is the seal that protected the pure energies of the Sacred Figurine from being tainted. It appears as thought Lativ knew that by destroying this seal we have no power against him now that he has the Sacred Figurine. The only hope we have is that someone is [capable] of finding the four pieces of the Seal.'

You say, 'I am capable.'

Prime Patriarch Vuzx says 'If you believe you are, I will entrust this container to you. It will be the foundation needed to repair the Seal. Combine the seal fragments with heady kiola and the remains of Lativ and you should be able to restore the Seal. Using his remains in combination with the seal, will weaken him. Go now and seek out the Seal's pieces. Once you have combined them all go and [find Lativ]. Use the Seal against him and rid us of his nuisance. Return to me once you have [completed your mission].'

You receive Vuzx's Container.

You say, 'Where do I find Lativ?'

Prime Patriarch Vuzx says 'You will be able to find him where we used to train for rituals. He will be expecting you in the jungle where he feels close to home.'

Retrieve the Seals from the City of Mist and do the combine to craft the Seal of Choatl.

Find Lativ in the Emerald Jungle at -682.62, 4049.52, -52.50.

You say, 'Hail, Lativ'

Lativ says 'Fool! Haven't you learned by now my wrath is absolute!'

Hand him the Seal of Choatl.

Lativ says 'What is this?! It can't be!'

Lativ appears to despawn and respawn and immediately attacks (level 50). Note: despite having the appearance of being undead he flees at approx 10% health. Loot the Sacred Figurine from his corpse and head back to Prime Patriarch Vuzx.

You say, 'I have completed my mission.'

Prime Patriarch Vuzx says 'Ah, if what you speak is true, hand over the Sacred Figurine and your Claw of the Mature Patriarch to Elder Patriarch Ixthal to reward you properly.'

Give him the figurine.

Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'You have honored your fellow Patriarchs ______. Jon us now in celebration as you gain the rank, Elder Spiritualist!'

You gain experience!!

You receive the Claw of the Spiritual Elder. Reward: Claw of the Spiritual Elder

Claw of the Young Patriarch (#4) (Normal): Elder Patriarch Ixthal may be found on the second floor of the Shaman guild. At the end of the previous quest, he told you to come back when you had decided to aid the cause.

You say, 'I have decided to aid our cause.'

Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'I thought you may, ______. We have an issue at hand that you may be able to help with. It seems as though there are rumors of the sarnak factions gathering forces. We must find out all the information we can regarding this situation. Travel to the kly's and seek what they know. Place all of their letters in this tome, which shall combine their mystical energies. Bring back the completed message to me with your claw of the apprentice and you will be rewarded.'

Elder Patriarch Ixthal wants you to collect 8x "Battle Plans" from the Crypt of Dalnir. These all share the same item name, but there are eight versions of it (all LORE). They are confirmed to drop from "a kly evoker" and reported (not confirmed) to drop from cohorts and believers.

Once you have all eight, combine them in the container he gave you and give the result to Elder Patriarch Ixthal, along with your Claw of the Apprentice:

Elder Patriarch Ixthal says 'I see you have returned with the information asked. Hmm . . . this doesn't bode well. I will need some time to think about the situation now. Take this and wear it proudly. You are a Young Patriarch now.'

Crusader's Test of Betrayal (#5) (Normal): Lord Qyzar is standing on the parapet one level up in the SK guild, at +1005, -150. At the end of the previous quest, he mentioned a [matter of betrayal].

You say, 'What matter of betrayal?'

Lord Qyzar says 'One of our agents, a hero by the name of Goxnok, has found evidence that the book entitled 'Charasis' has been taken from this temple and is to be delivered to an unknown foe in the Outlands. Go at once to the lower levels of the temple and greet Goxnok. Hurry, before he departs!'

Drop down to the bottom of the western tower to find an Iksar crusader at +1010, -100, -24.

You say, 'Hail, an Iksar crusader'

an Iksar crusader clicks his heels together at attention. 'Hail, follower of Pain.'

You say, 'What about the Charasis Tome?'

an Iksar crusader says 'The Charasis Tome, the tome of the old city of Charasis. It was taken from this temple and must be returned. The one sent to [apprehend the traitor] who stole the tome must be [ready to depart] with me at once.'

You say, 'I have been sent to apprehend the traitor.'

an Iksar crusader spies the khukri sheath at your side. 'This cannot be. I was told a duke would attend the matter. Still, if the Lords have sent you, then you must be able to complete the task. The [traitor] most certainly must be stopped from delivering the [Charasis Tome]. The [recipients] appear quite formidable and I cannot handle such a deed, not single-handed.'

You say, 'Who is the traitor?'

an Iksar crusader says 'I am afraid I do not know. The babble is that he is from Cabilis, but he could have been a disguised sarnak. Who knows? The tink is that at night within the Outland territory, near the old skinless outpost, they are to meet. We should depart at once. Go get outfitted and let me know when you are [ready to depart].'

You say, 'Who are the recipients?'

an Iksar crusader shows signs of fear and his face turns olive. 'I do not know. The [spider riders]!! I have only heard tales of them from dying lizards. Evil skinless stubs. From the wounds inflicted on the lizards, I can tell they are vicious opponents. Bloated and frayed flesh, disembowelment. Their steeds must have also joined the fray, for some of the victims were covered in webs.'

You say, 'What are spider riders?'

an Iksar crusader says 'As I have reported, the babble states they appear to be skinless stubs who ride giant spiders. Most encounters occur when the moon is high. Little is known about them and only in recent weeks have they begun to appear.'

If you say you will "apprehend the traitor" it will circle back to the first response.

You say, 'I am ready to depart.'

an Iksar crusader slings his pack on his back and locks his sheath. 'Very well. I shall follow shortly. You must depart on your own. Go to the plains of the old skinless outpost. Beware, they have returned and patrol the hillside. Keep an eye on the gates of the outpost. I will be disguised within their ranks, I shall kneel as a sign. Give me this coin as your token.'

You receive A Coin (identifies as "Token of Goxnok").

Head to Firiona Vie to the "good" elf outpost and look for Tracker Azeal at +670, -2380, +173, who is secretly Crusader Goxnok in disguise. You need to be at least level 30 or he won't talk to you. Also you don't want to hail him there because he doesn't want to break cover, but if you do happen to hail him, you'll see:

You say, 'Hail, Tracker Azeal'

Tracker Azeal looks over at you and gives you an awkward smile, then quickly looks away. You notice he isn't like most of the elves you've seen. You can't quite put your finger on it, but for one thing he smells like he hasn't bathed in weeks.

Shortly before 9 PM game time, he despawns and reappears in a form indifferent to everyone, then walks out of the outpost.

Tracker Azeal says 'I'm going to start my patrol. I'll report back by morning.'

This version appears to have an extra space at the end of his name.

He takes off running toward a spot on the cliffs, then scoots east a short distance and ends up near a boulder at -2560, -1520, where he kneels (the sign he said to watch for). He still doesn't respond to hails. Give him the coin.

Tracker Azeal begins to pull his face off.. it is a disguise!! 'Aha!! You have made it!! I cannot see well in this disguise, but I thought I smelled you. I have [news of the Charasis tome].'

He respawns as Hero Goxnok.

You say, 'What news of the Charasis tome?'

Hero Goxnok says 'The Charasis Tome has been scribed and now another copy exists. The traitor obviously wants to keep a copy for himself. I am told you will deliver both copies to Lord Qyzar along with your zealot khukri and you shall be awarded that of a crusader. Let us rest for a minute and then I shall show you the meeting place.'

After a moment, he leaves, saying:

Hero Goxnok says 'Come along. If we get separated, look for the humanoid wolf camp and beyond the tunnel, you shall find the meeting place of the spider riders and the traitor.'

After some running, he pauses at -375, -720, +67.

Hero Goxnok stops abruptly and shudders with fear. 'Look!! There, past the wolf people. Near an ancient tunnel can be found the meeting place. I fear we may be too late. I thought I saw a shadow dash from the tunnels, but I did not see any spider riders. We'll see when we reach it'

After another moment:

Hero Goxnok looks over at you and sizes you up before continuing on. He says, 'We should continue, follow me.'

He runs northeast, cutting across the edge of a drolvarg encampment, and approaches what used to be the drolvarg tunnel but is currently where the good elves hang out. When he reaches +625, -1785, +134, he meets up with a drachnid spy. (Both of them may be on Greenmist faction). Neither of them says anything, but they begin casting various spells: Goxnok casts Grim Aura and summons a pet; the spy casts Skin Like Wood on himself, Goxnok's pet, and Goxnok. You can, of course, attack before they do all this, which might make the fight easier.

You say, 'Hail, a drachnid spy'

a drachnid spy looks upon you with evil eyes and you hear a horrid chatter. Hairs rise from the spider's thorax. 'Greetings, creature. What a fine meal you would make!'

It attacks.

a drachnid spy says 'You shall not take the tome from me!! I shall snack upon your blood-drained corpse.'

Kill the spy and loot a Charasis Tome, then hail Goxnok again.

You say, 'Hail, Hero Goxnok'

Hero Goxnok sighs slowly, seeing the confusion on your face. He says, 'Yes, ______, I am the traitor. What I can gain by giving up this tome outweighs any patriotic obligations I may have once had. That city is dead, it is now time for us to grasp at our own destinies. I now give you two choices, Iksar. You can walk away and never speak of this to anyone......or you can die. What will it be?'

It's time to kill him. Beware his Harm Touch.

Hero Goxnok says 'Die by the power of Greenmist!!'

Once he's dead:

Hero Goxnok's corpse says 'You shall now be a wanted man.. The Union of Vie shall punish you.'

Loot a Charasis Tome Copy. Return to Lord Qyzar and give him both tomes and your Zealot's Khukri.

Lord Qyzar says 'You disappoint me. I must have the Charasis Tome and its copy along with your zealot khukri.'
Lord Qyzar says 'You disappoint me. I must have the Charasis Tome and its copy along with your zealot khukri.'
Lord Qyzar says 'Congratulations! You are now a true crusader, but there is no time for celebration. We have lost two of our operatives. Crusaders Golin and Fodcod were dispatched to seek out an ancient artifact, the [visceral dagger]. Where they have gone, I do not know. They have been gone far too long. Find them and return the dagger to me with your crusader khukri and you shall be a hero.'
Your faction standing with Crusaders Of Greenmist got better.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis got better.
You gain experience!!
You receive 1 platinum from Lord Qyzar. Reward: Crusader's Khukri

Crusader's Test of Pain (#2) (Normal): Lord Gikzic may be found in the Temple of Terror, up a flight via transporter at +1035, -165, +46. At the end of the previous quest, he mentioned a [greater concern].

You say, 'What greater concern?'

Lord Gikzic says 'A tome has been taken from us. An expeditionary unit was returning to Cabilis when they were overtaken by a band of froglok raiders. The odds were greatly in their favor, but our forces would soon cut them down. Then, as abruptly as the battle began, it came to an end. The frogs retreated. The only item they took was an ancient tome entitled 'The Origins of Pain'. What the frogs want with it is unknown to us. Will you [retrieve the tome]?'

You say, 'I will retrieve the tome.'

Lord Gikzic says 'The tome ripped open in battle. There were but ten pages. This is one of those pages. You must find the remainder and the tome binder. Place the pages within the binder and once you combine them, the binder shall magically lock. Do not look upon the pages, for the words would bring a great madness upon you. Your task is simply to seek out the froglok raiders and return the magically locked tome to me. Return it with a knave's khukri and I shall give you a more powerful weapon.'

You receive a Page of a Tome (identifies as "Page Ten of 'Origins Of Pain'"). It's a note/book but is blank.

Go to the bandit camp east of Cabilis, in the northern part of the Swamp of No Hope. Kill the froglok raiders there until you've collected the nine other pages. All but one page is LORE, but they can be traded. The raiders also sometimes drop a Tome Binder (identifies as "The Origins of Pain"), a NO TRADE 10-slot container. Combine the ten pages in the binder:

You have fashioned the items together to create something new!
You have fashioned Magically Locked Tome.

Give this to Gikzic.

Lord Gikzic says 'I shall keep this and you shall get no reward, unless you wield a knave's khukri. If so, then hand me that also and I shall give you a squire's khukri. A finer weapon to deal out pain.'

Give him the Knave's Khukri.

Lord Gikzic says 'You have done as instructed. You are wise to hand this tome to me. It could bring you nothing more than insanity. As your reward, you shall have the squire's khukri. Soon you shall wield the knight's khukri, but that is for another Lord of Pain to decide.'

Your faction standing with Crusaders Of Greenmist has been adjusted by +10.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis has been adjusted by +2.
You gain experience!!
You receive 3 gold from Lord Gikzic.

Reward: Squire's Khukri Reward: Squire's Khukri

Crusader's Test of Suffering (#3) (Normal): At the end of the previous quest, Lord Gikzic said it was for another Lord of Pain to decide whether you would wield the knight's khukri. Lord Korzin may be found at +1060, -170 (in the same room with Gikzic).

You say, 'Hail, Lord Korzin'

Lord Korzin says 'What is it you seek? Eternal suffering?'

You say, 'I seek eternal suffering.'

Lord Korzin says, 'Then follow the words of Cazic-Thule and may his blessed curses rain upon your soul as they shall on all of his faithful servants.'

You say, 'i accept the calling'

Lord Korzin says, 'As if you had a choice. Seek out the tower of Kurn and find the Skull of Torture. You should be able to easily recognize this skull as it glows with the power of Cazic-Thule. Return it to me with your squire's khukri and I shall reward you with the knight's khukri. Go at once.'

Go to Kurn's Tower and loot A Glowing Skull (identifies as "The Skull Of An Undead Cook") from various scalebone skeletons. It's TEMPORARY, so don't camp until you've finished the quest. Hand it in.

Lord Korzin says 'You will be rewarded with the knight's khukri when I have possession of your squire's khukri and the Skull of Torture.'

Turn in:

Lord Korzin says 'Excellent work! You are no squire. You are now a knight of the crusaders. Your next step shall be zealot. And every zealot wields a magical khukri.'

Your faction standing with Crusaders Of Greenmist has been adjusted by 10.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis has been adjusted by 2.
You receive 1 gold from Lord Korzin.
You receive 1 platinum from Lord Korzin.

You receive your Knight's Khukri. Reward: Knight's Khukri

Crusader's Test of the Hero (#6) (Normal): Lord Qyzar is standing on the parapet one level up in the SK guild, at +1005, -150. At the end of the previous quest, he mentioned the [visceral dagger].

You say, 'What of the visceral dagger?'

Lord Qyzar says 'The visceral dagger was an ancient torturing weapon. I do not know much of it other than that it was forged by a member of the Brood of Kotiz, but that was ages ago. He is surely dust by now.'

Now go play with the Kly Imprecators in Dalnir and bring back the visceral dagger (see details in that quest link) and your Crusader Khukri for the Hero's Khukri.

On handing it in:

Lord Qyzar says 'I am saddened by your failure to procure the visceral dagger and your crusader khukri. You are no hero!!'
Lord Qyzar gazes in astonishment at the dagger. 'Ahhh!! You have brought the sacred visceral dagger back to the Temple of Terror. Let all be aware that the great ______ has returned to Cabilis a hero!! You now wield the weapon of a hero. Hail, ______, hero of the Crusaders of Greenmist.'
Your faction standing with Crusaders Of Greenmist got better.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis could not possibly get any better.
You gain experience!!
You receive 3 platinum from Lord Qyzar. Reward: Hero's Khukri

Crusader's Test of the Lord (#7) (Normal): This is the 7th Crusader test.

You say, 'Hail, Arch Duke Xog'

Arch Duke Xog says, 'These are the sacred unholy grounds of the Crusaders of Greenmist and the Scaled Mystics. If you do not belong to us, you must leave this temple at once or learn great suffering in the name of Cazic-Thule.'

You say, 'What about the Crusaders of Greenmist?'

Arch Duke Xog appears surprised at your words. 'You know of Greenmist? The Unholy Khukri of Rile? We once had knowledge of this weapon, but when our great cities were destroyed in 1056 A.G., so, too, were all the great libraries. We lost all records. An explorer named [Argest] claimed to have found one library still intact. Pure babble.'

You say, 'Who is Argest?'

Arch Duke Xog says 'Once a Lord of Pain, Argest is now a great explorer. No lizard has seen more of Kunark than he. He returned one season ago to tell tales of an [ancient library]. He said that he believed that there he would find a tome which would reveal the location of the ancient crusader weapon, Greenmist.'

You say, 'What about the ancient libraries?'

Arch Duke Xog says 'There are many ancient libraries yet to be discovered. Our once great cities have been decimated, if not by our foes, then by nature itself. Within the outlands are many ruins which have yet to reveal themselves. We look forward to the discovery of these ruins by such explorers as Lord [Argest] the Great.'

You say, 'Where is argest?'

Arch Duke Xog becomes despondent at your question. 'Alas, our chance of locating Greenmist is lost as long as Argest remains missing. Reports have come in from the Legion's deep range patrols that he may be in the Frontier Mountain range. At least, that is where the patrol captain found Argest's walking staff. He might have been captured, killed or even digested!!'

PART I

First you must collect six scrolls. The scrolls are located in the following places:

I is dropped by the "failed crypt raider" in Kaesora.

He also drops a note that reads:

I have found one more of the scrolls and have learned the final three were en route to be rescribed in some ancient city called Torsis. When I find them I shall see that the final four are rejoined in my masters realm.

The reference to Torsis leads you to the City of Mist.

II, III, and IV are dropped by the Spectral Courier.

V is dropped by the dark librarian in Castle Mistmoore.

VI is dropped by the dark librarian assistant in Castle Mistmoore.

PART II

After collecting the scrolls, you must see and free the imprisoned Argest.

In the Frontier Mountains goblin caves at approximately -2110, +1720, -435, kill "a goblin penkeeper" and "a goblin penmaster" (and place holders) until you loot:

A Bone Key
A Bone Necklace
A Stone Key

An enslaved iksar (wearing chain armor) is found in the goblin caves at approximately -2165, +1635, -435 (left side spawn, the placeholder is "an iksar slave" on Legion of Cabilis faction).

You say, 'Hail, an enslaved iksar'

an enslaved iksar looks up at you. You can tell his spirit is broken. His scars speak of a severe beating.

You say, 'Where are the scrolls of Vok Na Zov?'

an enslaved iksar says, 'Forget them. I believe all six scrolls lie in the [Kaesora Library] and that is no safe place for any explorer. The scrolls are not readable by any living person, but I came here in search of a machine which may be able to decipher them, the [Stupendous Contraption]. Should you return to Cabilis, see that the Arch Duke hears of the scrolls.'

You say, 'What is this Stupendous Contraption?'

an enslaved iksar says, 'I have learned it was a machine tinkered by a legendary gnome. It has many uses. It lies in the slave pens of Droga. Perhaps it may be used to decipher the [Scrolls of Vok Na Zov]. I have leearned that it will not work without a [contraption needle]. Luckily I have found one in my journeys.'

You say, 'I need the contraption needle.'

an enslaved iksar says, 'The contraption needle is a piece of the machine, the [Stupendous Contraption]. It won't operate without it and if you want it, you're going to have to bring me the [pen keys].'

You say, 'Which pen keys?'

an enslaved iksar says, 'Pen keys!! I need the pen keys to get out of here! Find the ones who hold these keys. Bring me the key to pen number 1 and both keys to the pen gates. Do so and I shall give you the [contraption needle].'

Hand him the three keys.

an enslaved iksar says, 'Oh no!! The bargain was, you bring me the keys to the main gates and the pen key to cell one.'
an enslaved iksar says, 'Oh no!! The bargain was, you bring me the keys to the main gates and the pen key to cell one.'
an enslaved iksar escapes with a flash, but before he goes, he speaks, 'At last!! The keys which shall bring me freedom! I thank you and here is the contraption needle. Good luck.'

You receive a Coarse Iron Needle.

In the Temple of Droga jail area, find "a goblin prison warden" at -52, +1078, -251. It drops Droga Jail Key (Temporary, used for opening jail doors). This is for the post revamp version of the zone. For the TLP version of this zone, you'll need someone to pick the locks.

In the pottery wheel (called Tinmizer's Stupendous Contraption) at -197, +1114, -249, combine:

Coarse Iron Needle
Illegible Scroll
Illegible Scroll
Illegible Scroll
Illegible Scroll
Illegible Scroll
Illegible Scroll

This produces a Stupendous Tome. Turn in this item along with your Hero's Khukri to Arch Duke Xog to complete the quest.

Arch Duke Xog says, 'A true crusader would have brought to me what I requested. The Hero Khukri and the Tome of Vok Na Zov.'

Arch Duke Xog says, 'A legible tome of the scrolls of Vok Na Zov! What a find this is!! May the unholy curses of Cazic flow through you. Please accept the weapon of a Lord of Pain. To abandon it is to abandon our ways and earn yourself the hatred of our order.'

Your faction standing with Crusaders Of Greenmist got better.
Your faction standing with Legion Of Cabilis got better.
You gain experience!! (20% of an AA at Level 59)
You receive 7 platinum from Arch Duke Xog.

You receive the Grand Lord Khukri. Reward: Lord of Pain's Khukri

Crusader's Test of the Pawn (#1) (Normal): Lord Gikzic may be found in the Temple of Terror, up a flight via transporter at +1035, -165, +46.

You say, 'Hail, Lord Gikzic'

Lord Gikzic says 'You dare to intrude upon the presence of a Lord of Pain?! Such foolish acts can only be those of a knight in training. Are you a [knight in training]?'

You say, 'I am a knight in training.'

Lord Gikzic says 'If you are a pawn, then let us begin with a simple test. Complete the test and you shall be rewarded with a new khukri. Do you [wish to perform the test of a pawn]?'

You say, 'I wish to perform the test of a pawn.'

Lord Gikzic says 'You shall carry this pack. Within it you shall combine 4 sarnak hatchling heads. When you have the full sarnak head pack then you shall return it to me along with your pawn's khukri and I shall reward you with the khukri of a knave. Beware, the sarnak are our most hated foes and even their whelps are quite formidable fighters. Be sure to seek out Klok Mugruk. He may have some curscale armor available.'

You receive a Sarnak Head Pack (identifies as "Pack for Whelp Heads"), a 4-slot SMALL container. Go to the Lake of Ill Omen and kill "a sarnak hatchling" until you have looted 4 x A Sarnak Whelp Head. Combine these in the pack to craft a Full Pack of Sarnak Heads (identifies as "Sarnak Whelp Heads"). Give this to Lord Gikzic along with your Pawn's Khukri (if you lost your Pawn's Khukri, you may get a new one via The Penance.

Lord Gikzic says 'I instructed you to return the full sarnak head pack and also your pawn's khukri.'

Upon turnin:

Lord Gikzic says 'You have learned to behead your opponents with great precision. Take the khukri of the knave. It shall prove most formidable in combat when wielded by a young crusader. You may now assist us with a [greater concern] than your training.'

Crusader's Test of the Zealot (#4) (Normal): Lord Qyzar is standing on the parapet one level up in the SK guild, at +1005, -150.

You say, 'Hail, Lord Qyzar'

Lord Qyzar looks upon you with a sneer. 'What is the year of our birth and who was our Father?'

You say, 'The year is 371 AG and our father is Rile.'

Lord Qyzar says 'You are a student of our ways? I would hope so. I seek a knight in search of a way to prove his allegiance and a way to earn his [zealot khukri].'

You say, 'I want a way to earn my zealot khukri.'

Lord Qyzar says 'In search of a zealot khukri? I have heard much of your deeds to aid us. I offer it to you in exchange for your service. I have dispatched a knight named Grizzle to seek out the Kromdul fortress called Chalp. He was to secretly map Chalp and return with a [Chalp diagram]. He has yet to return. Perhaps you can [rescue Grizzle].'

You say, 'Chalp diagram?'

Lord Qyzar grimaces in pure disgust. 'I have been awaiting the Chalp diagram from a knight named Grizzle, but alas, he has proven himself weak. He has been taken prisoner by one of the Kromdul of Chalp. If only there were another knight I could send to [rescue Grizzle] and return the Chalp diagram...'

You say, 'I will rescue Grizzle.'

Lord Qyzar says 'If you can find the knight in Chalp and have him hand you the Chalp diagram, you shall become a zealot and wield a zealot khukri. All I need are the Chalp diagram and your knight khukri.'

Grizzle is actually "an Iksar knight" in Warsliks Wood. If he's not resting on the plaza near the Cabilis entrance (-2020, -720), he's probably a prisoner of the giants. Go to the giant fort and find the enclosed building with an opening at either end. The giant that spawns there (-960, +1090) is sometimes "a forest giant" with no evergreen/greenwood/sapling appended. When you attack him you'll see this somewhat mangled emote (it actually says this whether or not the knight is already sitting near Cabilis):

a forest giant covers a pouch as to something from jumping out. 'You not get lizard!! You be squashed!!'

When you kill him, if Grizzle wasn't already at Cabilis, "an Iksar knight" springs from the corpse and starts running toward Cabilis, where he takes up his resting spot.

You say, 'Hail, an Iksar knight'

an Iksar knight wipes the sweat from his forehead and spits some flarefire seeds on the ground near your feet. 'Whew!! Good to be back and safe at the Cabilis Gate. The troopers will protect us.'

You say, 'Do you have the Chalp diagram?'

an Iksar knight spits out some flarefire seeds. 'Great!! Sent to retrieve the Chalp diagram. I will give them to you, but I want you to do me a little favor first. I want you to [retrieve some spells] I lost. They are incorrectly scribed and useless, but I yearn for their return nonetheless.'

You say, 'How can I retrieve some spells?'

an Iksar knight spits flarefire seeds on you. 'Oops!! Sorry. Yeah!! You go to Chalp and get two incorrectly scribed spells which they grabbed from me. The third one, I threw in a river crossing by Chalp. It was in a bottle and probably drifted way down the river. Bring me all three and also a shovel and I will make it worth your while.'

You say, 'You really like those flarefire seeds, don't you?'

an Iksar knight spits some flarefire seeds on your face. 'What? Interested in flarefire seeds? There you go. Ha!!'

Go kill forest giant saplings in Warsliks Wood until you loot a Misscribed Gate (identifies as "Scribbling 'Gree..?'") and a Misscribed Lifetap (identifies as "Scribbling of a mountain"). Go swimming in the northwest corner of the zone near +4235, +4220 and find a bag that picks up as Scroll in a Bottle (identifies as "Misscribed Fear"). Buy a shovel. Give all three items to the knight.

an Iksar knight spits flarefire seeds on your chest. 'Is this all? Listen up!! I asked for the misscribed spells; Fear, Lifetap and Gate, and also, a shovel.
an Iksar knight spits flarefire seeds on your chest. 'Is this all? Listen up!! I asked for the misscribed spells; Fear, Lifetap and Gate, and also, a shovel.
an Iksar knight spits flarefire seeds on your chest. 'Is this all? Listen up!! I asked for the misscribed spells; Fear, Lifetap and Gate, and also, a shovel.
an Iksar knight accidently swallows a mouthful of flarefire seeds. 'ACCCKK!! I can't believe you did it!! Here is the Chalp diagram.'

He then despawns. (He may respawn near Cabilis and hurry off to go digging, but it's not germane to this quest.

Lord Qyzar says 'At last!! The Chalp diagram. I shall see that the emperor gets this at once. You have proven yourself more than just a mere knight, you are a zealot. Being new to the temple we have need of you in a [matter of betrayal].'

Crusaders of Greenmist (Normal): Librarian Zimor is located in the Shadowknight's guild.

You say, 'Hail, Librarian Zimor'

Librarian Zimor says 'Hail, citizen, I hope that you are here to assist. We are gathering Crusaders to make an assault on the Libraries of Chardok. The slave creations have thrived in their sanctuary for too long. The tomes and texts they have stolen to fill their library belong us. They are even rumored to have a text on the Sacred Khukri of Rile, the Greenmist. If you see such a tome, you must bring it to me immediately. May Cazic-Thule guide you!

Kill Loremaster Piza'Tak or Grand Loremaster Di`Korr in Chardok library and loot The History of the Greenmist.

Upon handing this book to Librarian Zimor:

Librarian Zimor looks disturbed as he examines the book. His hands tremble as he mouths the words on the ancient parchment pages. "This book may alter the reality you see before you, "the scholar says as he continues to read the tome. "The information that has been waiting in this book may have been brought to us by your hand, but your fate has obviously been chosen by our Lord. Our mystics have conveyed a new vision to us in this most recent season. Please take this note to Hierophant Oxyn, while I continue to translate this tome." the Librarian hands you a note and turns his attention back to the book.

Your faction standing with Brood Of Kotiz got better.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis got better.
You gain experience!!

You receive A note to Oxyn. Hand this note to Hierophant Oxyn, who can be found downstairs.

Hierophant Oxyn takes the note and begins to howl into the air! "The visions are true! The new prophecy begins today, Crusader," the mystics growls with pleasure. He quickly turns and takes a bottle of murky liquid from one of his potion bags and hands it to you. "Take this and keep it safe. Our visions have told of this day. We have been able to learn of the metal of prophecy. This liquid will help us to locate it's true resting place!

You gain experience!!

You receive a Bottle of Liquid Deklium.

You say, 'What is in this bottle of liquid?'

Heirophant Oxyn says "The bottle contains deklium in a liquid solution. The metal of prophecy has been determined to rest in a mass of living earth. Our scholars have written of a mass of ore that fell from the heavens. This ore was used in the creation of a blade of our father, Rile. We have been filled with visions of this blade. I have seen it in the hands of our Crusaders as they march towards the new age of Greenmist! Seek out the corrupted earth that guards the interlopers. We have an alchemist near there. He will be able to use the deklium to determine which golem contains the metal. Take care to go in force. I sense that there will be a battle.

Alchemist Granika is at The Overthere Outpost outside of East wall.

You say, 'Hail, Alchemist Granika'

Alchemist Granika says, 'If you were sent to me, show proof or be gone from my sight!

You give Alchemist Granika the Bottle of Liquid Deklium.

Alchemist Granika says "If Heirophant Oxyn has sent this with you, I can assume that our visions were corect. The new age is calling us from the heavens. Prepare for battle. I will take this solution to the Outlander's gates and use it to reveal the location of the metal of prophecy. Should I not return, you will only need to find the creature that glows without the use of a torch. Deklium glows when it gets near the smallest trace of tynnomium. Prepare for battle, Crusader... I am off".

A Glowing Cliff Golem spawns just inside the side exit of the Outpost near your location. He, Watch Sergeant Grolj, and 4 x "an undead watchman" walk straight out of the Outpost and the skeletal guards all take a post position. If you watch him for a moment, the golem will walk away from the other mobs and you can snag him easily by himself. He's a 1 group kill if you have 55+ warrior for main tank and a cleric to CHeal. Faction hits for killing them:

Your faction standing with Venril Sathir got worse.

Loot a Chunk of Tynnonium and take it back to Heirophant Oxyn:

Heirophant Oxyn holds the ore in his hands and begins to chant. His eyes go white as he raises the chunk of ore above his head. He lowers his arms and shakes his head for a moment. His eyes return to their normal state as they focus on you. The shaman hands you the ore and says, 'Seek out the creator of Rile's blade. He is still on this plane. I have felt his torment. Take this note to Librarian Zimor. He learned a great deal from the tome and can instruct you further. Librarian Zimor says 'I am very glad you have returned.

Your faction standing with Scaled Mystics got better.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis got better.

You receive a Note to Librarian Zimor. Upon giving this to Zimor:

Librarian Zimor says 'I am very glad you have returned. Your discovery of the tynnonium is extraordinary! This Sarnak tome has been an incredible source of information. It appears that they have been studying the Greenmist for some time. I'm sure they sought it as nothing more than a trinket to be collected. Their shortsightedness will be their eventual undoing. I have compiled a book of notes that will aid you in your quest for the Greenmist. Please take care to keep this information of the grasp of our enemies.'

Your faction standing with Brood Of Kotiz got better.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis got better.

You receive Notes from the Greenmist Tome, which reads as follows:

"I made these notes from my interpretation of the Sarnak tome.

Read them carefully.

The weaponsmith who created the Greenmist still exists in some form. He has been tormented for a very long time and may not remember his art. If this is the case, there may still be some chance of recovering the design of the sacred blade. The key lies with the Lich-King's beloved.

It is rumored the lich had a mirror created that allows his beloved Drusella to see her former self in its reflection. Perhaps this artifact can offer you some assistance in this quest.

Several items will be needed to recreate the Greenmist Khukri. A special hammer was specifically created to fold and sculpt the weapon's blade. Both the Greenmist and this hammer were created on the same day. Only the year is know. The year was 1406. The tome mentions that the Sarnak were actively seeking the tool.

The formula that will be needed to smelt the Tynnonium is written in the back of this book. Use this book when you find the forge needed to create the Khukri. You will need a design pattern, the block of Tynnonium, the hammer, and this tome to create the Greenmist blade.

To finish the weapon, you will need the Lord of Pain's Khukri, this tome, the hammer, the Greenmist blade, and a Greenmist shard or fragment. We have not found any Greenmist fragments.

All items must be forged in the hottest of all forges, the Forge of Dalnir.

May the will of Cazik Thule guide you."

Kill Weaponsmith Ko`zirr in Lake of Ill Omen. He's down the hall from the chancellor's room along with three imperial escorts. Loot the Hammer of 1406.

Kill the Alchemist's Acolyte in Chardok lower caves and loot a Greenish Metal Shard.

Shattered Blade of Rile is located in Karnor's Castle. It is sitting on top of a large wooden box adjacent to the jail area where the Drovlarg Warlord spawns. (location 12 on EQAtlas map). It looks like a dagger that's been dropped on the ground. This is Rile's Shattered Blade.

Kill Drusella Sathir in Howling Stones and loot the Mirror of Self Loathing.

Give the Mirror of Self Loathing to The Tormented Tradesman in the forge room of the Crypt of Dalnir, he spawns The Haggle Baron Dalnir. When you hand him the mirror the following text appears:

The undead entity looks in the mirror and appears to be stunned by the memory of his former self. He drops the mirror, which causes it to crack slightly. You immediately grab it and place it back in your bag. The spirit looks at you and begins to transform. Ethereal strands of muscle, blood, and flesh come together and the Haggle Baron Dalnir appears.

You receive Cracked Mirror. (NOTE: Haggle Baron Dalnir is iksar but is on beta neutral faction.)

You say, 'Hail, Haggle Baron Dalnir'

Haggle Baron Dalnir says 'I have little time to speak. I can feel this facade weakening already. A Scaled Mystic came to me during my time of torment. He spoke to me. He said that a new time was hiding behind the darkness of the horizon. You seek Master Rile's Khukri. I can diagram it for you... Arrrgh! I feel the pull of torment upon me! Return to me with a piece of parchment, a quill, and Rile's Shattered Blade. Use your mirror again to bring me back and I will try to remember the design. Please be quick!

Give Piece of Parchment, Quill and Rile's Shattered Blade to Haggle Baron Dalnir:

Haggle Baron Dalnir stares at the broken blade for some time. After a few moments of studying, the apparition begins to draw and scribble on the parchment. He works with amazing speed as the memories from his past flood from his quill. The diagrams and runes that etch the surface of the parchment begin to glow. The legendary Haggle Baron rolls the parchment and hands it to you. Smiling, he bows deeply and quickly fades away.

You say, 'Hail, Drill Master Dal'

Drill Master Dal says 'Yes, yes!! What do I have here?!! Another [new recruit]? If so, then speak up! If not, then leave and do not waste my time nor risk your life. I also seek a [legion soldier] if you be one.'

You say, 'I am a Legion soldier.'

Drill Master Dal says 'Good news to my ears!! I seek to prove to the War Baron that the infamous forsaken band of thieves who call themselves Marrtail's Marauders are operating within earshot of our city. You must bring me proof that you encountered no fewer than four of these thieves. Do so and I shall offer you an armor item unavailable to most.'

You say, 'I am a new recruit.'

Drill Master Dal says 'Yes. You have the look of the Partisan. I trust you have begun your blacksmith training. If not, then do so. Also, you should read all the books available to you in Fortress Talishan. We are not dimwitted broodlings here. You shall need the knowledge soon. That, or a coffin. Ha!! Here is your task, are you [ready for your task]?'

You say, 'I am ready for my task.'

Drill Master Dal says 'Yes, yes!! It does not matter. You must be ready. I will hand you the Partisan pack. Into it you shall combine one giant blood sac of the giant leech; scout beads from a goblin scout; one sabertooth kitten canine and finally, three bone shards from decaying skeletons. Hopefully, you will survive your attempt to obtain these items. Return the full Partisan pack and you shall be rewarded with a curscale shield.'

You receive a Partisan Pack. You need Goblin Scout Beads, a Sabertooth Kitten Canine, A Giant Blood Sac, and 3 x Bone Chips. Combine them in the pack to craft a Full Partisan Pack. Give this back to Dal for your reward, a Curscale Buckler.

Drill Master Dal says 'Fantastic work, Partisan _____. Here is your reward. You may continue to perform this task as the baron has found it aids in our defense. I shall always pay for a good day's work. Just let me know if you are still [ready for the task]. As for the curskin shield, you may only have one. - Bloodgill Scales drop off bloodgill goblins and foragers in the Lake of Ill Omen, near the underwater entrance to Veksar.

    You say, 'What militia pike?'

Drill Master Vygan says 'The pike is the prime weapon of Cabilis warriors. It can be upgraded, too, such as from the partisan pike to the militia pike and beyond. All these pikes may be slung on one's back when your hands are needed for other pursuits. To upgrade a pike is something that is learned, but it can never be performed without a [geozite tool]. Do you [desire to upgrade the partisan pike]?'

    You say, 'What geozite tool?'

Drill Master Vygan says 'The Geozite Tool is used to sharpen the pikes of the Legion of Cabilis. Only it can produce the serrated edges necessary for these deadly weapons. They are not handed out to just any broodling. The tool is only given to warriors who serve the legion. Do you [want a geozite tool]?'

You say, 'I want a geozite tool.'

Drill Master Vygan says 'Then take this satchel and go to the outer walls of Cabilis and seek out large scorpions. When you can fill and combine the satchel with scorpion pincers, then you shall prove to me that you are truly a warrior and I shall send you off on your true test.'

Master Niska says he has heard of [troubles with an outlander].

You say; 'what troubles with an outlander'

Master Niska says 'It seems Klok Ephmir has encountered an outlander who was hunting the food we lizards enjoy. The Legion will not act without proof of this outlanders existence. We were asked by the Baron to find this proof. We shall do this. You shall provide me with the outlanders head and the shackles of Rock and Stone!!"

Klok ephmir can be found on the island of merchants.

    You say, 'hail Klok Ephmir'.

Klok Ephmir stares at you with a wicked smirk."So you share the Brood's love of Frogloks. Alive, they provide much trouble. Dead, they provide much delight. I have found many uses for the Frogloks. From fine meat to fine mats. Ask if you do not see something.'

    You say, 'what outlander'.

Klok Ephmir turns pale at the mention of the Outlander. 'The Outlander!! That is what the lizards in the Tink N' Babble have dubbed him!! He is tall and strong. Get close enough and he will kill you on sight!! I think he could even defeat the likes of Bruiser Noz!! I spotted him near the edge of the swamps. He was headed toward the fields of Firiona.'

    You say, 'Hail, Master Niska'

Master Niska bows with elegance and grace. You can see her arms rippling with muscles. 'Greetings. We are the Swifttails. We are the harnessers of the elements. We are the tails of discipline. To achieve rebirth into our caste is a great honor indeed. We can be identified by our adornments. You should display that which we have given you to adorn your arms with pride. You do have your bracer, correct?'

You say, 'I want the Shackle of Rock.'

Master Niska strikes within inches of your snout with amazing speed. 'The shackle of rock is your interest? Then learn well our ways and prepare yourself. If the stone embraces your wrist, you are ready indeed. To complete the second rung you must find for me the [Fists of Talon].'

You say, 'What are the Fists of Talon?'

Master Niska points to the Court Chronicler. 'All that is known of Talon has been chronicled. Should you obtain the fists then you shall hand them to me. This shall earn you the shackle of rock.'

Purchase the book named "Talon Southpaw" (identifies as "Scribed by Rinmark") from the Court Chronicler nearby at 363, 48, across the courtyard from Master Niska. It reads:

    Talon Southpaw

Talon Southpaw was the fastest pugilist ever to walk within the Court of Pain. His speed rivaled that of the great Grandmaster Tynn. He could often be found within the local taverns demonstrating the awesome speed of his left fist.

Talon Southpaw came to rebirth within this caste. Although quick with fist and tail, the speed of his left arm was not to come to blossom for a couple of decades past his rebirth. It was to follow his captivity by the accursed sarnak.

Soon after fulfilling the Rung of Tynn, Talon went on a wandering retreat into the dangerous outlands of Kunark. He was not heard from for a total of 5 seasons. Upon his return to Cabilis he told of his captivity within an ancient city of the Iksar now claimed by the sarnak.

    He told of intense torture.

    He survived the ordeal.

He escaped from the claws of the sarnak with numerous scars which proved his painful ordeal. Most of the worst scars were never seen.

Talon wore a robe which he never removed. The scars underneath were for no lizard's eyes. His great perseverance gave him an inner strength no other monk could lay claim to.

He now possessed incredible, almost blinding speed with his left arm. He could trap a foe's arm with his left and strike with it as if he had a third arm! He was indeed a paragon of the Swifttails. All in the empire either respected or feared him. None would spar him outside of the taverns. With grog comes stupidity.

Upon his death in Kurn, Grandmaster Tynn removed his hands in a private ceremony. Only Tynn was allowed to gaze upon Talon's body. The fists were then sealed in a canopic which would stay within the Tower of Kurn. His body was dusted. This is his tale as told by Rinmark.

Klok Poklon may be found at +910, -70, on the first floor of the house near the castle.

    You say, 'Hail, Klok Poklon'

Klok Poklon says 'Greetings, thirsty traveler. Pull up a stool and lay yer copper down. It's time to drink and be merry. Just don't get too merry or I will have to call the troopers.'

You say, 'Who was Talon Southpaw?'

Klok Poklon feints with two quick left hooks!! 'Talon Southpaw. He had the fastest hands in the empire. I remember he once beat another lizard in an arm wrestling match. The amazing thing was, while he was gripping the croak's left hand, he left-hooked him without losing his hold!! That's quick!! I hear one of his treasured hands is in the possession of a monk called Master Rinmark.'

You say, 'Where is Master Rinmark?'

Master Bain resides in the Court of Pain at 293, -49.

Master Bain says 'Seeking Master Rinmark? He has left the Court of Pain. Gone to focus his thoughts on the elements of wind and thunder. I believe he was headed toward the Overthere. That was the last I heard of his trek.'

Find "an Iksar master" in the Timorous Deep at -5055, +2790.

You say, 'Hail, an Iksar master'

an Iksar master is humming and chanting softly. He seems oblivious to your presence.

You say, 'Are you Master Rinmark?'

an Iksar master squints one eye open, then returns to his meditation.

You say, 'Who was Talon Southpaw?'

an Iksar master waves his arms in the air. 'The great master. His soul is the wind. He speaks to us in words of thunder. He strikes Norrath with bolts of lightning. I seek to be as he is. I have traveled the globe in search of his fists. I have found only one. Another is said to be with [Gomoz]. I shall return it when I am finished with my seasons-long meditation or perhaps I shall find a monk to [return the hand to Cabilis].'

    You say, 'Who is Gomoz?'

an Iksar master says 'Disciple Gomoz was once Talon Southpaw's pupil. It is rumored that he has only one hand. Unfortunately, a horde of ogre raiders swiped his bones, along with others, from their place in Kurn's Tower. What those simple oafs plan to do with them is a mystery. Only one who has studied the arcane sciences could use them. They most likely used them as soup bones.'

You say, 'I will return the hand to Cabilis.'

an Iksar master hands you an old tattered sack. 'This shall be your proof of allegiance. Prove that you are strong with an intact mandible of a skulking brutling and the claws of a burynai excavator. Prove that you are a monk of fist and tail with a sash of an exiled human monk and the sparring gloves of a goblin pit fighter. Combined, these items make the sack full. This will earn my trust and the hand.'

You receive a Tattered Sack from Rinmark, a 4-slot container. Acquire Excavator Claws (identifies as "Burynai Excavator Claws," dropped by various burynai), Intact Brutling Choppers (dropped by a skulking brutling in Warsliks Wood), Torn Sash (identifies as "Exiled Monk Sash," dropped by a young ronin in South Ro), and Goblin Sparring Gloves (dropped by a goblin pit fighter in Warsliks Wood). a dancing skeleton says 'Dancing for the great Oowomp!! Wheee!!'

You say, 'Who was Talon Southpaw?'

a dancing skeleton says 'Master Talon Southpaw!! He was my master. Dead, he became. Off to the elements. I keep his special hand with me. Perhaps I should have it returned. Maybe I shall find a young adventurer to [return the hand to Cabilis].'

You say, 'I will return the hand to Cabilis.'

Master Niska removes a crudely hewn shackle. 'This is yours. It is one of the keys to the third rung. I see that you are truly a great monk and have studied your disciplines well. I have need of one such as you. I have heard of [troubles with an outlander].'

of scale. Here is the part about the shackle sash and shuriken: "...ripping the shackle from his wrist, Talon gave it to Kiraikuei, telling him he must return it to the courtyard at any costs, including his life...Talon removed a small knife, and began to cut away the sash from his waist, letting his robe become loose, turning to Kiraikuei, Talon placed the chords of soild power around Kiraikuei...Talon fell to the ground, feeling his life draining slowly. He scrounged through his tattered belt pounches, and removed a Shuriken of imense power. Using his last bit of strength, he thrusted the Shuriken deep into a diamond, and told Kiraikuei to bring it to the ones who guarded the gates of the peaks...

Grand Master Glox holds the shackle, returned to him by kira. He needs the gem of yet to come and the broken piece of the key to open the box holding the shackles. Both camoe from lake of ill omen. The gem drops off the Sarnak Gem Oracle in Lake of Ill Omen, and the key drops from the head bloodgill. When you give them to him, Grand Master Glox attempts to open the box, but time has rusted the lock. He needs a skeleton key which is being guarded by Venril in Karnor's Castle.
Shackle of Steel (Normal): After finishing the shackle of bronze quest, Master Rinmark asks you to help him rescue a student of his.

You say, 'Where is your student?'

an Iksar slave seems to have lost all hope. He sadly looks to the ground. His shackles are different than the others you see in this cell. One is definitely steel and not of goblin design. The other is made of an unfamiliar metal.

    You say, 'Are you Veltar?'

an Iksar slave 's soiled face shines with a glint of hope. 'You know my name? Who has [sent] you to find me?'

You say, 'Master Rinmark sent me'

an Iksar slave says 'Then word has gotten to him!! If you be a monk of the third rung I will accept your aid. You must find the [coppernickel key]. It is required to release me from this goblin shackle. I have no reward to offer other than the shackle of steel. Give me both your shackles of the third rung along with the key and I shall reward you the first shackle of the fourth rung.'

You say, 'Where is the coppernickel key?'

an Iksar slave says 'The key is split into three parts. Part one is the base and must be combined with the two remainder pieces. One piece is in here and the other was lost. I overheard the goblins chattering and recognized the goblin phrase, 'lair of flying mouths'!! As for the base, I do not know.'

You now need to collect and combine the three pieces of the coppernickel key.

    1. You already have the base, which you received from Master Rinmark.

    2. The second piece is "A Copper Key". It identifies as "A Copper Nickel Key |..". It's dropped by the goblin interrogator in the same cave as the iksar slave. On TLP servers, he spawns in Droga in the jail area.

    3. The "lair of flying mouths" is a reference to Dalnir. "A Nickel Key" is dropped there by a coerced penkeeper on the third level. It identifies as "A CopperNickel Key ..|".

Combine the nickel and copper keys inside the base. This results in "A Coppernickel Key". Give Veltar the coppernickel key, and your bronze and copper shackles.

an Iksar slave says 'I made a pact to reward the shackle of steel to one who could deliver the coppernickel key and the shackles of copper and bronze.'
an Iksar slave says 'I made a pact to reward the shackle of steel to one who could deliver the coppernickel key and the shackles of copper and bronze.'
an Iksar slave hands you a shackle and removes the coppernickel shackle so he may flee. He places your shackles on his wrists and darts into the darkness.
You gain experience!! Reward: Shackle of Steel

Shackle of Stone (Normal): This is the second Monk Shackle quest. Master Raska is located at approximately 390.29, 113.16 in the Cabilis Monk Guild (The Court of Pain). After completing the previous Shackle quest (Shackle of Clay), Raska mentioned the Shackle of Stone...

You say, 'Tell me about the shackle of stone'

Master Raska says 'Interested in the shackle of stone are we? They are made for monks who have earned their first two shackles and are ready to climb up to the next rung. A monk who feels he is ready to wear the shackle of stone must first [perform the task of cleansing].'

You say, 'I am ready to perform the task of cleansing'

Master Raska says 'Go forth to the outer gates and seek out the Iksar bandits. They have refused to bow to the will of the empire and shall pay dearly for their traitorous ways. They often wear bandit masks. If you return with two bandit masks and the shackles of dust and clay then I shall reward you with the shackle of stone.'

The iksar bandits that drop the masks Raska is looking for only spawn within the central pit in The Field of Bone. They'll be wearing blue and brown clothes rather than the average yellow clothed iksar outcast models.

Upon turning in the Shackle of Clay, Shackle of Dust, and the two Iksar Bandit Masks, you'll receive your Shackle of Stone and gain positive faction hits with the Legion of Cabilis and The Swift Tails.

Master Raska says, "You have done supremely, ________. You have earned your shackle of stone. Master Niska will now help you on your way
to earning the shackle of rock. May the elements guide you to the next rung." Reward: Shackle of Stone

Shaman Skull Quest No. 1 (Normal): After completing the Cursed Wafers quest, talk to Hierophant Oxyn in the Temple of Terror.

    You say, 'What lost skulls?'

Hierophant Oxyn says, 'You must have heard of the Trilac Brotherhoods disappearance. They are the skulls of three soon to be ancients. They were taken from this temple by a silent intruder. Crusaders are always on duty. I do not know how they got into our vault. Every petitioner is ordered to search for the three skulls and return them to me along with their petitioner cudgel and then they shall become clairvoyants.'

You say, 'What Iron Cudgel of the Clairvoyant?'

Hierophant Oxyn shakes his head and waves a finger in your face. If you are looking to be handed the Iron Cudgel of the Clairvoyant then you are sadly mistaken. Perhaps if you were to gather a few [lost skulls] for the temple we may find you worthy to wield one.'

You need to gather the skulls to find out how the get the cudgel. The three skulls are named Waz, Morgl and Logrin. The intruder (an iksar outcast) can be found in the "sewer" area of East Cabilis (he may also spawn in the Swamp of No Hope).

To get to the sewers from the Temple of Terror, take either of the teleporters inside the guild up onto the balcony and descend down the eastern tower. Following these corridors you should eventually come to a broken path with a big hole leading down, jumping off should land you in a pool of water. In this area are mostly mosquitoes and scorpions, with the occasional decaying skeleton. Less common spawns here are Iksar outcasts and giant leeches. One known spawn location is by the stone stairs just past the drop down point.

Collect all three skulls, and hand them in to Hierophant Oxyn along with the Iron Cudgel of the Petitioner you received when you gave your guild note to the guild master (not the wooden one).

Hierophant Oxyn says "In my hand shall be placed three skulls of the Trilac Brotherhood and an iron cudgel of the petitioner".

    After cudgel turn-in:

Hierophant Oxyn says "Excellent! You have proved yourself worthy to wield the iron cudgel of the clairvoyant. As a clairvoyant I feel I can trust you, so I will tell you that the issue of the missing skulls is a [much larger problem] than last stated.'

You receive some faction, coinage, your very own Iron Cudgel of the Clairvoyant and the second skull quest. Reward: Iron Cudgel of the Clairvoyant

Shaman Skull Quest No. 2 (Normal): After completing the first quest, Hierophant Oxyn sends you on a two part quest. The first part is to get two Cleansers of the Outland skulls and return them to him along with your Iron Cudgel of the Clairvoyant. He says when you have done this he will tell you where to get the next two skulls.

Skull with I is found on a stuffed giant barracuda in Lake of Ill Omen. In Warsliks Woods, a Rogue Shaman Spawns. He drops a Jawless Skull and a note. The note tells you about the barracuda. You need to go to Field of Bones and kill another rogue shaman to get the Mandible. The note also says that you can buy Mendglow Clay in Cabilis, but nobody can find a place that sells it. It can however be foraged in the Burning Woods by a master forager (with much effort). Take your Jawless Skull, Mandible and Mendglow clay and combine them on a potters wheel (make sure you have a decent pottery skill). Do NOT add water. The combination will result in Skull with II.

Turn Skull with I and Skull with II along with your cudgel of the Clairvoyant to Oxyn and get some xp, coin and an Iron Cudgel of the Seer (4/21). When you finish this, Hierophant Oxyn says, 'We are in your debt. You are truly one who shall collect all the lost ancient skulls. Take your weapon. Go to Hierophant Zand and he shall guide you further. Tell him you are [the chosen saviour.]

After completing the previous quest Hierophant Oxyn says the following line:

'Excellent! You have proven yourself worthy to wield the iron cudgel of the clairvoyant. As a clairvoyant, I feel I can trust you, so I will tell you that the issue of the missing skulls is a [much larger problem] than last stated.'

    You say, 'Much larger problem?'

Hierophant Oxyn says, 'Many of the ancient skulls have been cast out of our temple. A hierophant was supposed to cast a special spell which was to protect the skulls from dust and decay. He cast some unknown spell which has sent many of our skulls to their original point of death. It would be most helpful if you would [assist in collecting the ancient skulls].'

You say, 'I will assist in collecting the ancient skulls.'

Hierophant Oxyn seems unsure of your prowess. 'Hmmm. First you shall go after the two skulls of the Cleansers of the Outlands. If you find them, bring them back unbroken and then I shall trust you. Hand me both skulls and your iron cudgel of the clairvoyant and I will know you are prepared.'

To obtain the first skull head out to Warsliks Wood and find a rogue shaman located at 2766, -3419. To reach this location quickly go through the Field of Bone entrance. Kill him and he will drop a Jawless Skull and a Tattered Note which reads the following:

"Shaman, I have sent another of your ilk to retrieve the mandible which was taken from us. He will meet up with you at Bone Ruin around midnight. When you have them, find a way to get some Mendglow Clay and a wheel from Cabilis so we can mend this skull. I am enroute to find the Giant Barracuda who swallowed the other skull at the lake."

Now you must find the other rogue shaman who is located in the Field of Bone. He doesn't seem to have a set placeholder, but can be spawned by killing monsters around the area between Kurn's Tower and Kaesora. Once you kill him you will obtain a mandible which you can combine in a pottery wheel along with the Jawless Skull and Mendglow Clay (foraged in Burning Woods) to create Skull with II (Pottery, 51 trivial).

To get the last skull you must find the giant barracuda mentioned in the letter, which is actually a stuffed barracuda located around the center of Lake of Ill Omen. will drop a Skull with I.

After obtaining both skulls, run back to Hierophant Oxyn in East Cabilis and turn in the skulls along with your Iron Cudgel of the Clairvoyant.
Hierophant Oxyn says 'We are in your debt, _______. You are truly the one who shall collect all lost ancient skulls. Take your weapon. Go to Hierophant Zand and he shall guide you further. Tell him you are [the chosen savior].'

    You have gained experience.
Your faction standing with Scaled Mystics got better.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis got better.
You receive 1 copper from Hierophant Oxyn
You receive 1 silver from Hierophant Oxyn
You receive 1 platinum from Hierophant Oxyn
And your Iron Cudgel of the Seer

Need all dialogues, current faction hits, missing items, /loc of quest mobs, any other missing quest info. Reward: Iron Cudgel of the Seer

Shaman Skull Quest No. 3 (Normal): Target Hierophant Zand and say I am the chosen savior.

Hierophant Zand closes his eyes and bows before you.

Hierophant Zand says "I am honored to meet the one who shall pledge his life to the return of the Skulls of the Ancients. However, I must see proof of our prowess as of yet. Go to the outlands and retrieve one Froglok Hexdoll, and no, they are not found on Frogloks. They are shaman dolls made by the goblin tribe."

The Froglok Hex Doll can be found on a goblin hextracer in Warsliks Wood.

Turn in the Froglok Hex Doll to Hierophant Zand.

Hierophant Zand says, 'Fine work! I hope for your sake, you did not purchase it from a brave adventurer. Take this note to the one for whom it is written. This lizard has knowledge of a large number of skulls.'

You receive The Bone Garrison, a note that reads: "Crusader Quarg. Assist this young mystic with the retrieval of the skulls."

Deliver the note to Crusader Quarg in the Field of Bone.

Crusader Quarg roams inside a building near East Cabilis. He gives you Skull Chest, a 6 slot container.

Kill undead crusaders in Kurn's Tower and loot 2 different Iksar Skull with an 'X'.

Head to Kurn's Tower and bring him back the Skulls of the Caste of Bone Brethren, a caste of powerful shamans who perished fighting undead in the Field of Bone several decades ago. You are to get the skulls of the 5 Caste members along with the skull of the leader. The Leader Skull is a Lore skull with an "X". The others are non lore Skulls with an "X". (When Identified, they show Caste of Bone Brethren). They all drop off the undead crusaders in Kurn's Tower.

Put them in the Skull Chest and combine them. This turns the Skull Chest into a Full C.O.B.B. Chest.

Take the Full C.O.B.B. Chest back to Crusader Quarg, along with your previous cudgel.

Hand him the C.O.B.B. chest and your Iron Cudgel of the Seer to receive Iron Cudgel of the Mystic. Reward: Iron Cudgel of the Mystic

Shaman Skull Quest No. 5 (Normal): After completing quest 4, Dovan tells you about the skulls of Di Nozok. He says "bring them to me, I shall wait within Zand". Go talk to Hierophant Zand about the skulls for more information.

The first one is the Skull of Die Nozok. What you want is an Iksar Skull Helm, which identifies as "Skull of Die Nozok." It drops in the Sarnak fortress in the Lake of Ill Omen off of the Sarnak Adherant and various other sarnaks.

The second one is the Skull of Dai Nozok. You need to kill Overseer Dlubish in Nurga or Droga and get the Dai Nozok Canopic. You also need to get the two keys of Dai. The first drops as a complete Ton Warrior Totem off Froglok Ton Warriors. Froglok Ton Warriors also drop three distinct "Piece of Totem"s, each of which identifies as a different portion of the Dai key. Combine these three pieces with some mendglow clay in a pottery wheel (Trivial less than 54) to get the second Ton Warrior Totem. You then hand the totems/keys and the canopic and 400 gp to Galdon Vok Nir in the Overthere just inside the city walls to get an Iksar Skull (identifies as "Skull of Dai Nozok"). Be careful of your faction here. You may need an enchanter to help you do this part.

You say, 'What can you tell me about the skulls of Di Nozok?'
Hierophant Zand says, 'What?! I have read of them, but that is all I know of the legendary mystic, err, mystics... whatever! Where their remains rest is a mystery, but those filthy goblins always seem to get ahold of things that are lost, all that infernal digging you see.'

You say, 'I have a Dai Nozok Skull Canopic'
Galdon Vok Nir opens his eyes wide. 'Oh! You found one of my family's fine canopics. That particular one was made for the legendary mystic, Di Nozok. If you think you're going to open it, think again. I know how, and will gladly [open the Nozok canopic], for a price. I heard the second was stolen by a sarnak shaman.'

You say, 'Can you open the Nozok Canopic?'
Galdon Vok Nir says, Want it opened? I will need the two [keys of Dai], the Dai skull canopic, and my fee, 400 gold coins.'

    You say, 'sealed canopic jars?'

Galdon Vok Nir says, 'I have heard of such things. You must have stumbled upon an ancient jar devised by one of my long-dead ancestors. They were fine craftsmen. I do not share their gift, but I do know the secret of the locks. If you have one of the ancient Vok Nir canopics, allow me to open it for you.'

    You say, 'dai keys'

Galdon Vok Nir says, 'There are two keys of Dai. They were made of ceramic and were also crafted to look like warrior totems. I once broke one as a child and my grandfather got very angry. He lashed me good! I do not know what the big fuss was about; he easily put them back together using some sort of clay.'

Turn in both skulls and your Cudgel of the Prophet to Hierophant Zand and you will get the next cudgel.

Upon Hand in to Hierophant Zand:

Hierophand Zand seems to black out, and then recover. He speaks with the voice of an ancient. 'We are Dai and Die and we await our skulls and your iron cudgel of the prophet. Become a channeler.'
Hierophand Zand closes his eyes and reopens them. They have no pupils. He speaks and you hear his voice echo. 'We are Di Nozok. You have earned the weapon of a channeler. We hope to fill your thoughts with ours some day. Go and seek out Dexl. We send you to him. Farewell , Channeler of Cabilis.'

Your faction standing with Scaled Mystics has been adjusted by 20
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis has been adjusted by 5 Reward: Iron Cudgel of the Channeler

Shaman Skull Quest No. 6 (Normal): After you complete the last quest for your Cudgel of the Channeler (and many congrats by the way you are an elite Iksar Shaman by now) you speak to Hierophant Dexl, the other Hierophant. This is the conversation.

    You say, 'Hail Hierophant Dexl'

Hierophant Dexl seems to be preocupied. He is examining an egg. 'What?!! Who has [sent] you to me? Bah!! Away with you.' He ignores you and continues chanting.

You say, 'Di Nozok sent me'

Hierophant Dexl drops the egg he was holding. Egg yolk splatters on your foot. His eyes roll back into his head. He speaks, but his voice is that of a female. 'I await you, Cradossk . My sisters and I yearn for the return of our skulls. We are the [Sisters of Scale]. Find us and bring to this hierophant our skulls and your iron cudgel of the Channeler. Go.'

You say, 'Who are the Sisters of Scale'

Hierophant Dexl wipes egg yolk from his clothing. 'My, what a mess!! Hmmph!! What did you say? Sisters of Scale? They were a legendary trio of mystics. We once had their skulls sealed within this temple, but now they are lost. I sent a channeler to retrieve them. His name was Vagnar. I am sure he shall find them.'

    You say, 'who is vagnar'

Hierophant Dexl says 'He's a capable channeler, I trust he knows where to look and will prepare himself. Any competent servant of our Lord would prepare potions and supplies before going on such a quest. If he doesn't come back, it's no great loss, he wasn't Hierophant material anyway.'

This is as far as Dexl goes. The next set of clues was found on the Herb Vendor Island in West Cabilis. The dialogue goes like this.

You say, 'Who what where is Vagnar'

Jaxxtz says 'Vagnar? I don't recall.....Unless Vagnar was that shaman supposedly on some quest to save our entire race from total destruction..someone always on one of those. He bought some charms to ward of [Dragon kin]. He's most likely in the belly of some beast now.'

    You say, 'What Dragon kin'

Jaxxtz says 'Yes he said he needed to steal secrets from the hated Sarnaks to aid him in his true quest. He said the sarnak know ways to cleanse the mind from intrusion, he would say no more.'

There is an Alchemy potion recipe that drops off Sarnak Adherants in the Sarnak Fort in Ill Omen. This ties directly into the text given by Jaxxtz the herb merchant. The recipe is written in Lizardman and when read shows this:

    Xinth
From Opal Slush and Dristilate shall come Xinth. From Sarnak Nightdust, Gorge Moss, and Sponge Mushroom shall come Opal Slush. From Firiona Drixie Dust, Stoneleer Emerald plume, and Slate Chant Rock shall come Dristilate.

    OPAL SLUSH - OBTAINED
    1. Sarnak Nightdust - Sarnak Partisans in Frontier Mountains
    2. Gorge Moss - Foraged in Gorge of King Xorbb
    3. Sponge Mushroom - Foraged in Mines of Nurga

    DRISTILATE
    1. Firiona Drixie Dust - From Drixies in Firona
    2. Stoneleer Emerald Plume - Found on Cockatrices in Overthere
    3. Slate Chant Rock - Found on Goblin Rockchanters in Nurga. Tan in Color.

Once made the potions will be called "A Potion of Swirling Liquid." It is not a drinkable potion, only a potion in name. It is trivial to make with alchemy at around 40.

At this point you will need to head into the Crypt of Dalnir. On the second floor there is a spawn called the Coerced Channeler. He mumbles to himself and if killed screams about a river of Xinth. Give the Coerced Channeler the Potion of Xinth. He despawns and is replaced by our Friend Vagnar the Channeler. Vagnar gives you the first of the skulls of the sisters of scale and immediately becomes KOS and runs off screaming "Go to where the pines have been smashed. Must reach great heights!"

If you go to the Burning Woods outside the Sarnak Fort/Chardok there you will see 2 guard towers. The top of the East Guard Tower is reachable. You must go back 150 feet from the gate on the zone wall. There is a spot there where you can climb high enough to be above the roof of the guard tower. Fire up levitate and scale of the wolf. Then run straight at the tower, preferably in windowed mode. You should run right in. Inside you will meet an NPC named Atheling Plague.

He tells you,' Ahh!! A conversationalist. How good to meet you, Cradossk. Yes. I have heard of you. Go ahead and ask for that which has brought you to my tower and emboldened you to slay my weaker minions.'

Say to him "Give me the skull of the sisters of scale"

He replies, "'What a coincidence! I, too, seek a skull. Perhaps you might help me [obtain the skull]. Perhaps then you shall have the skull you desire.'

You say, 'I will help you obtain the skull'

Atheling Plague says 'I am sure you would not mind removing the head of a scaled mystic. I hope not. There is an old Iksar who once called me slave. Now he shall adorn my wall, mounted on a fine plaque. His name is Digalis. Find him. Do not return until your task is complete.'

You are looking for an iksar slave. It is found in Frontier Mountains in the Goblin Tunnels in the SW of the map. He is found in the lowest and most southern room. Within this room there are Iksar spawns, facing the wall from the tunnel: on the right is either "an Iksar slave" for the Monk Shackle Quest (hail him and you'll have mention of one of the shackles looking strange) and "a Crazed Iksar slave"; on the left is either "an enslaved Iksar" or "an Iksar slave"--this is the one you want! . His face is covered
with grime and he shows scars from goblin whips. He shakes his head and goes back to his thoughts. If you ask him his name he tells you he is Digalis. This is a weird part of the quest in that you must kill him here to get your skull. You do take negative faction with Scaled Mystics which doesn't make a lot of sense. He's an easy enough kill.

Return to Atheling and hand him in your skull of Digalis. It shows as Iksar Skull LORE NO DROP. After handing it in you get this:

Atheling Plague tosses the skull over the edge of the tower. 'Excellent. You show signs of a true Iksar slayer. Too, bad I have already given the skull of the Sister of Scale to another. Perhaps you would like to meet him before he departs. Say hello, Doval.'

Atheling then spawns Clerk Doval who resides in Cabilis. Doval is a Traitor and friend of the Sarnaks it seems. You get time to get a pet out and prepare to do battle. He is no particularily tough but he is healed by Atheling. Atheling doesn't join in the fight though. Upon death he causes these faction changes:

Clerk Doval says, "I will slay all in the name of Overking Bethezid! He shall deliver power to me."
Clerk Doval has been slain by Greenmist.

Your faction standing with Sarnak Collective has been adjusted by -30.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis has been adjusted by 1.
Your faction standing with Brood of Di`Zok has been adjusted by -30.

Clerk Doval's corpse says "All Iksar residents... shall learn... of my demise. Ungghh!'

Loot the 2nd skull from his corpse.

The 3rd skull info was discovered before the 2nd one was completed, it is probable that asking about Clerk Doval could produce results leading to Klok Poklon. By asking Klok Poklon, in the "Upstairs Bar" near the shaman guild, "Who are the Sisters of Scale"...

He responded "Hmm, yes, the Babble around here is that one of the Kloks in the Lake Garrison has one of the Sisters of Scale Skull up for Auction. The Temple will bury him when they hear of it!"

Asking around the vendors in Lake of Ill Omen yielded this:

Klok Sargin says 'Looking for the skull I had for sale? I am afraid I sold it to a staunch lizard champion. I would gladly give you his name if you
would do me a [slight favor].'

    You say, 'what slight favor'

Klok Sargin says 'The lake garrison has requested that I work on a helm similar to the ones worn by sarnak dragoons. The problem is.. I need one to examine. You go get me one and I will tell you who purchased the skull.'

The Helm is dropped by Sarnak Dragoons in the Sarnak Fort in Lake of Ill Omen. The Helm is TEMPORARY so run straight back to the garrison and Klok Sargin. Hand him the Helm and you get this:

Klok Sargin appears a little shaken. He has a few bruises on his face. 'Uhh. Thanks. I sort of told the lizard who bought the skull that you were asking for him, and, well, he was kinda mad, and... Cradossk, meet Bruiser.'

He spawns an Iksar Warrior named Bruiser who says this:

Bruiser Noz is a battle-scarred lizard with arms the size of tree trunks. He approaches and speaks. You feel the lager-tinged breeze blast your skin. 'Stay out of this, Klok !! I didn't spend 30 seasons in the legion to be pestered by the likes of you!! Here I am, you little croak!! You want my skull? Come and get it!!'

Klok Sargin shakes with fear. A dark stain begins to spread across the front of his trousers. 'Ye.. Ye.. Yes.. Yes, Bruiser.'

Bruiser Noz says 'Ha!! Who dares to take what is Bruiser's!! I will make swamp mush out of them!!'

Bruiser gives you time to get a pet out etc. He's an easy kill at lvl 51 I'd say he's at most lvl 38 probably less. Kill him and you loot the 3rd Skull. Take this skull with your 2 other ones and the Cudgel of the Channeler back to Cabilis and down to Hierophant Dexl. Hand all 4 to him and you get this message:

Hierophant Dexl goes into a trance and speaks with the voice of an ancient. 'You have returned the skulls of the Sisters of Scale. For this you shall be rewarded. Take this hierophant's weapon. May you use it to smite the foes of our people.' Dexl comes out of the trance. 'What?!! Whew. Hey!! Where is my cudgel?'

    You now have the cudgel.

    Thanks to Cradossk Trandoshan
    http://www.iksar.org
Reward: Iron Cudgel of the Hierophant

Shaman Skull Quest No. 7 (Normal): You will notice an NPC on the Bridge in East Cabilis named Hierophant Granix. He is a Shaman Trainer and when hailed says, 'Leave me in peace Cradossk, I have little desire for company now. The Faceless sends visions to me that may hold the fate of our race in sway.'

You ask him, "What Visions?" and he replies, "'The spirits tell me of strange happenings around the ancient city of Charasis. None of the mystics that have been sent to investigate have returned. Something is surely happening in the ancient tombs of that city. I pray to our lord for some way to calm the tortured spirits of our fallen brothers that haunt the Howling Stones.'

You must now gather a force strong enough to fight in the South Wing of Charasis or Howling Stones as it is known. If you aren't aware, Charasis is a dungeon in Overthere that requires a key to enter (the key quest information can be found here).

The dungeon requires a solid group of 50's to go very deep in. Kill random mobs until you have aquired one dusty skull and 4 glowing skulls.

Return the Dusty skull to Hierophant Granix and you receive this message:

Hierophant Granix peers at the skull intently. 'There is strange magic in this skull Cradossk, whatever necromancer animated this skeleton was a powerful warlock indeed. I sense the power of several ancients in this relic. Take this skull to Oracle Qulin in the field of bone, he may be able to perform the ritual which will free this ancient's spirit from the mortal
    realm.'

You will find an NPC by the shore in Field of Bone named Oracle Qulin. Give him the skull.

Oracle Qulin runs his scaled fingers slowly over the cracked, brittle skull. 'Granix did well to send you to me, I may yet be able to recover the spirit of this ancient and set it free. Come! I shall need your help with this ritual.'

Oracle Qulin dips the skull in the crystal waters. He lifts the skull over his head and stands completely still, allowing the water to drip down off the skull down over his body and finally on to the parched sand.'

Oracle Qulin begins to chant. Quietly at first but then louder and faster. He speaks a language you only vaguely recognize. It is the voice and language of the ancient oracles. His voice booms out over the water filling your mind with images of the ancient Sebilisian empire and the great Iksar rulers of old.

Oracle Qulin's voice stops suddenly, leaving the air completely silent. Even the waves seem to have stopped for a moment. You begin to move toward him, but he raises a hand toward you motioning for you to stay still.

Oracle Qulin says 'Suddenly without warning the skull flies from Quilin's hands and flies into the murky waters. It stays submerged for a moment and then flies toward you, but this time an entire corpse is attached to it.

This spawns An Arisen Iksar whom you must kill. He is approximately lvl 50 so you will want a few friends for this depending on your level. Once killed he drops Wet Skull Fragments. Give those to Oracle Qulin.

Oracle Qulin says 'It seems this particular ancient does not wish to be put to rest. Return this note to Hierophant Granix and tell him what happened. He will surely wish this skull to be disposed of properly, but I do not have the power to do it myself.'

You return the note to Hierophant Granix. Hierophant Granix says, 'It is as I feared, the mark of the warlock has surely driven these ancient spirits mad. We can not allow these spirits to roam free in our world Cradossk. Take this case and place the glowing skulls of other ancients inside of it. Return it to me with your Cudgel of the Heirophant so that we may remove these cursed spirits from our world forcefully.'

He gives you an Ornate Skull Case which is a 4 slot combinable container. Put the 4 Glowing Skulls from Charasis in this container and combine them. Then hand in this combined container and your Iron Cudgel of the Hierophant and you receive your new cudgel. Reward: SkyIron Cudgel of the Arisen

Shaman Skull Quest No. 8 (Normal): After handing in your Hierophant Cudgel and Skull box to Granix he gives you your 7th Cudgel and says, You have done well Cradossk. Perhaps you can help clear these troubling dreams from my tired aging mind. Commune with the spirits of our Ancestors and learn from them. Never forget that the ultimate power comes from knowledge. The ancients are privy to much knowledge that mortals will never see. Should you be granted enlightenment from our ancestors, share your knowledge with me so that we may use this knowledge for the benefit of our brethren. I will continue to study the [dreams] that [cloud] my mind.'

When you ask him "What dreams cloud your mind?" he replies, "I see much darkness...darkness and death. A void of life...the cold grip of death. An Ancient pact...with forces too terrible to describe...A great Leader...a fall, and a second coming. I see...a symbol of...an ancient city...Kaesora. I would begin there young Mystic. The spirits of that fallen city may hold a key to our future. "

Go to the ruins outside Kaesora and you will see a new Shaman NPC there, Oracle Vauris. Hail him and he motions for silence. He points at the shifting sands below him without a word.

Go to Kaesora and extinguish Xalgoz. He spawns every 20 minutes or so in the Church there and is approximately lvl 48 or so. He's easy for a couple lvl 50 plus. He drops a Shrunken Iksar Skull Necklace. Loot that and give it to Oracle Vauris.

Oracle Vauris takes the necklace from you without a word. He looks into your eyes for a moment. He seems to be searching for something. Apparently he finds whatever he was looking for as he pulls an empty bag from his belt. He takes the necklace and snaps the cord with his teeth allowing the skulls to fall into the bag. He looks you square in the eyes again and motions for you to put out your hand. You do so and almost immediately regret it. Vauris takes the knife from his belt and slices open your forearm allowing your blood to fall into the bag. He uses the cord to tie the bag and hands it back to you. 'You now share the mark of Rile, Cradossk. Your fates are intertwined.' He then gives you a Bag of Iksar Skull Dust.

Ask him, "What Rile?" and he replies, "Have you learned nothing in all your years of service to the hall of Terror? The skulls on that necklace were the bones of the traitorous Iksar who defiled Rile's Relics. Their final moments were spent in Charasis, destroyed by their own dark magics. Rile was the son of the most powerful and terrible [emperor] the Iksar have ever known. Not since the days of Ssrae... 'His voice trails off and his eyes glaze over a bit. You sense that Vauris has been touched by some unmentionable terror. '

If you ask him about Xalgoz, he replies, 'At last you see Cradossk. The one you speak of is indeed a servant of Rile's father. His presence on this world has disrupted the spirits of the ancients. This disruption must be put to an end. Slaying him will do little good unfortunately. We will have to make use of other powers to truly banish him from this world. If we are to do this we shall need a true relic of Rile, and the soul of his father. Only with these items can we hope to free Rile's soul from the void between death and life. But first there are others that serve the risen emperor that must be destroyed.'

Ask him "what others?" and he says, "The servants of the emperor wear many faces. One in particular is know to wear several himself. Of Serpents and Iksar is his current incarnation, a twisted vision of a dark union. Bring me his essence, for I will need a vessel to siphon the emperor's soul into. Bring me these 3 items along with the pouch of bone dust and we shall see what fate the ancients have chosen for us.'

The Changeling Essense drops from a Named Goblin in the Frontier Mountains by the name of Thuuga Dengible. He is about lvl 50 in strength and can be found on top of a rock near the Lake of Ill Omen Zone at -2100, -2400

Next you must extinguish a Named Froglok in the Froglok Village in the Swamp by the name of Kaggy Krup. He is of about the same level as Thuuga is. 3 or 4 50+ can take him. He is actually up in one of the buildings in the western part of the village. He drops 'Glowing Kunzar Amulet'

The 4th item you need is dropped by Venril Sathir in Karnor's Castle. There are two versions of Venril. One is much tougher than the other. Both drop the Blackened Iksar Bones which you need. These can be multi-quested so this may be a good way to get the item if you can't easily field a group to take down Venril.

Give Vauris the Changeling Essence, Bag of Iksar Skull Dust, Glowing Kunzar Amulet, and the Blackened Iksar Bones. Oracle Vauris says 'You have done well Skek. Now it is time for the true test of your clairvoyance. Only a true Scaled mystic will be able to put these spirits to rest. Be warned, these souls will not go quietly into the next world. They have strong ties to this land, and it is these ties we must break. Take them to the City of the Kunzar, the birthplace of the emperor. Only there will you be able to tear asunder the dark rituals that have twisted the souls of our ancient heroes. I will await you in that place Cradossk. " He gives you Iksar Relics NO DROP, LORE.

You now need to head into Charasis again with a decent force. At least a single group of 55 plus from all accounts. In teh South Wing you will find An Iksar Apparition. Give him the Iksar Relics. He immediately turns into Venril Sathir and 4 other mobs - an Arisen Disciple, Priest, Necromancer and Acolyte - aggro you. This battle can be fierce but this version of Venril is not the same as the one in KC thankfully. Venril Sathir drops a Skull of Rile. After you extinguish these mobs an amiable mob, the Spirit of Rile appears. Give him your Skyiron Cudgel of the Arisen and the Skull of Rile and you get the following message.

The spirit of Rile says 'Use your cudgel to unite my soul with my body Cradossk '

The spirit of Rile begins to shudder and shake, the bones fly from your hands to meet their rightful soul. The spirit and bones being to glow and meld into one another, forming a swirling mass of ethereal energy. Abani begins to mouth incantations in an unfamiliar tongue. Their voice rises ever higher as mystic energy surges through the room. Then, in a suddenly flash, the spirit and corpse disappear without a trace, leaving only Cradossk holding a Faintly glowing Cudgel in his hand. Reward: Skyiron Cudgel of the Ancients

Shestar's Scaled Coif (Normal): Trooper Shestar can be found inside the gates to the Field of Bone.

    You say, 'Hail, Trooper Shestar'

Trooper Shestar says 'My father was a great blacksmith. He taught me how to make great items such as the [Shestar scaled coif]. Alas, smithing was not my rebirth, but rather the life of a warrior.'

You say, 'What is the Shestar scaled coif?'

Trooper Shestar says 'The Shestar scaled coif was a light coif my father would fashion out of loose scales from the scaled wolves. I have some scales on me, and if you bring me three loose scales I will have enough to create the coif for you, but I require you to also pay a fee of five gold.'

For this quest, you will need 3x Loose Scales (dropped by scaled wolves in the Field of Bone). In particular, they are a very common drop off a scaled wolf stalker in the central pit.

Once you have three of them, return to Trooper Shestar and hand in 3x Loose Scales + five gold pieces:

Trooper Shestar quickly inserts the scales into a half finished coif and hands you the coif. 'I am afraid that is not enough and I cannot possibly complete the task while on duty. You must go and find an additional three scaled wold scales and take them, along with the unfinished coif, to the nearest forge and complete the smithing yourself. I hope you are a blacksmith.'

    You receive Shestar's Unfinished Coif.

Ypu have completed Achievement: Cabilis Quests - Shestar's Scaled Coif

Go to any forge and combine 1x "Shestar's Unfinished Coif" + 3x "Loose Scales" to create Shestar's Scaled Coif. This completes the quest. Reward: Shestar's Scaled Coif

Shuriken of Scale (Unsolved): Ask the guy who sells books in the monk guild, 'What lost book of the scale?' He will say some stuff about the lost records of talon and his life, and give you the book of scale.

A Cracked Diamond sometimes drops off the ancient wyvern in Skyfire. I am told that if you have a jeweler (skill of at least 200) combine that and 3 bars of galvanized platinum you will get the Shuriken.

Need all dialogues, list of required quest items, list of rewards, faction hits if any, /loc of quest mobs.

Once done, you are asked to combine the skins and take the Full Leech Husk Pouch to a local tailor by the name of Klok Mugruk. He will then hand you a ready made Training Bag Husk and tell you that you need to get three Piles of Granite Pebbles and then you can tailor a Monk Training Bag for your caste. When you tailor these together, you get a Monk Training Bag. Hand this back to Master Bain and he will reward you with a random piece of Sparring Armor. Generally, the sparring armor has the same AC stats as curscale, with a few stat bonuses thrown in. Reward: Sparring Rib Pad
    Reward: Sparring Shoulder Pads
    Reward: Sparring Collar
    Reward: Sparring Shin Guards
    Reward: Sparring Headgear
    Reward: Sparring Clogs
    Reward: Sparring Facemask
    Reward: Sparring Harness
    Reward: Sparring Arm Guards
    Reward: Sparring Grappler Gloves

The Penance (Normal): This quest lets you get back your newbie robe/weapon in case you lost it so that you can do the quests that require it. Hail your Guild Master to start the quest. Each class starts a little different, but the phrases are pretty obvious.

Toilmaster Path. This part is the same for everyone.

Then you get a Ragged Book. Read it (it is quite interesting). Then go to East Cabilis and find The Toilmaster. Give him the book and...

The Toilmaster looks at the tome and speaks to you, scowling, 'Very well Broodling, I have a task for you. I should make you work at the feet of my Froglok Slaves, crushing granite, but the lore of the Brood has a specific rite for this situation. Take this book and learn the will of Cazic-Thule. Read it and ask me any questions that you may have before you start your penance. It would be a shame for you to fail at this task as well... though I wouldn't mind destroying you.'

You receive a book called Rites of Exoneration. Read the book, it tells you to ask him for the hammer and a bag.

    You say, 'Hail The Toilmaster'

The Toilmaster says 'Do not bother me unless you wish to join the chain gang. Now go away or I shall have my slaves chop you as they chop this granite!'

You say, 'I need the Hammer of Exoneration'

The Toilmaster hands you a massive hammer and says, 'So, you can read. Good for you. Don't think that you're going to make an impression on me with that rubbish. Let's see if you can handle this hammer like you can that book, whelp.'

The Toilmaster hands you the Hammer of Exoneration, 4/60, effect: Bone Shatter, wt. 25.0. You have to make this hammer proc 54 times.

You say, 'I need the bag'

The Toilmaster turns his head to focus on you and hands you a dusty bag. He then returns to looking into the distance, just over your left shoulder.

He hands you Penance Bag, an 8 slot bag, in which you will later combine 7 Powdered Bones and 1 Flask of Bloodwater.

For now, go back to West Cabilis. In the building near the necro guild on the wall, there's a mortician. He's a skelly, but he won't hurt you.

    You say, 'Hail a mortician'

a mortician stares at you with hollow eye sockets. As he opens his jaw to speak, you are overcome by the foul smell of a thousand rotted corpses. 'What is your desire, master?'

You say, 'I desire a mortar and pestle'

a mortician moves with a mixture of creaks and clicks and produces a grotesque looking mortar and pestle set. He places the items in your hands and motions indicating you dismissal. You can feel the vile power of your god moving throughout the material that makes up the two items.

The Grotesque Mortar and Pestle is what you combine the bone fragments in that you get. It's an 8 slot container. Here's the part where it gets BORING. I went to Lake of Ill Omen, there's lots of mobs there that you can fight for a long time without causing too much harm. If you get low on life, cast leach or something.

When you do get 8 Bone Fragments, you combine them in the mortar and pestle and you get a white Powdered Bone. Put that in the bag. You need 7 of them. When you have 7 Powdered Bones, put one Flask of Bloodwater in there and hit combine to get a Filled Penance Bag. Then turn that bag and the book you have into your guild master.

    Necromancer version:

    You say, 'Hail Nihilist Zeegarn'

Nihilist Zeegarn says 'Mind yourself within Cabilis. We will not tolerate any mischief. If you don't heed my warnings, you may be sentenced to the pit of the Crusaders of Greenmist. You don't want that! Also, you should always wear your robe when entering these walls. You do have your Drape of the Brood, correct?

You say, 'I do not have my drape of the brood'

Nihilist Zeegarn says 'What is this?' the Nihilist barks in disbelief. 'You have lost your drape? This is unacceptable! Take this note and report to the Toilmaster at once. Read it on the way and praise Cazic-Thule for any mercy that you may be granted!'

    Shaman version:

    You say, 'Hail, Hierophant Zand'

Hierophant Zand raises his hand and looks up. 'May the wisdom of the ancients lead your soul to suffering and everlasting pain. Such is the will of Cazic-Thule. I see something in your eyes, Grizzer. Have you lost something... your cudgel perhaps?'

    You say, 'yes'

Hierophant Zand says 'That is most unfortunate for you. Your suffering will be extended on this plane, until you find your way back to us. Take this and read it on your way to speak with the Toilmaster. He will guide you. Yesssss...' You feel as if something is peering at you from behind the speaker's soulless eyes as the last letter he speaks transforms into a sigh.'

He then hands you the book.

Nihilist Zeegarn takes the bag and tome from you and in return gives you the item that you have been thinking of all of this time. Lucky, you... you have earned a second chance. Praise Cazic-Thule! You get your Newbie Robe back.

    Monk version:

    You say, 'Hail, Master Niska'

Master Niska bows with elegance and grace. You can see her arms rippling with muscles. 'Greetings. We are the Swifttails. We are the harnessers of the elements. We are the tails of discipline. To achieve rebirth into our castle is a great honor indeed. We can be identified by our adornments. You should display that which we have given you to adorn your arms with pride. You do have your bracer, correct?

You say, 'I do not have my bracer'

Master Niska says, 'You dare disgrace us?' She hisses at you. 'If you have truly lost the marking of our caste, you will need to take this note and speak to the Toilmaster immediately. Read it on the way and praise the will of Cazic-Thule.'

Your faction standing with Swift tails has been adjusted by 100.
Your faction standing with Legion of Cabilis has been adjusted by 25.

    Shadownight version:

    Human Shadowknight

    You say, 'Hail, Squire Gristle'

Squire Gristle says, 'Hail, Broodling! When you walk the halls of this tower, you should always display the status that you have earned within our ranks. It brings me pride to see the might of the brood displayed by one such as you while I reflect here in the tower. Do you have the tool of your caste with you at this time?'

You say, 'I do not have my kukri'

Squire Gristle shakes his head and growls. That is not good, broodling... Not good at all. You will need to take this note and seek out the Toilmaster immediately. Read it on the way and hope that your incompetence can be overcome. We do have a pit for you, should this prove to be impossible.

The Toilmaster looks at the tome and speaks to you, scowling, 'Very well, broodling, I have a task for you. I should make you work at the feet of my froglok slaves, crushing granite, but the lore of the brood has a specific rite for this situation. Take this book and learn the will of Cazic-Thule. Read it and ask me any questions you may have before you start your penance. It would be a shame for you to fail at this task as well... though I wouldn't mind destroying you.'

    You say, 'hammer of exoneration'

The Toilmaster hands you a massive hammer and says, 'So, you can read. Good for you. Don't think that you're going to make an impression on me with that rubbish. Let's see if you can handle this hammer like you can that book, whelp.'

You say, 'i need the bag'

The Toilmaster turns his head to focus on you and hands you a dusty bag. He then returns to looking into the distance, just over your left shoulder.

Just say 'Yes' to him and you get this message when he hands you the ragged book:

Crusader Zixo roars at you, heat pouring into his dead eyes. 'Do you know what this means, wretch? I will give you one chance to prevent your floating near my feet. Take this tome and go speak to the Toilmaster. MOVE, while you still have breath.'

Need all dialogues, faction hits, quest items, /loc of quest mobs, any other missing info. Reward: Shackle of Dust

The Restraining Order (Normal): Clerk Doval spawns at +877, -74, +18.20 on the upper floor of the Tink 'N Babble. He only spawns during the day. At night, Grype can be found at his location.

    You say, 'Hail, Clerk Doval'

Clerk Doval takes a sip of lager and looks up at you. 'Ahh!! An adventurer of sorts? Looking for work, are we? If you have the time, I might have a bit of a [proposition] for you.'

    You say, 'What proposition?'

Clerk Doval says 'I was sent by the Legion to deliver a restraining order to a few of the troopers. They have been ordered to stay away from the tavern. They have spent too much time drinking and not enough training. I am to have them initial the restraint order list, but my feet are killing me. Perhaps you could [deliver the restraining order]?'

You say, 'I can deliver the restraining order.'

Clerk Doval says 'Here is the restraint order. Go to the troopers and ask them to [sign the restraining order]. Also, make sure to have them sign it in alphabetical order. I am a very big stickler about this. The troopers' names are as follows; Ozlot, Ogmire, Nish Nish, Frogzin, Gummin, Inkin, Roklon, Taer, Fryp and Selbat. When all is done, I shall pay you.'

Once you agree, he hands you a Legion Order [0 signed] which must be signed by all ten troopers, in alphabetical order. Find each trooper and give them the restraining order. Each will sign the order, and return it to you, though some require sub-tasks to get them to sign. The troopers' names and what they want to sign are (in alphabetical order):

    1. Trooper Frogzin found at the Lake of Ill Omen, at the city gates -- will just sign it,

You say, 'You must sign this restraining order'

Trooper Frogzin looks very upset at your mention of the order. 'I cannot believe I have been banned from what little enjoyment can be found in Cabilis. Oh, well, I cannot argue with a legion order. Hand me the order so that I may sign it.'

    7. Trooper Ozlot found next to the gate to Warslik's Wood.

You say, 'You must sign this restraining order'

Trooper Ozlot says, 'I do not believe you were sent by the legion. You do not look as though you could squash a kitten or even a bug. Only then will I sign the order for you.'

    9. Trooper Selbat is found in a building in the Lake of Ill Omen, near the city gate.

You say, 'You must sign this restraining order'

Trooper Selbat says, 'I knew this time would come. I will slay you for bringing this to me... No... I'd best not make the officers angry. Hand me the order and I shall sign it.'

    Hand him the Legion Order:

Trooper Selbat signs the note and hands back to you. 'Be off now. Before I do choose to slay the messenger.'

You receive Legion Order [9 signed].

You say, 'You must sign this restraining order'

Trooper Taer says, 'Oh, no! My good times have come to an end. Hand me the note and I shall sign it.'

    Hand him the Legion Order:

Trooper Taer says, 'Ha ha! Look at all the names. Ozlot and Frogzin. What lushes. Here you are. I can't imagine there being any others to sign. This is the entire Cabilis brew brigade. Alas... Disbanded forever.'

You receive Legion Order [all signed].

Note that you can also sometimes loot a completely signed legion order from frogloks in the swamp.

Warrior Pike #1 (Militia Pike) (Normal): This is the first upgraded warrior pike quest. Drill Master Vygan may be found at -456, 26.

You say, 'Hail, Drill Master Vygan'

Drill Master Vygan says 'I am a Drill Master of the Legion of Cabilis. I have no time for idle chitchat. Be off if you were not summoned to this fortress! Find that guild which was chosen for you as an egg.'

You say, 'I desire to upgrade the partisan pike'

Drill Master Vygan says 'It seems as though a traitor is among our people. Someone has smuggled shackle keys to the slaves. The froglok slaves have been escaping into the swamplands and there we can hear the whistle of their contact who escorts them to freedom. We must put a stop to this! I desire three things. Your partisan pike, the head of the Iksar traitor and the whistle of the escort. Bring these to me and I shall give you the militia pike.'

Drill Master Vygan wants you to find the traitor who is helping the froglok slaves escape, along with his froglok accomplice. You'll need to head to the Swamp of No Hope first, and look for "a froglok escort" or "Froglok Escort" and kill it. They can be found near the newbie area, usually on the first island South of the city along the road.

a froglok escort says 'Grripp.. Must not interfere with my mission!! Ribbit.'
You have slain a froglok escort!
a froglok escort's corpse says 'Gcroooakk.. I have failed.. Unghhh.'
--You have looted a Bixie Berry Pie.--
--You have looted a Froglok Escort Fife.--

You now have the whistle that the Drill Master speaks of, and a new clue: a Bixie Berry Pie. If you go to the bakers near the bank in East Cabilis, you'll find a Klok that mentions pies. Talk to him about it.

Klok Unlar wipes flour from his hands and turns to greet you. 'Welcome! Please look over my many treats. Do not think of the coin you shall spend. Heavy coin buys the finest and sweetest of treats. Feel free to ask me about any of the rare pies you see as I can tell you exactly how I make them.'

You say, 'What bixie berry pie?'

Klok Unlar says 'Bixie berry pie?!! It is no treat and is poisonous to the Iksar. We use it to keep our froglok slaves nourished. My apprentice baker, Bugrin, bakes them and delivers them to the slaves. Only he has access to the bixie berry pie recipe. All the pies are eaten by the slaves. If you think you have one, you must be mistaken. Let me see it if you believe you have one.'

Klok Unlar breaks open the crust of the pie. 'Wait! What is this? A device of some kind? It looks kind of like some sort of lockpick. BUGRIN!! Get in here and answer some questions at once!!'

Just outside the Klok's shop Bugrin the Gatherer will spawn. You must get outside and kill him fast, as he will try to run away (very quickly).

Bugrin the Gatherer says 'You will never take me alive!!'
You have slain Bugrin the Gatherer!
Bugrin the Gatherer's corpse says 'hisss.. You will never stop the.. Radiant.. Green..'
--You have looted a An Iksar Head.--

Now that you've looted his head, you have what the Drill Master wants. Take the "An Iksar Head", "Froglok Escort Fife", and your Partisan Pike to Drill Master Vygan and turn them in.

Drill Master Vygan says 'You shall wield no militia pike until I have the head of the traitor, the fife of the escort and the partisan pike.'
Drill Master Vygan says 'You shall wield no militia pike until I have the head of the traitor, the fife of the escort and the partisan pike.'
Drill Master Vygan says 'You have perfomed just as expected. I bestow upon you the rank of militiaman. Here is your new pike. Past this, you shall require the [geozite tool] to upgrade your future pikes and mancatchers. We see much promise in you, militiaman. Go forth to serve the realm.'

Warrior Pike #2 (Footman's Pike) (Normal): This is the second upgraded warrior pike quest.

You say, 'Hail, Drill Master Kyg'

Drill Master Kyg says 'Welcome. Welcome!! Time to train. Time to fight. Time to serve the Iksar Empire. You will need weapons. I have the [footman pike] for all new recruits to earn.'

    You say, 'what footman pike?'

Drill Master Kyg says 'A footman pike is what you need. A footman pike is what you get, but earn it you will. You must [slay many beasts] to prove to us that you are a true warrior. Fail and you will be exiled to live with the Forsaken.'

You say, 'I will slay many beasts'

Drill Master Kyg says 'Yes. You will slay or you will be slain. Take this footman's pack and fill it you will. Fill it with [weapons of our foes]. When all are combined, the full footman's pack shall be returned to me along with your militia pike. Do this and earn your footman pike and then we may have a true mission for you.'

You say, 'what weapons of our foes?'

Drill Master Kyg says 'Yes. You need to know the weapons required. Fill the pack with javelins. Froglok bounder and goblin hunter javelins. Two of each.'

    You receive a "Footman's Pack" (4-slot container).

Drill Master Kyg has a mission you need to complete if you want to get your Footman's Pike. He wants you to find four javelins, two from froglok bounders (found near the middle of the Swamp of No Hope) and two from goblin hunters (found in the middle of the valley leading to the lake in the Lake of Ill Omen).

About one out of four goblin hunters and froglok bounders will have the javelin. They will equip it if they have it. They are named "Goblin Hunter Javelin" and "Froglok Bounder Javelin". Once you have all four, combine them in the Footman's Pack to receive "Full Footman's Pack".

Return to Drill Master Kyg and hand in your Full Footman's Pack and your Militia Pike.

Drill Master Kyg says 'You were instructed to return with the full footmans pack and your militia pike.'
Drill Master Kyg says 'Kyg knew you could do it. You will make a fine legionnaire some day but, for now, you shall be a footman. Take the footman pike head plans. Forge the footman's pike. Do so, and then you may have an audience with the War Baron on the subject of his [Memory of Sebilis].'

Your faction standing with Cabilis Residents got better.
Your faction standing with Scaled Mystics got better.
Your faction standing with Crusaders Of Greenmist got better.

    You gain experience!!

You will have received "Footman Head Plans"

You now need to forge your Footman's Pike. Go outside the fort near the forge and find Weaponsmith Grugl. He can tell you how to make your Footman's Pike.

    You say, 'what footman's pike?'

Weaponsmith Grugl says 'To forge a footman pike requires skill as well as an iron rod, forging hammer and a footman pike head. To forge the pike head you will need a geozite tool, raw pike head and petrified redwood if the footman pike head plans are yours.'

Buy a "Raw Pike Head", "Forging Hammer", and an "Iron Rod" from Weaponsmith Grugl.

In a forge, combine "A Raw Pike Head", "Footman Head Plans", "Petrified Redwood" (foraged in Warslik's Woods or dropped from succulents in The Overthere), and your Geozite Tool (obtained by a quest from Drill Master Vygan). You'll receive "Footman's Pike Head" (blacksmithing, 15 trivial). If you fail you'll receive your Geozite Tool and your Footman Head Plans back.

You then need to combine an "Iron Rod", "Forging Hammer", and your "Footman's Pike Head" in the forge to obtain your Footman's Pike. If you fail the combine you'll receive your Footman's Pike Head back (trivial is 21).

Congratulations, you've received your Footman's Pike! Reward: Footman's Pike

Warrior Pike #3 (Soldier's Pike) (Normal): This is the third upgraded warrior pike quest.

You say, 'Hail, War Baron Eator'

War Baron Eator turns to you and snorts in anger. Some mucus lands on your cheek. 'Troopers! I thought I ordered you to keep all new recruits away from this chamber! Go, child. The War Baron of Cabilis has no time for games. See this intruder out!!'

You say, 'What memory of Sebilis?'

War Baron Eator takes a step back and thinks to himself. Phlegm dribbles off his lips. 'The Memory of Sebilis. Kept within my personal chambers. They have been taken. Taken by some croakin' Forsaken no doubt!! You have been sent to me because you show excellent prowess. Find my Memory and bring it to me with your footman's pike.'

Seek out Klok Poklon in the Tink and Babble in East Cabilis at /loc +908, -71 in the house near the castle, on the first floor.

    You say, 'Hail, Klok Poklon'

Klok Poklon says 'Greetings, thirsty traveler. Pull up a stool and lay yer copper down. It's time to drink and be merry. Just don't get too merry or I will have to call the troopers.'

You say, 'What memory of Sebilis?'

Klok Poklon takes a sip of Legion Lager. 'Puhh...lease!! That's the little trophy the War Baron brought back from Sebilis. He got it stolen from him by some thieves!! I say it was the [Steelhead gang]. They were waltzing in and out of Cabilis like it was a blasted public vomitorium!!'

    You say, 'What steelhead gang?'

Klok Poklon picks some flesh from between his teeth. 'The Steelhead gang were a band of Forsaken thieves. No one knew this!! They used to walk around here like they were rebirthed!! They used to frequent my place and get involved in head butt contests. Whew!! I tell ya, the only way to crack their skulls is with a forging hammer!! Heheh!!'

The Memory of Sebilis is a set of three gems stolen by the Steelhead Gang. They are now dead and are roaming the basement of Kurn's Tower as "thick skeletons". thick tailed skeleton drops "An Emerald" (identifies as "The Gardens of Sebilis"), thick boned skeleton drops "A Sapphire" (identifies as "The Pools of Sebilis"), and thick skulled skeleton drops "Thick Iksar Skull" (identifies as "a crimson gem is stuck inside").

Once you get all three, you'll need to remove the last gem from the skull. As Klok Poklon hinted, you'll need to combine the "Thick Iksar Skull" in a forge with a "Forging Hammer" buyable from Weaponsmith Grugl. Upon success you will receive a LORE Ruby (identifies as "The Blood of Sebilis").

Note that all three gems are Lore and tradeable.

Take all three gems (Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire) and your Footman's Pike to War Baron Eator in the fort in East Cabilis. Hand them in.

War Baron Eator shines a bright smile which quickly fades to a frown. 'The memory is not complete. ..sniff, sniff.. A reward for my memory and your footman's pike.'

War Baron Eator gulps down a wad of phlegm. 'My memory has returned! Boneripper! You are no footman. I grant you the rank of soldier. Go and forge your weapon. Do not return to me until you become a [brave trooper of the empire].'

You receive "Soldier Head Plans". You now need to forge your Soldier's Pike. Find Weaponsmith Grugl outside the fort in East Cabilis.

You say, 'How do I forge a soldier pike?'

Weaponsmith Grugl says 'To forge a soldier pike requires skill, not to mention an iron rod, a forging hammer plus a soldier pike head. To forge the pike head, you will need a geozite tool, raw pike head and frontier fools gold as well as the soldier pike head plans.'

Buy a "Raw Pike Head", "Forging Hammer", and an "Iron Rod" from Weaponsmith Grugl.

In a forge, combine "A Raw Pike Head", "Soldier Head Plans", "Gold Nugget" (foraged in Frontier Mountains - there are two, you want the one that identifies as "Frontier Fool's Gold), and your Geozite Tool (obtained by a quest from Drill Master Vygan). You'll receive "Soldier's Pike Head" (blacksmithing, 15 trivial). If you fail you'll receive your Geozite Tool and your Soldier Head Plans back.

Congratulations, you have your Soldier's Pike! Reward: Soldier's Pike

Warrior Pike #4 (Trooper's Pike) (Normal): This is the fourth upgraded warrior pike quest.

Seek out Drill Master Kyg in the fort in East Cabilis.

Note: Missing the clue that leads someone to ask Drill Master Kyg about Footman Moglok

You say, 'What about Footman Moglok?'

Drill Master Kyg says 'My dear friend, Warlord Hikyg of the Swamp Gate has encountered some difficulty with a Trooper Moglok. He requested that I find a brave soldier to take charge of the situation. Are you willing to [assist Warlord Hikyg]?'

You say, 'I will assist Warlord Hikyg'

Drill Master Kyg says 'Good. Take this note to Footman Moglok of the swamp garrison. He shall instruct you on your mission.'

You receive a Sealed Note, which identifies as "To Moglok." It reads:

Trooper Moglok, I have sent you this skilled Footman. Use the Footman in any way you wish. Hopefully he will allow you to complete your mission for Warlord Hikyg. Drill Master Kyg

Find Footman Moglok in the Swamp of No Hope. He's sitting in a corner of one of the buildings near the East Cabilis zone.

    You say, 'Hail, Footman Moglok'

Footman Moglok looks at you with sorrowful eyes and wipes his dripping nose. 'Woe is me. I am nothing more than a lowly footman. And spare me the smart remarks - 'Moglok the Froglok' - I have heard all the jokes.'

    Hand him the note.

Footman Moglok beams a big smile. 'Oh, joy! They have finally sent someone to help me on my mission! I was once a trooper, but I got demoted. I failed to bring Warlord Hikyg the three heads of the Gubbnubb triplets. Here is one head, but we need them all. Track the other two down and take all three heads and your soldier pike to Warlord Hikyg. I quit this outfit!!

You receive "A Froglok Head", which identifies as "Head of Narsh". You now need to seek out the other two heads.

The second head can be found in the Swamp of No Hope, off of "a froglok outlander" at location 830, -2880. This is near the waterfall leading to the Trakanon's Teeth zoneline. There are two static spawns there. The one to the West is always a "froglok outlander" and drops "A Froglok Head" (identifies as "Head of Barsh") and a Innothule Mushroom.

The third head can be found in three different zones.

The easiest place to find it is from the Swamp of No Hope. The spawn next to the froglok outlander that drops the Head of Barsh can rarely spawn another "froglok outlander". It's somewhat of a rare spawn and the common spawn is a "froglok gaz knight". You'll know that you have the right PH as killing the PH gives you negative "Frogloks of Guk" faction (as opposed to the normal "Frogloks of Kunark"). This outlander will drop "A Froglok Head" (identifies as "Head of Flindle") and a "Ornate Tin Box" (use unknown).

The outlander that drops the Head of Flindle can also be found in Innothule Swamp (as a roamer that has an unknown PH - possibly "a froglok forager") and in Upper Guk (near location 1500, 400). Both of these drop the head and the box.

Once you have all three heads, go to Warlord Hikyg and turn in the three heads and your Soldier's Pike.

Warlord Hikyg looks at you in disgust. 'I was expecting the heads of Narsh, Barsh and Flendle, as well as your soldier's pike. Then, you will be promoted to the rank of Trooper.'
Warlord Hikyg looks at you in disgust. 'I was expecting the heads of Narsh, Barsh and Flendle, as well as your soldier's pike. Then, you will be promoted to the rank of Trooper.'
Warlord Hikyg looks at you in disgust. 'I was expecting the heads of Narsh, Barsh and Flendle, as well as your soldier's pike. Then, you will be promoted to the rank of Trooper.'

You say, 'How do I forge a trooper pike?'

Weaponsmith Grugl says 'To forge a trooper pike requires much skill! You also need an iron rod, forging hammer plus a trooper pike head. To forge the pike head, you will need the trooper pike head plans, a geozite tool, raw pike head and a radiant meteorite.'

Buy a "Raw Pike Head", "Forging Hammer", and an "Iron Rod" from Weaponsmith Grugl.

In a forge, combine "A Raw Pike Head", "Trooper Head Plans", "Radiant Meteorite" (foraged in the Burning Woods - tradeable) and your Geozite Tool (obtained by a quest from Drill Master Vygan). You'll receive "Trooper's Pike Head" (blacksmithing, 15 trivial). If you fail you'll receive your Geozite Tool and your Trooper Head Plans back.

You then need to combine an "Iron Rod", "Forging Hammer", and your "Trooper's Pike Head" in the forge to obtain your Trooper's Pike. If you fail the combine you'll receive your Trooper's Pike Head back (not trivial at 63 blacksmithing).

Congratulations, you've received your Trooper's Pike! Reward: Trooper's Pike

Warrior Pike #5 (Legionnaire's Mancatcher) (Normal): This is the fifth upgraded warrior pike quest.

Seek out War Baron Eator in the fort in East Cabilis.

You say, 'I am a brave trooper of the empire'

War Baron Eator says 'So you are a trooper? Word of your deeds has been spreading through the legion. If you truly wield the pike of a trooper, then go and serve the garrisons of swamp, lake and woods. Report to the Warlord and tell him you are a [trooper reporting for duty]. Their recommendations and your trooper pike shall earn you the rank of legionnaire.'

You need to seek out the three Warlords, and perform a task for them to get their recommendation to promote you to the rank of Legionnaire. Each is in the city area of the Lake of Ill Omen, the Swamp of No Hope, and Warslik's Woods.

Go to Warlord Geot in the Lake of Ill Omen.

    You say, 'Hail, Warlord Geot'

Warlord Geot says 'Greetings!! You look like an adventurer. I have a bit of a problem with which you might be able to help. You see, there have been reports of sarnak hatchlings near the lake. I do not know why they are here, but I do know we need them exterminated. Here is the deal.. You bash them good and return their brains to me. For every four brains, I shall reward you.'

You say, 'I am a trooper reporting for duty'

Warlord Geot says 'Very good to have you on board, Trooper _____! We have had reports of sarnak legionnaires attacking caravans. I shall require you to find these sarnak legionnaires. Take this pack. Fill and combine it with as many of their brains as sill fit inside. Return the full pack to me and I shall consider you for a promotion.'

You receive a "Lake Garrison Pack", a four slot container.

Find and kill Sarnaks named "a sarnak legionnaire". They will each drop a "Tattooed Sarnak Head", which identifies as "Head with Legionnaire Tattoo". Get four of them and combine them in the Lake Garrison Pack to receive an item named "Four Sarnak Heads". Hand this in to Warlord Geot.

Warlord Geot says 'Very good. I cannot see any reason a warrior like you should waste their time on the patrols of a trooper. I shall recommend you for a promotion. I hope the War Baron agrees.'

Warlord Vyzer says 'Greetings, small one! You should not waste your time in the safety of the troopers' patrols. Go forth into the land and earn your stripes in battle. Become a greater asset to the Iksar empire.'

You say, 'I am a trooper reporting for duty'

Warlord Vyzer says 'Welcome to my garrison, Trooper _____. Lucky for you that you do not serve the inferior swamp garrison. They lose more troopers than any legion unit. You have come just in time. We need you to take this pack and fill it with goblin warlord warbeads. Combine the beads in the pack and return it to me.'

You receive a "Woods Garrison Pack", a four slot container.

Find and kill "Goblin Warlords" in either the Lake of Ill Omen or Warslik's Woods. They each drop "Goblin Warlord Warbeads". Combine four of them in the Woods Garrison Pack to receive an item named "Four Warbeads" (identifies as "Full Warlord Warbead Pack"). Hand this in to Warlord Vyzer.

You say, 'I am a trooper reporting for duty'

Warlord Hikyg says 'It is about time they sent new troopers for my garrison!! This is the toughest garrison in Kunark!! And you're going to help prove it. The legion needs to get a hold of some new frog shields called Krup warrior guards. You're going to take this pack and fill it with not one, but four!! When you can return a full, combined pack to me, maybe you will show me that you're not as weak as you look!!'

You receive a "Swamp Garrison Pack", a four slot container.

Find and kill "froglok krup guards" in the Swamp of No Hope. They only spawn in Krup, the frog city, and are a fairly rare spawn. They will each drop a "Krup Warrior Guard". Combine four of those in the Swamp Garrison Pack to receive an item named "Four Crushed Shields" (identifies as "Full Krup Shield Pack"). Hand this in to Warlord Hikyg.

    You say, 'What legionnaire mancatcher?'

Weaponsmith Grugl says 'To forge a legionnaire mancatcher, a blacksmith of great skill would need the steel rod, forge hammer and the forged legionnaire mancatcher crown. That crown is forged with the geozite tool, legionnaire crown plans, a raw crown and a peridot.'

Buy a "A Mancatcher Crown", "Forging Hammer", and a "Steel Rod" from Weaponsmith Grugl. Purchase a "peridot" (gem) from the gem merchants near the bank.

In a forge, combine "A Raw Mancatcher Crown", "Legionnaire Crown Plans", "peridot", and your Geozite Tool (obtained by a quest from Drill Master Vygan). You'll receive "Legionnaire's Mancatcher Crown" (blacksmithing, 15 trivial). If you fail you'll receive your Geozite Tool and your Legionnaire Crown Plans back.

You then need to combine an "Steel Rod", "Forging Hammer", and your "Legionnaire Mancatcher Crown" in the forge to obtain your Legionnaire's Mancatcher (blacksmithing, 170? trivial). If you fail the combine you'll receive your Legionnaire's Mancatcher Crown back.

Congratulations, you've received your Legionnaire's Mancatcher! Reward: Legionnaire's Mancatcher

Warrior Pike #6 (Champion's Mancatcher) (Normal): Drill Master Vygan may be found at the top of Fortress Talishan at -456, 26.

You say, 'Hail, Drill Master Vygan'

Drill Master Vygan says 'I am a Drill Master of the Legion of Cabilis. I have no time for idle chitchat. Be off if you were not summoned to this fortress! Find that guild which was chosen for you as an egg.'

You say, 'I am a true warrior of the legion.'

Drill Master Vygan says 'If you are you will have proof; else you will have the wrath of the Legion upon you for such a claim.'

    Give him your Legionnaire's Mancatcher.

Drill Master Vygan says 'Ah, I have heard much of your deeds as of late ______, but there is still much to be [done].'

You say, 'What is to be done?'

Drill Master Vygan says 'It seems as though there is an uprising starting to brew and the War Baron would like a [legionnaire] to handle the situation.'

You say, 'I am a legionnaire.'

Drill Master Vygan says 'Yes you are. I see you are willing to possibly sacrifice yourself for the cause. That is good. Take this container and hunt down their messengers. They are the ones that relay battle plans to the different tribes. Their combined messages will reveal the master plan. Go now and do not return until you have them all.'

He hands you a Book of Bindings, a 4-slot TINY container. You need to gather four different pieces called An Unfinished Note and combine them in the book.

The first may be found off A Goblin Messenger in Warsliks Woods, near the southern entrance to the goblin fort.

The second may be found off A Sarnak Messenger in The Overthere.

The third may be found off A Goblin Messenger in the Frontier Mountains near the entrance to the Mines of Nurga.

The fourth may be found off A Sarnak Messenger at the Lake of Ill Omens near the zoneline to the Frontier Mountains.

Combine the four pieces in the book to craft an Illegible Message and give this back to Vygan.

Drill Master Vygan says 'Hmm. . . even if the writing wasn't as smudged as it is, I still would not be able to decipher the hidden message. You must now take this and find someone with the ability to read it. I hear there is such a person on patrol but I cannot recall where.'

You receive the note back. The person you're looking for is Trooper Drix, on patrol at the small ruins north of the pit in the Field of Bone.

    You say, 'Hail, Trooper Drix'

Trooper Drix says 'Can't you see I am busy on patrol!'

    Give him the note.

Trooper Drix says 'Ah, I see you know my true [calling].'

    You say, 'What calling?'

Trooper Drix says 'I am the leading authority on restoring and deciphering hidden messages. I can probably make out the message if you can bring me back some [items] I commonly use.'

    You say, 'What items?'

Trooper Drix says 'I will need your message, a frost crystal, a sarnak war braid, and some silver oxide. Bring these items back to me and be quick about it.'

You receive a 4-slot container called Drix's Satchel.

Frost crystals are droppable and may be foraged in the Dreadlands.

Sarnak War Braids drop from a Sarnak berserker in The Overthere. If they have one, it will be equipped.

Silver Oxide drops off of a A Bloodgill Goblin Scavenger in the Lake of Ill Omen, found on one of the pillars underwater near the entrance to Veksar.

Combine the note and the three other items in the box to craft a different version of Drix's Satchel. Give this to Drix.

Trooper Drix says 'Let me see now.'

Trooper Drix uses the mixture you brought him and spreads it evenly across your document. It settles into all the wrinkles and with the speed of a Master, Trooper Drix uses the sarnak braid to seal the pieces as one.

You receive a sealed note (what are the exact name and item lore in-game?).

Trooper Drix says 'Take this sealed note back to whoever you need to. I dare not say what it reads out loud.'

Return to Vygan and give him the note.

Drill Master Vygan says 'I see you have returned in one piece. That is good. You have shown that you are a true warrior of the Legion indeed! Take this, and show that you are more than a legionnaire. I fear we may need just that [before this issue is over].'

    You receive Champion Crown Plans.

You say, 'Before what issue is over?'

Drill Master Vygan says 'Do not concern yourself for now. Rejoice instead and seek out Weaponsmith Grugl to guide you in forging your new weapon. I must speak to War Baron Eator regarding the welfare of Cabilis now.'

To Weaponsmith Grugl (also in East Cabilis, just outside the fort):

    You say, 'Hail, Weaponsmith Grugl'

Weaponsmith Grugl sets down a blood-spattered mace. 'Come to assist in the testing of the bashing equipment? Nah. Not you. You are too small. You must be here to practice your forging.'

You say, 'How do I forge a Champion's Mancatcher?'

Weaponsmith Grugl says 'To forge a Champion mancatcher a blacksmith of great skill would need a steel rod, a forge hammer, and a forged Champion mancatcher crown. That crown is forged with a geozite tool, crown plans, a raw crown, and an opal.'

Grugl sells the rod, hammer, and a mancatcher crown. Opals may also be purchased in East Cabilis from the jewelery merchant. Combine the plans, an opal, the geozite tool, and the mancatcher crown in a forge to craft a Champion's Mancatcher Crown (trivial?). Combine the Champion's Mancatcher Crown, a steel rod, and a forging hammer to craft the Champion's Mancatcher (trivial? no-fail?). Reward: Champion's Mancatcher

    Whistling Fists (Normal):

NOTE: A patch on March 25, 2015, added a work-around to obtain items from Cazic Thule, Dread, Fright, and Terror:

In the Plane of Fear, a harbinger of Fear can help adventurers get their epic 1.0 pieces that would normally drop from Cazic-Thule or the golems. These pieces cannot be multi-quested or traded. In addition, a harbinger of Fear can advance the Whistling Fists quest in the same way as Cazic-Thule.

You must first do the monk shackle quests. Once you finish with the steel shackle you need to do 3 tests.

    1. Newbie note hand in ( Else wise known as Shackle of Dust quest)
    2. Shackle of Clay
    3. Shackle of Stone
    4. Shackle of Rock
    5. Shackle of Copper
    6. Shackle of Bronze
    7. Shackle of Steel
    8. Shackle of Tynnonium

The first is in town with Grandmaster Glox. Say "I am Ready for the Trial of Agility". You then will have to fight him (he is light blue to a 59). He drops the Mark of Agility.

Next there is an Iksar Monk in Timorous Deep named Grandmaster Rinmark. You tell him "I am ready for the Trial of Patience" and he will say that you will know when it's the time to attack. Wait for a few minutes and he will change from GrandMaster to Master. Wait again and he will change from Master to just plain Rinmark. Kill him at that point. He is a little thougher than Glox. He drops a Mark of Patience.

The last test is in Kaesora. You must have the shackle of Steel for this. Take this Shackle to the library and look for a mob on the second floor called Tome Keeper. Hand him the shackle and he gives you a book (called what?). There are different books, so this step varies depending upon which book you get. The book tells you what item you need, where to get it and who to hand it to. Get that item and hand it into the person it tells you to in the book and you will receive the Mark of Mind.

Once you have all 3 marks head to the Dreadlands and look for a monk named Veltar. He is near the FV zoneline on top of the ruins in the desert area. Hand him the 3 marks to get your shackle of Tynnonium. Once you have that shackle head over to Cabilis. Right next to the arena is an underground entrance and look for a monk named Marthor hidden in there at -352.00, -119, -52.

    You say, 'Hail, Marthor'

Marthor hiccups and breathes drunken breath in your face saying, 'Leave me be, can't you see that I am meditating or something?'

You say, 'I have the shackle of Tynnonium.'

Marthor says 'Supreme Master Tynn was the only one that has even seen the weapon. I do not know its origin. I tell you though, you would need to be as powerful as he was to be able to wield the weapon. Only an Iksar of the last rung would be able to use it, come back and show me you have earned your Tynnonium Shackle and I will discuss with you what I know.'

    Hand him the shackle.

Marthor says 'You earned the Tynnonium Shackle? I am sure you wish to seek the fists of lore. Gandan has come as close as anyone, you would have to talk to him. Last I heard his expedition has taken him to the Howling Stones.'

    You get the shackle back.

Head to Howling Stones (Charasis). Fall to the bottom near the entrance (+1 Safe Fall). Find Gandan Tailfist feigning death at 278, -15, -175.

    You say, 'Hail, Gandan Tailfist'

Gandan Tailfist places a foul smelling book in your hands and speaks to you slowly. 'Take this rotting book given to me by lord Cazic-Thule himself, I was given another but it has been lost. The search for the fists will be the end of me. If you are a monk of the final rung show me your Shackle of Tynnonium and I will share with you what I have found.'

You receive a Flayed Skin Tome..

Give him your shackle, which you receive back.

Gandan Tailfist says ' The search for the fists has killed many so I hope that your strength is more than mine and those in the past. I was given this satchel by the lord Cazic-Thule. I have searched for the fists in this place but they are not here. I suggest you seek audience with our lord. Tell him that I have failed in my task. I am sure that he ugnnnnnhnnn.' One last look to you is given before falling completely lifeless to the cold stone.

You receive a Satchel of Flayed Skin.

Now head to PoF and go up to Cazic (or the Shade of Cazic Thule) and tell him that Gandan has failed in his task. You will receive a book (called what?)
that tells you what you have to place in the bag.

You then need to head to Feerott and talk to a new gnome necro named Annaelia Wylassi:

    You say, 'Hail, Annaelia Wylassi'

Annaelia Wylassi says 'If you have nothing other than a hail to offer me you best move along, I need concentration to study these odd bones that I unearthed. Funny thing about them though, they seem to resonate a hum. Quite unusual, you probably aren't interested in that though.'

You say, 'I am interested in that.'

Annaelia Wylassi says 'Are you? I didn't take you for a necromancer. I tried to reanimate these remains but due to the vibration it was too unstable and collapsed. I have given up trying to animate them. I would need more supplies if I were to try again. I am too busy with other research to care though. If you are so interested you could go fetch the supplies for me. I suspect the bone structure is of a human, so I would need a vial of human blood. A jade inlaid coffin would be needed to perform the ritual in. Also a vial of clear mana to bind the bones with strong magic, and an essence emerald to complete the ritual.'

Give her the four items and she gives you Resonant Bone Chips, which identify as "Remains of Zan-Fi."

There is a small quest from the Cabilis monk guild that requires 2 torn halves for a note that you hand in to the master behind Glox and he gives you a Thin flute. Take this flute and hand it in to Brother Balathin in the Dreadlands and he spaws up as a pissed off version of himself -- lvl 61 and hits for a max of 240 and can be slowed. Once killed he drops another flute. That is your second piece.

Now head to Sebilis in the crypt area and look for a skeleton named a fallen monk.

You say, 'Hail, a fallen monk'

A fallen monk says, 'Failed to find the rest I have. If you wish what is mine then give proof of the shackle unto me."

Hand him in your Shackle of Tynnonium.

fallen monk says, "Earn what is mine. Show me when you have the power worthy to wield what i posses.'

It will keep it and respawn as a fallen iksar master. Kill it and and loot Faintly Glowing Fist. That is the 3rd item.

The last piece is hard to get since you have to do the stupendous tome quest (see the write-up for the Crusader's Test of the Lord quest). Once you have that done, head to Trakanon's Teeth with the book and a Crusaders Coffin(Sold in Cabilis). Hand them in to Crusader Vragor (spawns at around n2800 p2785).

    You say, 'Hail, Crusader Vragor'

Crusader Vragor says 'Perhaps you would care to hear a tale, and perhaps you could help me with the ending. it is the tale of the end of Grandmaster Tynn. We all know that Tynn came into Sebilis with no rebirth. I suppose you know he created the caste of Iksar monks, but I doubt you know where he now rests do you?'

You say, 'No, I do not.'

Crusader Vragor says 'Then I shall tell you. Master Tynn chose a place of rest in his old age. While deep in meditation he slipped away and breathed no more. His corpse remained in teh stance of meditation for many years unyielding to the elements. This brings us to recent times. A Trakanasaur that has been named Zhaoku came along the remains and devoured them. The bones too hard to be chewed, he swallowed them whole. To this day he wanders with them lodged in his stomach. Are you interested in knowing where Zhaoku is?'

    You say, 'Yes, tell me!'

Crusader Vragor says 'I will tell you but you must help me first. I have been tied to this plane because of deeds unfinished. I was questing for the stupendous tome for ages to no avail. Without this tome I can not pass on in peace. finish my quest, bring me the stupendous tome and a crusader coffin. I will tell you where the beast rests before I pass on. I doubt you can finish this, but i can always hope.'

Hand him the items he seeks.

Crusader Vragor says 'The tome! I can finally pass on in peace. Before i go I will tell you that Zhaoku rests to the east of here near Old Sebilis. He is gigantic and not easily missed.' Crusader Vragor vanishes into a mist, his sigh of relief the only thing left behind.

    You gain experience!!
    You gain experience!!

He will then spawn a lvl 59 Giant Dino named Zhaoku. Kill him and he will drop Thule Touched Bones and some rare spells. Those bones ID as the Remains of Tynn.

Combine all the bones in the bag and you will get the satchel of Cazic Thule. Then take the bag and the 2 tomes back to Cazic Thule and you receive the Whistling fists.

"Cazic-Thule seems pleased at the amount of pain that you have been able to inflict. Cazic-Thule then grabs your hands and begins to infuse them with his power. Your hands burn like they were placed in lava for a moment, then feel cool as ice. You can feel the sheer power flowing through your new weapons of pain."

Need all dialogues, faction hits if any, minimum required faction to get quest, missing quest mobs/steps, /loc of quest mobs, drop information, missing names of quest items, etc. Reward: Whistling Fists
