I played EQ2. I like the game mechanics (a lot) but it will never be "home". How did you find out about EverQuest, and when did you begin playing? My brother-in-law got me started (damn him). I began playing in January of '03. Do you know anyone in real life who plays EverQuest? A few, there was a time when I spent vacation time from work flying around meeting friends from EQ. Most have moved onto other games or RL (eep). How did you come up with your main character's name? Probably the name generator. It's been a very long time and I don't really remember. Druicide came about because the last year or so I've been running around as "Geaddas Suicide". Voltimand suggested "Druicide was much more fitting. (Currently it's teamjinglebell for the holidays. Some will get it, others won't). What factors affected your choice of race / class for your main character? My first character was a Dwarf Warrior. I was constantly getting killed by pretty much anything, and I had no clue on how to properly play a warrior. When I started another character I tried to find something that could solo and heal themselves and ended up making a druid. I have no idea why I chose halfling (xp bonus /cough). I fell in love with the class and the rest, as they say, is history. About how often do you play EverQuest, and how long is a typical playing session for you? We raid 3-4 nights a week. I'll be on for around six hours on those nights. I usually play on any offnight for at least a few hours. How do you spend your time in game? Trying to get my guildies killed in new exciting ways. They will all confirm this. What other class/race combinations have you levelled past 35? Dwarf Warrior 55, Vah Shir Bard 57, Erudite Magician 55, Ogre Beastlord 68, and of course, Geaddas who is 80. Approximately how much of the EverQuest world have you experienced? It's hard to put a % on it. Clan Mceye started raiding about a year and a half ago and do things just a little bit differently. We didn't want to skip any content so we started raiding with Lord Nagefen and Lady Vox and have moved on cronologically ever since. We are currently in EP (PoP) and just opened Ikky4 (GoD). If you add all the open zones people just xp in on top of the raids from Vox to EP, I'd say around 35% tops, as I don't do quests and there's a ton of raid content that I have not gotten to yet. What is your favourite expansion? I'm loving SoF. It's got great places to xp for almost any group make up, which means I can invite any guildy out to xp (die) at will. What is your least favourite expansion? Luclin. I'm so sick of Ssraeshza Temple I've sworn to never step foot in it again. I understand it was probably awesome back in the day but when you are 75 trying to talk your guild into getting a key for a mob that's 5 years old, and then finally getting there and getting into VT only to realize what a long boring frustrating place it is, you start pulling your hair out and hating the expansion as a whole. (I'm exagerating a bit, everyone always says LoY and I happen to have loved LoY so I had to go with something else). What is your favourite zone? I'm happy anywhere I can watch people die. It's hilarious to see someone freak out about 8% xp. What is your favourite NPC? Any gnome model so I can watch Magicspell try to kill it. What is your favourite raid encounter (if different from NPC)? To date I enjoyed Emperor Ssraeshza kill the most (yes I understand the hypocracy here). Describe your most memorable moment or proudest accomplishment in game. I'd have to say my proudest accomplishment is being part of a guild that progresses together and has not lost the "family" atmosphere that evaoprates at the raiding level. I always enjoy the guild and am honored to be a part of it. What is the largest amount of platinum you have ever had at one time, and how did you go about accumulating it? I'm constantly broke. I go about that by spending all my plat as soon as I get it. What are some things you would change or implement in order to improve EverQuest? Two words: non-collapsible exodus. I think it's insane (and anyone that knows me will understand) that I open up an instant portal for everyone to escape to safety, yet, I don't go through first. Listen.. if I'm the one saving everyone, I'm not waitin' around to see if everyone made it. Portal opens, I'm out. Let it collapse on the slow ogres, not the running-for-his-life-screaming-like-a-schoolgirl-druid. What types of spells, skills, disciplines, and/or alternate abilities would you like to see added to your class? See above. If you were responsible for organizing and running a GM event, what would it be and how would it play out? I read [GM] Dave's bit about running around with a ban stick.. funny story.. think that would be fun. If you had to start over from scratch, what race/class combination would you choose? Vah Shir, Bard. I like my bard much more than the druid, but I'll never get him up high enough to switch him to my main. How do you describe EverQuest to your coworkers or computer-illiterate friends? I tell them "It's like sex. If you haven't done it, you won't understand." What is next for you in the world of EverQuest? EP/Time, beating GoD and getting on to some Omens stuff. ** Pick the winner in a battle between... Qeynos vs Felwithe - going with Felwithe. Innoruuk the Prince of Hate vs Cazic Thule the God of Fear - CT, he has those silly little golem pets. Giants of Velious vs Akhevans of Luclin - Akhevans, even though I hate 'em. Muramites of Discord vs the Drachnids of Darkhollow - Drachnids. Tradeskilling vs Questing - ick ick ick, both are a time sink. I have done more of both than I care to imagine. Instance Zones vs Static Zones - I like static zones so long as I can find a safe spot to kite. Monster Missions vs Project M (PvP as Monsters) - Either. I don't do much of them anymore. Soloing vs Pick-Up Groups - I'd much rather solo. I don't usually group outside Mceye. Guild Raiding vs Grouping With Friends - Guild raiding, more chance of watching Lexielou die. GM (real people) Events vs Scripted (computerized) Events - GM's are fun, I wish they'd show up more in game and give me cookies. Arena Royal Rumble vs 1-on-1 Duel - One on one. Faydwer vs Odus - Faydwer Kunark vs Velious - Kunark Planes of Power vs Gates of Discord - PoP Depths of Darkhollow vs Omens of War - Omens Bard vs Enchanter - Bard Monk vs Rogue - Monk Paladin vs Warrior - I love pally's, goin' with war's though.
