I'm not sure how far in everyone else is, but I'm at 8 episodes so far. One thing that strikes me about this show so far is that so far several deaths have been tragically pointless.
The pickpocket and the bodyguard, for instance.

Yeah, pretty much.
Also, I'm done 15 episodes (have been for a few days, just been busy playing Civ5 and TF2).
I liked Jin & Mugen's back story episodes.

Wakamoto's voice makes an appearance in episode 18.I got 4 episodes in and thoroughly enjoyed it. Then my computer blew up. Not sure if I want to torrent it again on this computer, or just wait until my other one gets fixed.

Honestly I thought it was pretty good, I finished it a couple years ago. If you liked Bebop or Champloo and haven't seen the other I would suggest watching the other.

Apparently, as punishment for putting it off for so long, Netflix decided to pull the show from the streaming on the second day of my "I really have to finish this damn thing" marathon.
