LS-Hopping Good or Bad?Follow

Seems to be another round of "Guardia gives her opinion and no one cares ^^;" This time around i'm just curious as to other people's feelings about LS Hopping.

LS Hopping - Having multiple LS that you switch back and forth between.

I'm not talking about switching to LS that are just for HNM or BCNM or Dynamis and the such. I mean switching to other LS to talk with certain people or ask them for help. I understand the point of it making things a lot easier by spreading out your connections so that you can get things done (Quests/missions/etc). But I dunno it just seems kind of insulting or rude really. It's like saying no LS is good enough for you so you have to have a lot of them. I like to think of a LS as like a family of close friends that all share common interests as you usually. I would just feel like I was betraying them if I switched over to different LS all willy nilly like. Anyone else share this opinion? I'm thinking that the majority of the populous think LS Hopping is a great idea ^^;

Due to restrictions on some LS and people's personal feeling for one another, I carry around about 3 different LP at all times just so I have people to talk to at all times. The way I look at it is that I need to talk to certain people and unfortunetly, not all of them are on the same LS, or even want to be for that matter, so to remain in contact with the different groups I need to switch.

More importantly though is that usually about 2pm for me, on of my LS completly dies and I switch to the other that is just picking up at about that time.^^;

I also just have 1 LS for people who live in the same town as myself that I jump into whenever one of those people needs help with something. Different LS for different purposes I guess.

One thing I do wonder is if there is some kind of proper ediquite for informing people you are switching LS... I just kinda switch, which seems rude, but so does informing the whole LS that I am switching over too.... I dunno, that is the hardest part I have with multiple LS.^^;

I have 3 LS, all serve a different purpose. I have a static ls, just for coordinating leveling times(5 members). I have a NM ls, that I am the lowbie in, but I have some close friends in it. And I have a large ls that I just recently joined.

I am a big believer in earning respect, trust, and help- so I don't ask for help until I can/have helped others within.

The tough thing is, you meet alot of people in this game... make alot of friends, get alot of ls invites. So multiple ls is somewhat enevitable for some people. I often don't wear any ls... like when I am leveling, so I get asked if I need one sometimes. I am in the same boat as Bigboy though... what is the etiquite for switching ls?

I have like 3 linkshells that I keep on a regular basis, and yes I do switch between them. The one I keep on most of the time is GTC, only because I helped create it and it's usually a few friends of mine.

Do I whine for help on any of them? **NO**. A lot of people who know me in the game (and in real life for that matter) will tell you that I'm the type of person that will help everyone else out until I'm poor and dead, but I would rather be poor and dead myself before asking someone else for help. I do my best to be self sufficient, the only things I ask my linkshell(s) are answers to silly in-game questions.

all i can say is....your a whore yeah thats right LS whore.Its not even bad that you are in this many LS , whats bad is why do people bother giving you a pearl. But i expect nothing less from you because your are own known traitor to your own country. Bastok rank 10 so what i spit on that... windy rank 5 i spit on that too.... Ditch those crappy ass countries and come back to sandoria or i will hunt you down and make you join ballista so i can bittch slap you.

theres nothing wrong with having many LSes , but what is wrong is if you jump LSes just to beg for help and what not without contributing to them in anyway whatsoever. I use to have 2 LSes one being my own and another being a bunch of high levels. now i kept 2 because 1 was where alot of my good friends in game was and we joked around and chat and stuff like that. and the other LS i had just had some great players in it and was more for a learning experience. But then i became good friends with most people in that LS and evantually merged my own with thiers.if you have many LS and are a selfish person then NO you shouldnt have more then one and if you do i feel sorry for those other people in those LSs. But if you use it strictly for chatting and your willing to help people in all the different Lss you have then by all means . When i say asking for help what i mean is you never go in that particular LS unless your asking for help. Everyone watchout for these type of people just boot their sorry asses cause they are nothing but selfish pricks and who needs people like that anyways.
