There are rumors of Wopa being banned/suspended.
At the moment no one can confirm if he has and if it is permanent. We do know he knew of this exploit.

Everyone knew of the exploit after it was revealed. We know he knew of it before they patched it and that he used it. Atleast that was my understanding.

I am seriously worried. I know of 2 friends that liked to do Salvage and both of them haven't been on at all today. I do not know if they took part in this glitch or that they ever knew about it. I didn't until I got onto Alla this morning. But yeah, haven't seen them today...

They had a team that examined the drop rates over a period of time when people were glitching and getting three times the normal drops. No wonder they didn't raise drop rates. They had incorrect information because people were cheating. Within every zone there are thousands upon thousands of lines of code, of course there are going to be glitches. I do agree though, perma-banning is a bit harsh but the perma-bans were only for people that continually exploited the glitch.

That's stupid as hell. They should be punished for using the glitch. I'll give you an example. If a Bank makes an error on your account and gives you more money. Do you use the money that you just got out of that error? @#%^ no. Because as soon as they find out, they are going to track your ass down and throw you in jail.
It's not Square Enix's fault if the playerbase doesn't even bother to report such an error. When it finally DOES reach the surface and all that was done was revealed. You sure as hell can bet this sort of retribution was coming. The short fact is, what they did was illegal and against the ToS. The instant they kept abusing it was their own undoing and not reporting it was their downfall. Blaming it on Square Enix is just like everything else. lol A patsy.

To clarify further. Illegal could refer to terms of service as Illegal has the definition according to dictionary.com:

Terms of service are the terms we as players have to agree to. They are binding and therefore a rule to follow. Breaching that would mean "illegal activity". Why do you think they use it so often in their little RMT messages.

I was reading on BG tonight some of the comments from those who were banned, in the end the posts they left to their Ls's was kinda sad. So many years of playing (cheating or not) they are still left w/o warning to fill their lives w/ 5-8 hours of new activities.
