So the new Batman movie has some pictures out, if you're interested. Mostly of the new outfit and the Batmobile. Supposed to be a Batman + Superman movie. Probably lead into a Justice League movie if it does any good. I didn't think it would lead to this, but it did so okay. That's Affleck, if you can't tell. Or ... read.

I'm having fun with that picture.

I'm not really a fan of the fatbat symbol, and where are the nipples? Jeeze, it's like they got all the important things wrong.

I think the costume doesn't really mesh with the cowl, but I guess we'll see how that works.

Anyway, title and logo image has appeared. "Batman vs. Superman - Dawn of Justice." A lot of rage apparently over Batman getting top billing in what is essentially a Superman sequel and Batman reboot. I find that kind of funny. But, yannow, Batman has more selling power than Superman. Simple marketing.

I guess fatbat makes it easier to jam the Superman logo in there.

"Batman versus Superman" sounds better than "Superman versus Batman." Seriously, say them both out loud a few times. "Batman versus Superman" flows off the tongue more smoothly.

Is it just me, or has the DC Universe movies been an overall mess, and rushed, when compared to the Marvel? They don't seem to be too good at playing catch up.

Maybe it's just because there has been so many Batman and Superman movies in the past, before it was discovered that these movie "Universes" worked.

WB/DC and Sony are doing a bad job attempting to emulate what Marvel/Disney has almost perfected. Did you see ASM 2? It was like Sony didn't learn their lesson during Spiderman 3: too many villains will actually ruin a movie, especially if a fan favorite (in ASM 2's case, the Green Goblin) is handled poorly.

It almost seems like because Marvel, & to a lesser extent Fox, have these "mega"-franchises that DC/WB are going to build their own too - story be damned. They'll still make a bunch of money on anything with Superman/Batman in it, just don't expect them to be good movies like the Nolan Bat flicks.

I would LOVE to see Nolan's take on the Dark Knight Returns. Hell, it would probably be the best "comic book" movie ever made. But, they've given the plot to Snyder who's turning it into a Justice League prequel instead.

I, for one, am not too optimistic.

Might as well, here's some more news about the movie. Not really new, but seeing as how I'm not a particular fan I'm not following that closely either. Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, probably a cameo. Jesse Eisenberg to play Lex Luthor. The story is that LexCorp is a "young and edgy" company, and a leading telecommunications monopoly, and it is being used to slander Clark over how much destruction there was in the Man of Steel movie.

Get it? Young internet people didn't like the Man of Steel, and are treating him like a pariah. The critics of the first movie are the villains in this one. Smiley: laugh

Nebezial really draws the best Wonder Woman. Why can't we get someone that looks like this?
