The noise you hear is the sound of your childhood dying. Violently.

I heard about this last year at some point but thought the consensus was that it was a hoax. I will be sad if it is true Smiley: frown.

Well, earlier LeBron stated that it isn't true, but that if Warner wants him he is interested. Did find out that Michael B. Jackson is slated to play Johnny Storm in the upcoming reboot of Fantastic Four from Fox. Sue Storm, his sister, is Kate Mara.

I can't say that Space Jam featured prominently in my childhood. Probably because I was in my teens before it came out.

That'd sound worse if it wasn't coming from a guy who idolized Space Jam.

Yeah, I didn't know anyone looked back on Space Jam as some treasured film. I saw it when it came out (I was 14), and shortly thereafter it disappeared from my consciousness. I can't think of a single memorable moment, unlike say, its contemporaries Lion King or Toy Story. I have fonder memories of that era's Michael Jordan Gatorade and Nike commercials.

Plus, it was a blatant marketing money-grab with little artistic merit. So making a sequel isn't really spoiling its good name.

I'm probably from the generation this sequel is shilling to, and I understand the appeal. It was one of those movies played over and over when parents or teachers needed kids to be placated for some time. It had a catchy song, and the characters form the movie were at the peak of their popularity.

Actually, come to think of it, my school showed Space Jam, too.

I mean, they did it as this movie night event thing. I don't think I remember it ever being in class. But still. The only other movie event I remember them having is when the Tarzan movie came out.

I had a teacher in High School that taught the various science classes. She showed Gattaca every year, and made us talk about it. And seeing Olivia Hussey's breasts in what ever English course we took that showed Romeo and Juliet.

I saw Gattaca in high school. Just the once, though.

But teachers always skipped the sex scenes/nude scenes.
