It was pretty much inevitable given the popularity of season 1. I hope the fix the crazy pacing issues this time though.

The pacing didn't bother me in the original. I actually really liked the style of skipping forward big chunks of time.

What I DO wish, though, is that they were more consistent with the cast. If you're going to have that kind of long gap style content, then you need your characters to really be present. Weaving in and out of the main character's life only works when you're getting that story along the whole arc.

But I really liked the pacing as a whole.

That said, I haven't finished the first part. Smiley: lol I finished up through the episode where Mr. DW PKed that guildy, so I'm almost up to the end...

Yeah, I didn't have much issue with the pacing either. And I don't think certain allegations of a Mary Sue nature are completely true. Maybe somewhat or possibly even mostly true. But it was still enjoyable anyway.

That said, I'm starting to think that Log Horizon is the better "trapped in a game world" anime.

GGO is one of my favorite of the LNs, so I'm hoping this will be a much improved experience over the first 2 arcs. Tentatively looking forward to it!
