Hmmm, last one in a theater would be Captain America. That's probably the most recent I've watched. I know I also watched Zombieland recently (again). And Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist. My reviews:

Captain America: Pro-America propaganda. It was over-the-top ridiculous. I enjoyed it, but also disliked it. I didn't think anything in it was stellar, but so far as action movies go it was pretty good. Would probably have had a different reaction if I had been into the comic lore.

Zombieland: Probably my favorite zombedy (I think it counts as that). I really enjoy it... and Emma Stone is hot.

Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist: Eh. I bought it for a dollar when Blockbuster closed and I realized I hadn't watched it yet. It was a typical Michael Cera-starred film. He played the awkward, bumbling hipster who will always seem like a teenager. Nothing special; not as funny as Superbad, nowhere near as amazing as Scott Pilgrim.

That reminds me, I need to buy Scott Pilgrim.

Yogi Bear. We watched (most of it) at the town park last Friday on a blow-up screen.

The movie was really dumb. I think the 3-D might have been kind of cool. There seemed to be a lot of stuff trying to fly out of the creased canvas screen we watched.

Watching the kids though made it all worth it. They laughed and rolled in the grass and imitated the bears.

Then it started pouring and we all ran away.

I don't recall watching any other movies this last weekend.

I liked Zombieland. Woody Harrelson's shoot-out scene at the end is every fps'ers dream. The first time watched, I predicted the fate of Bill Murray, but it was still a hoot.

I like the whole zombie craze. It's still socially acceptable to commit imaginary acts of violence on the undead. (someone is gonna complain sooner or later though)

Reading the thread reminded me I watched The Matrix Reloaded Sunday afternoon. It was not any better watching it this second time. It kind of reminded me of watching ****. Too much of what's supposed to be the climatic stuff and it loses all it's edge.

Hilarious by Louis C. K. if a stand up dvd doesn't count, then:

5 cm/s people consider it a movie, but technically it's 3 20 minute episodes, if that doesn't count, then:

The Godfather

I just saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix last night, after four consecutive nights of watching the previous four titles with my wife. We'll be watching #6 tonight.

I just watched Big Trouble in Little China. The quintessential 80s movies. Ninjas, machine guns, ninjas, magic, ninjas, people exploding, ninjas, big *** trucks, ninjas, ghosts, ninjas, ninjas, monsters, Raiden, a beholder, and more ninjas. Action comedy at it's best.

The Tourist last night.

I understand it wasn't well-received by the critics (and yet it got all those nominations?), but I found it quite enjoyable. Jolie and Depp didn't have much chemistry, but overall it wasn't bad.

Watched Source Code earlier this week. I thought it was pretty good, and an interesting premise, though I wasn't a huge fan of the ending. (If they had stopped it about 5 minutes earlier it would have been great.)

Dammit man! Put some spoiler tags on that. You just gave away the entire plot of the film! ;)

It was randomly flipping through channels, but the last film I watched was The Poseidon Adventure. The original. Hadn't seen it in years (decades?). Still relatively cheesy, but Gene Hackman pretty much always kicks some butt.

The last non random channel flipping film was The American. Slower paced than I expected, but kinda interesting flick. Definitely had a more old school feel to it. You pretty much spend the whole film knowing what's coming, and wondering if the main character's figured it out, pretty sure he has, but he's just going through the motions in a way that doesn't reveal anything. Then bang pow! Done. It was a bit too simplistic plot-wise for my tastes, but if you're looking for a slow paced, reasonably intelligent flick, and don't care about too much excitement or action, it's not bad. Most of the character motivations are implied rather than detailed, so if you like stuff spelled out for you or handed to you in direct dialog, you probably wont like it. But if you're sick and tired of film writers always spelling every detail of every character out to you as a means of appealing to the lowest common denominator you'll be happily surprised that this film doesn't do this. Still wish it had a bit more twist to it, but I guess that's what they were going for.

I just finished watching Redline, which is pretty much animation for animation's sake. It's probably the best use of a that expensive home theater system for anything animated.

Saw "Thirty Minutes or Less" tonight. Not bad, not fantastic. For a comedy it was pretty damn dark. The dialogue is pretty funny and the actors play their roles really well, but I felt the movie overall was kinda weak. Lots of swearing.

Biutiful. If one wished to be honest, he/she could state they saw this thread a few days prior and the last movie they had watched at that time had been Demolition Man.

A fair question, but no.Smiley: laugh
When watching new stuff, especially if it's blu-ray, I got to my friends' place to watch on his 60" Hi-Def.
