The best book I have ever read but I probably won't be able to read it again but maybe in 10 years (because I'll have forgotten most of it by then) is...

Orson Scott Card's - Ender's Game

I found the subsequent following books to be disappointing but Ender's Game is a must read book for any and all Science Fiction lovers.

I disagree. I found the rest of the series entertaining, as well as another of his series that I'm currently reading.

Could anyone give a list of these series? My friend suggested them to me and I've read Ender's Game. This was back in high school and I haven't talked to him for a while. I would like to read it again as well as the rest of the series.

I agree with you. The first was a marvel, the remainder were duds.

Also, I do belive enders game will be released in theaters in 2007 or so.

Enders Game

Speaker for the dead

Xenocide

Children of the mind

There are also a parallel set of books

Enders Shadow

Shodow of the Hegamon

i haven't got the third of the series.

I liked three of the books Enders Game being the bast but Speaker for the dead and Enders Shadow being very good, but i just did't really get into the others as much.

They are ok but not of the same quality as the 3 i mentioned.

I've read the whole series and think Ender's Game is a must-read. Not only is it entertaining, it makes you think about a lot of issues that are important. Its a great coming of age story. Unfoturtunatley, the remainder took too mystical a turn for me...not that I don't like mystical, but it really ruined the series from my perspective.

Ender's Game - made me fall off my chair. Its a gem.

Enders Game was definately a page turner. I couldn't go to sleep after I had picked it up until I was done! I also really enjoyed "Enders Shadow", but after that the series sort of fell off for me.

I enjoyed all of the ender's game series, as well as Ender's Shadow, and Shadow of the Hedgemon. The squel to that is Shadow Puppets. I'm completely in love with every book in the series. I've re-read them all about 3 times, and can never put them down when I do...

I recommend these books to anyone. Some are slow at the start, but they get much better if you have the patience.

Currently reading Cards "Return to Earth" series. They start the same way. I think that perhaps that's just part of Cards writing style.
