I love ultimate fighting/Pride fighting/etc.

Lately, when I'm looking for party as bard, I switch on PRIDE fighting and watch that. It's much more entertaining than looking at that green exclamation point above my head for hours and hours... (and no, I'm not bitter about not getting any pt invites at all during the past week).

Yeah the payout scale is always @#%^ed up. I look at the payouts after every event and before lolChuck Liddell got ktfo he was getting more than 50% of the TOTAL payout for the entire roster. Iirc he made more money than Rampage did off that fight...

I'm kinda pissed that Tito @#%^ed up the other night but at least it didn't get him a loss. And how big of a dumbass is Rashad for actually thinking he had won the fight LAWL.

Haven't seen it yet. Heard a couple of glowing reviews, and then Jasinde scorched it on her LJ, so I'm kinda waiting for it with meh enthusiasm. Same with Harry Potter though for that matter, we'll possibly even wait for them on DVD!

I'm a huge fan of the books and have seen every movie... It's kinda interesting to see what they can do with it, although they kinda screw it up a bit...

Also, yes, I know, you'll be disappointed if you read the book first, then go see the movie. Well, in most cases anyways. But I have read the books, and it's horrid. When I see the details that shouldn't be that hard to get in there forgotten, it just makes my eyes bleed. ><; IMO, you don't do anything if you can't do it correct. And they @#%^ed up royally.

Zanshiro hit the nail on the head. You can pack so much more information into a book versus a movie, that a majority of the time, the book is going to be better. Especially with the HP books; Rowling spares no detail when she writes, so if the director were to attempt to capture every moment on film, you'd end up with a movie that would be like...9 hours long. Best a movie adaption of these books can provide is a synopsis of the major plotline, with perhaps a few little things here and there. The latest movie was mediocre in my opinion, a few major details were left out that kind of made the movie's emotional value ring hollow.
