I have this odd vision of a charity. It is called 'Cheaper than glock'. It is dedicated to helping young poor kids getting their hands on books and lappies.. What do you think?

Why exactly do you want to help young poor kids get lap dances?

I do not understand the question. Have you not been a kid? Do you know how hard was it to get a decent lappy when I was a kid? The answer is very.

I also had to go school uphill, both ways.

Aren't you in the generation of students where bombshell teachers are sleeping with/ playing naked twister with their students?

The other day, I had a little flashback memory of something I had forgotten about for decades: when I was in high school, you could step out the back door during lunch and have a smoke in the courtyard. I think you had to be a junior or senior but the school was fine with you and your friends just hanging out in that area and having a cigarette. They had ashtrays out there and everything.

This was in the late 80s but, thinking about it now, the concept of sanctioned high school smoking feels as distant as Mad Men.

I had a dream about ending starvation, genocide, and poverty, but I can see how the rest of you would be focused on others things.

I watched a lot of late nigh scifi horror movies/shows as a elementary schooler. Alien, Hardware, Guyver, Fire in the Sky, Screamers, Cube, as well as various episodes of The Outer Limits. This lead to generally unpleasant dreams of being eviscerated/vivisected.

I had a dream where I nailed Hollywood starlets on top of a pile of robots I destroyed with my laser bazooka, but I bet your "ended starvation" dream was nice, too.

Jophiel, I should tell you earnestly and explicitly before the forum goes kaput that I've both appreciated and learned from your argument style (often with gbaji). Your points are typically well supported where need be, but not so unnecessarily thorough that you'd be be drained of ability to address the very next topic, which is a good balance of efficacy and efficiency. I also admire your dedication to representing your perspective. You're almost always willing to make the case, and approach the opposition genuinely, even knowing the historical direction the conversations tend to go. It's almost always a fresh start. It's difficult for me to say which points specifically and to what extent, but I'm pretty sure you have heelped shaped my views on many aspects the general liberal-conservative split.

I should also tell you earnestly and explicitly that regardless of how long the page takes to load or whatever error message you are told, the post pretty much always goes through with a single press of the "post" button.

Hey, those are indeterminate dual-state phrases, language rules suggest that they should be taken as opposite phrases when used in conjunction!

At least it's not mandarin fuckery where you are supposed to accept one meaning and talk as if that is the only one while the other meaning is the true and understood meaning.

God, other cultures are so weird. I can't believe that's considered unusual in the US.

Out here, we just lie to ourselves, and complain when other people do the same. You might wonder if that causes domestic disharmony, but we have guns to keep the peace.
