This morning Jonwin's mother passed away peacefully in her sleep. She had been fine Later that evening she rode the chair up the steps to the kitchen and cried out that they had to help her, as she was in worst pain she ever felt. They called 911 and she was rush to the ER. Sadly we found out that her bowels had ruptured and she was septic. Since surgery was too dangerous, it was decided after she spent time in the ICU to put in Hospice, were she could pass away in peace surrounded by family.
We all said our good byes Tuesday, but she was a stubborn lady and waited until this morning, when only Jonwin, a grand daughter and I were in the room to go gently into the night.
Mary Lee was a seamstress, who skills were so wondrous that the Smithsonian would ask for her help on how to repair clothes in her collection. She taught my middle daughter how to sew and encourage her in her costuming and theater ambitions and study. I will miss her, but have wonderful memories to keep her close to my heart forever.
