Seriously. Just listen to what the pundits are saying and how they are saying it. It's laughable.at aligns with that ideology.
You're pretending this isn't Fox's bread and butter? Really? Are you lying again or just stupid? Because it really is one or the other.
Every time I come to Alabama, Sean Hannity's tlak show appears to be the default station on the car rental cars and that's just about everything he talks about. No proof, but a lot of suggestions.

It took Fox News a week to remove a completely fictitious "news" story about Seth Rich but, sure, let's whine about pundits Gbaji thinks are being mean to Republicans.

Looks like the health bill is getting to some politicians, as Montana GOP candidate Gianforte was charged for assaulting a journalist for being mean and asking questions about his support of it.

But still better than having a 'D' in the office. We're supposed to want passionate and high-energy politicians right?

GOP better hope he loses. Then at least they can say he was a bad candidate and be done with this. If he wins they'll have to deal with the legal fallout and the court hearings over this.

Ben Carson says that if there were more mothers who were threatened with hammers over arguments about clothes like his there wouldn't be any poverty at all.

I have absolutely no idea what that means, but am certain the Mrs. is going to take to hiding my hammer now.

He'll have a bit of an uphill climb, she doesn't really like black people or republicans. But that has potential too...

Was going to say "oh they'll just settle and be done with it, and everyone will forget" but I don't know enough about the guy that was beaten up. Was he just a run of the mill reporter? Or was he one of those people that basically get paid to ask annoying and controversial questions to the candidates from the opposite party?

The reporter was asking Gianforte about the healthcare bill that the CBO had recently scored, and then got bodyslammed. At least according to that liberal rag Fox News.

I don't think too many people are laughing it off.

The biggest problem I have with it is that Gianforte tried to lie about it, even with witnesses and video contradicting him. That's a special kind of stupid.

Charlie Sykes (conservative talk show guy) noted that being a conservative these days is all about taking formerly insane and unacceptable behavior and internalizing it until you change your standards and say it's now acceptable (or even something to be defended). That pretty much sums up the Republican Party for the last couple years. For example...

Of course not. It’s not appropriate behavior. Unless the reporter deserved it. -- Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA)

How on earth would the reporter have "deserved it" short of the reporter physically assaulting someone first? Which no one says happened. But this is the Party of Trump today and that means you have to just swallow, then learn to embrace, all sorts of behavior.

Except the Candidate and his Spokesperson(s?). At least the first couple days. Have no idea what they've changed their story to now, or how many people are going back/forth in this "he said - he said". You'd think there'd be footage available. But I haven't bothered looking into it beyond the first story a couple days ago.

Interestingly enough a Fox News reporter says he saw the Candidate "grab [the reporter] by the neck and begin punching him"... but according to those links the cops and reporter didn't say that.

True, I neglected the obviously false account by the candidate which was immediately shown to be false by the recording itself.

Is there video of the event? (Truly curious, wifi here sucks, I can barely get 10kb/s speeds. IT needs to get their shit together) Cause I've only heard the audio of the situation on CNN, and if anyone out there would have damning video to rub in a Republican's face, it'd be CNN. And I'm not sure how you'd tell physical contact by audio recording alone.

The audio contradicted the candidate's account of repeatedly asking the reporter to leave, etc. Eyewitness accounts collaborate that the reporter did not touch (much less touch in way that "deserves" the attack) the candidate. The "he said, she said" is more like when Trump gives a speech that everyone hears and the next day denies he ever said that. Yes, there's technically two sides but not really.

Speaking of violence it looks like we're going to try to pin a hate crime on our own wonderful Stabby McStabpeople. For the blissfully unaware he got on the light rail and confronted 2 women, one of whom was in a hijab, and started screaming, swearing, and generally spewing all sorts of racist and "get out of my country" stuff at them. Some bystanders decided to try and intervene and he ended up pulling out a knife and killing 2 of them. The hate crime thing is/was controversial because he wasn't actually being racist towards the people he stabbed, so it'll be interesting to see if it sticks or not, but it looks like they're going to try at least.
