Predictions:

1) Miliband goes back on his stupid promise and forms a coalition with the SNP.

2) Nick Clegg stubbornly refuses to do the honourable thing, whatever that may turn out to be.

3) Whoever wins, the economy will be trashed by the bizarre mix of austerity and splurging that is now so popular.

4) Whatever happens, the union is irreparably weakened; the Conservatives want to get rid of a bunch of leftists and the labour party realises how toxic the SNP makes them in England.

5) Boris Johnson becomes inexplicably even more popular and takes over from Cameron next election.

6) Britain continues to sleepwalk towards EU exit.

7) Obama calls the winner and pretends to like them, even though no-one possibly could.

8) The Queen's Speech, drafted in Miliband's blood, is read aloud to a hung-over electorate.

9) General gloom.

I left it pretty late on this thread so you guys don't have to pretend to care about our ******** for very long. You're welcome.

Clegg is easily the most disappointing politician I've seen a long time. I'm amazed Cameron doesn't just bugger him on live TV regularly like the pig from Black Mirror.

"How much of your soul would have to give up, Nick, for"
"All of it! All of it!" "
"I haven't even explained what you get in return yet"
"Doesn't matter! I just want to be part of the winning side!"
"Great, then you can be Assistant to the Regional Manager, and see your party lose half it's seats"
"Great!"

Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen anyone parley a kingmaker position into less than nothing before. No major policy aims achieved, fallen to fourth largest party with the SNP and Greens nipping at its heels. Nice one.

Fascinating from a data analysis standpoint if it holds up, though. I mean, **** your quality of life for the next decade, the polling breakdown is pretty interesting.

We shouldn't let Scotland leave. We should kick it out.

At least the Lib Dems got ******* I don't know how they can possibly justify a coalition if the Tories fall just short of a majority, but I'm sure they will find a way just to **** me off even more.

So, you surely have a better sense of the pulse of the average limey than I do. Is Labor just really that uncharismatic?

Well, the left in this country hasn't argued properly for its ideas for a very long time, and Ed Miliband is pretty personally uncharismatic. He has also been targeted to a ludicrous degree by the popular press; pretty much every Sun article for the past month has taken a swing at Miliband, and the telegraph actually sent a 'vote conservative' plea to its entire mailing list.

Personally, I think the surge's more due to last minute fears about the SNP holding Labour/the UK to ransom, which seems to have played out very well in England, coupled with Labour losing even more seats to them than they expected in Scotland itself. Also, the Tories targeted marginals much better but, you know, that's to be expected.

Hard to call, though. I mean, these are people that believe the UK economy has done well these past 5 years, they are capable of doing anything for any reason.

That, and Ed Miliband. He was the X-Factor. Or well, whatever the opposite of X is.

Like Kavekk said though, the english people are a strange mixture of smug and terrified. Smug because they're not greece, terrified that they might become it. So yeah, **** everyone else.

Amazing how you can do without the essentials of life, so long as you have the little luxuries.

I thought you silly persons were ruled by a Queen over there? What's all this election nonsense? You've already got two or three more generations of dynastic rule lined up...
