But I went and got my own Domain. elneclaredesigns.com is mine Set up is simple for now, as I still working on photographing my current stock of jewelry and I haven't try anything fancy with code, as I'm just only learn the basics of SiteSpinner Pro. Took me 3 days to get the settings right to upload the page I created. Wish I could afford a copy writer, as I been lucky to find some of the worst spelling errors. I still have to fix the cite on the about page, as it's been years since I had to worry about quoting a reference book.

I'll be adding e-commerce soon and just using my Etsy.com site for my low end beaded necklaces and bracelets, First though I have to finish the first draft of my business plan and have the people at the Small Business Technology Development Center help me polish it and the web site, before I run out of personal funds and have to use some of the money I squirrel away in my business checking and savings account to live on. Currently I have just a little bit more in my personal checking then the business account, but that shouldn't last that much longer, as my inheritance dries up.

Plan is to try not to spend much on tools, so I can cover the web hosting fees for long enough to start making money from it. I already bought new business cards and postcards with the link on it.

Some grammar checks below:

elneclare website wrote:
"At Elne Clare Designs we design and make art jewelry. Each piece is designed to be unique and care is given to each piece of jewelry, so the wearer will be proud to wear it whether the occasion is formal or casual."

elneclare website wrote:
"Elne, ellen sb [Com. Teut.: OE. ellen] Strength, courage(also in OE, zeal) So Elne v. to strengthen, comfort.

The Oxford Universal Dictionary on Historical Principles
The word 'Elne' may no longer be in common use, but ever since I found it while looking in the Oxford Universal Dictionary my parents brought home from my grand parents, I have used it to describe myself.

Born Ellen Claire Montgomery, I always knew I wanted to be an artist, I just needed to find the right medium to work in. I tried my hand at just about everything once and I spent 2 years as a drawing major at Maryland Institute College of Art. The reality is that I didn't want to end up selling fries, so I changed colleges and my major without thinking about how being dyslexic could effect my grades. Actually I didn't know I was dyslexic back then, but my freshman English teacher did say I had a learning disability that affected my writing. Back in high school, I gave up on any dream of a writing career, though I did well, when it came to poetry.

It's taken a lot of strength and courage for me to make it here today and get past the roadblocks I've faced growing up and in my marriage. For years, just surviving took all of my strength, and yet I did. And with the help of friends, and years of therapy, I finally reached a point where, along with the strength and courage, I found the zeal to do something I've always loved.

Creating art has always been a passion of mine, but during the years of depression, I just didn't have the motivation to create anything."

Hope this helps

Jonwin just went over the text and made major changes that I then went and redid to fix some of this lack of understanding of what I was trying to say.

Really I can't write, but only ever found one person who understood me enough to edit my work, without lots of back and forth editing. The changes have been uploaded.

My input, take it as you will. I did a little bit of extrapolating what you wanted to say, my apologies if I was incorrect anywhere.

Boy, that intro really ends on a downer. You want people to feel upbeat and optimistic about your product. Scratch that line entirely and just end it at having zeal and doing something you love.

Just read the new about page, I like the tone much more. It is much lighter, and still informs where the desire to make the art came from.

The only things that I would look at are present vs past tenses. Generally, I read it out loud to see if it sounds right to my ear.

Your images seem to not look too vibrant.

I took your top banner, turned up the saturation in Gimp, and put the two side by side for comparison. You can see the results here (original on top, edited on bottom).

30 seconds on a completely free image editing tool. Personally I think it's an improvement. I think you want colors to pop. I'm sure there's a lot more you could do if you experimented some.

Stupidmonkey, I hadn't seen your edits before Jonwin got to edit the page.

Actually my life story is a big downer, when I look back at it. Thank god for modern anti-depressants and finding the ones that work for me. I still have an occasional bad day, but no more then any normal person has. Being Happy most of the time, for 3 years now has been wonderful.

Allegory, while you got the colors to pop, you have the pendant looking like it's made of gold, not silver. The photos were taken on a silver back ground, but I plan to redo them on white back ground to see if that helps. I have grimp3, but been using Lightroom5.2 for cropping and tint correction, but the silver on silver is problem I plan to correct soon.

Just wish I didn't have business plan to write hanging over my head. Seeing how bad my spelling and grammar is, you can just realize how much I don't look forward to trying to write the business plan. Thank goodness for editor friends and the SBA.

I actually rather be taking photos of the jewelry, then working on the business plan. Even though right now I'm just gathering research and filling out worksheets.

Simple, bright pages are always a plus. Concise descriptions, always good. The overlap of text and pictures kind of causes an nervous twitch in me. Growing is spelled wrong on the about page.
