Which, as I mentioned earlier, is not normally what people are referring to when they say something is "in the south", or "from the south". They're usually referring to the states that formed the Confederate States during the Civil war and/or those state which were Slave States and/or south of the Mason-Dixon line (and East of the Mississippi).
With those delineations I would think "Deep South".

Texas is full of yokels who talks all funny and drag black folks to death behind their pick-up trucks, so, yeah "South".

I thought we had gone through this before, but I see we need a refresher course. The south is TN, MS, AL, LA, GA, NC, SC. Edges of the south are AR, KY and VA. In extreme circumstances, and usually mostly in the past, MD was considered part of the south because the Mason-Dixie line is technically north of it. FL might be in the southern part of the US, but it is a northern state. TX is it's own, no one wants it. NM and AZ are the west.

Get back to me when you guys can come to a consensus. But in the meantime, I'll happily go on assuming that places like Vegas and Fresno are not in "the south".

Bijou's from up north. AND he can't see. Texas is not the south. Texas is Texas.

And speaking of the south, we're all going to blow away tonight anyway. Smiley: frown

Portland, Oregon, is on the list because of Fred Armisen’s IFC comedy Portlandia.
I dunno, I'd say Mel Blanc and Matt Groening, but whatever works for them.

Probably because no one watches IFC.

Don't worry you aren't missing much. I mean, it has its moments and everything, but it's the kind of show that's probably right where it should be on some backwater cable channel.

Maybe that's why they're on the list? I also remember lots of prairie dogs by the airport, they looked kinda funny. Oh! Also that Denver college class that spammed the WoW forums with surveys once a year. They were amusing too.

Edit #1: What funny does happen in Denver anyway?

Edit #2: Ah okay, you guys had Tim Allen.

I need to orchestrate an accident where I wind up in a body cast for three months and can catch up on all the TV I should have seen. Preferably something heroic to avoid others contempt.

"Jophiel's been doing nothing but watching Breaking Bad for the past two weeks."
"Yeah, but saving those orphans from that leopard messed him up bad so who are we to judge?"
