Frankly, I'm glad. Swearing simply isn't on. It's coarse, and gratuitous, and it lowers the whole tone of a place.

Because Reddit is aggressively ugly and has terrible site design? But it'll be what it'll be.

I think I'm going to use Bing for a while now. Smiley: glare
We'll just replace all vulgarities with "Bing".

Go Bing yourself.

So, starting in the next few days, we will be implementing additional words to the existing profanity filter, and enforcing it fairly rigorously, both on existing posts and those going back into forum history. One specific post that prompted this whole issue came from 2007 for example.
Here's my idea. Instead of filtering out words with bleep symbols do word replacements with random word of correct grammatical form, so there can be a big ol game of mad libs.

No, Google is good

Surrender your will.
As of this date.

I don't really care, but I do find it kind of interesting.

Might as well remove "no holds barred"from the forum description. The excessively vulgar language was one of the main draws to this place.

I can say *** because that just slang for donkey or mule. Back in the day people used to load as much stuff as they could onto their *** and trekking for miles with it. Sometimes the *** could become so overburdened that they would take multiple asses on their voyages.

I've been moving away from Google-ish stuff for a while now, this will move things along a bit more. Outlook mail is a nice alternative to gmail.

In addition to Outlook instead of GMail and Bing in lieu of Google, I've been hearing that Microsoft also has an internet browser available these days.

Okay, in that scenario, Google is the lesser of two evils...

I did just switch to an iPhone from the android last month, though.
