How do I make it stop thinking I'm in Italy?

Last week in a rush for an item for a coworker, I ordered something on my personal Amazon account. I had Prime so it was a free rush delivery upgrade on a big item. I used his company card, and it was from an Italian company. I deleted all his info from my account, but now Amazon thinks I might be shopping in Italy, and it has a banner ad on the main page asking me if I want to use amazon.it instead.

I did it from my work computer, and it's displaying on my personal computer. It's tied to my account, not browser history or cache.

Go to the Italian site, then scroll down to the bottom of the page. Under the Amazon logo all the way to the right is the link for the U.S. page, click it and then close/reopen the browser to see if you still get the message.

Also try adding your credit card and billing address to the account after clearing out the work one. It sometime keeps the previous card info cached until a new one is added.

Edit: If all else fails try changing the Country Setting under the "Manage your Kindle" page.

I went through all my account settings, the only card left is my personal one. I did find that it saved the Italian billing address, even though I had deleted the card and the delivery address. I thought for sure that billing address was what was causing it, but so far it still asks me.

Maybe I'll just have to wait until it forgets...

Amazon never forgets. You'll be recieving pasta reccommendations for life now.

Also, never order any titanium mill parts from them or you will be getting titanium hip replacement spam for the rest of your life too.

Yeah, they can be super annoying that way. I was making replacement ammo one time for my government surplus M1A1 and I made the mistake of ordering depleted uranium penetrating rods from Amazon. I have been getting spam from middle eastern and southeast asian arms dealers for two straight years now. I've tried everything, including reporting them to SpamCop. Nothing helps.

I even cleared my cache, and went so far as to shut my machine down, count to five, and restart. That got rid of the annoying buzzing sound in the computer speakers, but the spam continues. And I still get the clicking noises on the phone.

Log in. Your account -> My Recommendations -> Improve my Recommendations -> items that shipped to Italy -> toggle "Don't use for recommendations" checkbox next to them.

Or move to Italy, obviously, if you're already planning that you should probably go with it, the government *probably* won't collapse for at least another 5 years.

Sometimes the answer is staring you in the face. I just spent five minutes cleaning up my recommendation history. Thanks.
