We'll just call that "six degrees of sucky joke" and move on!

Thank you, thank you very much. I'll be here all week. Please remember to tip your waitress. And since you're dining alone, if you don't nobody will.

So you're saying if you eat alone, no one will see you being an abusive and or non-tipping patron?

I could eat alone if I could sit at the bar, and watch a game on TV. I wouldn't want to be just sitting in a booth by myself. Otherwise I'd rather save the money and eat in. I go to restaurants for the communal experience more than the food. (Same with the movie, I'd skip it and Netflix something instead.)

I often do both, but there have been times when Elne was not feeling well I would not go out as I didn't want to go alone.
Since I volunteer usher I often see plays by myself. Taking Elne later if the show is good.

I eat alone on an almost daily basis. I have lunch by myself everyday at work and I love it. Gives me a chance to chill out in the middle I a work day and read my book for an hour. Right now I work in a hospital so going down to the cafeteria by myself isn't so weird, but at my last job I would go wherever I wanted for lunch by myself, and some paces were a little more upscale than TGI Fridays. I never sit at the bar because I like the room to lay my book down on the table. I try to tip well because I know a larger party could be using the table, and I don't want the waitress to feel they are getting shafted. My husband doesn't get off work until ten at night and sometimes, when I'm really craving something in particular, I'll stop at a restaurant for dinner by myself, too.

I have been to the movies by myself a few times. The first time was to get away from an overly annoying roommate. The other times were because I wanted to see a movie I knew my other half wasn't interested in and he was working or otherwise busy.

Having said that, I Ike the idea of a service that will match you up with other people to have lunch with because I personally have no idea how to find women to be friends with when I'm not working or in a class with them.

Match.com -> Find Lesbians -> Friendzone them.

You might get a free meal out of it, too!

Smiley: laugh I actually would like to have some gay friends, but I have the feeling that this wouldn't end well.

You realize you're only able to do this because you're a selfish non-woman that refuses to do her duty and have children! Smiley: mad

Yeah I would eat out by myself without a second thought. Watching a movie I voted yes due to I would do it if I actually went out and watched movies, which I really don't. I would go and watch movies though if I was into that. Same goes for a concert, last one I went to was down in Houston with a friend. I wouldn't mind going by myself if I could be ***** to get off my bum and go.

Yeah this is me. I voted yes to both because if I wanted to see a movie I would go alone, but I haven't actually cared enough to go to a movie in ages. Would certainly go see live music or any other show alone if I wanted to see it as well. I like dining out alone, and do it fairly frequently. I bring a notebook to scribble in, a book to read or a portable gaming system and enjoy myself.

Words hurt, Nad. Now I have to go home and have crazy, loud sex with my husband in every room of the house to reaffirm my womanness.

Dinner alone, but not movie alone OR with anyone. Migraines.

So I voted both alone, but that's assuming the movie is a DVD is on the TV at home.

Sure you could have. You could have said, "You can call them Ushers! Or Chris Browns if they get violent."

Still probably wouldn't have gotten any laughs, but at least we would have gotten the joke to groan at it.

I do go to movies alone. I'm very **** about watching movies for the first time. I don't want any talking, no interruptions. My wife is a huge chatterbox and never shuts up, so she's out. Hell, for my birthday a few years ago I went to see Bourne Ultimatum by myself. Also saw The Departed alone.
