So, speaking of the "War Against Women" and the Democrats' large polling advantage among women:

http://thehill.com/polls/222967-hill-poll-romney-leads-in-respect-on-working-women-issue wrote:
On the issue of which candidate better understands women’s issues, Obama has a slight advantage over Romney with all voters, 42 percent to 40 percent, but that was a statistical tie given the poll’s 3-point margin of error.

When it came to just women voters, 46 percent said Romney better understands their issues while 41 percent said Obama is better.

The article goes on to say that single women poll overwhelmingly for Obama, and "[a]ccording to U.S. census data, single women now slightly out number married women, so poll results could indicate Obama will be slightly better off in the female vote in November."

Still, this seems to contradict all of the doom and gloom being predicted for Romney's ability to court the female vote.

That article says married women favor Romney by 7 points while single women, the larger bloc, favor Obama by 28 points. If you can't see the problem there... well, better for Obama, I guess.

The problem would go away if all those liberal hussies would settle down and become proper housewives. Then Romney would be a sure win! Smiley: schooled

Ok, that was pretty funny. Women can't get pregnant from being raped. Smiley: laugh

As I noted earlier, the GOP has a big polling issue with women right now. Even the GOP doesn't try to deny this, relying instead on lame "Well, they'll change their minds when they get to know us" hand waves.

Female voters have boosted Mitt Romney to his highest favorability rating to date, according to an ABC News-Washington Post poll released on Wednesday.

While still negative, Romney’s favorability among women is on the upswing, with 40 percent saying they have a favorable view of the presumptive GOP nominee, compared to 44 negative. That’s a 21-point swing from the same poll in April, when Romney was at 27 favorable and 52 unfavorable among women.

Just sayin'.

He finally won enough delegates to presumably secure the official nomination at the upcoming convention.

Yeah, and that's probably a large part of why his approval with women is going up. Republican women don't have a choice in who they like now, do they?

The Washington Post article notes the gains came predominately from Republican women but it's no surprise anyway. I said six weeks ago that the GOP was aware of this problem; I was laughing at Gbaji for denying it existed. That the GOP would try to fix this (at least among their own base) isn't exactly surprising.

Until the Ron Paul Revolution (TM) comes along and kidnaps the delegates and holds them hostage for GOLD STANDARD!

There are seriously Ron Paul supporters who think this will happen.

Um... I didn't deny the poll numbers existed. I denied that this meant he had some kind of intrinsic problem with women. My assertion was that this was a temporary polling dip resulting from a massive ad campaign as part of the Left's attempt to hype a fabricated "war on women", that it could not be sustained, and that his numbers would rise to more normal levels once the hype wore off.

And I was correct. So nyah! Smiley: tongue

I do suppose that if giving people time and information to counter that hype is "fixing" the problem, then the GOP fixed it. Was pretty easy to do really. BS tends to smell after awhile after all.
