I'm on PS2 I don't know how the PC version does it.

When I take a screen shot with my controller the pics are in POL:

Navigator/Filemanager/(screenshots appear here)

Hope that helps and no I don't think you're a noob. I found out about his just about 2 weeks ago. >.>

I have pressed scroll lock to take off the text and then print screen button, but nothing showing up in the file manager on POL. I dont think my keyboard is set to compact but ill have a go that way and see if it works...

I missed a wicked shot the other day, someone told me how to do it , as in scroll lock.print screen, so I did. Logged out and checked... nothing there !!

The shot i missed was of two Rampaging Bulls in Le Theine being goaded together by two high levellers, who werent attacking them as, when i asked why not, they were waiting for their friend to get there..... So there i was this little Taru stood between two big fat angry sheep....*sigh and nothing.... oh well ill have to go play in the farmers field for a while then shove one of my kids in, click the camera, that will have to be second best for now :(

For Elffie: If your keyboard is not set to Compact then (I'm assuming this works on PC and PS2) you can use ALT+[ to clear the screen then ALT+] to take the screenshot (those might have to go the other way around, can't remember). Then check under Navigator>File Manager and on the bar at the top make sure it is on Screenshots and not something like Greeting Cards or whatever else is up there.

For Lithe: The default storage folder on a Windows PC for screenshots is at C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\PlayOnlineViewer\pub\home01\open\ScreenShots\FinalFantasyXI (copy and paste into Explorer). The files are already saved in JPG format, and I suggest moving them into a separate (easier to find folder) so that you can take more screenshots. I also recommend saving the default location to favorites in case you have trouble locating this thread again.

Elffie, I would recommend checking that location on PC also to see if you have taken screens. In your log window there is a message "Screen shot saved." so if you haven't seen that yet then you haven't been taking screenshots. Hopefully that answers everyone's questions.

LitheDiabolos wierd when I attach one of my screenshots in POL e-mail and send it to my yahoo e-mail address the screenshot was a JPG file.
