Hmmmmmmm.
Haven't posted for awhile, because I wanted to get as much as possible out of the game after being taken away for so long! :sob:
The big event this weekend was Sky, higher members formed to take on the long trip that would begin, spirits high.
We headed to the Temple of Uglapehaerablearety, Mages hid melee and themselves as we ran through the expansive overgrown temple, the Tonberries shuffled slowly across the cracked stone floors, muttering to themselves with evil intent. Finally we came upon The Den of Rancor, powerful fiends littered the area, we were all on our highest alertness. After finding the only flame that could light our Unlit Lanterns, we headed through the Den to a gate, four torches stood unlit, surrounded by fierce looking foes. Our courageous Paladin Makk leaped into the fray, rounding up the mobs as the four flame-bearers lit the torches, the gate slowly creaked open, allowing us to make a mad dash for the zone.
There it stood, a huge gate. This would be the first real test of the quests, a BCNM. Our party gathered itself, and entered wary yet courageous. There stood three menacing figures, a large Thief glanced at us, centered, supported by a Summoner and a Black Mage. In ran our Black Mage, Elemental Seal and sleep immediately sent the Summoner and Black Mage into a deep slumber, however the Thief became alerted and charged in. It was an easy foe, taken down quickly, even amidst the numerous castings of Sleepga from it's Black Mage minion. Next was the Black Mage, Slug Shot and a few destructive spells took him down fast, and allowed us to concentrate on the Summoner. Sleeping the elemental, we pumelled away at the Summoner, all of a sudden, a menancing Leviathen appears, and Tidal Wave sends us all into orange HP, but not to worry, a well placed Freeze on his forhead seals our victory!
Now we must find the Fragments of all elements, Scattered around Vana D'iel. Our travels take us to Behemoth's Dominion, where we face two Legendary Weapons, to The Sanctuary of Z'itah, to face a huge Doomed Flesh, to Cape Terrigan, to stand face to face with an evil Shadow, and through the deadly Ifrit's Cauldron to face two powerful Opo-Opo's. The last few fragments were easily taken without confrontation, from La Thiene, Western Altepa Desert and The Cloister Of Frost.
The next step would be to fight three mighty Anticans, deep within the sandy grave of Quicksand Caves. After finding the entrance, we emerged inside to find a huge Paladin, Ranger and Black Mage. Sleepga sends them all unconcious, as we head for the Black Mage first. He is quickly defeated, and attention switches to the huge mountain of a Paladin. His incredible defense produces a slow yet steady fight, and after some time he is floored, leaving all attack centered on the remaining Ranger. But this just isn't any ranger, this is a ranger with Silencega

. The two Ninja's square up against the Ranger, no silence yet, but as the powerful Ranger pulls hate for a split second, the Antican sees it's opportunity and lanches a powerful Eagle Eye Shot through her soft armour, 1500 points of damage ensures a timely end, and we are left without our main source of damage. Then it starts, Silencega over and over, the ninja's fight desperately to survive without their magic, however a well timed Silencega leaves the stronger Ninja without Shadows and he falls at the Anticans Feet.
Hate turns to the remaining Ninja, me, still silenced, shouting for Silenca I finally receive it, however the split second after I am silenced again, reaching for the Echo Drops I remembered I had, the Ranger lands three mighty blows, and I fall to the ground, un-silenced.
All that is left are the White Mage, Black Mage and a mighty Red Mage. Hate bounces between them as a well timed Benediction saves all three, the Black Mage enters Manafont and unleashes a Barrage of powerful spells into the Antican, but this sends it into fury, the Black Mage is defeated with ease. All that remains is the White Mage and Red Mage, they finally defeat it, with a well placed spell.
Although a devastating battle, we are victorious, and our friends also are, leading to some well needed Raise III's.
The Final Battle approaches, The Archduke of Jeuno has hidden motives and we must prove ourselves in a heated battle amidst the spire of Delfkutt's Tower. We enter wary of his power, Two rangers, a mighty Paladin, a lowly Ninja and Summoner and White Mage with Mana similar to a God. The fight is steady, we avoid his deadly attacks well, Echo Drops for Silencega, Erase for Gravity-aga, along with many other deadly abilities. Just as the fight seems to be smooth beyond worry, Kam'lanaut sheds all hate and unleashes a mighty Light Sabre into the Tarutaru Summoner for 1500 damage. The Paladin re-gains hate, and Kam'lanaut is defeated, an undoubtedly huge success.
We rest in our Mog houses, in anticipation of the final Battle before Sky. Receiving news the next day from Gilgamesh to visit a Mithra, we discover her in Rabao, she asks us to retreive a lost treasure for her, deep within Quicksand Caves. We head through the tunnels, past ancient depicitions, Menacing Antican and Sand falls. After Climbing down a large hole we find an interesting spot, It appears to be the treasure we seek. As I try to remove it, the hairs on the back on my neck stand up as I feel a cold shadow cover the area, I swing around to see an enormous Magic Pot. The Paladin Leaps into action, provoking the pot off me, we unleash all hell into it's ceramic body, victory is but a fight away. The Magic Pot crumbles as Dia defeats it, we receive the treasure and head back to the Mithra, who inturn hands us a misterious object, we are told to use it in the Hall Of The Gods.
After a long night people head to their beds, the next day I awake eager to explore Sky, I head through Ro'Maeve into the impressive Hall Of The Gods for a second time, I place my Cerulean Crystal into the shining gate, light resonates as it dissapears. Aldo and Zeid appear, wishing to follow me to Sky, we enter further and are approahed by Gods of Vana 'Diel. It is our turn to enter Sky, to witness it's awe. I enter a large circle, Kneeling under it's heavy power I am transported through the sky to a floating Island. I stand in a room, a clear floor allows me to stare into the huge drop that is the sky I am above, floating.
I run through an immediate hallway, the floor shines as I seem to glide across it, and I enter a new area, beautiful and serene, a pleasure to the eyes and senses. Running through Ru'Aun Gardens I notice many monsters, Magic Pots and Flamingo's none appear to be aggressive, I am led to believe this is a peaceful zone free of adventurer grasp and destrustion. I turn to see a huge walkway, inquisitive I begin to head down it.
The Ground shakes, I turn to see a huge statue staring at me. It seems some monsters here
are aggresive. I run as fast as I can, being the day I have not access to my full Ninja agility and I am joined by many more statues. The zone I am aiming for seems to be further and further away. This is it, I can't make it, I must summon all my power into a powerful final attack, Mijin Gakure.
I turn, a mighty Ninja, afraid of no foe. As my final Shadows fall, I summon the power to sacrifice myself in a huge explosion of pure devastating power!
Unable to Use Job ability. Burli is defeated by the Gatekeeper.
