im from wow too, also know nothing about the game and just started today, character name is branis and in bastok, only been playing half an hour and that was fiddling with settings and learning about the mog house. unfortunately due to a long day im going bed now, but if your in the area levelling message me and i need someone to learn and level with myself.
(I understand this is a world wide server, meaning USA and Asia included with europe, im in england and would prefere matching time zones, but if not dw, sure we can find hours which match, also, for the record, im completely new to FF11 in hope for something different from wow, and yes i did know your from wow because of your name)

On the topic of Black Mage in XIV:
They summon fireballs and fart lightning. From their eyes.
Even thinking about them makes enemies explode.
Having one in your PT is like a free ticket to defeat Absolute Virtue.
That's the reason why only one of them is allowed in PvP. Per server.
Imagine a cross-breed between Allakhazam and Sun Zu. That's a Black Mages's toenail.
