When we successfully finish these events for people, we'll move on to others. An hour or so of your time may mean the most beautiful and special moment for someone else -- they'll remember you for it. Please, volunteer, and show up on the times listed -- if you can of course.

Procedures for a help request:

Please post the message in the above link (the forum) with the following information. Please understand that I am only facilitating and helping to organize the help, and that I don't want people to get hurt feelings when I cannot manage to help 10 people every single night by myself :( I am 100% supportive of my fellow players, but expecting to just send me a /tell and demand that I produce an alliance spur the moment just is not possible, friends ^^. I'd like to see you arranging these events together, and using this as a place to MEET each other.

Do you ever stand around Jeuno looking for people to help you accomplish something, and just get nowhere? I'd like to make this an official request thread for players to request help and assistance from fellow players to accomplish either a quest, mission, AF, item...whatever you need and can't get help with.
Perhaps other's need it done too, and here's how you can find out!


I was thinking about the alliance that's gathering tonight for the hornetneedle (see other thread). Everyone seems excited, and I will make damn sure that everyone who attends will get something out of it -- even if it's just some skill up's on some weapon they've neglected, or a Hornetneedle if that's what they want. We're gonna have a great time, and that's what a server forum is all about!

So, you never know; What you need to do MAY be needed by others too, and this is a great place to request help to get it done!

Please respond if there's something you'd like help with, what type of people you could use to help you, and see if people are down! :) Please keep in mind that if this takes off, and people start organizing to get things done (which helps everyone progress), a "scheduling system" might have to be in place. We can't help everyone at once, and that's ok. We're all people with schedules to keep -- but if we can schedule a time when we can get something done for you, then great.

Bahamut is a great server, and we have alot of quality players. We also have ALOT of Japanese players, and unfortunately the help from them seems...hard to get to say the least. So, let's unite and help each other reach where we need to be!

I'm going to need some help with AF soon here, and I'd appreciate any help I could get ^^;. I also love to help out with Rank missions and the like, and I'm up for helping anyone with job quests and such.

I'm usually willing to help on most AF1, AF2 (I can pretty much solo most AF2 mobs at this point) and AF3. I'd like to say I'm willing to help on coffer key hunts, but those are at least a three hour time commitment so I'm not always up for them.

Misc. stuff like getting to Norg or something isn't a big deal, given I have enough time :P

I'm always looking for some sort of adventuring. I'm up for pretty much anything even though I'm only lvl 41 right now.

Good idea for a thread jersey.

I'm having trouble finding some help to fight the Mission 2-3 dragon in Sandy. If anyone could lend a hand I'd be most appreciative (char name: Theta).

I spent hours tonight lfp, without so much as one reply to my shouts/tells. So many anonymous people. For a MMORPG, FFXI sure does feel lonely sometimes.

I can blink tank with my NIN sub. Send me a /tell ^^

I need help getting a wp to this server... or any server for that matter because i dont like my old one (no parties.)

OMG Jersy I always bithch about this issue. I am always seeing people asking for help and and getting none. I send tells to people to help and they will say "OMFGWTFBBQTARUS! Your the only person to send me a responce thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!111onetwo"

I tried to get people to help me kill DS once and needless to say that I did get tells from greedy people asking for 60k and such to solo his ace for me. I'm thinking yea.. ok... O.o did you just send me that tell?

Haha, I did the exact same thing for one of my LS mates when he finally got around to doinghis dragon. I had just hit 22 and they needed a tank, so I said what the hell. It was my third time fighting him, and my first time tanking. It was probably the best time we did it too, almost beating the record.

To keep this on topic, only being a lvl 38 thf/nin won't help too much, but I'm willing to contribute. There is only one item so far that has been out of my reach that I really want, and that's the Emperor Hairpin. I'd love if I can get a full party there camping him someday (including Song if he was willing) just so I don't have to farm 400k to get this blasted thing.

Ok, so far I see two help requests:

1. The Mission 2-3 Dragon

I've volunteered to tank, as my NIN sub. I could use a /war or warrior main to seconary voke for me to get my shadows up. Another Nin/war is fine :)

Anyone else wanna help us? Just come as your subs if you're a higher level. Let's break the time limit! :D

And of course, as we all know -- we need either a bard or someone capable of sleeping the dragon while we off the eye.

Please reply to this thread if you're volunteering for this fight for our fellow Bahamut-an.

(my personal Biatch -- no sweat here, he's a chump)

He's so painfully easy with a strong party. No alliance needed. So thats 2 people, and I'll go with my Thief main.

Once we have the official volunteers, we'll schedule a time and date to meet in Jeuno or wherever we agree on ^^.

I can help with the Dragon. I'm a 23 WHM, and I've fought it a few times before. (okay so I didn't do any of the actual fighting... but you know what I mean)

I'm free on Saturday nights, Sundays, and Mondays... other than that I'm working till like 11 PST. But, if you're doing it during my free time, I will definitely help!

If I was a higher level I'd help with some of the other stuff. >.<

Great idea.. im in to help with whatever in hopes of help for myself and friends.

AF3 is the hot issue recently with my friends and I. Personally I need my RDM AF3 "Pimp Hat" I have to kill a NM bogy in Feiyn and then a NM statue in Garliage.

I know a few other people need AD3 help like the WHM who made a separate post about it. My static pty friends also need AF3s.. a 58 PLD and 58 WHM. WHM AF3 NM is also in Feiyn and the PLD AF3 is 2 NMs in Davoi. So if anyone is doing any of these.. look me up /tell Vortech we will come along.

BTW Dark spark isnt a problem at all.. just tell if u need help.

Still another mage type -- pref. a RDM but BLM is fine ^^

The fight isn't hard. Anyone else who needs to kill DS for their AF hands or just wants to come have some fun -- please let us know.

Proposed Time to do it - Saturday, any time, say 6pm PST? I don't know what that is in everyone else's time, so please do the conversion and tell me if thats ok for everyone. I figure it's a nice round time frame. Expect to give up about an hour, two at the most. The fight itself will take about 2 mins, but traveling to Castle Baileys could be difficult if even ONE person doesn't have teleport capabilities. PLEASE PLEASE take a minute on your own if you don't have it to go to Xcarbard and get yourself the gate crystal. You can get a map of the Northern Regions by:

1. Going to Sandy, buying some humus off the AH and activating the quest off the NPC in the big cathedral place (the royal grave in the back) and immediately trade the NPC the humus for a map. Some fame is required to get the quest, but not much.

2. Trading a Flame Degan (AH -- swords, 8K) to an NPC near the consulates in Relude Gardens (sp?) above Upper Jeuno.

That should cover maps, and if you get a crystal on your own (E. Ronfaure >> B. Glacier >> Xcarbard, I think) we can just pay Jellsica 3,000 gil (I'll pay) to warp our party/alliance.

* * * NOTE * * * Bring PLENTY of sneak oils (an entire stack if you can, I'll have 2 on me anyway (I camp coffers there alot due to the lack of competition, and the fact that I'm not stealing anyone's AF as a result -- who said thieve's have no honor??) and if you CANT invis yourself, bring some Prism Powders too. "But JP! We have mages with us!!" -- I know. It's so much easier to worry about your own self than 1 or 2 mages having to deal with "my sneak is wearing" every 3 seconds. Believe me, a sneak oil typically lasts longer anyway. I know the way to DS, and it's RIGHT inside the zone almost. We can make a mad rush there with ONE sneak oil.

If you need assistance, try to set your macro like this:

/p Wait up guys -- Re-sneak/invis'ing!
/wait 1
/item "Sneak Oil" <me>
/wait 3
/item "Prism Powder" <me>

-- If your sneak begins wearing off, you MUST cancel it out before applying a new one or it won't have any effect. Also note that reapplying the sneak WILL cancel invis. We'll be facing all types of aggro in there, but our PT can handle them if they aggro. I'm just informing those who don't know, for those like me who like to do their homework. ^_^

Ok, so Saturday (this one coming up) -- 6pm PST

(unless that doesnt work for everyone) we can meet in lower Jeuno and plan to head out to Xcarbard and kill DS. Afterward we can have our mages warp us out, or whatever you want. If you have enough sneak oils / prism powders I can give you a tour of the castle and where coffers pop if you'd like, at your own risk of course :)P

Check Back here regularly to see about updates on this scheduled mission, please! Also, please...don't let your brothers and sisters down. If you volunteered, we're counting on you to be there :( -- If the time doesn't work, noone will think badly of you if you just say so here. Please don't not show up because you had something you had to do. This is a volunteer basis. Remember that the more people help each other, the better the chances are that we'll be there for you when you need us.

Proposed Time - Sunday Evening, around 5pm PST (this one coming up). Please convert this time to your respective time and tell me if this is ok? Won't take us more than an hour, including time to travel. Remember that you will be level capped at 30, so try to equip accordingly. I've done it almost naked except for weapons before, though I wasn't tanking at the time.

Remember that the strategy (for those of us who may have forgettin :P) is to sleep the dragon, kill the eye, kill the dragon. Lets break the time limit!!

30WHM/15BLM -- I also need to do 2-3. Which dragon? I'll be killing Sandy's dragon. I can't enter anyone else's dragon fight until I've completed this one, so I'm sorry if that's not any help. :/

That time should be fine with me JP (provided I can finally take my annual leave next week *fingers crossed*).

Ya so far every AF3 Ive heard of so far needs an alliance which is the hardest part of it all. Also its an alliance of 55+. So whoever needs AF3s pls say something so we can help each other out.
